Ever since Technus acted on his feelings of mischievousness all of Casper High, the A-listers and faculty included have been giving Tucker a wide berth. No one, not even Danny and Sam has ever seen him on the warpath like this and quite frankly it scares them.
Tucker on the other hand doesn't understand why everyone's acting so apprehensive around him. It's not like threatening to erase a ghost from existence is anything new. The Fentons and Valerie do it all the time.
But whatever. None of this is of any importance to him. The only things that matter right now is getting past Titans East tower's security and deleting those love letters before they're opened and read, then keeping his promise to take Technus' afterlife for daring to expose his most embarrassing secret.
Unfortunately, he's too late in completing the first objective. Not only is every last one of those emails now marked as read, the object of his affections is in the process of typing out a response.
Okay. This is fine. This is perfectly fine. He can easily fix this by living out the rest of his life off the grid. But first, he has a technology obsessed ghost to end.
Meanwhile in Steel City
It was a lot to wade through, but Bumblebee managed to get through all her not so secret admirer's love letters. Though rather cringeworthy, especially that attached audio with that horrific excuse of a singing voice, it was all strangely charming and kinda sweet as well. Bumblebee is honestly touched. So much to the point that she'd like to meet this Tucker Foley and get to know him better. She's already sent forth a reply requesting a time and place.

"why couldn't shuro have just been honest about what he felt with laios and falin it's not that hard" are you. are you White
#dungeon meshi#shuro#toshiro nakamoto#look you can hate him for other things but this is very clearly a case of cultures (& personalities influenced by these cultures) clashing#shuro is japanese/east asian-coded and laios is european white boy#i am not japanese but i also come from a collectivistic society#pakikisama is a filipino value both prized and abhorred#it relies heavily on being able to read social cues and prior knowledge of societal norms#shuro being from a different country/culture is important to his character#his repressed nature is meant to contrast with laios' open one like that's the point#they both had similar upbringings but different coping mechanisms#shuro explicitly admits that he's jealous of laios being able to live life sincerely#anyway the point is they were operating on different expectations entirely and neither had healthy enough communication skills#to hash things out before they got too bad#re his attraction to falin i personally believe he unfortunately mpdg-ed her#she represented something new & different. a fresh drink of water for his parched repressed self#alas not meant to be#i'll be honest the way ryoko kui handles both fantasy & regular racism in dm is more miss than hit for me#i don't doubt that a lot of the shuro hate is based off of marcille's pov of him#marcille famously racist 😭#characters' racist views don't often get (too) challenged#practically everyone is casually racist at some point#anyway. again if you're gonna hate shuro at least hate him for being complicit in human trafficking & slavery#he couldn't help falling for the wrong woman goddamn 😭#calemonsito notes#edit: upon further reflection i take back what i said about toshiro mpdg-ing falin!#i'm sorry toshiro 😭

Let’s be clear: while it’s true that body diversity has existed throughout history, the modern celebration of fatness as "just another body type" ignores the reality of what’s happening to our health.
Historically, brown fat was crucial for survival. It’s a type of fat that actually burns calories to generate heat, especially in cold environments. It’s adaptive, it’s healthy, and it’s part of what kept early humans alive. But the fat that many people accumulate today is very different—it's white fat, and it's largely a result of the sedentary, fast-food-driven lifestyles we now lead. This isn’t the "natural" fat of our ancestors who lived active lives hunting and gathering. This is excess fat, often stored viscerally, which wreaks havoc on the body by increasing the risk of chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and metabolic syndrome.
To pretend that being significantly overweight is just a “normal feature” of the human body is to ignore overwhelming scientific evidence. Yes, humans have always varied in body size, but obesity has never been this rampant—it's a direct result of modern overconsumption and underactivity. And no, brown fat won’t save you here. The vast majority of the fat on overweight and obese individuals is white fat, which stores energy instead of burning it, and is directly linked to health crises we see today.
Let’s not sugarcoat it: being obese is not a natural state for the human body, and it certainly isn’t without consequences. If you want to argue that fatness is "normal," you also have to acknowledge that this "normal" is contributing to one of the greatest public health crises of our time. The modern obesity epidemic is a problem, not just a difference in body type. So, let’s stop pretending that it’s all harmless. It’s not.

New grocer turns food swamp into hub for healthy food options on Detroit's east side
We first brought you this story back in February about a Black-owned grocery store set to open on the city's east side, and now it has come full circle as we take a closer look at the work being done to create a more equitable food system in Detroit.
"The city really showed up and showed out on our first day, and it's been very steady ever since," Raphael Wright said.
"This store is the only convenient grocery store that's in this area," Wright continued.
Over the course of six years, Wright, with the help of crowdfunding and a grant from Motor City Match, took what once was a food swamp or an area with more access to less nutritious foods than nutrient-dense foods and turned it into a hub for fresh produce.
"I do want a healthier Detroit," Wright said.
His goal is to aid in a large-scale effort to create a more sustainable and equitable food system in the city.
"He came already connected to the community," Winona Bynum said.
"So, he opened with the idea of making sure that he's serving the community's needs," she continued.
Bynum, a registered dietitian, heads Detroit's Food Policy Council, a group dedicated to supporting grocers like Wright while ensuring Detroiters are aware of healthy food options and policies promoting food security.
Detroit is continuing its coverage on food insecurity.
In an east side neighborhood, one business owner is taking the initiative to close the food gap.
The last Black-owned grocery store in Detroit closed its doors in 2014, and now there's a new owner in town working to bring culturally appropriate food back to the neighborhood. He's taking matters in his own hands to make Black history in his own backyard.
"This neighborhood is classed as a desert because there's no immediate grocery store in it," said Raphael Wright, owner of Neighborhood Grocery. "I'm on this mission of rebuilding the neighborhoods that I grew up in and that starts with food."
The building is currently under construction, but there's a bigger vision in the works. That vision is to bring a full-service grocery store to the corner of Manistique and Essex in the Jefferson-Chalmers neighborhood.
"Only about five to 10% of Detroit is designated as a food desert," Bynum said.
"However, we do have the need for more food access; we're not where we want to be," she continued.
In fact, according to the Council's latest food metrics report, nearly 70% of Detroit households are food insecure, a 7% increase since 2019, confirming the city's need for the Neighborhood Grocery and a hope for more full-service stores just like it.
"As a black person, we've got a lot to fight for, and we can't do it off McDonald's," Wright said.
"So, it's time to put some healthier food options in the community," he continued.
Neighborhood Grocery is located in Detroit's Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood; it's now open Tuesday - Sunday from 9 AM - 9 PM.
According to Wright, this is just the store's "soft opening," and he's using this time to collect community feedback before November's grand opening.

I'm thinking of starting a series to highlight different theatrical works to help bring awareness to plays and musicals that maybe don't get as much notice, but also to help fill in people's knowledge gaps.
Are there shows you want to know more about? Or want me to highlight one of your faves? Ask box is open.

I have trouble figuring out what I want. This isn't new, I'd been thinking of getting a tattoo since I was twelve and only did it when I was 21. I still don't feel the obvious "want" people seem to experience even with respect to transitioning, yet that desire hasn't moved since I came out as trans 8 years ago
So, yesterday, just because the time where I can start trying is kinda getting there fast, I decided to take a "Am I ready to have a baby" quiz, and I have to admit I was quite miffed that if you answer questions about your life with "I like my life right now" the test immediately goes to "you're not ready"
Idk, am I missing something about wanting children? I was fine with my arm without tattoo, that doesn't mean I regret mine. I don't understand why a person enjoying their life without children is apparently a sign they shouldn't have any... Are we meant to be miserable adults until we procreate?
Absolutely baffling reasoning.

me personally, I despise Jaya for the most part, but I think it works in a select few ways, those being;
pathetic fucking loser bisexual jay with his tall, buff bisexual polyam gf (she's also dating pix and skylor) (he does not mind at all she is happy that she is happy always)
mechanic/inventor besties
seabound jay dynamic where jay's always supportive of nya, and encourages/helps her with whatever she's going thru

Diet To Raise Good Cholesterol And Lower Bad — Is A Vegetarian Diet Good For Lowering Cholesterol?
Does a Vegan Diet Lower Cholesterol?
There is a wealth of evidence and reason that supports the impact of vegetarian calorie tracking on cholesterol levels.
Vegetarian lovers drastically reduce their intake of saturated fats and eliminate cholesterol from their diet by giving up all animal-based foods. This diet adjustment results in lower levels of LDL cholesterol, the cholesterol most strongly associated with an elevated risk of heart disease.
