I also like to think that for Doctors and people trying to gain her affection or even love is that she has No fucking idea how to reciprocate or return it and so she struggles a lot with letting people know she cares because in order to do that she has to let down that whole mask/wall. HOWEVER As of IS4 it turns out that she has managed to make friends at Rhodes Island because the last one of her lore bits from it she mentions that she needs to bring back souvenirs for some of her friends. When I read that I cheered out loud because it showed that she's been learning that its okay to be vulnerable, its okay to have friends and allies and to both let people care about you and to care about others.

I will always be weak to the trope of "Super powerful being of almost eldritch power learns to make friends with mortal/normal people while also learning to be human." I also like to think she is super possessive of the people she considers friends or even more than just friends, like the Doctor, although that's mostly just me projecting probably.

What are your Surtr thoughts?

I think she acts all cool and aloof, but in fact doesn't know what she's doing outside of battle. She acts edgy and standoffish because she doesn't know how to socialize at all, and in fact sucks at it, but doesn't want anyone to know that

Also she's a grown ass woman that shops at hot topic and has a very particular mall goth aesthetic that she thinks is the peak of cool fashion. I think she and Midnight should be friends because of this

One of her voice lines has her saying something about not bothering her about training the plebians in Arts fighting because they can't understand her power. As a matter of fact, she doesn't understand how it works either (her Arts assimilation is abysmal, and she actually has Feranmut magic, which she doesn't seem to realize)!

Chuuni edgelord "you don't understand my power" type, except she also doesn't understand her power or anything else and is just confused, lost, and lonely. She doesn't have her memories from before she was posessed, and she doesn't know what to do with her life now.

Louis was mourning his brother, he felt like an utter failure and so he’s always seeking family, seeking people he can care for, he can coddle, he can prove he is good too, but he loves people who either cannot stand coddeling and need a sense of looseness to live (Lestat) or people who grow out of coddling who prove to Louis he will always fail the people he loves (Claudia), Claudias turning, in many MANY ways mirrors lestats in that it was against her will, she was stolen from her home, and in her immortality she desires freedom but unlike Lestat does not have the agency/ form to get it, she will always be small, she will always be looked down on, even by Lestat who cannot deny how much she is just like him *taps mic* ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME!!
