I decided to do a hobbit breakfast featuring fried eggs. 😁😋

Most of it was based on a photo of the actual hobbit second breakfast I did for my marathon, for the 20th anniversary of Fellowship. I did change the hash browns to potato wedges though, since that seemed more likely for a hobbit kitchen. And I changed the fake bacon to proper English back bacon.

Painting this made me really hungry!

As have been the case every year during Christmas, we bought the Ham Royale (±1.8 kg before cooking) from NTUC supermarket. My family used to buy the whole leg of ham weighting approximately 5-6 kg but it is just too much for a few of us. What I love about this ham royale is that it is made from a slab of boneless pork with a layer of fat and cured. When I received the ham, I would slice it into thick slices and put them into Tupperware.

As when we want to eat it, we just take out the required number of slices to pan-fried it. Here, sis sauteed some red and yellow capsicums along with button mushrooms. She also fried eggs to go with the other ingredients. Took the toasted ciabatta and start layering the cheddar cheese, ham, sauteed vegetables, egg and mixed greens on top to make this Ciabatta Ham & Egg Sandwich.
