Friend: Hey, how was it?
Me: Oh, it wasn't too bad at all! *proceeds to tell you the worst fucking thing you've ever heard*
#Froggy's chronic bullshit#Flying with a wheelchair is bad actually#even as kind as people have mostly been I'm so tired#I got assigned all middle seats *by the accessibility coordinator*#I have better randomly assigned seats on this redeye tonight than I had booked the whole time#And there's nowhere to put my cushion?#And even though I can walk and get out of my chair TSA made me do pat downs instead of letting me go through the scanner#They just straight up ignored me even as they were very kind and gentle about doing said patdowns#I didn't even bother to bring any of my braces that made flying really not painful actually because they were so weird about it#Like they've all been really nice! But just... the procedures *suck*#But it also feels shitty to complain

The Batfamily in who I think is the most flexible to least flexible (w/ my reasons)
Richard (Dick) Grayson- I feel like this one just makes sense, no extra information needed. He’s the last Flying Grayson, he’s cannonly super fucking flexible, not much information needed.
Cassandra Cain- Once again feel like it’s a given. She’s a baller dancer, and she moves so agile on her feet it’s practically obvious she’s flexible and easy to move
Damian Wayne- Oddly enough I think this boy is like a wet noodle when he wants to be, he is flexible. But you’d never know unless you see his ass play limbo or some shit.
Timothy Drake- He gives flexible. He probably tried to practice Dick’s moves in his room alone when he was a kid and stalked Batman and Robin. He would definitely be more flexible than Damian if Damian didn’t have his young age. Tim could easily surpass Damian in terms of flexibility if he wanted, but he just chooses not to stretch everyday (bad idea)
Stephanie Brown- She’s like Tim- does NOT stretch enough. But she could rival Tim in terms of flexibility if she actually wanted to, she can probably do flips and splits better than Tim, but when it comes to back flexibility he’d win by a landslide
Duke Thomas- He’s got a bigger build, like a quarterback who’s only a freshman kind of build. He’s good at flips, dodging, and jumping, but I don’t think he does any kind of stretches that would improve his flexibility, just the kind of ones that would make sure it’s still working.
Jason Todd- Bro is built like a double fridge with a top AND bottom freezer. He’s massive. He’s got muscles that can rival his siblings HEADS. Hes tall, he’s beefy, and he’s a marksman. He’s flexible enough to do flips and cartwheels, but he cannot do anything that involves twisting his body up.
Bruce Wayne- He used to be just like Tim flexibility wise, but then he stated to adopt kids.
Barbara Gordon- This is in no way a jab at her, I fucking love her. Before the wheelchair she’d be placed between Damian and Tim. But now she’s got her shoulder and upper back- that’s it. Which is as flexible as she can get them, but it’s also half of her body. I love her so much though, she’s badass and without her everyone would crumble. So it doesn’t matter if she’s flexible or not.
Alfred Pennyworth- He’s old.
If we want to add Kate, i firmly believe she’d be placed Steph and Duke. She’s flexible, but also just enough to do all of the stuff she needs.
(I know there’s so many other members I could add but ppl only seem to care for these guys- but I might make a more thorough and longer one, with more family members, like Harper, Selina, Helena [depending on what universe], Claire, Luke, David, Cullen, ect.)

How he holds you
(Lost boys x gender neutral reader headcanons)
Warnings: Marko being a lil cheeky
Authors note: heeeyy chickens, long time no see♡I transferred to university and I have little to no time to write stuff like this anymore. Buut since it’s October, I gotta do my fav boys
David
-David doesn’t really hold you per say. You more or less cling and hold on to him.
-He doesn’t like seeming too vulnerable or soft when in public. Especially while on the boardwalk and the surf nazis are out and about
-However, if you’re standing next to him, he will casually put his hand on the back of yours. Theres something about his palm resting on your hand that just makes him feel content
-When you two are in the cave and hes sitting in his chair or on the couch, he always beckons you to sit on his lap. While you’re on his lap, he’ll snake his arm around your back and rest his hand on your thigh or butt.
-While he says its to “keep hold of what's his” it’s also so your back isnt digging into the metal of his wheelchair.
-It’s old and rusty and he doesnt really want you to be squirming cause it’s hurting your skin
-Some nights when the two of you are alone or you had a bad day, he lets you lay on his chest while he lays down on the couch.
-Your hands fall to his chest and his arms will wrap around you to keep you pressed comfortably against him.
-Even though his heart no longer beats, you swear you sometimes hear faint thumps when you mumble how much you love him into his chest
-Overall 6/10 cause he only holds you back every few weeks.
Dwayne
-Dwayne isn’t afraid to wrap an arm around your waist or hips while in public. It’s his way of showing people that you’re his partner and to keep you close to him
-He’ll sometimes put his fingers through your belt loops
-When meeting up in public, he’ll loosely wrap his arms around your hips while giving you a kiss. When meeting you in private, like at your house, he will actually give you a decent hug
-I like to think that Dwayne will link pinkies with you while walking around the boardwalk sometimes. He thinks it’s really sweet.
-When you two are in the cave, he’ll come up behind you and snake his arms around you and rest his head on your shoulder. His stubble tends to tickle your neck a bit
-he might take in a big inhale of your scent
-When you two cuddle, hes pulling you so close to him that you’re practically smothering him
-He loves it
-His hands will move all over the place. Your back, hips, thighs, butt, maybe one in your hair
-If you fall asleep, hes on cloud 9. He’ll most likely move you both into a small nest spot in the cave and either fall asleep with you or stay awake to watch you sleep. If you guys are at your place, he watches over you while you sleep.
-10/10 cause his cuddles are top notch
Paul
-Paul can’t keep his hands to himself so hes holding you all the damn time.
-Had a bad day? Let him hold you, he wants to make you feel better
-Theres a puddle on the ground? He’ll carry you over it
-Yikes babe, your shoe is untied, guess he’s gotta hold you so you don’t trip
-Yeah, hes very touchy
-Out on the boardwalk he loves to hold your hands. Like, he hates having to let go of your hand if you have to do something.
-Heaven forbid you want to eat or need to sneeze
-On the occasions where he takes you flying with him, he keeps you so close to him. He would never drop you but theres been a few times where you slipped from his grasp and it spooked you. So, he’ll have an iron grip on you while flying over the ocean or Santa Carla
-If you’re ever with him when he’s having a smoke sesh, he goes to maximum handsyness. God help you if you need to pee
-Like Dwayne, his hands are going everywhere, but hes gripping you as if you’re going to float away.
-He loves keeping you close because you’re so warm against his cold body. His cold hands will slip under your shirt and move around. He’s not trying to tickle you, he just loves how warm your back is.
-9.5/10 because his hands are cold as hell
Marko
-Marko’s not as handsy as the others
-Once in a blue moon, Marko lets you wrap your arms around him and he will envelop you in his jacket. It’s warm and it’s a really rare soft moment with him. It only happens when you forget a jacket and you’re both on the boardwalk and it’s freezing. Surprisingly, hes warm because of how thick his jacket is
-However, he mostly keeps a hand in your back pocket or he’ll pinch your butt. If hes showing you something, he takes your hand to lead you.
-Thats about as far as it goes in public.
-However, in private, it is a totally different scene
-He likes to hold you from behind. He sneaks up and wraps his arms around you while shoving his face into your hair
-He’ll only do this when no one is around. He does not want the others to see him like this.
-He does like to cuddle with you. He’s the big spoon and youre always the little spoon
-The feeling of your body expanding while breathing tends to calm him down since he easily gets wound up.
-While spooning you, he’ll lean forward just a bit to kiss you on the cheek. He will also sometimes entwine your hands and kiss the back of your hand.
-He warms up underneath the covers with you.
-Moments like that remind him that it’s okay to be relaxed with others
-I give him a 7/10

Random Individual Hermit Head-cannons
Xisuma: Voidwalker
Keeps pictures of his favorite moments from each of the hermits' first seasons.
Void searched for Pearl and Jimmy specifically. Did this right after Grian explained his backstory and that he didn’t know if his siblings were alive.
Adopted both Mumbo and False in season two, but at separate times. They don't talk about it much though. ______________________________________________________________
VintageBeef: Cow hybrid
Makes the best deviled eggs anyone has ever tasted. ______________________________________________________________
Mumbo: Had a phase where he was a bunny hybrid (have a shpeel about it but that's too long for this post)
Would wear a fake mustache when he was too young to grow one. (The others found it adorable)
Second person to find out about Grian's backstory ______________________________________________________________
Gem: Hybrid forms: Tropical fish/sea creature, Fox, Deer, Elf
Confronted/nearly killed Scott during an Empires' meeting after hearing that he abandoned Pearl in DL.
Can't use chopsticks. Makes them shish-kabob sticks instead.
Loves ice-skating dates (platonic) with Pearl.
If she can't plays at least one T-Swift song on a road trip. Then she's the only artist the car gets to listen to when heading back home.
Protective as heck when she finds out someone's sick. (Nurse mod Gem activates)
Harder punches mean more love, and Gem is, according to many, a 'very affectionate' hermit. >:D
Twin of Fwhip, sister of Sausage. ______________________________________________________________
Bdubs: Hybrids- Bug, Glare, Horse
Can NOT have energy drink. Will be constantly building, and answering anything via screaming. Not to mention, won't be able to shreep. ______________________________________________________________
Scar: Hybrid forms: Vex and Cat.
Has a chewing necklace he loses constantly
An amazing cook despite the kitchen being on fire.
Has wheelchair and cane accessories from his friends. ie. wheelchair handle spikes from Gem, heated Star Wars themed cane handle from Grian.
Bursts into Disney songs at ANY reference he hears.
Jellie trained Katy Bee to carry a mini first aid box on her collar for Scar. ______________________________________________________________
Tango: Blaze-born
Raised by phoenixes.
Left home to be on his own. The portal he took to the overworld put him in a snow biome. Nearly froze before Zedaph found him.
Can actually hover, but usually forgets about the ability.
When needing in a tight space, will create a whisp of fire that he will then possess to fly into that space.
Cried for at least an hour whenever a Ravager died in DO2.
Freaked out when Pearl first tried to eat a red-stone torch and immediately taught her red-stone safety, as well as started using it. (Wants to be a good influence <3)
Still believes in Santa
Can play just about anything on kazoo.
Will NOT play Star Wars or Disney songs on the kazoo. ______________________________________________________________
Zedaph: Sheep hybrid.
Big Chappell Roan fan
Sunburns easily
Kicked out of a cult of lambs due to constantly calling the god they worshipped "Waiter" instead of "The one who waits".
Found Tango half frozen on a mountain. ______________________________________________________________
Impulse: Cast out from the nether realm for befriending too many humans.
Organizer of the Hermit Parent Club. Usually plans out field trips, pun offs, and when it's bring your kid to the server day.
Still has his first soup bowl of season 9.
Was standing right beside the cactus Skizz fell in when he was kicked out of heaven.
Helping Skizz out- "I'm an imp. My name's Impulse. What's your name, man?" ______________________________________________________________
Skizz: When meeting Impulse- "Mine's Skizzleman! I'm an Angel!"
Knew Impulse would be his best friend after that moment.
Can do a great Doodlebob impression
Cast out of heaven for being bad at making things. Not just alive things. All things.
The last straw for them was when he tried to make a Tasmanian devil. He did not know what a Tasmanian devil was. . . . He still does not know what a Tasmanian devil is.
When cast out was purposely thrown onto a cactus where he was found by Impulse. (They really didn't like his last creation) ______________________________________________________________
Joel: Hybrid forms- Wolf, Red Panda
Definitely NOT nervous around needles. Only babies, and Jimmy, are nervous around those.
Wears his Mazelean crown when he misses his friends in empires.
Constantly writes to Lizzie in whatever server she's on. Also keeps a small bottle of her perfume on his bedside table.
Can feel when another Life game is coming. (Sixth sense almost)
Has a dart board with Scott's face on it that he, and sometimes Pearl, use to prepare for the next games.
NOT scared of giant birds or any birds for that matter. That's for losers. And DIDN'T scream when he first saw Jimmy's canary wings. ______________________________________________________________
False: Eagle avian
Enjoys hunting rabbits/Joel in her free time.
Teases Mumbo about his crush on Hot Guy.
Has won countless rap battles
Can, in fact, smell fear ______________________________________________________________
Etho: Sings Barbie girl in the shower
Carries tools on him at all times
Keeps a Big Bro <3 bracelet from Gem in his vest pocket ______________________________________________________________
That's all for now. I have others; however, they were too long to be included in this post. I do intend to expand/story-fy a couple of these ones though, hopefully in the near future. Anyways, hope you enjoyed! <3

month five (September): early bird
Summary: Sy comes home early from tour
Warnings: none really, some tension, Sy comes back home :))
A/N: Sorry this took a while, it's exam season (again, yes I know, life as a European college student is rough) I also had some friends visit me from abroad, and well time has just been flying the fuck by so...apologies BUT wait no more, here it is :))
(this is part five to my series: A year in apartment 6B)
'H-Hello?' you picked up the call, trying to calm down your racing heart.
'Hi there,'
'Sy?!'
'That's the one.'
For some reason, it felt like you'd been caught. You swallowed thickly, prepared to give some kind of explanation as to why on earth you were wearing his boxers. And why did they have a wet patch, growing undeniably larger around your crotch?
'You there, Sugar?'
His deep voice shook you out of your initial panic and shot straight to your core. You realized then how much you had missed his voice, and as you realized that, you realized something else.
'I thought you weren't allowed to call from base?'
'Well, I'm not on base.'
'Then where the hell are you?'
You couldn't help the worry lacing around your words.
'Alright, I'm gonna need you to calm down...'
Those words did not help you calm down. In fact, they did the exact opposite.
'There was a...an incident...and,'
'Logan Henry Syverson, where THE HELL are you?!'
'Reed Army Medical Centre, DC.'
Your stomach dropped.
'M-medical Centre? Wait, did you say DC? You're in America? You're in a Medical Centre in America?'
You didn't even know what you were saying at this point. The words just flowed out of your mouth as they settled into your brain.
Medical Centre. In DC. He got sent back. He got hurt.
'I just wanted to let you know I'll be coming home early.' he said casually
'What...what happened?'
'Like I said, there was an incident at the base.'
You knew he wasn't gonna give you more than that. Not that you needed to hear the details. Besides, you don't think you could handle hearing it and you're sure Sy didn't need a replay of the events either.
'How bad are you hurt?' you asked, that's all you needed to know.
'I've been better but I've been worse.' he stated, 'Don't worry your pretty little head about me, I'm fine.'
'So how long do you have to stay there? And how long have you been there? Have you called your parents yet? Do you need me to call them? Can you have visitors, because I can-'
'Woah there, sugar. Don't forget to breathe.' He interrupted your ramble
'Sorry...' you apologized a little embarrassed, earning a small chuckle from him.
'I got out of surgery a couple hours ago. I need to stay here for a couple weeks. I called my parents before I went into surgery and my mother left a little while ago with Aika. She's gonna take care of her until I get discharged here and then she's gonna drop us off home. Oh and please don't you dare come all the way out here to DC, okay? It's not worth it I'm telling ya, sugar, I'll be home before you know it.'
Surgery???
'You brought, Aika?' you asked, deciding once again not to push it
'My leg was hanging on by a thread but I refused to get on the plane without her.' he joked
His leg. That's what he had surgery on.
You stayed quiet as you looked around the apartment, already thinking of ways to make moving around the place easier for Sy. Maybe you could move the couch a bit? Would he have crutches? or a wheelchair?
'I can hear you thinking through the phone, princess'
'hmm' you tried to play it off casually
'I'll be back soon, okay? Is the place growing mold yet?'
'Yeah, a little but don't worry it matches the burn marks in the kitchen.'
For the first time, you heard him let out a laugh. An actual, honest laugh.
You immediately wanted to hear it again.
'Alright, trouble. I gotta go, doc just walked in for a checkup. I'll see ya soon, okay?'
'Okay, call me if you need anything...'
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
As the days flew by, the nervous feeling in your stomach only grew. September had rolled around and that meant it was your fifth month of living in the apartment. The weather was getting gloomier and the days were getting shorter, it felt like time was flying faster and faster each day.
It had been a week since Sy's call. Part of you was relieved to know he was safe now, but another part was concerned.
Even though you got a text from him every day, you were none the wiser about his situation. He kept his messages short and sweet, mostly asking about you and always saying he's fine or 'doc said I'm making progress.'
Almost two weeks after his first call he called you again to tell you he needed follow-up surgery. You tried your hardest not to worry too much. Some days you didn't know what scared you more, Sy's situation or how much you cared about Sy's situation.
//
'Are you okay?!' You immediately spoke when you picked up the phone. It had been a week since Sy's follow-up surgery and you hadn't heard a single thing from him
'Hello to you too.' he spoke
'Would it have killed you to text me after surgery? I've spent an entire week planning your fucking funeral you fucking morron!'
'I'm sorry sugar, I'm fine, I promise. Ma stopped by a couple times and I slept through half the week' He assured you, 'I got some good news...I'm coming home tomorrow'
'Tomorrow?!' You thought back about the mess you dared to call your apartment.
'Yeah...is that okay?'
'O-ofcourse! Yeah, totally!'
'I gotta keep my cast on for another five weeks but aside from that I'm good to go.'
While Sy continued with his small talk you silently grabbed your calendar from your desk, marking October 23rd, the date exactly 5 weeks from now...
After work, you raced home to clean everything for the 4th time in 6 days and rearranged the furniture just to put it back where it started (twice). Christ, it felt like you were preparing for the damn pope to visit.
You even stopped by the store to buy a toy for Aika, praying to god she'd like it.
By the end of the night, you were utterly exhausted, pouring yourself a generous glass of wine to ease the nerves as you crawled on the couch, barely staying awake long enough to figure out what movie you were watching...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Sugar?'
'...hmm?' your brain slowly but surely stirred awake.
You barely got your eyes open before having to screw them shut again as a big wet nose nudged yours, warm tongue licking your cheek happily.
'Aika!' Sy growled out, trying to pull her back a little.
Sy. SY?!
Your eyes shot open again. There he was. Peering down at you. Maybe it was the sleepiness or the way he was standing there looking down at you, but fuck, he looked good. You'd think a near-death experience would take it out of you, huh?
'You're home!' you sat up quickly, the fluffy blanket dropping onto your lap.
'Morning, trouble. Why are you sleeping on the couch?' He asked 'Please don't tell me you have rats in your room or something...'
Your tired brain was starting to take in your surroundings. You felt like the human version of a Windows 8.
'I-I'm...uh...No, I was cleaning up last night and I guess I just...dozed off...' you explained 'I'm so sorry, Sy. I didn't know you'd be home this early, what time is it?'
Sy smiled down at you as Aika slowly sniffed your leg. 'Don't worry, Sugar. You didn't have to go through all that trouble, the place is damn spotless.' he complimented. 'And it's 8AM. I wasn't planning on coming this early but my Ma liked to go to the farmers market on Saturday morning, so I told her she could drop me off before she went.'
'Oh crap, your mom! She didn't see me drooling all over the couch did she?!'
And there it was again, his dashing smile.
'No don't worry, she dropped me off downstairs.'
You nodded at his words and a comfortable silence filled the room. Your eyes roamed his body again. He was wearing a shirt and some loose sweats. The pants covered his legs, but you could still tell there was a cast going from his left knee to his foot and you finally noticed he was holding a crutch.
Suddenly feeling incredibly rude and a tad embarrassed, you stood up.
'Oh shit, sorry! Sit down, please! Do you need anything?'
Sy had a stern look on his face, you thought you may have offended him in some way before you realized his gaze was aimed directly at your breasts, which you just noticed were only covered by a very thin tank top, leaving little to the imagination.
You felt your face getting red before Aika nudged her head against your hand, desperately begging for some much-needed attention.
'Hi there,' you smiled at her, petting her head 'So you're the famous Aika, huh?' you said, trying to ignore Sy's stare and the way it made you blush like a schoolgirl.
'Oh, I almost forgot! I got her something! Wait there...' you said as you quickly ran off to grab the toy you bought her from your room.
When you got back, Aika immediately took the toy from you, trotting around the couch with pride.
'Thanks, you really shouldn't have,' Sy said with a warm smile
You felt a sudden urge to wrap your arms around him. You wanted to hold him, tell him he was safe now, and say you'd care for him.
Part of you had hoped your slightly inappropriate thoughts about Sy would come to an end once he got home. But seeing him stand right in front of you had your mind clouding with snippets from your dreams all over again.
'I wanted to make her feel at home,' you said, 'Like you did when I first moved in.'
You kept your voice quiet, afraid he'd hear the tremble in it if you spoke any louder.
'Well, I hardly did anything special.' Sy stated, moving a bit closer to you 'And I definitely didn't buy you any toys...'
You snorted at that.
'Well, maybe that's something you should consider then.' you teased, taking couple steps back, 'I'm gonna go take a shower, I'll make some breakfast when I'm out, sound good?'
'Sounds perfect, Sugar.'
And just like that, Sy was home.

What would jally do in the long-term considering it’s the 60s? (If they lived ofcofc)
jeanie you are feeding my soul with these questions <3
So! I think the answer to this changes slightly depending on how they lived. also, I had fun doing some historical research for this ask, haha, so the sources will be linked as they come up.
1. Its a "The Outsiders didn't happen and everything continued as normal" AU
- They either are already together or get together soon
- They'd take coupley photos in a photobooth since it was one of the only ways they could be coupley in public
- Since they're both poor and basically homeless, I think it would make sense for them to move into a shitty apartment together once they either finish high school or drop out. No one would really question this when they're young either.
Also, greasers, the Curtis gang especially, are generally more affectionate with each other than the stereotypical macho man of that time. especially with how queer cowboys were historically, and how much the greasers love (the idea of) cowboys, I think johnny and dally would be able to sit together or have an arm over a shoulder at the drive-in and people wouldn't really bat an eye.
- However, I think there's value to put on like... Being closeted intentionally. I know Dally hates cheating and loyalty is a big thing for him, but that also includes bending the rules for the people he's most loyal too. I think he'd still hit on girls or kiss them/have brief flings, but not commit to them because, of course, he's going home to Johnny. He would "give up on women" in his mid-20s, although like... just look at him, a guy with a criminal record as long as his arm, who has a bad misogynist streak and prison tats? Yeah, people aren't really surprised he never gets (legally) married.
Johnny though... A sensitive, thoughtful guy who's never really angry at anyone? But still rough enough to be considered a bit of a "bad boy"? Oh the girls would be swarming him in their 20s and 30s, especially if he goes to visit Ponyboy at college ever. Johnny would be a heartbreaker.
- on that note, johnny is someone who, to me, reads as Gay, unlike dally who can fly under the radar, and this makes him a bit of a target. Tim or maybe Bryon has probably heckled him over it a few times. Johnny has a mouth on him when he needs to, and he is a greaser after all so it's never too bad. but there are definitely some incidents where he gets questioned or beat up over it (though it's not really any worse than a typical Soc beating, so...). but this provides another argument for them being closeted.
- I don't think Tulsa had much of a gay community, no gay bars, just individual people more or less. But they'd still be close with the gang so it wouldn't matter as much.
- Speaking of the gang, their relationship would eventually become something of an open secret. I think Two would figure something out, probably around when Dally "gives up on women" and maybe he talk to Darry about it ('cause god knows Darry needed someone to talk to about Ponyboy and his... softness, whether Pony winds up gay or not.). I think it would be funny if Soda remained an oblivious straight guy about it until Darry has to pull him aside to say something.
- They wouldn't really be affected by AIDS in the 80s. Like, they'd hear about it and it'd be upsetting to them, but not personally affected - they're not hooking up with anyone else by that point, they don't know many other gay people... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
2. Its a "The Outsiders still happened they just didn't die at the end" AU
- a lot of similarities, but Johnny is paralyzed and a wheelchair user by the end. This would change their dynamic a bit, maybe delay them getting together for real because Johnny now has to deal with this enormous change and it's emotional repercussions first.
- that said, i actually think this would make their relationship stronger because they'd have to navigate this change together and dally would have to learn how to be patient with johnny to a degree he never was before, which would make or break any relationship. (in thsi case, makes it.)
- also, people would question their relationship less because of course poor "wheelchair bound" johnny would need a caretaker (heavy sarcasm here is intended). that said "caretaker" the toughest hood on the block is well... he's like johnny's guard dog, right?
- dally would have the same kinda job regardless of the timeline - janitor, line cook, autoshop, that sort of thing. but in the disabled!au timeline i think he'd have chronic pain from getting shot but not dying. since hes now unable to run from the cops, he'd have to find something else to do with his time, ie finishing high school and/or getting a job. they gotta make rent somehow! especially if johnny struggles to find work or go to school.
- finally, i think nondisabled!johnny would be an EMT or firefighter or something else emergency-related, but that's not an option for disabled!johnny so he'd be a teacher or guidance counselor or therapist. (he'd work a lot with war vets i think and be able to connect with them on a way other (female) therapists couldnt). in the meantime if he can get a job he'd work odd jobs as a cashier, cleaner, retail.
anyway! hahah there's your essay and history lesson for the day! thank you again for the ask!!

This comes with spoilers for Criminal Case: The Conspiracy
(mainly after case 60. Also a TW for medical talk and a lot of injuries and scarring burns.)
So I finally decided to put together an Injury Chart for Jones for what happens in Blaze of Glory. Because I am so damn sure that he didn't just walk away with the repercussions that he got. It must have been way more and I am here to give it.
With that said, this is my personal interpretation of the situation, and screw canon!
Here, the full body picture
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7985ebf551d95824fd7a6641c5b438a4/4d5b93c8678c5440-2e/s540x810/d9f93cf883a42ac578723becf2c3b97d2ddcb399.jpg)
And now, some headcanons where I'll explain my position on this situation!
He didn't wake up that same night when he was admitted. There is a possible reason he could have been woken up and it was because of evacuation, but they didn't do it in the end. Maybe they kept him semiconscious to not risk a lot of brain damage since the injuries are bad. I supposed that he was put back to sleep for the next 3 or so days completely and maybe a bit more. He woke up after 5 days or a week. He still gets brain damaged (ill explain more down)
Speaking of injuries, the burns took almost 60-70% of his body, especially on the front side and the face. The face burns were from 2nd to 3rd, as well as the torso and up side of the legs and mainly the right arm. The left arm and downside on the legs were second degrees mostly. That's why he was in a lot of pain as said by Cathy.
Also, he had to undergo a lot of surgeries. Not only to amputate his eye but also a brain/skull surgery had to be gone because he hit his skull BADLY on some rocky furniture, since the blast sent him flying away. Other surgeries were made around the broken bones, essentially on ribs, arms, and legs. Luckily none of the vertebral bones were cracked, so it means that he can walk.
The surgeon also put him some skin graphs at the most injured parts and that procedure lasted for some months.
Another surgery that was done on him (as you can see in the picture) was a hair transplant.
Around the brain damage side of things, the blast caused him to have some alteration in his cognition. Not completely severe to the point that he to be dependent forever, but some sensation weakness, as well as mobility and mainly voluntary movement, which is what causes his prolonged paralysis mainly on his right side. He found it difficult to manipulate object with hsi right hand and to stand for a big amount of time, another reason of why he uses the cane. Additionally, he experienced speech and concentration difficulties.
What Gabriel informed Cathy was true. The surgeon and the staff who took his case had no idea if he was going to make it through the night. In fact, this was because, when they were operating on him, his vitals were fluctuaring a lot. He flat-lined once, and while he recovered quickly from that one, it was a sign that he was a delicate patient. Also, they were in the middle of the neohuman rampage, so there was even more of a risk. The staff sighed of relief when they saw Jones' brain activity actually responding to stimuli after a few days.
Around the topic of walking, due to the blast, he pretty much wasn't able to walk properly anymore. Not only because of the muscle weakness that this caused, but also because the waist bones had a hit too, and walking for big amounts of time causes some pain at first. He was in a way unable to move, on a wheelchair for the first 6 months. He is going to Physical and Occupational Therapy daily to go up some stairs. He was probably able to walk with a roller a few days after the 6 months, only in days when he felt confident. He started to use a cane after a year or so. He permanently uses it.
In fact, I am not sure if he actually made it to the memorial. He either woke up when the memorial was happening or he wasn't allowed to go due for the risk. If he went however, he was extremely supervised. As soon as it was over (or even before that), he was back at the hospital. He did go to Amir and Jasper's wedding 5 months later though, still in a wheelchair to not cause an accident.
Other injuries from the blast also include injuries on the eardrums, which caused audition alterations. He has now moderate to severe deafness on his right side and mild to moderate deafness on his left. He does use hearing aids (sometimes he forgets to take them out in his sleep).
Also, around his still functioning eye, while it's not damaged completely, he has problems with vision perception, making the walking part even more difficult. Actually, all of the tasks he does are difficult because of that at first.
Around the mental health side of things, during the rehabilitation process, his emotions were swinging around. He needed... A LOT OF HELP ON THAT. He was lucky that there was a therapist who decided to take his case and was able to receive all the punches and breakdowns.
There were a lot of nightmares. And I'm telling you. A lot. Of them. He would wake up in sweat and major pain. They became easier to handle with time.
The first time he saw himself in the mirror was... an experience to say the least. He saw himself and cried a lot, to the point that he had to be comforted for a few minutes. It took him a while to adjust. He knew it was his face, but he hated it a lot at first.
Before seeing his face, the visits were very secluded to best fiends and family members. Since his coworkers at the precint were his "family" he would allow their visits. After seeing his face, the visits were reducing by his own command. He was ashamed of himself for a bit.
Still, the team was eager to make him company. Despite him sometimes rejecting the visitations, when he accepted them, he found that it was a nice time. Their reassurance and news about the outside world would motivate him to recover so he could feel it himself.
Another thing that motivated him (or better off, someone) was Zoe. When he was able to move his hands and handle things for a while, he would read almost daily the letter he received back when he was hospitalized from his attempt. It gave him a boost, thinking that she would like for him to still try. It's a good pick me up. (If he couldn't he would ask someone to read it from her. Aside from other letters the team found in the meantime.)
But his big breakthrough was a bit later. He originally was going to have an eye prosthetic, and he was so sure of it... until he got a visitation from his sibling's family, where his nephew told him that he looked like a pirate with the eyepatch. He liked the idea of being something not as scary as he thought. And he, while the eye prosthetic was tempting, he denied it for the moment.
That gesture gave him a complete change of perspective to a more positive one, and the rehabilitation process was actually working even better. He was a pirate in that kid's eyes. So he may just commit to the bit.
After being discharged, he lived in various houses with Astrid to avoid being alone, until he could back on his feet. Sometimes he stayed at Gabriel's, other times at Ramirez's, Parker's, and occasionally at Player's house. During the first few months after his discharge however, he mainly stayed at Ramirez's house, where he and his family had a spacious room prepared for him with a great view.
Since he was on a medical leave for months, he took other activities that caught his eye (not pun intended) and his body would allow. He actually retook his reading hobby from it.
He actually took care of himself. He still attended the therapy sessions, he even went to a support group dedicated to survivors of deadly situations. He met a lot of people and he didn't feel lonely. And saw that there was more life than his job.
At first, he was so eager to come back to work and be useful and worth it. After rehabilitation and the support groups, he started to doubt, until he finally decided that he deserved a more calm life. And with that, he retired. He doesn't regret it. He keeps contact with the rest of the precinct. He still attends to their birthdays.
And he's happy. After all, limping sometimes, and even with some nightmares, he was overall, happy.
And there you have it! Screw canon my boy is disabled!

loved reading ur tom king tea so how abt ☕️ tom taylor
I think this post I reblogged a little while back said it really well, especially "He writes comics to go viral on Twitter."
My main problem with Taylor is that his writing is fluff with absolutely zero substance, and I feel like this has two major consequences. First, there's this weird disconnect between stakes, competence, and victory. All of his heroes are wildly incompetent, so he sets up these huge stakes and then has them resolved by other people, or dumb luck, or just...pretending the stakes don't exist? So now not only are the heroes incompetent, the story is unsatisfying because the victory doesn't feel earned - because his goal is a cutesy viral moment that gets passed around the internet out of context, not satisfying storytelling.
For a small example of this, there's that scene where Clark needs Bruce and Dick to help him find Jon, who is learning how to fly. I repeat: Clark, who has super speed, flight, X-ray and telescopic vision, AND CAN HEAR HIS LOVED ONES' HEARTBEATS, needs two regular fucking guys to somehow detective out the location of his own child. Clark is nerfed just to get a cute moment of Dick giving Jon a lollipop - and Taylor absolutely got what he wanted out of that, because those pages did go viral, no matter how little sense they made.
For a bigger example, there's the climax of the Blockbuster storyline in Nightwing, where Blockbuster discovers Dick's identity and Dick realizes that his entire life is about to be destroyed...and then someone else kills Blockbuster and solves Dick's problem for him, and he literally never thinks about it again. This is our hero triumphant? This is NOTHING! I literally stared at that comic with my mouth open. For real? For real for real???
You see this over and over again. In the most recent issue of Titans, it's revealed that Dick basically hypnotized himself into having a secret part of his brain he can only access via a code word because somehow that prevents Raven (a telepath) from reading his mind (why? UNCLEAR). He is explicitly inspired by what Bruce did with his Zur-en-Arrh personality. You know, the one who has been the main villain in Batman for over a year? Who has taken over Gotham and driven Bruce into hiding? Who will be a key factor in the upcoming Absolute Power event? That guy?
But it's okay that Dick did the exact same wildly unsafe thing, because Dick says in the comic "this will be fine" so it'll be fine. Why? He said so! It'll be fine!
Obviously most of the time superheroes do defeat the bad guy and it is fine (and even when it isn't, they come back to life), but in order for a story to have impact, we have to believe in the stakes. The hero needs to make an effort. There need to be consequences. Taylor's writing is devoid of all of that. When he gets to issue #6 of a given storyline, everything is just magically resolved. It makes his characters feel shallow and incompetent, and his stories feel meaningless.
More importantly, his politics are as shallow as his plotting. He injects liberal themes into his writing, but things are just magically resolved, and no one ever has to make a hard choice. Jon Kent occasionally scolds a mean person and then flies off to hold hands with his cardboard cutout of a boyfriend, and Taylor pats himself on the back for being History's Greatest Ally.
Meanwhile, he does absolutely nothing to support real people with marginalized identities. When Chuck Dixon when on a twitter spree sharing a homophobic photoshopped panel of Dick and Jon, Taylor was like "Oh that's actually photoshopped, but I love your work!" and then spent several tweets kissing Dixon's ass. Sucking up to a homophobe was more important to him than actually standing up for queer people, or even just...not saying anything. (Not saying anything is free!)
Now don't get me wrong, Taylor's mentions are deranged and people need to leave him alone about Babs not being in a wheelchair because it's obviously not up to him. But the way he acts like he is the world's greatest martyr to The Cause because of his milquetoast comics when over and over again he fails to support real, living people drives me nuts. (There are other examples, but I don't have the strength to unpack the Ed Piskor stuff right now.)
In conclusion: his writing is shallow, his politics are shallow, and I'm tired.

*wheelchair annon rolls in*
Does Leo ever have successive days of being able to do things he hasn't for a while, of feeling better and more capable and more HIMSELF, only to have it all seemingly snatched away by the successive BAD days that follow like dark clouds, snatching away his autonomy and his thinking and his capability and his good mood like its all a big joke? How does he deal with it? (Overdoing it on good days very often leads to this, for me. It does get easier to deal with with time, but it doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.) (Sorry about the gloomy question. I was going to ask something else but I have been fighting a migraine all day... you can probably guess why lol.) *wheelchair annon rolls out*
Hi wheelchair anon! I'm so sorry to hear about your migraine :( I hope you're feeling better by the time you read this!
I've actually been thinking a lot about Leo's good days vs the bad ones since the last time you sent an ask so this is good timing haha. For this ask everything I'm going to talk about is after Leo has recovered (as much as he's going to) and gotten his powers back - obviously things are a lot more shaky earlier on in his journey.
Even on good days Leo can't really get around like he did before (he's not going to be jumping across rooftops or trying the 1440 off the halfpipe), but he can walk around pretty good for basic daily life stuff around the lair and even do a few of the physical things he used to, like shooting hoops or riding on his skateboard (though, he doesn't do tricks, and they make him wear a helmet and knee/elbow pads because they don't want to risk him breaking anything). I was talking on discord too about how Leo gets into gliding around after his brothers to film them doing tricks, then he and Mikey edit the footage with old 90s skateboard video aesthetics. And while he doesn't go on patrol with his brothers (monitoring them from his command center instead), he joins them on planned missions or can portal in to join them in a fight (though he still mostly runs support and doesn't often trade direct blows with anyone). It helps that Donnie can make temporary construct versions of virtually any of his mobility aids on the fly if Leo joins them on a mission and ends up needing something immediately that he didn't or couldn't bring with him (Leo complains about the purple every time, it's a running gag).
So yeah, on good days Leo usually feels pretty great, and much more like himself, and it definitely improves his mood every time! But that also means when he gets a good day, especially early on, he wants to go go go and do do do, enjoy all the things he doesn't have the energy for or is in too much pain to do on his bad days. And this definitely means he overdoes it, especially in the beginning. But even when he's careful, bad days still hit him and it sucks every time.
On Leo's bad days he usually sticks with his wheelchair even in the lair, sometimes using his walker instead. He also makes liberal use of his portals if he's really feeling drained. How much he can do depends on the day, and usually how much he did the day before.
On his very worst days, especially ones coming after a string of good days where he got to do a lot, Leo can get really depressed and not even want to get out of bed. Usually his family at least encourages him to get up, take a shower, brush his teeth, sit with them, do things other than lay in his bed because they know it will make him feel better, even if he doesn't really want to do it. But then there are days he doesn't even get that far. Days like that make him pretty miserable. It feels like his body betrayed him all over again, and is a reminder that the rest of his life is going to be up and down like this. And he hates how much help he needs on days like that, especially coming off days where he doesn't really need help much at all. He has to start asking for it again and it embarrasses him.
He'll learn to deal with it in more mentally healthy ways over time as he gains better coping mechanisms; he'll never be fully okay with it, like you said it will always hurt, but over time not all his bad days come with a complete mental health nosedive. He has days where he feels bad physically but is still able to enjoy the company of his family and friends or enjoy some Lou Jitsu movies or what have you. He's always annoyed that he can't fully predict how he's going to feel in advance, even as he gets older and more experienced, but over time he'll have fewer "fully depressed laying in bed" days (though still some of those, and some "physically too pained to move" days as well).
And of course no matter how he's feeling on any given day, his family is always sure to remind him that they love him no matter what. <3
Like I said, I hope you feel better when you read this, anon. Thanks as always for the ask! I hope I answered it alright.

Wait a second what are we doing with Lu Ten in Miraculous Gaang?
Is he alive? I know he got like really sick at one point, but are we letting him live? If so, how old is he and what is his relationship to the Gaang? Because I imagine him being quite a bit older and seeing the Gaang as his much younger siblings that he has to mentor. He's probably away at university during most of the events of this, but Zuko and Azula call him in to save their hides for some of their civilian problems. Assuming he's alive
And how did he get sick? Did he like use the peacock or did he just get really ill and it woke Iroh up to the fact that he was being kind of a neglectful parent?
Also, other named kids you can use for miraculous if you want:
Song, the chick that saved Iroh from poisoning, tried to bond with Zuko over being hurt by the fire nation, and then he stole her ostrich horse
June, but she's probably a bit older than the rest of the crowd, maybe even Lu Ten's age.
On Ji, the girl that Aang talks to when he goes to Fire Nation school and consequently gets into a fight with her boyfriend Hide.
Shoji, another kid from the fire nation school, very nervous type.
Chan, the guy that Azula tries to flirt with in The Beach, and then they burn his house down.
Meng, Aunt Wu's assistant who keeps trying to flirt with Aang in The Fortuneteller, and who gets utterly blown off, only to eventually tell Aang at the end of the episode that Katara is really pretty and they deserve each other, and also gives them the cloud-reading book for their plot (because she's been stalking Aang, and HEY that's on brand for ML).
Of this selection, the only ones I have any particular attachments to are Meng and Song. I think I'd give Meng the goat if we keep your usual Dreamwalking powers, due to her fortune teller associations. Song could honestly have any of them, but I'm leaning Dog. But yeah, it's interesting that most of the Gaang's allies seem to be adults. Between the white lotus, various world leaders, and assorted other Randos, the significant adults in this show probably outnumber the significant children.
Yes! So!
We decided that since this is taking place in a Miraculous-esque Universe, a chunk of people get to live. Like, there's no war fucking up the world and we're axing the Bending (like if they had Bending on top of the Miraculous then OOF.) and also this is a modern world with better healthcare capabilities.
So yeah some people live. Lu Ten was never on the frontlines of a war. Kya never had to protect Katara from raiders looking for a Waterbender. Yue won't have to sacrifice herself to save the Moon Spirit, etc.
Not to say everything's perfect because there's going to be injuries and close calls and some of these fuckers can get killed off.
So since I can change things and let characters live, I am!
Anyway. Lu Ten!
So we're going with some kind of car accident type deal for him. He was in a coma for a few months. (During this we had the drama of Iroh falling apart with worry, Azulon 'dying', Ozai taking over the family company, and Ursa disappearing).
He's alive but has some medical problems. Mostly mobility issues. Usually in a wheelchair, though he can use a cane for short distances if needed. His hands are bad too, but he can still get stuff done.
He's a good decade older than the Gaang. Like in his mid-to-late 20s.
Between the age and mobility thing he's probably not getting a Miraculous himself (I mean the mobility isn't stopping Teo but he's the 'I'm gonna use the Miraculous Transformation to give my wheelchair jet rockets and fly' type of guy).
He's very much the older brother figure! Especially once Zuko gets kicked out.
As for the other character suggestions!
June is too old for the group, as much as I love her. Ji, Shoji and Chan never vibed with me. Song vibed with me more but we're also getting to the 'wow huh there's not a lot of kid characters that consistently appear huh?'.
Meng is actually a great idea and I love the Dreamwalker thing I'm keeping that.

Free Now LN4 (Part 12)
By the time Lando was due to leave for the next few races, Lottie was starting to look a bit better, physically at least. Mentally, he was starting to wonder if she'd ever be the same again.
The weeks that had passed since he'd flown back from China to see her had been filled with what felt like a never ending stream of complications, and had taken its toll on him, so he couldn't even begin to imagine how Lottie was feeling. The countless days and nights he'd spent by her bedside, the hours of stressful waiting as she'd undergone hours of surgery to try and remedy the problem. He couldn't remember the last time he'd got so little sleep.
While the doctors seemed happy that they'd finally got on top of the infection and things were moving in the right direction, Lottie had seemed to be withdrawing more and more with every passing day.
He'd stayed at his parents house, wanting to be close by, and visited almost every day. But by the time it was the day he had to leave, the way she'd been quietly withdrawing from everyone had reached the point that she'd barely said a word to him when he went to say goodbye.
She'd just shifted to one side, making room for him in the bed, so that he could lay down beside her the way he always did. Her head had fallen into its spot on his chest, her fingers twisting into the material of his hoodie as he wrapped her arms around her. The way she was clinging on to him like a lifeline was the only real indication that she'd actually heard him when he'd told her that he was going to the airport that evening.
He'd rambled on about nothing, just trying to fill the silence. She never told him to shut up, but she didn't ever acknowledge that she was really listening to what he was saying either. It didn't matter, he supposed, it made him better to fill the silence, and he just hoped that perhaps it would take her mind off things even if only for a short time.
"Lando?" She asked quietly, and he almost jumped from the surprise that she was actually talking given she'd barely said a word all week.
"Yeah?" He asked nervously, mind already spinning with the possibilities of what she might be about to say.
She was quiet for a minute, and he would've sworn he could hear her thinking, before she spoke again. "Before you go, do you think maybe you can take me outside for five minutes to get some fresh air?" She asked quietly.
"I don't know if that's the best idea?" He answered uncertainly. "It's cold out there, you're only now starting to look a bit better. I don't want you to push yourself too far and end up regretting it."
"Please?" She asked again, voice wavering in a way that broke his heart and made all sense of reason fly out of the window. She was definitely his Achilles heel, how was he ever supposed to say no to her?
"I'll go and ask the nurse." He said quietly, already climbing out of the bed. He was quietly hopeful that the nurse might say no and then he wouldn't be the one being the bad guy.
So he made his way out of the room and over to the nurses station, the layout of the ward now incredibly familiar and almost like a second home he had spent so much time there. As he approached the desk the nurse looked up at him with a smile. "Is everything okay?" She asked.
Lando nodded. "Lottie was just wondering if I might be able to take her outside to get some fresh air for a bit? I know it's probably not a good idea but she really wants to and... I just said I'd ask."
"It's fine." The nurse smiled. "I think it would do her good. She's been cooped up in that room all on her own for such a long time. I'll grab a wheelchair and come and help her get out of bed. Just be sensible, don't go too far. Okay?"
"Okay." Lando agreed nervously. "Thank you."
He turned to go back into Lottie's room, and for a minute he thought perhaps she'd fallen asleep from the way her head lolled back against the pillows, but at the sound of the door opening she opened her eyes.
"You're in luck." He told her. "The nurse has just gone to find a wheelchair and then I'm all clear to break you out of here for a bit."
"Thank you." Lottie said quietly.
"Have you got a jumper or something?" Lando asked, rummaging through the ever growing pile of her clothes that had amassed in the corner of the room.
"I think Flo took it home to wash. I'll be fine, I'll get a blanket or something." Lottie mumbled, struggling to push herself up so she was sitting properly.
"Here." Lando was already stripping out of his own hoodie. "You put this on, I've got a coat I can wear."
"It's fine." She protested.
"Put it on or I'm not taking you out there." He told her firmly.
"I'll have to wait for the nurse." She pointed out, gesturing to the tubes still attached to the back of her hand. "But thank you."
The door to the room swung open, the same nurse that Lando had spoken to appearing with a wheelchair and a couple of blankets. "Alright then, let's get you out of that bed and out in the fresh air shall we!"
Lando stood awkwardly in the corner of the room, not knowing if he should try and help or if he was just going to be getting in the way, watching as the nurse lowered the bed and went about helping Lottie sit herself up, legs dangling off the bed.
"You just stay there a minute. Tell me if you feel dizzy, okay?" She said and Lottie nodded weakly, eyes squeezed tightly closed, but held her hand out as the nurse quietly worked to disconnect the drip from her hand. "Okay, are we putting this on to keep you warm?" She asked, picking Lando's jumper up from where it was laying on the bed.
"Please." Lottie said quietly, holding back a groan of pain as she manoeuvred her arms into the sleeves. The hoodie was enormous, it would've been big on her before she'd spent months in hospital and lost loads of weight, but now it practically drowned her. It was warm though, and the way it smelled of Lando was beyond comforting. She wondered for a moment if perhaps she'd get away with stealing it from him.
It was slow and painful progress to get her out of the hospital bed and into the wheelchair, and a clear indication for Lando as to why as much as she wanted to she wasn't ready to go home with Flo yet. He watched the little bit of colour in her cheeks drain from her face as she leaned her body weight against the nurse, unable to hold back the grimace of pain as she took a couple of tiny steps before collapsing down into the chair.
"There we are, well done you!" The nurse praised, helping her get comfortable before she turned to Lando. "Don't be gone too long, okay? She needs to get some rest."
"We won't be long, I promise." Lando nodded in agreement. "Thank you."
"If you go out of here, turn left and go down in the lift to the ground floor there's a little garden bit out there. It's nice." The nurse smiled, draping a blanket over Lottie's lap before she headed out of the door.
"Alright then." Lando took hold of the wheelchair handles. "Let's go see if we can find this garden then!"
They made slow progress out in to the hallway to find the lift, not aided by the fact that try as he might, Lando didn't seem to be able to get the wheels on the wheelchair to cooperate and all have going in the right direction at the same time.
"I thought you'd be better at driving this all things considered." Lottie commented as they finally made it into the lift. The faint trace of a smile on her lips was a very welcome sight to him, the fact she was taking the piss out of him again an indication that perhaps she was still in there somewhere.
"This might be the hardest thing I've ever had to drive." He laughed. "I don't understand how all the wheels seem to manage to go in a different direction all at the same time." He frowned again as he tried to get the chair to cooperate to get it lined up ready to get out of the lift.
"Thanks for doing this." She said quietly, their eyes meeting in the mirror in the lift for a second. "Thanks for being here."
"Any time." He said softly, placing a hand on her shoulder for a second. She lifted her hand up, fingers grasping his for a moment. Then the doors to the lift opened, the quiet ding announcing that they had arrived on their floor and he slowly wheeled her out, grumbling under his breath every few seconds as the wheelchair tried to go in an completely different direction to the way he'd intended.
He managed to navigate his way out to the small garden area the nurse had mentioned relatively easily. He'd go as far as to say that after all the time he'd spent there as of late, he could probably make his way through that hospital blindfolded and still end up in the right place. He'd also got very good at sneaking through with his hood covering his face and using back entrances after a few pictures of him had been posted online and the speculation about what he was doing spending all that time at the hospital had begun.
"How does it feel to be outside?" He asked, breaking the silence as he sat on the bench beside her. The two of them were overlooking the small pond in the garden, Lottie staring off into space, seemingly lost in thought.
"It's nice." She hummed. "That room is starting to feel like a prison cell. This is the first time in a month I've actually been outside."
Lando opened his mouth to argue with her, tell her that couldn't possibly be right, but he quickly realised she was telling the truth. It really had been that long since she'd come in for her original surgery. The time had flown by for him, but he could only imagine it had felt like an eternity for her.
"I'd say we'll do it again when I get back, but you'll be back home with Flo by then." He said confidently. After all, it was a triple header that he was flying off to start. It would be nearly a month before he made it back, surely she had to be on the road to being home by then.
"I hope so." Lottie agreed quietly. She pulled his hoodie further up around her face, tucking her hands into the sleeves as a shiver caught her by surprise. The air considerably colder outside than it had been on the stuffy hospital ward she had grown used to.
"I think we'd better get you back inside." Lando said as he watched her with a frown, already halfway out of his seat.
"Five more minutes, please?" She turned to look at him and gave him a pleading look.
"Alright." He agreed, because he never could say no to her when she gave him that look. "But if you're getting too cold then you tell me, okay?"
"Okay." She agreed. "What time is your flight?"
The sudden reminder that he really did have to leave, that there was a plane waiting to take him back to real life, was far from welcome. He lifted his wrist to glance at his watch, stomach lurching as he realised that the time was rapidly approaching. "I've got time." He reassured her. "I don't need to be at the airport for a few hours yet. I'm going straight there from here. Plenty of time to sit here with you for another five minutes."
"I don't want to make you late." She said quietly, although if she was being honest she would've been quite happy if he missed his flight and said stayed there with her. The daily visits from Lando were about the only thing she had to look forward to. He always seemed to understand, particularly when she was so tired or fed up that she simply didn't feel like talking. He'd just crawl into bed with her and hold her while the two of them stared at the tv, rambling on about whatever he'd been up to that day in a way that was so comforting. She couldn't imagine how she was going to now get through a month without him.
"I'd be quite happy not to go, trust me." He sighed. He wasn't feeling particularly enthralled by the idea of three back to back weekends of racing. It wasn't even the physical exhaustion of it, although it was difficult, it was just so mentally taxing trying to keep himself focused and on his a game with so little time in between. If he had a bad result in the first one, then the second race would be upon him before he'd even had a chance to get straight in his head what had happened the previous week.
"You can do it." Lottie said, reaching out to place her hand on his arm. "You know you can do it. I'll be here, watching, cheering you on."
"Yeah, we'll see." Lando waved a hand dismissively. The time he'd spent at MTC during the week and on the sim wasn't exactly filling him with confidence. He wasn't doing badly per se, it was all just very average... certainly not anything to write home about or suggest that perhaps this year might be his year, no matter how many times everyone seemed to keep saying it to him.
"You'll do it. I'm sure you will."
"And you'll be back home with Flo by the time I get back." He smiled, placing a hand over hers that was still on his arm. "Okay, you're freezing. We need to get you back inside."
"I'm fine." She protested, but the chattering of her teeth gave her away.
"You're a terrible liar." He sighed, getting up and taking the brakes off the wheelchair so they could head back inside and get her warm.
"Do you think you can make it back without crashing me into a wall?" She joked.
"I'll do my best." He laughed.
"That's all anyone can ask." She said softly. "I'll miss you."
"I'll call you, as soon as I land." He reassured her. "It'll be better, you can hang up on me when I'm rambling on if I'm on the phone. I'm not so easy to get rid of in person."
"I don't want to get rid of you." She shook her head. "I think you might be the only thing that's kept me sane. Who else is going to visit me, bring real food and news from the outside world?"
"I won't tell Flo you said that." Lando laughed. "I'm in her bad books as it is."
"What did you do now?" Lottie asked curiously as he wheeled her back into the lift. For all the pointless stories he'd told her as he'd rambled on over the last few weeks, he'd apparently left this one out.
"Ah don't worry about it, stupid sibling stuff." Lando dismissed the question. "You know what she's like, she'll come around. Mum was going to tell her to get a grip."
"Your poor sister." Lottie laughed.
"Poor Flo nothing. She's a never ending pain in the ass." Lando shook his head. "She'll look after you while I'm gone though, I made her promise to come and bring you real food. We can't have you wasting away while I'm gone."
"Do you really have to go?" Lottie asked quietly as he wheeled her back into the hospital room.
"Unfortunately." He sighed, crouching down in front of her as she sat in the wheelchair, hands resting gently on her knees to steady himself.
"I wish I was coming with you." She said quietly.
"Me too." He agreed. "But you just concentrate on getting better, and as soon as you're feeling up to it you can come anywhere you want."
"Okay." Lottie nodded quietly. "Can you give me a hand to get back into bed before you go jetting off?"
"Maybe we should wait for the nurse?" Lando suggested. "I don't want to drop you and make it all worse."
"You'll be fine, come on. Please?" She asked. "Then I can give you your hoodie back."
"You can keep it." Lando told her. "But I'll help you anyway, let me just put the brakes on this thing so you don't roll away."
He stood up and quickly put the brakes on the wheelchair before returning to stand in front of her, gently helping her get her feet off the foot rests. "Okay, I'm ready." She said quietly, gripping onto his arms as she slowly stood up, leaning most of her weight against him.
"Alright, nice and slow." He reassured her as she took a couple of awkward shuffling steps forward, wincing as she put some weight on her injured leg. "Nearly there."
"Thank god." She exhaled as she sat down heavily on the bed, hands still tightly gripping Lando's forearms.
"Are you alright?" Lando asked, bending down so he was crouched in front of her again.
"Yeah." She nodded. "Just tired."
"Let's get you back into bed properly and you can get some rest." He suggested, gently scooping her legs up and helping her turn to lay down properly.
"Thank you." She mumbled, already struggling to keep her eyes open as the fatigue caught up with her.
"Get some rest." He said softly, brushing her hair back off her face. "I'll call you when I land."
"Okay." She yawned, eyes already closed.
He lingered for a second as her breathing slowly evened out as she fell asleep, then, he placed a quick kiss on her forehead. With one last look back he grabbed his bag and headed out of the door to go to the airport and catch his flight.

Twst Idea 2
Okay, I was thinking, like, a disabled character in Night Raven College. At first, I was thinking it would be awful, but considering the student mentality here, I think it wouldn't be all that bad.
Honestly, I think Savanaclaw would be the worst. Most are all about picking on the outcast, having a herd mentality, and they're feral there, for whatever reason? I don't know.
Heartslabuyl has so many evil trouble-making cowards though. Ace would absolutely use it against you. The rules might say something about having to eat with your foot or something on Fridays. 💀
Pomefiore would probably be a safe spot. The way Vil personalizes routines would be normal. You aren't getting out of cleaning the damned windows; you're not helpless. You're just another student.
Holy snickerdoodles, you would be such a target of Azuls. The non stop 'I can fix it for a price' shit. You're just vibing and he's trying to entice you into deals you're not interested in making.
Ignihyde would be good, actually. Kids there are more reserved, but technologically based. They might find a way to create a solid prosthetic/way to move freely. Like, if you were in a wheelchair, they could give you some kind of chip so you can run in an emergency. Maybe a wheelchair that could fly. That would be awesome! Love the concept of Ignihyde for a geek disabled student.
Disomnia wouldn't be a problem at all. Everyone's kinda doing their own thing. Except Sebek. He's only on Malleus's case. *sigh*
Scarabia would be just like Disomnia. Kalim would be the main issue, always trying to 'fix' it, probably. I can see it crystal clear. Would easily be told to shut up though.
Honestly, Scarabia and Disomnia seem like real chill dorms under normal circumstances. Pomefiore and Ignihyde seems chill total. Thoughts? I may be wrong here, but this is just how I'm imagining it.

I saw this post about crazy museum stories, and I see lots of retail stories, but I don’t see a lot of airport stories….
So here are some of my craziest stories from working at an airport.
Airport behind the scenes:
• The random passenger who told me to get off the carousel (I was fixing it) then absolutely couldn’t believe I was a female and a mechanic. Then he proceeded to insinuate my military rank before getting out meant I messed up (AF just ranks slower, we had a bit of a bottleneck problem when I was in). He then suggested my supervisor didn’t know how to do his job well and could “just take us all under his wing”. All of this before asking for a job…..
• The passenger who insisted I check him in for his flight that left 2 hrs ago, when I was fixing the ticket counter conveyor belt, all the lights were off and I was literally black up to my elbows in grease….
• The woman who rode up and down the glass elevator in ticketing, lifting her skirt repeatedly, until the sheriffs had to come get her. Bonus points: it was only around noon, and no she wasn’t flying anywhere.
• The woman who got demanded she get on a plane at 11 pm, when flights are no longer going out, with no ID or money, to a city that was literally a 45 min drive away, with no airport. She proceeded to stop pick up traffic with an airport use wheelchair.
• A man who went through an armed door to the ramp, took all of his clothes of and sat there (that one made news).
• A woman who decided to take off all of her clothes and run around the main part of the airport. A sheriff and 2 cleaners had to catch her, she ran through the parking structure at 1am, in January in the northern Midwest.
• The absolutely insane contract manager that almost got sued by Southwest Airlines for wearing disguises and hiding to catch their ticket counter agents putting begs on the belt wrong (they weren’t, also wearing 2 hats and a fake mustache is not inconspicuous sir) that was the talk of the airport for quite a while…
• The gate agent that somehow messed up the jetbridge so bad I had to take every single limit sensor apart so I could override it. When he called it in all I was told was “the wheel locked up and I kept moving it, and I made an ooopsies.”
• The coworker that would insist on wanting to empty the lavs (which is easier than loading bags) but would mess it up at least once every other week and spill on himself, then just look horrified but not move….
• A woman rode an unattended baggage belt, luckily she was read as an oversize bag and sent directly to TSA, she literally could have been killed. She scared the daylights out of some TSA agents though. Could you imagine- you expect a golf club bag or something and get a person popping out?
• The lady who was really scared to fly, got really drunk, and fell down an up escalator. It was Christmas and luckily the gate agents were able to book her on a new flight the next day for free. But when asked if she had someone to pick her up, she called her husband, in Texas… (this is an airport near Chicago) she literally didn’t even know what airport she was at. A sheriff took her to a hotel to let her sleep it off, and to my knowledge she made it out safe the next morning.
I found a cat stuck in a wall, well actually she climbed through the wall and became trapped in a plumbing closet. She is really lucky some Southwest agents heard her crying and called us (they figured since we worked on conveyors and had tons of tools, we might be able to help. We called airport ops to open the closet door, and there she was. I still have her to this day, her name is Delta, and she is a very weird cat, I blame it on the fumes 🤣
All of this and more, and I work at a relatively small airport, and I was only there 5 years, and primarily worked 3rd shift as a mechanic.

"Oops" Episode Rambles
I rewatched the episode for the sake of my rewrite post (plus I just wanted to see the final animation, credit where it's due, the show is fun to look at sometimes), and decided to share my thoughts since I haven't done that for an episode in a while:
Ngl, I'm honestly really indifferent towards Fizzmodeus, like I get that it's most people's positive for this episode but I honestly just don't care about it. I think it's because I'm so jaded to the 99% of dialogue that's sex-related to enjoy the sentimental stuff but also because it's just Bee and Vortex again, and it begs the question of why the shit Stolas' situation is so special (aside from him being Vivzie's baby) when the Sins just do whatever and either hide it poorly or don't hide it at all. Who came up with this hierarchy in the first place? Because the more we go on the more it seems like a thing that only Goetians focus on (which Ozzie should be apart of so what the fuck).
Speaking of Ozzie, I don't get why he's so nice, same with Bee. I'm not asking for everyone to be a shithead 24/7 but the concept of Hell's leaders, the ones who've created and are enabling the world of kill-or-be-killed that we've seen, being 100% friendly is just odd to me. Then again, Viv's idea of Hell is a nonstop party where they're all good unlike the EVIL BAD TOTALLY NOT GOOD angels and Adam so it doesn't surprise me. Also his whole thing about "Lust shouldn't be forced". Um? I'd get it if he were talking about LOVE, but Lust is not something I'd ever consider to be consensual in nature, especially not in Hell. That's all I'll say on the matter because it's a very serious topic, but then again, maybe I should consider myself lucky a topic that dark isn't being butchered by Vivzie. All of that said, I do like Ozzie's voice actor, he's really nice-sounding.
I don't understand what the hell happened with Fizz and Blitzo. Who the fuck was going around saying that Blitzo didn't wanna see Fizz and didn't tell Fizz that Blitzo showed up? I have to assume it was maybe Barbie or Cash (assuming Cash didn't also die in the fire). If it was Barbie I'm not entirely sure why. As far as we're aware (unless they retcon it in later) Barbie shouldn't have seen Blitzo knocking into the cake or leaving Fizz, so if she did it because their mom died, I can't see how she would know that. Maybe someone saw Blitzo and passed that on to Barbie, but the fact of the matter is I shouldn't have to Tetris-style guess and insert explanations for the episode. If any episode was going to be a full on backstory, it should've been this one, not The Circus, especially with Unhappy Campers being before this one.
On a positive note, I think those little fly-dog things are so cute in a kinda ugly way. I do think it's kind of a nice small look into Fizz's mind that he'd have one that's wheelchair-bound because he'd relate to it. Ozzie patching up Fizz was nice too, as much as I don't care for the couple, I'm glad that Fizzmodeus at leasts SHOWS the shit that Stolitz doesn't. And speaking of Stolitz, yeah Blitzo keep telling me all these things Stolas TOTALLY does for you yeah I'm sooooooo sure
And, like other people have said, Stolas was totally pointless and useless like always, and what a nice cool guy who totally isn't bad like the other Goetia when he let that lawyer guy get brutally murdered, like yeah I guess it wasn't really his place to help or anything but I don't think having him smirk and say "Get fucked, little one" is doing him any favors. I do have to wonder if they're actually gonna go through with this Crystal shit. I'm not gonna bother guessing anymore because like I said before, the show will throw a biggest, goofiest curveball at you to try and seem less predictable.
And speaking of curveballs, Crimson and Striker. That's it. That's all I gotta say on that subject. I miss Harvest Moon Festival, man. Like I'm no Striker fangirl who buys all the Striker merch and shit but damn he's so pathetic now. Why did Blitzo have to recreate the shit that happened and shoot the barrel when he could've shot Striker in the face while he was talking? Please, I need someone else on the writing team PLEASE
Anyway I think that's it for now.

wwhat would the city girls do if you cheated? would yhey beliebe it of they heard it from someone else, or even you? would they need to catch you in the act to believe it? how easy would it be to convince them it was a misunderstanding?
(Runa is excluded because she has no one who could tell her and she never lets you outside unless with her so at most you'd be able to flirt with someone for a microsecond before they're dead and outdoor privileges are gone.)
♡ How They React To Their Darling Cheating ♡
♡ Miriel would not believe it no matter who tells her, even if you tell her she'll believe you're lying or if you're telling the truth then you are guiltless and you were coerced into it. She's going to ruin your affair partners life for this and you're going to need to be put under intense supervision because you prove to be much more naive of a human than she originally thought so she has to keep you safe. She's going to boss you around a lot more than usual and the only friends you're allowed to have are her trusted, preapproved people who she has hired to be safe, reliable friends for you. You had better follow everything she says from now on cause she knows so much better than you. She's probably going to want to leave the city with you because she no longer trusts these filthy humans to keep away from you. ♡
♡ If she witnesses the act she might actually snap, like something deep in her body will break and she will never be the same again. She's very delusional but her mind can only justify so much and seeing it makes her skin feel like it's crawling. I think Miriel would kill them with her bare hands which is something she doesn't usually do. ♡
♡ She would only believe it if you confessed or if she saw it occurring though you must want your bones to be crunched, she's vicious under even normal circumstances when you aren't being her good little mate but now you just had to do this. Your legs would be smashed and you would be forced to be in a wheelchair for the rest of your lives together because you've proven you do not deserve the privilege of doing anything without her. She needs to show you just how badly you need her and if you have decided you don't need her by cheating then she'll show you just how bad things can be once you stray from the comfort of her arms. ♡
♡ She will kill every single person in the city if that's what she has to do to keep your eyes only on her, or perhaps you want those poked out too, though she'll only threaten it, she won't actually do it because she does still love you even if you're an ungrateful brat. She might fly really high up into the air with you and loosen her grip a few times until you start to see how desperately you need her and her love in order to be alive. ♡
♡ Nikki would believe it if someone who was high ranking in her work told her, she would not believe a lower level employee and she has no friends who could inform her either so it would have to be someone with a high position and no reason to lie. She'll be highly confused however and try to figure out if it's a human thing to seek multiple partners, if it is then it's something she will have to train out of her stupid little human but either way she's not going to confront you instantly unless she sees it happen. ♡
♡ The person who dared to challenge the authority of a high ranking demon will obviously face a brutal torment, one only she as a high ranking demon could possibly inflict on them and she'll be sure to adequately train this behavior out of you until you could not imagine ever even being near someone other than her. You will scream out in terror and pain any time someone touches you as they walk past, so fearful of her misinterpreting the situation and deciding to train you again. ♡
♡ Nora does not have the best self esteem and isn't highly delusional so she would believe it if she was told it but it depends on it its a recurring behavior. If she finds out you did it once then she will be devastated but ultimately she will try to retain balance and seem like nothing is wrong and might even recover if she goes a long time without seeing evidence of you doing it again. If you confess or she witnesses the act then she's going to break just a tad bit. Before you know what's happening she's on the person with a knife she pulled out of god knows where and they've been turned into a bloody, goopy mess before she takes the knife and just... stares at you with it for a very long time. ♡
♡ There will be several moments where the two of you might be driving and she's contemplating driving off a cliff before she regains her sanity and realizes even if she did it, she would not die with you so she has to just go back to normal, trying to act like her reason to live has not completely devastated her. Might want to see if you can get a gadget from the boss to return her to normal but even then it might not fix the psychological scar even if she doesn't remember where the scar came from. ♡
♡ Sawyer knows everything that goes on with you, including the very millisecond you begin to even lay the groundwork to have an affair with someone. It would only take a minute before you and the poor soul who you tried to entertain to be dragged into her office, the latter of which has a bag over their head so they can't witness what's about to happen. While she does want to show they just how stupid they are to covet her mate when they could never please you as well as she can, she also is too jealous to let them see your form even if they're about to be dead. ♡
♡ She's pretty delusional so after it's finished things will be business as usual, she likely thinks you did it as a plea for attention and now you've gotten your drama and attention for the day so you won't cause any problems, will you dear? She will expect an apology later for the stupid way you went about your plea for attention and if you keep trying eventually she'll just take away your eyesight except for when you're in her penthouse or by her side. ♡

I introduce you all to first major bad wheelchair situation I encountered. My first time flying with my chair (the second time I’d ever used a mobility aid) went really well, other than one TSA agent being shocked I could stand.
Second time flying with my wheelchair on American Airlines was a totally different experience. When I went up to the employees at the gate and asked to stow my wheelchair on board they had no idea what I was talking about and were so confused. First they outright told me it didn’t exist and it might be because I flew on a different airline last time etc. I had to explain to them that it’s law for all planes in the US with over 100 passengers and eventually they checked and were able to figure it out but the experience wasn’t great and they even asked multiple times if I meant the flight attendants closet which is actually a priority wheelchair storage closet but in the end I got everything worked out. Although my little sister did say she heard staff complaining about having to move stuff because I insisted on storing my chair on board as if that’s not literally the purpose of the wheelchair closet.
On the second flight however we were in Charlotte NC and they had somebody there to help me with boarding and this man was awful. I know this type of ableism exists but as someone who usually doesn’t have a visible marker of disability it’s not what I usually experience. But this man talked to me like I was two years old, told me his name then pointed to his badge and explained that it said his name, asked multiple times who I was traveling with and made me go get them to board which meant that I was no longer the first to board and made my life harder trying to navigate boarding. I was still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt then when we got to the bottom of the ramp he wouldn’t listen to a word I said about showing my wheelchair on board and kept repeating that they’d gate check it for me and even asked me outright if I could understand him. I was so furious and when I asked if someone else was already storing a wheelchair in the priority closet he told me I wasn’t the only one who had needs. It was such a non answer but I was done and assumed someone else might already be using the wheelchair closet but when I got on the plane it was open and full of flight attendants luggage.
That whole situation has literally made me livid but I also feel really guilty for not continuing to stand up for myself when this happened and not going up to someone different to try and get the situation figured out. I still have to go home from the trip and I’m so worried about going through that again although I’m hoping if stuff comes up I’ll be more prepared to deal with it this time.
