Life Series Spoiler!

I just want to preface this by saying: I did NOT watch Pokémon as a kid. I didn't play the card game or video game. I can only name like 7 of them and like 5 trainers.

But in any case, I did watch Past life and was excited when seeing someone say that the Villies were like Team Rocket.

And, from what I've seen, everyone's mostly made Grian be Meowth (probably from his wet cat crash out over diamonds). Though I did see someone do Skyblings + Meowth Gem at one point.

But what about Pearl? I haven't seen it done yet. And Grian and Gem both had blonde skins in a 'past life' so I took matters into my own hands.

TBF I always thought Jessie and James were twins, and everyone says Gem and Grian are sibling coded. It makes sense.

Anyways this was a lot of fun to make. I did go through a lot of thought process with how to do Pearl as Meowth, but decided this was the best one.

Number of Hermits Pearl has played with: 16, and I feel that is the number we will be at for a while. Pearl has officially beaten day 8 and has mentioned that she plans to take a break from HH for now.

I will update again if/when she decides to come back to hungry hermits, or if she plays with someone new. However, this may be my last HH post for a while.

It's been so much fun keeping track of all the restaurants and trying to think up names for the unofficial ones. I hope you have enjoyed these just as much as I have had in making them, but for now, it's closing time.

Head-cannon fan-art

So, in my last post I had a head-cannon involving Joe Hills doing a one-man Pride parade, and seeing as it's the end of June, I wanted to give one more Pride post

And well . . . I just. . . I couldn't help myself. The head-cannon was too silly and I just- I had to draw it.

So, I present to you. . . Chapp-Hill Joen.

Obviously, I couldn't include EVERY Flag despite wanting to, and the minecart's a little funky (it was inspired from the Minecraft movie), but it turned out to be a very nice piece.

All in all, Happy Pride month! Let us all remember that we should never be ashamed of who we are, and no one knows us better than we know ourselves. Stay strong, stay safe and remember you are loved!

Mumbo's "Bunny Phase" Head-cannon

Now this is probably old news to the ones on the Mumbo side of Tumblr, but I wanted to give this shpeel for a while now for my people, and maybe some new to the fandom. Here we go!

Now we all know that Mumbo's hybrid forms include Moth, Vampire, and Potato mutant superhero gunslinger, however I’ve seen one take that just doesn’t seem as popular. So, I’m here to support it and say, “Mumbo had a bunny phase.”

Here me out!

Exhibit A: He would call himself a ‘happy bunny’ in Season 2.

I had gone back to watch his old stuff while we waited for season 10 to start and took notice that he would say the phrase almost as much as he says ‘chuff to bits’ now. Specially in episodes 12, 42, and 43.  I have not finished the season, nor have I moved onto the others however, I do intend to find out when he stopped using it and why.

Exhibit B: Mumbo does not stop moving.

While in conversations with others or just talking to us, he does not stop. Everyone knows this, and what Minecraft mob do we know that hardly stops moving, if ever? Exactly! The rabbit.

Exhibit C: Mumbo’s middle name.

He is Mumbo Kills-a-lot Jumbo, canonically. What mob in the game is known to be a killer? That’s right! The killer bunny. What color eyes do those bunnies have? Red. What can affect the eyesight if it is breathed in or consumed too much? Redstone. What have we as a fandom said that Mumbo consumes often? Redstone. Could this be a good cover story to hide if/when his eyes turned red? It very well could.

Exhibit D: Golden Carrots are his food source of choice.

He has said they’re the best in the game and, in recent events has stolen carrots from Pearl. (Very rabbit like behavior)

Therefore, Mumbo Kills-a-lot Jumbo, had a phase where he was once a killer bunny. He would use his love of redstone to hide this fact, yet still continues to exhibit rabbit like behavior even to this day. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

P.S. I said ‘phase’ because despite it still being part of his code, he did in fact stop using that form at some point. However, will unintentionally morph back into it at certain times.

As I said, I've been wanting to give this shpeel for a while. (like since the first hermit head-cannons post I made) I just lost the sketchbook that I had written the episode numbers in. Anyways, hope you enjoyed. I do have a fanfic with this head-cannon if we'd want to see it here. I'll be more active this summer due to being free from work, so expect some fun stuff.

Hermit Hurt/Comfort

“I thought I might find you here.” Xisuma says landing on the end island. A young avian sat, nestled by a large chorus plant. He sighs.

“If you wish to kick me out, just say it now.” The man says for the Voidwalker to step back.

“Kick you out?” He chuckles, “What over a little spat like that? Please.” He sits beside the avian. “I’ve seen Doc and Cleo go at it for an hour before and that fight got physical even.” There’s a pause.

“But, um, something tells me that your outburst had less to do with the argument at hand and more to do with something a bit more . . . personal, perhaps?” The red sweatered bird sighs again.

“Pardon my saying so Grian, but you’ve seemed a bit more sensitive today. What with not joining in on Scar’s teasing, being defensive about your wings, and it may have just been me, but I thought I saw you tearing up when Keralis gave you that shulker box of jungle wood.” X pauses, “Is something wrong, Grian? I’d like to help if there is.” The avian takes a big breath, before slowly pulling out a photo.

“Today is the day that I left Evo.” Grian explains showing X the photo.

It was an old one of a younger Grian having gotten a canary avian in a headlock, ruffling the pour boy's hair as the younger protested. A magpie avian appeared to have jumped on Grian's back, ruffling his hair and laughing while a purple martin yelled at the three from the doorway of an ice cream shoppe.

“The day I went with the Watchers and left behind my friends and. . .” Grian gulps, “and siblings.” Xisuma looks at him.

“I thought they’d be fine. . . Find a way out of the endless loop. . . at least that was my hope.” Grian breathes, “Months past where I was unknowledgeable of their whereabouts. Even though I did ask. . . it took months before I found out what had happened.” His hands clench at his trousers.

“Evo was destroyed, X. All remnants lost and . . . . I don’t– I don’t know– when I seen Mumbo fighting with False– it just— Broke me. I mean,” G blinks back tears, turning his head away, “He’s lucky you know? To have her here. Meanwhile, I. . . . . . I don’t even know if my siblings are alive.”

X looked at the avian as his heart cracked. He lifts a hand but hesitates to place it on the younger man. His lips part to say something but no words could even come to his mind, let alone out of his mouth. His hand slowly makes its way to Grian’s shoulder before gently pulling the avian into a gentle embrace. He gave a slight squeeze, as a promise formed in his mind.

He didn’t know how he’d manage, and he’d may have to scour the whole void, but one way or another, he would find them. . . for G.

As you all can probably tell, I'm not participating in Hermit-A-Day-May this year. Unfortunately, my schedule wouldn't allow it, but I do have something in the works and will hopefully be able to show it at the end of the month. Until then hope you enjoyed this story.

Hermit Charity Stream

Loved it. Loved so many parts of it, but there's just one thing that I don't think anyone's pointed out, and I say this with all the respect. . . . Why was Karn's outfit giving lesbian?

Like, look at him!

Like, don't get me wrong, guys can be feminine too, but something about the outfit just screams lesbian to me, and I love it! He absolutely slayed/cooked/ate! (Idk the right terminology)

But just thought I'd share with the Spuddies. As I said, loved the streams, the games, the events, and all the shenanigans that went down. Best of all, we raised 800k for the carts! I love this community so much and am happy to get to be a part of it as well as a great cause. ❤️❤️❤️

First Grian becomes Bob and now Jimmy is Larry. Guess everyone's just becoming vegetables at this point. /j

Context: So Xisuma raided into Pearl's stream today and knew immediately that the chicken Pearl was drawing was Larry from Dark Hours. Someone from his chat then confirmed that he had called it Jimmy at first. Pearl then jokes that she's going to call Jimmy Larry from now on.

Hot Take (Might be lukewarm IDK)

What if Pearl's just pretending to let the Scarlet Pearl out, and that's why she's been so "pathetic" for Wild and Simple life?

Think about it now!

Pearl loses her mind in DL, and, after the loss of Tilly, loses control of Scarlet Pearl, but regains control when she's snapped back to reality by Scott. (Going off my Head-cannons if you can't tell)

Obviously, the boogeyman curse, Scarlet is still within Pearl, but now she can control her.

She keeps control in Limited Life, but does need that break.(backpacking off Martyn's idea of Pearl needing the break for an episode), and while she does put on the outfit and goes after Impulse for whatever reason (been a while since I watched it) Pearl is still the one in control and doesn't actually let her out.

Then in Secret Life, Gem's heard faintly about Scarlet through others on Hermitcraft and Empires, and wants to see her, so she encourages Pearl to go feral, and Pearl does due to Cleo killing one of her dogs (it made her have a flashback to Tilly's death). However, even though Pearl is restraining Scarlet, she does let her come out a bit more. Only to be pulled back in once Pearl hears Gem say that Pearl was scaring her, remembers how feared and ostracized she was in DL and deciding that she doesn't want to let Scarlet out again, ever.

And what if (just an idea) attacking Gem in SL was her way of showing her that Scarlet Pearl was bad? Because Scarlet will attack anyone, even formers allies.

So, in Wild Life and Simple Life, when Gem encourages her to go feral. She 'tries to' but secretly refuses to let herself slip away like she did in DL. So instead of bloodthirsty and feral she just comes off as pathetic?

Idk, I've been thinking about this since seeing a post (I'm so sorry I forgot who it was >n<) pointed out that this is the twice Gem's tried to bring out Scarlet and has failed. Besides that, as someone who's researched, aka watched a 1-ish hour-long analysis about madness arcs and how they work about 12 different times, it would be safe to say that Pearl herself has to choose to be Scarlet (like in Arcane where Jinx chooses to be Jinx and not Powder) and certain 'breaking points' can cause her to make the choice.

Anyways, I just wanted to throw my two cents in the ring, it might be trash, but hey . . . we like twinkly trash around here ou<.

Context: While working on her river, Skizz logs back on and questions where Gem is. After responding, a chatter mentions that Skizz may still be in a certain skin. Unluckily for Gem, this just so happens to be the case.

It's a good thing Pearl's gotten back into playing Hungry Hermits. Gives me a reason to list all the new people she's played with!

Decked Out Drabble

(Not really a drabble but it rolls off the tongue better than Decked Out story/fanfic)

Pearl uploaded Part 2 of Phase 6 of her Decked Out 2 round about a week ago and I was in a writing mood that day. This is what came out of it.

Trigger warning: T-words

“Alright. Scar egg, here I come.” Hypno mutters, landing on the strip leading to the dungeon. His mind had been racing all night. Fighting to understand what the hint that Tango gave could mean.

“To figure it out before her is going to take a miracle. Too smart for her own good sometimes.” He mentions, strolling into the citadel. However, as he enters into the hermit storage area, he can’t help but hear loud giggles coming from one of the cubbies.

“Ehehethohoho! Plehehease!” Hypno hears as he follows the voice, leading him to his current rival’s unit. There he finds the oldest hermit having trapped the younger one.

Etho was sat on Pearl’s submitting shulker, his legs wrapped around the pour girl’s waist as one hand held one of her wrists above her head while the other had made its way through the upper part of her dungarees to be tickling her side.

Pearl herself was already a squirmy, giggling mess. Her free hand trying to hide the pink of her face as well as a large smile that, of course, peaked out at the edges.

“And who said you could start submitting tombs now, huh? Coming for my title?”

“Nahahaha! I just wahahnted a phahahase trophehehey!”

“Uh huh, sure you did. Not like you could have bought a card or something.”

“I cohohouldn’tststst. Whahat the shop gave was trahahahash hahahaha!” Pearl squeals before spotting Hypno.

“H-Hypnohoho! Help!” Pearl begs for him to step out, chuckling.

“Etho, what are you doing?”

“Just securing my place for number one spot.”

“By torturing the youngest hermit?”

“I’m not torturing her! I’m giving her breaks.” Etho defends as he moves Pearl’s arm down and his hand begins drilling into stomach, making the girl press into him.

“Vehehery rahaharely.” Pearl chimes before jumping at a poke to the ribs.

“You know, she’s supposed to be my rival currently. We’re supposed to be fighting for the egg hunt trophy.”

“Aww, you jealous? What? Afraid I’m gonna steal your girl?”

“Dohohon’t sahay ihiht like thahahaht!” Pearl laughs as Etho’s fingers spider her other side. The two chuckle before Etho decides to finally give her a break.

“I never knew you were so sensitive, Pearl.”

“N-no one. . . would even– know, if Gri-Grian could. . . shu–shut his mouth.” She gasps, moving her hand from her face.

“You say that like he did it intentionally.” Hypno leans on the wall, folding his arms, “All it took was just a one-off comment after he’d been tortured for anyone to know.”

“Still not fair.” She huffs, “What are you doing up anyways? Isn’t it real early for you?”

“Well, I knew you’d be awake, and figured if I could find the Scar or Cleo egg before you, I'll at least have a chance of winning.”

“At the rate you two are going, Tango’s going to have to have two trophies made instead of one. Been tied for weeks now.” Etho mentions, as a single digit starting to tease Pearl’s side again for her to lean away.

“Nah, one of us will find both before the other. I’m sure of it.”

“Well, if you really think so, then I guess I better be getting in there.” Hypno stands, turning away, “Just be sure to give her a good go-round from me, Etho. Don’t want her getting too confident.”

“No! Hypnohohoho!” Hypno hears before the youngest dissolves into helpless laughter once again. Void, he loved this rivalry.

Honestly, I had not actually finished the full video before writing this but was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that Pearl had been buying many tombs in the video, so that plot point lined up well. Either way, I just thought this would be a cute little drabble I could share. :]
