It's a good thing Pearl's gotten back into playing Hungry Hermits. Gives me a reason to list all the new people she's played with!

Decked Out Drabble

(Not really a drabble but it rolls off the tongue better than Decked Out story/fanfic)

Pearl uploaded Part 2 of Phase 6 of her Decked Out 2 round about a week ago and I was in a writing mood that day. This is what came out of it.

“Alright. Scar egg, here I come.” Hypno mutters, landing on the strip leading to the dungeon. His mind had been racing all night. Fighting to understand what the hint that Tango gave could mean.

“To figure it out before her is going to take a miracle. Too smart for her own good sometimes.” He mentions, strolling into the citadel. However, as he enters into the hermit storage area, he can’t help but hear loud giggles coming from one of the cubbies.

“Ehehethohoho! Plehehease!” Hypno hears as he follows the voice, leading him to his current rival’s unit. There he finds the oldest hermit having trapped the younger one.

Etho was sat on Pearl’s submitting shulker, his legs wrapped around the pour girl’s waist as one hand held one of her wrists above her head while the other had made its way through the upper part of her dungarees to be tickling her side.

Pearl herself was already a squirmy, giggling mess. Her free hand trying to hide the pink of her face as well as a large smile that, of course, peaked out at the edges.

“And who said you could start submitting tombs now, huh? Coming for my title?”

“Nahahaha! I just wahahnted a phahahase trophehehey!”

“Uh huh, sure you did. Not like you could have bought a card or something.”

“I cohohouldn’tststst. Whahat the shop gave was trahahahash hahahaha!” Pearl squeals before spotting Hypno.

“H-Hypnohoho! Help!” Pearl begs for him to step out, chuckling.

“Etho, what are you doing?”

“Just securing my place for number one spot.”

“By torturing the youngest hermit?”

“I’m not torturing her! I’m giving her breaks.” Etho defends as he moves Pearl’s arm down and his hand begins drilling into stomach, making the girl press into him.

“Vehehery rahaharely.” Pearl chimes before jumping at a poke to the ribs.

“You know, she’s supposed to be my rival currently. We’re supposed to be fighting for the egg hunt trophy.”

“Aww, you jealous? What? Afraid I’m gonna steal your girl?”

“Dohohon’t sahay ihiht like thahahaht!” Pearl laughs as Etho’s fingers spider her other side. The two chuckle before Etho decides to finally give her a break.

“I never knew you were so sensitive, Pearl.”

“N-no one. . . would even– know, if Gri-Grian could. . . shu–shut his mouth.” She gasps, moving her hand from her face.

“You say that like he did it intentionally.” Hypno leans on the wall, folding his arms, “All it took was just a one-off comment after he’d been tortured for anyone to know.”

“Still not fair.” She huffs, “What are you doing up anyways? Isn’t it real early for you?”

“Well, I knew you’d be awake, and figured if I could find the Scar or Cleo egg before you, I'll at least have a chance of winning.”

“At the rate you two are going, Tango’s going to have to have two trophies made instead of one. Been tied for weeks now.” Etho mentions, as a single digit starting to tease Pearl’s side again for her to lean away.

“Nah, one of us will find both before the other. I’m sure of it.”

“Well, if you really think so, then I guess I better be getting in there.” Hypno stands, turning away, “Just be sure to give her a good go-round from me, Etho. Don’t want her getting too confident.”

“No! Hypnohohoho!” Hypno hears before the youngest dissolves into helpless laughter once again. Void, he loved this rivalry.

Honestly, I had not actually finished the full video before writing this but was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that Pearl had been buying many tombs in the video, so that plot point lined up well. Either way, I just thought this would be a cute little drabble I could share. :]

Skybling's Song-fic

Heyo! I'm back with another skyblings post. This time with song!

The song for this fic is called "One Little Star". You may recognize it from the Sesame Street movie "Follow that Bird". Basically, what happened was that I was looking up a different song, and this one popped up on my feed, I listened to it and, boom, fanfic was made.

But enough author ramblings! Onto the story!

Night had fallen on the sky-block world. Jimmy sat on his bed, looking out over the vast void and what little terrain there was. He was proud of the progress he had made, even if it had taken most of his energy.

As he laid back, he reaches for the lantern beside him, however, bumps the picture frame instead. Luckily, due to fast reflexes, he was able to catch it before it could tumble to the floor.

After checking the frame itself, he pauses to look at the photo.

It was an old one. . . of him and his siblings. One that had been taken back in Evo. It consisted of Grian having gotten him in a headlock, ruffling his hair much to his annoyance and Pearl having jumped on Grian's back, ruffling his hair and laughing. They were in front of the poorly made ice cream shoppe he had been building at the time.

Jimmy chuckled as his eyes grew wet. It seemed like yesterday they were there. Now he could only guess where the two were or what they were doing.

Grian, had been taken by the watchers. Gone right after the end fight. Pearl was another story though.

She had been in the wither fight in Legacy. After which, Jimmy had woken up alone on the single sky-block here. There was no note. No one else. Nothing. All he could do was hope she was alive and out there somewhere, safe and happy.

He lowers the picture into his lap before looking into the darkness to find a single star shining brightly.

"One little star

All alone in the sky

Do you ever get lonely

As the twilight drifts by?"

Pearl sat on the balcony of her radio tower, looking down at the other Legates chatting and fighting as they did most nights. She wished she had the energy to go down, she felt bad that she hadn't been interacting with anyone for the entirety of today.

Never feel bad for taking your health seriously. Her brother's words rang in her head. Her lip twitches into a smile. Jimmy was always the rational one. She takes a photo from the inside pocket of her hoodie.

Leaning on the railing, she recalls the day this particular photo of her and her brothers was taken. The three rough housing in front of the ice cream store Jimmy had built. The giggling and chasing they had done.

Pearl wiped a tear from her eye.

Jimmy hadn't been with them when they had woken up in this new world. No one had heard anything about what happened to him or the other former Legates. All she could do was hope he was alright. Much like she had done when Grian was taken.

She looks into the sky, seeing one star twinkling in the open void.

"One little star

In the darkening blue.

Do you long for another

Just the way that I do?"

Grian landed on top of his mansion, rubbing his left eye for what seemed to be the millionth time that day. Honestly, were the old ones trying to tell him something?

He sat on his rooftop, looking out across the jungle. Mumbo's base looking to be coming along nicely. Scar's so-called starter base looking as beautiful and as lively as ever against the twilight sky. He was really good at organics.

Grian chuckles, recalling the time he had said the same thing to someone else. He blinked a few times, pulling the tiny locket from his sweater.

Opening it up, it revealed his favorite picture. One of him and his siblings at Timmy's newly constructed ice cream parlor.

He swallowed as he held the locket close before looking up into the night sky. One star deciding to sparkle a hello.

"Sky begins to fill.

Darkness ends the day.

Someone who I love

Is far away."

Pearl held the picture close to her, hoping that somewhere out there, her brothers were safe and knew how much she missed them. She looked back to the sky blinking back tears.

"One little star

Reaching far through the night.

Do you shine on my someones?

Are we sharing your light?

Oh, one little star

Shine on us each tonight."

Jimmy lays back in bed, placing the picture beside him and tracing the frame.

"I miss you, Pearl. And you too, Grian . . . Maybe one day we could be together again." He says, glancing out at the star once more.

In the darkness of the void, two watchers, two listeners, and two keepers of secrets sit around a table, a crystal ball in the center.

The monthly meeting had adjourned, however the six remained to converse about various topics. That is until the center orb started to glow. One of each reached out to touch the sphere for it to show not one, not two, but three avians. Each having been in high favor with the council. The three seem to be grieving with song, the magpie and macaw harmonizing the canary.

Couldn't figure out a good way to do that last part where they all sing together, so you just got told they were together. But anyways, hope you enjoyed, this was a lot of fun, and slightly painful, to write. I'm not super good at angst in stories but I may do more of these in the future. We'll just have to wait and see.
