Recognizing Signs of Personal Revelation in Recovery
Recognizing personal revelation involves understanding its signs. Key indicators include feelings of peace, sudden clarity, and persistent nudging. These signs help individuals confirm they are on the right path, even when doubt arises.
Understanding Personal Revelation: A Guide for Spiritual Growth in Sobriety Understanding personal revelation is crucial for spiritual growth, especially during recovery from addiction. It provides insights and guidance that help navigate life’s challenges. Personal revelation acts as a compass, aligning individuals with their higher purpose and deepening their connection to God. Do You Want to Get Well?
In the fifth chapter of John’s gospel, we encounter a story of Jesus healing a paralytic man who had been waiting by the pool of Bethesda for 38 years to try to get healed. It’s easy to glide past this little narrative as another of Jesus’s healings or miracles in general. But instead of doing that, I’d like to pause to ponder the simple question Jesus asks the man before doing anything…

Hi, I’m Hannah.
I am trying to build my life after 49 hospital admissions in 8 years. After 20+ years of trauma, an eating disorder etc. I have diagnoses of cPTSD, Anorexia, Fibromyalgia, Functional Neurological Disorder and my large bowel no longer works. I have been on the disability pension since 2019 but have increasing medical costs, increase in rent, more and more specialists and appointments weekly, fortnightly and monthly. I currently have 11 people on my team but can only afford to see 2 regularly.
I am needing help financially that I can’t find elsewhere. I am doing all that I can and am also currently studying at university but have become so overwhelmed, in thousands of dollars debt and am always behind in bills. I would be so grateful for any donations. Thank you

Hey, y'all! I don't normally do this, but could y'all please pray for my mum? She's been in the hospital for 1-2 weeks with a brian bleed, and she's been in a coma for awhile now (because of all the meds they've given her) and they're gonna start slowly waking her up. They say at first she probably won't even remember who we are, so please pray for a speedy recovery! Thank you ❤️❤️

I'd rather be "too much" than nothing at all.
I'd rather feel "too much" than lose what makes me human.
I'd rather do "too much" than see you doubt whether I love you at all or not.
I'd rather show my humanity than hide it away.

When you grow up having the worst possible things happening to you around every corner, you can't just keep living your life without expecting the worst.
This isn't even paranoia, it's learning by experience. You can't just start expecting nice and safe and kind things to be put in your way, if they never were, it would not be backed up by any real-life experience you had. It would feel like you're dreaming if you suddenly expect your life to change completely and contain different events from anything you've experienced before. We don't work like that. We learn from experience. We can only predict what's ahead by looking at what's behind us, our collective experience on earth is the only pointer we have to what else we can expect to happen.
If you often told that your expectations are twisted, or that you're just looking for the worst in people, or assuming everyone has bad intentions, that's not something you should be blamed for. After suffering abuse and mistreatment, you have to be on the lookout for these things to prevent the worst and to save your life. You cannot afford to get trapped in abuse again, you have to look at every person and ask yourself, what is the worst they're capable of. What would they do if they had the complete power over me. And you have to work with that, make sure it doesn't get to it, as much as it's in your power to do so.
Abuse victims have to go above and beyond to keep themselves safe, because we get targeted. It's not something we want to do, or something we do to make our own lives difficult. We don't enjoy it. We want to be safe. We want to let our guard down. We want to relax and believe we're surrounded by people who wouldn't harm us. But, if we're wrong, the consequences can be disastrous. And getting abused by someone we trusted was safe for us, that is not something we can survive endless times in life.

Practical Steps to Righteous Living and Recovery

I need your prayers/love energy/healing energy.
I’ve been in the mental health ward for 2 days after coming down from medical and the plan of what was going to happen changed as soon as I got down here.
I was told ‘I’m going to say you’re a lost cause but you’ve tried every therapy out there and haven’t gotten better.’
I tried so hard with the highest meal plan yesterday that they’ve put me onto to try and restore some weight and it’s a brutal adjustment.
I want to go home but I know I need to do everything I can to take this opportunity to fuel my body and brain even though it goes everything the eating disorder wants.
I want to live a fulfilling life and thrive and pour my energy into all the dreams that I have and that people spoke over me.
I’ve slept poorly the last 2 nights and this morning my body is in agony. My pain levels upon getting up with 9/10 and that’s on a normal pain scale (not a spoonie pain scale).
I want to get better and I’m doing everything I can but some extra support/messages etc. would be so so appreciated. Thank you 🙏🏻

i wish for some day there to be peace for you. wish for some day for you to lift the latch of the main door and wish for your hands to not shake. some day for you to go home and not feel anxiety. some day collapse in your bed and feel relaxed. some day for you to go to the family room and feel warm and cozy. some day for you to close your eyes in tranquility, not to blink back your tears.

"Nobody is going to save you, nobody is gonna help you, nobody is going to care that you're still stuck in the past" But it should happen! Have you considered that maybe all of these things should happen?? Why are you rubbing in my face that we live in a world where people will abuse you and nobody will help you or even care about you afterwards? What's there to be smug about?
Being hopeful that help exists and that some people will care about our pain is what we hold onto, to survive this! It's normal, human, natural and it shows some faith in humanity! What is fun about telling us there's no humanity on this world and to stop hoping anyone decent exists? We're already scared of that!
Yes people will care and yes someone will want to help really badly. Some people do take issue with abuse existing in this world and are working to make it better. Since you're not one of them, go enjoy your heartless world.
