Discover the Secret to Radiant Skin with Facial Yoga
Tumblr media
Are you tired of trying countless skincare products with little to no results? Wondering how beauty professionals and celebrities maintain their youthful, glowing skin? Face Yoga is not just another beauty fad; it’s a powerful, natural way to achieve healthy, radiant skin. Imagine achieving noticeable results without spending a fortune on creams or undergoing invasive treatments.
Face Yoga consists of specific movements designed to relax your facial muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. You might be skeptical—can simple exercises really make a difference? The answer is yes. These exercises are backed by experts and have been embraced by many who seek a natural approach to skincare. They improve blood circulation, boost oxygen supply to skin cells, and enhance moisture production, giving your skin a youthful glow.
Worried about fitting this into your busy schedule? Don't be. These exercises are simple, take only a few minutes each day, and can be easily integrated into your daily routine. And the best part? You can do them at home, without any expensive equipment.
8 Powerful Facial Yoga Exercises for Glowing Skin
Here are the top facial yoga exercises that could transform your skincare routine:
Forehead Massage: This exercise helps in erasing the wrinkles that appear on the forehead and removes tension between the brows. Just make fists and massage outward from the center of your forehead to your temples with your knuckle’s fingers.
Eye Circles: Tired of puffy and sunken eyes? This exercise increases blood flow around the eyes, reducing puffiness and dark circles. Simply use your index fingers to lightly touch the region surrounding your eyes and move in a circular motion.
V Shaped Pressure: This exercise provides relief to the stressed eye muscles and helps in fighting crow’s feet. Place your index finger on your temple and middle finger on a tear duct to apply V-shaped pressure.
Cheek Massage: Achieve fuller, sculpted cheeks by inflating your cheeks and lightly tapping them with your hands. This strengthens your cheek muscles and reduces wrinkles around the mouth.
Swan Neck: To get a slender neck, turn your head forward and drag your fingertips from your mouth to your collarbone, using mild pressure. This tightens the skin on your neck and reduces drooping and wrinkles.
Lip Pull: This exercise tones your face muscles and offers high cheekbones and a prominent jawline. Sit or stand comfortably, pull your lower jaw out, and lift your bottom lip as much as you can.
Neck Rolling: Ideal for improving posture and relieving neck tightness. Sit comfortably, keep your head forward, and roll your neck in circular motions. This tones the muscles of your chin, jawline, and neck.
Simha Mudra (Lion Pose): This comprehensive exercise enhances facial muscle function and ensures proper thyroid gland function. Kneel, lay your hands on your thighs, open your mouth wide, and stick your tongue out while making a lion-like roar.
Take the Next Step
These exercises are simple and effective, but if you're looking to explore more about facial yoga and how it can benefit you, why not dive deeper? For more detailed guidance and additional facial exercises, check out the detailed blog here.

What are the best facial exercises for women
Facial exercises are a great way to keep your skin looking youthful and glowing. They work by strengthening the muscles in your face and neck, which can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, facial exercises can also increase blood flow to the skin, which can help to give you a healthy, radiant complexion. If you're looking for the best facial exercises for women, here are a few options to consider:
Facial     Yoga Exercises
Facial yoga exercises are a popular choice for women who want to tone their facial muscles and improve their skin's appearance. These exercises are typically gentle and easy to do, making them a great choice for beginners. Some popular facial yoga exercises include:
The     "V" exercise: This exercise involves making a "V"     shape with your index and middle fingers and placing them on either side     of your eyes. Then, you'll need to apply gentle pressure and blink your     eyes rapidly for 10 to 15 seconds.
The     cheek lifter: To do this exercise, simply smile as widely as possible     while keeping your lips closed. Hold the smile for 10 seconds and then     relax. Repeat this exercise 10 to 15 times.
The     chin lift: Tilt your head back and look up at the ceiling. Then, pucker     your lips and hold for 5 seconds. Relax and repeat 10 to 15 times.
Face     and Neck Exercises
If you're looking for a more targeted approach to facial exercises, face and neck exercises may be a good choice. These exercises can help to reduce sagging skin and improve the appearance of your jawline. Some popular face and neck exercises include:
The     neck roll: Tilt your head to one side and roll your neck in a circular motion.     Repeat on the other side.
The     double chin blaster: Tilt your head back and stick your tongue out as far     as possible. Hold for 10 seconds and then relax. Repeat 10 to 15 times.
The     jawline exercise: Place your fingers on your jawline and apply gentle     pressure. Then, push your jaw forward and hold for 10 seconds. Relax and     repeat 10 to 15 times.
Massage     Techniques
In addition to exercises, facial massage techniques can also help to improve your skin's appearance. Massaging your face can increase blood flow and promote lymphatic drainage, which can help to reduce puffiness and give you a more youthful glow. Some popular facial massage techniques include:
The     temple massage: Use your fingertips to gently massage your temples in a     circular motion. This can help to relieve tension and reduce headaches.
The     cheek massage: Use your fingertips to gently massage your cheeks in an     upward motion. This can help to tone your facial muscles and give you a     more lifted appearance.
The     forehead massage: Use your fingertips to gently massage your forehead in a     circular motion. This can help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
In conclusion, facial exercises and massage techniques can be a great way to improve your skin's appearance and keep it looking youthful and glowing. Whether you prefer facial yoga exercises, face and neck exercises, or massage techniques, there are plenty of options to choose from. By incorporating these exercises into your daily routine, you can help to reduce the signs of aging and achieve a healthier, more radiant complexion.

an angels guide: sunday reset routine
hi angels! at the end of a busy and long week you need to prioritise taking care of yourself, your mental health and your space. i like to save sundays to be a ‘me’ day, a day where i indulge in self care, cleaning and preparing myself peacefully for a busy week ahead. resetting your space and self can be an intensive routine (think thirty minute youtube videos of someone deep cleaning their house) or just simple and short (having an early night). this is my more aspirational reset routine, on an ideal sunday i will do all of this but some days i may negotiate and do a little less. hopefully this post inspires you to take care of yourself and your space.

So you can't get out of bed...
This is a resource list for all those who are having trouble getting out of bed. Whether that's because of injury, disability, or mental health, this collection of resources should help address some of the common pain points I've experienced over the years. Some will require modification if truly bedbound but my hope is this sparks ideas and gives you a place to start.
A warning: this is a *long* post. I went for thoroughness over brevity so people had options where possible.
Food
This video from Sarah McGlory of Adaptive Cleaning details her system.
It is excellent. I have a similar bin to her first in my room for high pain and low mood days. Prioritize high fiber and high protein shelf stable foods. Make sure electrolytes and water are within easy reach.
If grocery trips are too much, it's worth looking into pick up or delivery. In my experience, the delivery services through stores are better than Instacart and the like. The retailer who must not be named also has a great snack selections that hold up pretty well in transit.
Fruit + veggie pouches, baked chips, and RXBars are some of my favorites to keep on hand.
Clean Space
This video from KC Davis of Struggle Care details her "Five Things Tidying Method".
If you can't tidy your whole space, focus on the walkways. Make sure you have a walkway to your bedroom door, to your front door (or other way to leave your house), to the bathroom, and to the kitchen or where you store food.
Another tip from KC Davis - if you're struggling to get your plates back to the kitchen before they stick or attract bugs, get gallon sized plastic bags and seal the plates inside of them. You can always wash and reuse them once you've delivered it safely to your sink or dishwasher. When you're just surviving, it's just as okay to toss them after.
Bonus: This no-mess method of decluttering from Dana K. White is low energy friendly. You can stop whenever and your space is still better.
Hygiene
This post details my care kit that I use.
If you're unable to shower regularly, I'd add in some baby wipes. Yours probably won't look exactly like mine but I hope it can be a jumping off point. If I could only pick two items, it'd be the disposable toothbrushes and a good facial lotion (since it can also be used on the body). If you can't bare to change your clothes, just change your underwear. This helps prevent health issues down the road.
Movement
Arm Workout in Bed: [3 Min] [5 Min] [10 min]
Core Workout in Bed: [3 Min] [5 Min] [10 Min]
Leg Workout in Bed: [3 Min] [5 Min] [10 Min]
Yoga in Bed: [Morning] [Anytime] [Evening]
Stretching: [5 Min] [10 Min]
If you're able to stand + move but not up for leaving your room, then Rick Bhullar's walking workouts are great in a small space.
For a long time, I thought that you could only get exercise by getting dressed in specific clothes and going outside or to a gym. Now I know that there are lots of options for getting a little movement in bed. Even a short 3 min workout a day can help decrease muscle atrophy. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good enough.
Bonus: I also just walk laps around my room/apartment. You don't have to go outside. It can get a little boring sure. But quick 5-10 min walking breaks through out the day add up.
Spirituality
This is ultimately going to be specific to you and your tradition. Even if you are not religious at all taking a moment to think about your bigger picture values is important. Since my core spiritual path is Buddhism, here are some recommendations in that vein. I could not find good links for all of these. I don't necessarily do all of these everyday but I try to do a few.
Three Refuges by Plum Village
The Five Precepts by Access to Insight
The Five Remembrances on Wikipedia
Chanting Om Mani Padme Hum
Chanting Namo'valokiteshvara
Reciting the Heart Sutra
Bonus: A pagan practice I enjoy is reciting the hymns to the planet of the day. Offering water and incense is great but optional. Praying to and thanking ancestors and land spirits is also a great practice.
Alternatives to Social Media
It's easy to get stuck in the black hole of scrolling. It's good to have something enjoyable to pivot to.
Cozy Games
My favorites are Stardew Valley, Wingspan, and Animal Crossing. The first two aren't terribly expensive. A lower cost alternative to Animal Crossing would be Cozy Grove which regularly goes on sale. Sims can be cozy as well - minus any pool shenanigans.
Slowly
This is an app that allows you to send messages but delivers them on a delay based on how far away you are from someone. It makes it fairly easy to find penpals though, as with anything, it can be hit or miss. I've even convinced a few of my irl friends to try it and write them little letters on there. The delay makes receiving them more special. It's a great way to play letter writing rpgs with friends. I'm currently using it to play Grandpa's Farm with my partner.
750 Words
Ever wished you could do morning pages digitally? That's what 750 words started out as being but you can ultimately use it however you want. Some people use it to hit word counts on their writing projects. I'm a fan of using it to brain dump and then micro journal. It does cost a small fee after 30 days but it's by far been worth it to me.
FeederWatch
Getting outside - even if it's just for 5 minutes - once a day is a great goal. But if you can't, take a break and watch one of these feeder streams for a while. Even just seeing images of the outdoors, is calming. I sometime throw this up on one screen while I'm playing a cozy game or doing some non-screen activities.
Screen Breaks
We all know it's important to take screen breaks - but it's extra important to do it when you're in bed and you're screens are a big part of how you spend your day. Below are some of my favorite ways to take a break. 10 minutes every two hours or 20 minutes every three hours can make a big difference.
Postcrossing or writing letters to friends
Solo RPGs - here are some of mine, here's a D&D example
Free adult coloring pages
Read a Book - reading challenge, get personalized recommendations
Play a solitaire card game - there are so damn many now
Walk around for 5-10 minutes, bonus if it's outside.
Volunteer
One of the big feelings that come up for me when I'm mostly in bed is that I feel like a burden to others. Rather than trying to "be productive" I've found it's much better to try to positively contribute to others even if it's in small ways - sending a text to someone remembering/thanking them for something kind they did for me, ordering a little present for someone I know who's had a rough time, sending a card to someone who has a birthday coming up. The little stuff really helps people.
If you don't have many people in your life like that to help or you'd like to help some strangers too here are some other options.
Sigma Phi Eta
This is a 100% online and free greek service org I'm trying to get off the ground. 3 hours of service to become a pledge which count towards the 10 needed to become a member. 10 hours each year to stay active. We maintain an updated list of online/distanced volunteer opportunities as we find them. We have service awards for those who want to go above and beyond. Plus once you're a member you can wear our letters.
We're small right now but if you want a group of people to talk service and grow with - come join us!
Letters Against Isolation
LAI is probably my favorite charity I volunteer for. Volunteers write cards and letters to people in nursing homes, assisted living, and those connected to senior centers through Meals on Wheels and other programs. They're always adding new facilities so the need is always growing. They have facilities in multiple countries they write to and could use people who speak another language especially.
Warm Up America
Mostly for crocheters and knitters - this org accepts donations of all kinds of patterns and distributes them to smaller projects and charities who otherwise wouldn't be able to access these kind of goods at scale. I've made a few things for them - simple hats - and greatly enjoyed the process. Great use for your cheaper acrylic yarns.
7 Cups
I've had a mixed experience with 7 Cups. I really have enjoyed my experiences chatting with people on there but it can be really hit or miss as to whether I feel like I've helped people. There's also the usual people who try to use any chat service for sex. That aside, I still think their training is pretty good and it can feel meaningful when you're able to connect with someone who's not doing so hot.

Primal Chic: The Princess Saves Herself & The Planet in this It Girl meets Survivalist Lifestyle
Tumblr media
If you think it girl, you may think of high maintenance, high consumption, pampered, luxe living. I want you to take a step back from that idea with me and introduce a new mindset, Primal Chic. Borrowing from the Clean Girl, GORP Girl, It Girl, Stoic, Survivalist, and Prepper, Primal Chic is all about minimizing your impact on the planet, maximizing your self-sufficiency, and building meaningful sisterhood.
Primal Chic in 3 Words is: Sustainability, Self-Sufficiency, & Sisterhood.
Body: Fuel, Movement, & Beauty
Fuel: Our bodies and minds need high-quality fuel, and that's offered by a whole-food, paleo diet. Many of the foods on the market are heavily processed and loaded with low-quality fillers that drive calories and macros up without meeting our micronutrient needs. On top of this, a huge segment of the market is imported from outside of our local communities, adding heavily to the carbon footprint of our foods. Choosing locally grown, non-GMO, organic produce and proteins from fair trade, regenerative, or woman-owned agri-businesses is a fantastic stepping stone if you can't generate your own food due to time, space, or monetary constraints. I love shopping locally owned health food stores, farmers markets, and farm stands. The price of organics also goes down if you shop store-brand organics. There are also Facebook groups and Pinterest boards dedicated to Paleo recipe swaps. You also want to make sure you're honoring your body's needs in all of it's areas, rest, relaxation, movement, and nutrition.
Movement: Functional, outdoor movement benefits body, mind, and soul. A good hike, a lake swim, or even just a good jog with your pets are all great ways to get your cardio in. Outdoor yoga, rucks, rock climbing, and calisthenics are low-cost, high-reward strength and conditioning exercises that help you to keep toned and ready for action in your day-to-day life. Don't forget ROM either, active recovery walks, daily yoga, and deep stretches ensure you remain flexible and reduce pain from tight, stiff muscles and joints. Adding in a few friends allows you to build sisterhood and meet your social needs too, and being outdoors helps with the chronic vitamin D deficiencies most modern women face.
Beauty: Choosing clean, sustainable beauty and reducing the number of products used is good for your body due to fewer toxins, your mind with lower body and facial dysmorphia from high glam makeup looks, and the planet with less harsh manufacturing processes. Consider switching to multi-use products, reducing the number of products in your skincare & makeup routines, and swapping to washable/reusable body, skin, and feminine hygiene products to care for yourself and our planet. I'll be going into more detail on the swaps I made personally in a blog post next week.
Side Note: Planning a girl's weekend yoga retreat or having a buddy to do the Whole30 (a great intro to Paleo eating) with you is a great way to build up your sisterhoods and your own resolve for this new lifestyle.
Mind: Clarity, Wisdom, and Continuous Growth
Stoicism: The serenity prayer is a fantastic example of the basis of stoicism, letting go of the things you can't control or change, courageously sticking to your values and virtues and changing or controlling the things you can, living in harmony with nature, practice emotional mindfulness and emotional chastity, and practice resilience, learning to bounce back from failures and misfortune. With all things in life there is a learning curve, and allowing yourself to be ruled by algorithms, propaganda, and impulses reduces your own personal power.
Minimalism: Cut out overconsumption to help save the planet, save your wallet, and save your space. Choosing quality, durable, practical, and multi-purpose items allows you to spend less time organizing and cleaning and more time with friends and family, and doing the things that truly feed your soul. You don't have to have a spartan, sterile, white living space to embrace minimalism either, you can still inject your own personal style and personality into your choices, but be more mindful about where and how you're spending your hard-earned money.
Dedication to Continuous Growth: Instead of doom-scrolling or watching brain-rotting television, try switching out social media for micro-learning, soaps for documentaries, and limiting screen time to 1-3 hours per day. Try switching out happy hour for a self-defense or first aid class. Get involved with book swaps and information databases or group PDF sharing.
Heart: Love Thyself, Love Thy Neighbor, Love Thy Planet
Self-Love: Forming a sisterhood and meaningful community starts with loving yourself. You can't draw from an empty well, so being honest and vulnerable with yourself and taking care of yourself is the first step in being able to be there for others at your most authentic. Reminding yourself of your inherent value is important.
Earth: The frequencies of the earth are often interfered with by our man-made surroundings, taking time to ground yourself and connect with the world around you, either on your own, or in a group, is good for the heart. Try and take an hour or two per day and spend it outdoors, really soaking in the beauty you may have been numbed to by having it become mundane.
Connection & Community: Not everyone you meet deserves your whole heart and mind, however, they do deserve basic human dignity and respect, for those closer to you, they do deserve having a reliable friend who they can turn to in times of need and times of victory. Forming meaningful connections across generational divides makes us stronger as women and enriches our lives.
Soul: Mindfulness, Purpose, & Resilience
Mindfulness: Meditation, nature walks, situational awareness, and group activities keep the mind and soul well-fed and the senses sharp should the need arise for defense. Live in the moment as much as you can, rather than drift aimlessly through life without a plan of attack. Spontaneity can still exist here, as you should have a balance of routine and flexibility.
Purpose: What drives you? Who drives you? What values are at your core? Answering these questions allows you to live a purposeful life where you are true to yourself and your community. If your values don't align with the life you're living what changes do you need to have them align?
Resilience: You don't have to make your life harder, but preparing for life's rough times through mental, spiritual, physical, financial and material preparedness is still important. Building a solid community will help with this, but ensuring you yourself have the tools and skills necessary for survival will help even more so.
Planet: Stewardship, Sustainability, and Conscious Consumption
Stewardship: Bring a bag with you on walks and hikes to collect trash and follow the old Girl Scout principle of leaving things better than you found them. Encourage sustainable practices with where you shop and invest your time and resources, and take advantage of your local parks and wild spaces.
Sustainability: Opt for natural materials in clothing, decor, & home goods. Choose materials like wood, cotton, real fur, leather, and linen rather than plastics and petroleum-derived products or "natural" materials with harsh production processes like viscose or bamboo fiber. Reduce your consumption of new products, and shop thrift or vintage where you can, and go as ecologically friendly and durable as you can afford when buying new.
Conscious Consumption: Shop local, woman-owned, small business, and fair trade products wherever you can, skip out on mega polluters like Amazon or Shien, and avoid sweatshop and slave labor wherever you can. Before making purchases, ask yourself if you truly need an item or if you're just looking for a quick dopamine hit. Mend your things if possible rather than trashing them, and opt for donation of things in good condition that no longer fit with who you are.
All in all, the Primal Chic lifestyle is attainable for everyone, and about making conscious, cognizant steps toward a more meaningful, impactful, and mindful life where you live sustainably, & self sufficiently while building meaningful community and sisterhood.

How to become more attractive?
For your new year glow up…
Tips for Becoming More Attractive
Tumblr media
• Attractiveness on the inside
You can be the most beautiful looking person on the planet, but being rude, ignorant, insecure, etc. can easily take you from a 10 to a 5.
Learn to be kind and confident.
• Smile and be yourself
This goes with the confidence and kindness point. Expressing yourself positively will naturally make you more attractive.
That being said, I am NOT telling you to smile ALL THE TIME, or laugh at every single joke, or be overly bubbly and fake. Just be happy and be yourself.
Never chase the attention of others.
If you focus on yourself, the attention and love will naturally come.
•Health is beauty
- Focus on what you put in your body (whole foods, lots of water, balanced diet, etc.)
- Exercise (strength training, pilates, yoga, biking, walking, swimming, etc.)
- Get a good nights sleep, no less than 7 hours, aim for 8-9
- Good hygiene, you want to be as fresh and clean as possible ( Stay on top of showering, skincare, hair care, oral hygiene, wearing deodorant, etc.)
Side note, but I LOVE roller oils. I use them at school, and they are so strong, they smell amazing, and I always get compliments on how I smell.
・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
Some randoms :
• Braces - A few crooked teeth are really no big deal, I am actually a firm believer that teeth give us character, but my teeth were pretty crazy… So braces definitely helped me out + I smile way more now 😽
• Gua sha + face massage/yoga - Facial massages and yoga can help sculpt your face, reduce puffiness, and smooth wrinkles. I swear by gua sha, and feel so pretty after using it.
• Get a hair cut that suits your face shape/features - Avoid hiding your face with hair. Wear hairstyles that compliment your face, and display your beautiful features.
• Use castor oil or eyelash and eyebrow serum - My eyelashes and eyebrows have gotten so much fuller, remember to have patience, and make sure the products you use are safe/not super cheap.
• Put some thought into your outfits, and choose clothes that make you feel good + find out what body type you have

♡ WEEKEND RESET
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
CLEAN YOUR SURROUNDINGS. take some time out of your weekend to clean and organize everything around you. there is nothing better than starting a new week with everything in its place, softener-scented bedding and a fragrant bedroom, right? so make sure to move your furniture around and clean every space between them. don’t forget to change your bedsheets and put a nice fabric perfume on it. 💌
PRACTICE A FEW MINUTES OF YOGA. weekends are for relaxing, just like a reset day is meant to be a selfcare day, so don’t try to do any tiring exercise to end up exhausting your body. your health requires you to keep moving, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take a break and go easy on yourself for a few days; try to do some calm and relaxing yoga to stretch your body — specially once you wake up and before going to sleep. these 5~10 minutes can make a big difference.
DO A HAIR OR FACIAL MASK. or both, if you have enough time to spend on taking care of yourself. get prepared for this new successful week by treating your body like your own temple and being gentle with yourself. use your favorite selfcare products and have the perfect spa day, acting like the princess you are! there’s nothing more energy boosting and truly relaxing as getting your entire body all clean, soft and with a heavenly smell. ♡
TAKE AN EVERYTHING SHOWER. adding to the prior topics – once you finish moving around and decluttering your space, it’s time to fully relax and give yourself some princess treatment. exfoliate your body, use your favorite liquid soap to scrub your skin with, wash your hair and shave your body (only if that’s something you’re comfortable with! definitely not necessary if otherwise).
FOCUS ON YOUR SELFCARE. after showering, use some body oil and body lotion with your favorite fragrance. do your skincare, dry your hair and use some hair oil too to get it all shiny and soft. deodorant, perfume, body splash – go out and about with your products! don’t be afraid of “wasting” them just because you’re using it to stay at home and relax. you deserve to smell good and feel like a princess at any time, without any special occasion or an excuse.
HEAL YOUR INNER CHILD. to wrap it up and finish your sunday, learn to simply relax and get comfortable with your own company. get yourself your favorite snacks, a warm blanket, your pet (if you own one) or a plushie to snuggle with and choose any comfort show/movie/cartoon you’d like to watch again. it can be anything from your childhood or simply a cozy and nostalgic media. the only rule here is that you do not choose anything with angst or with any bad feelings! you want to RELAX and feel happy with yourself. pick the cutest or funniest thing you can find and just have fun. ♡
BONUS: PLAN AHEAD. not entirely necessary for a weekend reset, but it would be nice to start your new week with everything already planned and organized, right? so pick up a planner/your notes app and write down everything you want to achieve. you can also make a list of all the things you wish it would happen in your life and start manifesting them :~) you can accomplish anything if you put your body, mind and soul into it!

Here are some tips that have helped me stay sane in the face of my body dysmorphia and disordered eating habits.
Positivity time! This one's for all the ladies out there struggling with their bodies.
Body dysmorphia causes changes to visual areas of the brain. Your brain is literally lying to you. You are hallucinating. No, seriously. This is SO SO IMPORTANT. Look, if you have an ED then chances are, you may very well have legitimate body dysmorphic disorder. Your brain may be warping and distorting the image in the mirror. It's why everyone around you keeps saying how thin you are, but all you can see in the mirror is flab. It's a neurophysiological thing. (Most of the literature on BDD seems to pertain to cases regarding the patient's facial features or similar, rather than in the context of body size in ED patients, though.)
One binge won't undo your progress. Everyone fucks up sometimes. Don't dwell, don't ruminate, just pick yourself up the next day and keep going! This applies to "binges" in the proper clinical sense, as well as 4n4 "binges" that are more aptly described as simply "overeating." I occasionally will give myself a "free day" once a month or so, or if it's a holiday or something.
If you fast and restrict, take a good multivitamin, plus a calcium supplement! I also take thiamine to be safe. Being thin and undereating are associated with osteoporosis risk later in life, so calcium is a must! You need to make sure you're getting all of the critical micronutrients your body needs to function.
Exercise, especially cardio, helps with dopamine regulation. I have industrial strength ADHD-PI, ymmv. I also find that exercise bike, walking, or even pacing constantly = STIMMY STIMMY STIM TIME STIMS, MUST STIM, MORE STIM, CANNOT BE STILL, FUCK YOUR QUIET HANDS. Again, ymmv, fuck quiet hands, all my ND homies hate quiet hands.
Strengthening/resistance exercises help prevent osteoporosis later in life. 20-30 minutes 3-5x/week of yoga or pilates is great for this!
THC gummies are pretty low calorie. Shoutout to drugs other than alcohol for not having calories! (I use cannabis and hallucinogens, not big on hard drugs though.)
If you do drink, there are low cal options, but please moderate and try to follow CDC guidelines and avoid frequent binge drinking!! Guys, susceptibility to addiction runs in families. Also, struggling with impulse control aspects of binging may cooccur sometimes with susceptibility to alcohol abuse and addiction. I like vodka with diet tonic water, gin and tonic with diet tonic water, and vodka cosmos with diet 5 cal cranberrry "juice!" White Claw and similar hard seltzers are also great. Personally, I avoid drinking alone, don't drink all that often, and take care to be responsible and cautious. Ymmv, especially if you're still in early adulthood and just now starting to really experiment with substances!
When you do eat, make sure to get enough protein and fats! Carbs, you can take or leave. No one ever died from lack of carbohydrates, oddly enough. Protein and fat, though? I've had seizures due to low blood protein (combined with an accidental double dose of bupropion, to be fair). Rabbit starvation is a thing. This is especially important to pay attention to if you're vegetarian or vegan! Egg whites, chicken, tuna and other fish, olives, chickpeas, nuts, and beans are all good low calorie sources of protein and fats. (Olives, legumes, and especially nuts are energy dense though, so moderation is key.)
Enjoy the nice, healthy, low calorie foods that you do eat. It's okay to enjoy food, even if it's safe foods like light salads or cauliflower rice with vegetables.
Seek out social support and harm reduction advice. One thing people overlook about the whole "pr0 4n4" thing is that these communities are key sources of social support and harm reduction information for people who struggle with EDs.
