Me, going through my blog and seeing I left 'He's so Buffy to me' as a tag under a pic of Scott McCall: I simultaneously understand nothing and everything
misty quigley is death. she is the one that controls who lives and who dies. she is the nurse who can heal and who can harm. sometimes she lets other people be the executioner - a girl with a knife acting as a butcher, a man with a gun acting as a detective. sometimes she lets nature take its course - a snowfall, a slippery cliff, a fractured lake. but she always she has a hand in death. sometimes she does not have full control over it: sometimes she kills and it kills her too.
So, due to the many parallels between her and Akane, Narukami being involved, and the ages (kinda maybe, I dunno) lining up, would Nanako make an appearance in P5SI?
Also, I have nothing but love for the concept, I was just curious. Thank you, and have a nice day! ^^
nanako would maybe make an appearance over a call or something in narukami's s.link at most due to yknow. being in inaba, but i imagine narukami bringing her up a lot in s.link events! p5si takes place in the 2019-2020 school year, so nanako would be a 1st year at yasogami at this point in time. just a year behind akane
Watching Dressrosa and seeing Zoro watch Luffy's colosseum battle on the screen I was suddenly hit by the fact that in a Modern AU he'd probably be the most obnoxious kind of soccer fan.
You know the one that probably picks a new favorite team every match and is only a soccer fan when they are actively watching soccer. I can honestly just imagine him screaming at the screen and being all dramatic at the team talking about honor and shit. No actual practical knowledge of soccer though.
I just think he and Mihawk would just be the kind of people that like sport in a Modern AU they are athletes themselves but they also just like competition and adrenaline and so sports. Except Mihawk atleast attempts to possess a basic knowledge of the rules and plays of sports he watches while Zoro will watch a sport he's never heard of in his life, chooses a random dude that's "got guts" and root for them so wholeheartedly you'd think he's supported them all his life.
All this to say that goth family watches the World Cup as part of "family bonding time" and
-Mihawk is rooting for 3 separate countries, the 2 that his data says are statically most probably going to win and his home country cause he has some "patriotic pride". He watches intensely but never actually reacts to anything.
-Zoro is rooting for whichever team is playing against whatever team Mihawk is repping at the moment. He has no stakes in this longterm whatsoever exceot that he gets his fill of trolling Mihawk, sports adrenaline and on the rare occasion his team wins he gets to be a smug asshole to the man who raised him 😌. He screams at the T.V so much you'd think he had money on the line.
-Perona liked the idea of styling cute matching jerseys so much so that she forgot how much she hates watching sport. She is very bored and unhappy and hopes that somehow both of them lose. She judges the outfits (the jerseys) of different countries and their coaches on a scale that only she really understands but all must suffer through.
-Shanks is there because this is the only time Mihawk will hold his hand even though he is squeezing so hard his bones might be ground to dust. (the only indicator that Mihaw is affected at all by what is happening). He's bar hopper he's used to seeing random sports he doesn't understand played on green fields running in the background of his mild buzz to drunken fool binge. He's just glad to be included.
Actually curious as to what people’s general opinion of Ozbert is in this year of 2023. Does shipping them equate to getting hashtag cancelled? Are they still The OTP of the series?? Or are they strictly Platonic Besties For Life. I do not know
It’s weird tho bc obviously if you’ve read the manga you KNOW their situation is very Complicated™️. When they were both the same age it was fine but then Oz got yeeted into the Abyss and time jumped 10 years forward while he was in there for like 3 days and suddenly Gil’s like. 9 years older than him. But then Uncle Oscar still classifies Oz as being 25 even tho he’s physically 15. And then we find out that Oz’s body isn’t even HIS it belongs to Jack so that’s messed up. AND we find out Gil’s actually not just 24 he’s OVER 100 years old bc Baskerville shit. And THEN we find out Oz is actually the true B Rabbit so that makes it so he’s probably even older than Gil is. When we get to the end of the series they’re both canonically confirmed to be hundred(s) of years old so I’m sitting here like. Well,
ALSO looking at these manga panels and official artworks and stuff from the anime I’m like
Well, there’s definitely SOMETHING going on there, that’s for sure,
The 'hatchling skins can't have scars or be zombies >:(' feels really dumb mainly because like...staff have let much more fucked up implications fly for years!
For example, Bai, owned by Limanya, is a baby Emperor in their lore. Bai has 1k likes and for good reason! The story is well written and the concept is interesting. Go read it if you haven't!
But it has the incredibly fucked up implications of three baby imperials dying, having their corpses buried together, and then fusing together into the same type of monster as Luminax.
And Bai also has a lot of likes. Certainly not the most likes ever, but enough that, if their lore was an issue, staff would've already nuked it...but they haven't.
Is staff suddenly going to start cracking down on darker stories for permababies or are they gonna sit there and be like "No zombie/scar skins because of implications >:(...but we're fine with implications if you write them in your lore :)"
Norma is objectively one of the funniest psychonauts characters though. she immediately assumes this 10 year old is the mole taking down the psychonauts from the inside and decides the best way to gather information is to stalk his dad. Ruins ford and raz’s plan to defeat maligula by being a snitch. Helped save the day by fixing the problem she caused. Is now in hell because she was wrong and all the other kids make her fortnite dance and shout go snitch girl go. Her sister got all the cool genes and now she’s stuck being an insufferable nerd. Probably says “well actually” at least ten times a day. Beefing with a 10 year old. Let’s give it up for pathetic & annoying female characters (fond).
alhaitham is such a lying liar who lies dude. acting like he and the sumeru boys gang have always been besties since forever. "that's how it's always been with the four of us" - man who has barely spoken to most of these people before he decided to team up with them to overthrow the government and regularly skips social gatherings with them. yeah right buddy ok
By Liz and Cally. What began as a single fic for the 2011 Supernatural Big Bang has become a canon-divergent universe about the hunter Ben Braeden, the ex-angelic vessel Claire Novak, and the cambion Jesse Turner.
Ever since Lucifer rose from his Cage, the very reluctant Antichrist has been saddled with enough power to decimate Hell and Heaven alike—which Jesse chooses to ignore, having spent most of his adolescence in self-imposed exile. Meanwhile, Sam and Dean Winchester have disappeared, leaving hunter-in-training Ben desperate to find them. Along the way, he teams up with Claire, who's tracking Castiel for her own purposes. After three years of searching, the two of them meet Jesse in the burnt remains of his childhood home, trying to find out who murdered his parents. As the three of them get tangled up in the apocalyptic schemes of the Queen of Hell, they'll have to decide where their trust—and loyalties—truly lie.
This verse follows SPN canon until partway through episode 6.21 Let It Bleed, but the end of that episode and everything after that—including the Season 6 finale—changes when Castiel makes a very different decision about how to defeat Raphael. With a few minor exceptions, we don't include characters or plots introduced in Season 7 or later; this series also pre-dates the reintroduction of Claire in season 10. There are absolutely no vampire juggalos.
I could see Katara recusing herself from the trial because of her personal connection to bloodbending. Is it fair that she serve as judge and jury on a trial for breaking a law that she wrote? But if that was the logic behind her exclusion, I would have appreciated a throwaway line to that effect. Otherwise it just looks like sexism…
Probably should have been more clear in my tags - I didn't want her to "lead" Yakone's trial in the sense that she's the judge and jury, but more in the sense that she's shown as a fellow figurehead... just like Sokka, Toph, and Aang were in the flashbacks. Toph actively hunted Yakone down and is present at the trial. Aang takes time away from his duties that he "typically wouldn't" to help Toph hunt him down and is present at the trial. Sokka is at the trial as a councilman and literally gives the verdict of the council.
Meanwhile Katara, the person who fought to get blood bending banned in the first place, the near single political recognition we're given of hers in TLOK, is just.... somewhere else? Had no interest in helping Toph track him down? And even if she wasn't present at the trial as a proponent or activist of some sorts, she could have been in the audience. Like you don't think she wouldn't have some bearing of interest in this case? On the outcome? Even if she hadn't said a single word, the animators could have literally just drawn her in the empty chair next to Aang in the court and that would have had far better mileage (not perfect, but better) than her simply being nonexistent in every one of those flashbacks imo.
But this is just one example. Katara's character (amongst the others) after the original series just... doesn't hit the mark for me. Sure, TLOK and other post-ATLA material will tell me she's a fighter, a healer, an activist as an adult etc but when it comes to actually showing it, such as how they did for Aang, Toph, and Sokka in TLOK... well, they don't. Katara simply doesn't get the same relevance as they did. And it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.
I'm not sure how old this ask is, and I'm sorry for not answering it sooner!
I don't think any undertale ship is 'the worst', honestly. I don't like policing what people can or can't do with fictional characters (unless it crosses an actual moral line but I'm not getting into that), and I'm someone who crackships for fun, so I really can't judge people for what dynamics they find cool!
If you want my personal opinion, though, I think shipping Undyne with any male character, self-insert or not, is just kind of in poor taste. She's not explicitly a lesbian (unlike how Alphys is canonically bi) but I still headcanon her as one so seeing her with a dude is just... very blegh to me. But, again, that's just my personal thing, and there's no reason to act like my opinion has more weight than anyone else's when it comes to shipping, y'know?
there r fics that make u insane (so amazingly good it’s removed ur sanity) and then there’s fics that make u insane (you need to fistfight the author for how they did a specific thing that caused u to rant for hours)
