My Spicy Prawn, Potato, and Sausage Parcels with Peppers and Red Onions
My Spicy Prawn, Potato, and Sausage Parcels with Peppers and Red Onions. Batten down the hatches we have almost a whole week of rain, hail, thunderstorms, and blustery gale force winds. Jersey has been pretty battered. It would be nice to think we would be seeing the first few signs of Spring but that’s island life. So, Friday night when it’s blowing up a storm it’s time to cook up a tasty treat…

The Beginning of Something - Carmy Berzatto
Pairing: Carmy Berzatto x Reader
Summary: A chance encounter with your neighbour changes everything.
Warnings: fluff, swearing, probs ooc Carmy (I've only seen season one)
A/N: I've fallen in love with someone else oops. I'm thinking about turning this into a lil mini series. I hope you guys enjoy, please let me know what you think! I love you all! xxx
The smell of burning made you swear beneath your breath as you put your glass of wine on the coffee table and you rushed into the kitchen. You groaned as you realised your dinner was definitely burning. With a sigh, you pulled open the oven, coughing as thick smoke billowed out and with a tea towel you pull out the dish.
If burning your food wasn’t enough, it also set off the smoke alarm. You winced at the high pitched noise and quickly waved the tea towel at the smoke alarm, trying to get the smoke away. When that didn’t work you opened the door to your apartment and willed the noise to stop. Thankfully, you were so high up in the building that there was only one other apartment on this floor and the owner worked all the time.
“Hey, are you okay?”
You heard a voice shout over the noise and you looked up to see a man lingering in the doorway to your apartment. You recognised the curly hair straight away, it was your neighbour, the one that worked all the time. You didn’t even realise you were crying until you wiped your eyes.
“I can’t get the alarm off.”
“Mind if I try?” he asked and you nodded with a watery smile as you let him into the apartment.
He walked into the kitchen, he wasn’t that much taller than you but he had longer arms and within minutes he managed to get the noise to stop.
You breathed out in relief, “thank you so much, I’m sorry for disturbing you,” you bite your lip, thinking he’d helped you because the sound was pissing him off.
“Oh, no, no! I don’t particularly mind but I was walkin’ past and you looked upset so,” he trailed off shoving his hands in his pockets, “I’m Carmy.”
You smiled, you knew who he was, he owned the restaurant a couple of blocks away, “Y/N,” you offered.
He nodded, a pretty flush spreading out across his cheeks as he looked over to where your dinner lay burnt and ruined. You suddenly remember that he’s a world renowned chef so you quickly throw it in the trash.
Though it was too late, he’d already seen it, so you decided to make a joke, “it was supposed to be Chicken en Papillote,” you laugh.
An indulgent smile spread across his lips, “well, it’s not an easy dish,” you knew he was humouring you so you rolled your eyes and looked at him. He laughed somewhat nervously, “okay, it’s a really easy dish. Look, I always make too much for dinner, y’know I um I could drop something off for you?” the flush on his cheeks was back.
“Oh no, really that’s okay!” you smiled, he was very sweet.
“You sure?”
“I’m sure,” you nodded, “thanks for your help, Carmy.”
He nodded with a smile, “no worries, I’ll see you around, Y/N,” he waved as he walked out of the apartment.
As it turned out, you were far too broke to order out so you settled on a grilled cheese. It was the only meal you could make without nearly burning the apartment down.
After dinner, you settled on the couch with a glass of wine to watch some trash TV, a couple of hours passed before there was a knock on your door. Concealing a groan, you get off the couch and pad across to the door, pulling it open. You were surprised by who was on the other side.
“Carmy? What are you doing here?”
He held up a dish wrapped in foil, “I er, I know you said that you didn’t want anything and that you were okay but I thought I’d bring some over anyway. You like pasta right?”
“Yeah,” you giggled, “I like pasta, thanks Carmy,” you beamed as you took the dish from him, he’d saved you twice in one night.
He nodded as he pushed a hand through his curls, “I’ll see you around, I mean it this time,” he chuckled and you shot him a wave as you closed the door.
Over the following couple of weeks, you and Carmy were hanging out regularly, only ever in bars, you’d never been inside his apartment. However, that was all going to change because tonight he’d invited you to his apartment for dinner and a movie.
You met him at the apartment he was completely revamping, you waved at Richie as he let you in, “hey, Y/N. Whatcha doin’ here?” he asked as he pulled you into a one armed hug.
“I’m meeting Carmy, we’re ordering pizza.”
Before Richie could smirk and say something lewd, you heard Carmy scoff and he walked out of the kitchen, wiping his hands on a towel, “ordering pizza? Nah, we’re not doin’ that shit, we’re making it.”
You groaned, the embarrassing memories of when you and Carmy first met ran through your head, “I don’t wanna make pizza.”
His lips quirked up into a smirk, “my apartment, my rules,” he shrugged on his jacket and you scowled as you followed him out of the door.
“Look, Carmy! Mine looks deformed compared to yours,” you complained as you pointed to his perfect circular pizza base, yours didn’t look anything like his.
Carmy burst out laughing as he flung a towel over his shoulder, failing to conceal his laughter when you glared at him and he wrapped an arm around your shoulders, “it’s okay! We can fix it; can I show you how?”
When you nodded, he took your hands in his, making you both flush as he guided you to spread out the dough and as you worked together, you quickly had something you could work with. You were spreading the tomato base that Carmy made onto the uncooked dough when he asked you something that made you pause.
“Why were you so bothered over the pizza not looking perfect?” he laughed as he took a sip of his beer and you could tell he wasn’t teasing you, he actually wanted to know.
You sighed, “I don’t know, I just get embarrassed I guess, I mean you’re such a good chef but I would manage to burn water.”
Carmy smiled as he pushed his curls out of his eyes, “I’ve been doing it all my life, Y/N. Cooking isn’t easy, whoever says it is, is full of shit,” he commented, making you giggle as you put the toppings on your pizza and Carmy slid them into the oven, “don’t worry about it, okay?”
“Okay,” you smiled, “thanks, Carmy.”
He nodded, “you have some flour on your cheek,” he laughed as he wiped it off, his blue eyes darting to your lips. You knew he wanted to kiss you but when he looked away quickly with a flush on his cheeks you knew he was far too shy.
You watched Carmy’s face as he checked on the pizza’s every now and then, the happiness on his face wasn’t hard to place. You knew he was happy he finally had someone to share this with. Someone who knew fuck all about that world.

The Wonder of a Fairy Tale Sun-An Analysis of Kingdom Hearts 3
If Twilight town’s main purpose in Kingdom Hearts 3 was to explore the intrinsic melancholy of Sora’s journey then the purpose of The Kingdom Of Corona would be to explore the joy of Sora’s journey and how he shares it with others.
The Kingdom of Corona focuses primarily on The Halfpint Trio helping Rapunzel live out her dream of seeing the floating lanterns as they act as her bodyguards. However Sora does far more than just protect Rapunzel on her quest. He acts as her friend and fairy tale guardian encouraging her to stop and smell the roses, to feel the joy of the world outside her.
Heavy parallels are drawn between Sora and Rapunzel with him remarking that he felt the same uncertainty and wonder as her when he first left his Islands. Both Sora and Rapunzel dreamed of seeing the outside world. And while Sora’s dream was tainted by the forces of Darkness he vows to make Rapunzel’s dream come true, fulfilling the same role as Doanld and Goofy did for him in his first adventure. He pushes Rapunzel not to run away from the darkness of the outside world but instead to face it head on, fighting alongside her against the heartless and teaching her to take her power into her own hands through the team attack Tangled Twist. Most importantly Sora encourages Rapunzel to slow down and truly experience the wonders around her. Throughout the team’s journey to the Kingdom there are several different Side quests that pop up. You play with Rapunzel in the water, blow the dandelion, watch a rainbow, save some adorable bunnies, and meet a new kind of bird. All of these quests, of course, are not necessary for the overall goal of seeing the lanterns, however that doesn't make them any less important. These detours are what brings joy to her fairy tale story.
The game even encourages the Player themselves to slow down and enjoy the level like Sora and Rapunzel. The world is littered with hidden chests and lucky emblems for them to find. The Player can go back to Rapunzel's Tower to find a chest with the rare Armor piece, Mask Rosette, which serves as a great boon for upcoming boss fights against Grim Guardians. Or they can explore the docks of the Kingdom before joining in the festival inorder to find the rare cuisine Sea Bass en Papillote+ which sports amazing stat buffs. Most importantly however, if the Player chooses to do all four of Rapunzel's side quests they are rewarded with the rare and one of the kind accessory Forest Clasp. An accessory that can only be obtained if the player manages to complete all of Rapunzel’s side quests before bringing her to the Kingdom as the item itself is ultimately symbolic of the World's philosophy, “To stop and smell the roses”. Shown best through the ability HP Walker which restores HP with every step.
In Contrast to Sora, Marluxia, and by proxy The True Organization XIII, acts as a force of stagnation and ignorance. They do not seek to understand the people of this world nor do they wish to enjoy its simple beauty. Instead Marluxia only focuses on his mission and how he can use the world to fit the Organization's Goals. He makes no effort to form connections, only using Mother Gothel as a pawn for his machinations and then discarding her once he can no longer use her. He never once ventures out to experience what this fairy tale kingdom has to offer, never joining the festival nor taking the time to watch the floating lanterns. No instead Marluxia stays in the shadows, incurious of what lies beyond him. And when he does interact with the world it is to impose his will upon it and destroy the joy of others. Marluxia wishes to return Rapunzel to her tower, to destroy her connections to the outside world and leave her a prisoner of Gothel’s greed. He does not care about what she wants, does not respect the love and happiness she found with Flynn, nor acknowledge her growth and autonomy as a person. Marluxia’s goal is to undo all the good Sora has done for Rapunzel in order to return her to what she once was, an infantilized and objectified child to be used by those that have kept her captive. In order words Marluxia wishes to transform Rapunzel into another Namine. But Marluxia fails. Rapunzel will not become another bird in a cage. The happiness and love Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Eugene Gave her is too strong to be broken, and Rapunzel's heart shows her the truth of her real family forever breaking the poisonous influence Mother Gothel had over her. Marluxia did not respect The Kingdom of Corona nor its people. He made no effort to appreciate it. So in the end the word thoroughly rejected him and his influence. Shown best as the heartless he creates from Gothel’s ugly heart, the ultimate manifestation of his and Xehanort’s will on the world, is destroyed By Sora, the one who earned the world love and trust by simply stopping to take a breather and pay his respect to those around him.
Ultimately all journey’s must come to an end and as the gang finally reaches the Kingdom Rapunzel leaves the party of good and returns all her items back to Sora. Rapunzel's absence is felt by both Sora and the Player as not only is he no longer in the party during revisits to the world but her team attack Tangled Twist is permanently lost. So that begs the question, why does Sora care so much about spreading joy to those he shares his adventures with if they are inevitably going to leave him? And the answer is simple, it is exactly because the good times are going to end that they must enjoy their time together while it lasts. Sora knew that his time spent with every new friend is Finite. That eventually he will have to say goodbye. Even Donald and Goofy will eventually leave him once they reach their journey's end. So instead of wallowing in self pity he chooses to celebrate his time together with others as best he can, forming wonderful memories with all those he meets so that when he has to say goodbye, the happy times they spent together will remain in their hearts. And we see this through Rapunzel as her final moments of Joy with Sora remain etched in her heart through the mini game, Festival Dance, which she continues to play even when Sora is gone.

Where could you see Alastor setting up his eatery if not Cannibal Town? He may keep his meals free of mystery meat, but there is the safety factor of being in a friend's territory.
For some reason I think he'd keep it small. Restaurant feels too big a title. So... Eatery. :}
Vox is banned from all Royal Properties, Alastor's side project included, and Alastor doesn't officially allow the BeeEats service so he can't even order on the sly. He'd be lying if he said he didn't care.
Yeah, I think he'd make it something small and quaint too. Not like a Michelin 5-star restaurant but the kind of place that attracts a solid number of regulars and hosts live music. It definitely has that rustic vibe Alastor is so fond of and several nods to the bar where Nicaise taught him to play the piano. There's a wall of banned customers and Vox's portrait was up there before opening day on a 18" x 24" gold-framed canvas with a plaque reading, 'Idiot Box.' And then there are a few dozen smaller photo prints of the various VoxTech employees who have been sent to get takeout on Vox's behalf only to be stopped at the door. Vox 'settles' for having his personal chef try to recreate Alastor's pompano en papillote, but it's not the same...
As for its exact location, it's a little hard for me to pick out a specific area to place it. One of the mods (don't remember which) of @nunalastor did a pretty good analysis of various scenes of the layout of Pentagram City and how they contradict one another, which lead to a pretty cool collective headcanon that the city actually rearranges itself. (If I'm able to find the post I'll come back later and link it). As far as I know this is because Vivienne cared more about setting up good-looking scenes than mathematically calculating the smallest detail of her fictional world. I'd say Alastor would pick out an older neighborhood far from the Vees' entertainment district or Carmilla's industrial zone and probably not terribly far from Cannibal Town itself. As for safety, he'd keep a number of those doll-like phantoms hidden on the premise to keep an eye out for trouble when he's not present to defend the eatery himself. Any corpses made in such incidents get delivered straight to Cannibal Town.

@redlips-blooddrops-deux ask continued
Getting affection from her always really put him in a good mood. It was so odd how she made him feel this way, Kamui didn't really understand it. All he knew though is that he liked putting a smile on her face.
Happy he may be about her agreeing to eat the food he cooked, Kamui saw that saddened smile Lilith would wear. He wasn't sure why she had that expression on her face. He starting thinking he could've been at fault. Maybe she had something else she'd rather be doing....?
Although, she would've said so. Wouldn't she? Honesty was a big factor in their relationship. Lilith usually mentioned whenever she was busy.
''I thought maybe you'd like something....french? So I learned some stuff I could make from that place.'' He'd pull her by the hand before they'd be in front of the table full of meals he put work into making himself.
Croque monsieur, Salmon en papillote, and Bouillabaisse, then Paris-brest as a dessert all waited on the table. Kamui clearly put a lot of effort into this.
''Going to be honest,'' He'd just rub the back of his head with a laugh,
''I don't know how to pronounce the names of any of this stuff. French is.... a really hard language. For me anyway. I hope you like the meals though. If there's anything you don't like let me know, so I can keep it in mind for next time.''
#IC. Kamui#| Kamui x Lilith | Love and Loyalty | redlips-blooddrops-deux |#( ur response had me choked up couldn't help myself )#( although when she was assuming kamui was a better person than her i'm just like 'lmao girl he's really not' )
