Apparently I do recs now: Borrowed Time (Dronarry)

I've never wrote a fic recommendation before but the more I read the more I feel that screaming in the comments and leaving kudos is not enough. So, here's my first rec and it couldn't be more fitting the fact that is from @the-starryknight, the first person that welcomed me into this fandom two years ago and made me feel at home. So here we go:

Borrowed Time || E || 8k || by @the-starryknight

Harry finds himself in quite a dire situation, waking up in the wrong bed and in the arms of his best friend's lover. From there is a wonderful trip and, even when the tag says #PlotWhatPlot, I believe that there is a plot in the way Harry gets from a panic attack to extremely horny to 'I guess I could get used to this'. If you like fun, soft and sexy fanfics, this is your cup of tea.

This fic is part of the @dronarryfest and before it, I didn't know I could like Ron. I'm a Drarry girl, most specifically a Draco girl, but this fest has made me want to jump into Ron's lap and purr like a cat. The established Dron (is it Dron? I'm new here, so I don't know what I'm supposed to be calling RonxDraco, sorry) is something I've realized I enjoy very much and if you read this, you would too. In such a small amount of words, Starry portrays a wholesome, spicy, and tender relationship between those two. The cheeky way in which they drag horny overthinking Harry into their hands is amusing. The way Starry portrays the duality of Draco, soft and caring with Ron, and teasing and bickering with Harry is amazing, giving our beloved slytherin a dimension I always crave in his characterization. Harry is a panicking horny mess and who can blame him for that. And finally, Ron, cheeky bold Ron who's sure about himself and what he wants. I want a Ron, I need a Ron, and the way is written here is spot on. So, folks, go read it and let me know what you think about it. Is a short, well-written piece with amazing witty comments that I assure would leave you with a big smile on your face.

my year in fic: 2024!

Thank you so much for tagging me @sitp-recs! I loved putting this little roundup together. I struggled a bit this year, creatively - I think because I had such a massive output in 2023 (226k words 😱) I was going through burnout and also feeling like I couldn't quite live up to the longfics I had posted the previous year. But putting this together, and realising I've written 120k words, I'm actually really surprised - and happy! I've done a real mix of pairings, too.

I look forward to 2025 - I'm planning to take part in Kinkuary again, and I have a few other projects up my sleeve including my first Drarry (long) 8th year fic, a collab, and a follow-up fic to a Drarry I've already published. I'm determined to go into next year with a clear and positive head and continue to stick to writing (and sharing!) what I love!

“Potter,” Malfoy says, sitting down next to him at breakfast. “I think we should have sex.”

Starting with this one because it's fairly recent and I don't think I've shared it here! Malfoy expresses scepticism about Harry's sexual prowess. Harry is having none of it.

Keep your hands on me (Drarry, E, 21k)

Malfoy binds himself with a sex curse. Harry cannot get enough (but would much prefer to keep Malfoy for himself).

Still the filthiest thing I've written imo – it's 21k of smut and I didn't self-censor at all, but I ~think~ I consider it porn with character development rather than pwp. I wrote the whole thing in a daze, which is my favourite way to write when the muses allow – and to my absolute astonishment (I was sure it was going to get hate), it tends to get my favourite comments too. ​‎‎ㅤ

Just a trial run (Drarry, E, 9k)

Potter in his living room was a novelty and Draco could not take his eyes off him. He fixed both of them a drink, handed Potter his Firewhisky, then sat on the sofa. “From Saviour to Auror to whore,” he said. Potter choked on his drink. “Tell me, Potter, how does that happen?” In which Harry wants to get into sex work and Draco would prefer to keep him for himself.

I'm very fond of this fic and this Draco. I wrote it while I was working on KYHOM because I wanted to try a somewhat similar premise with the opposite dynamic, with top Draco and a more submissive Harry. It has both a paid sex kink and alcohol kink, which I have no idea where they came from, and while I've been postponing doing some proper edits on the second chapter, I absolutely loved writing it. ​‎‎ㅤ

Trouble with your tie, Potter? (Drarry, E, 6.7k)

The last thing Harry expects when Slughorn partners him up with Zabini is Malfoy shooting them furious looks throughout the whole class and then unceremoniously snogging Harry in the corridor.

My Erised fic from last year! I was actually working on something else entirely, a much longer fic that fizzled and died on me halfway through. I have a self-imposed rule that the energy of a story has to be right and has to be such that the story drives itself – and, specifically for fic, that if I don't enjoy writing it, there's no point in doing it. So when writing a fic becomes a slog, I just go back and delete mercilessly. It still didn't help in this case though x_x, so I started writing "Trouble with your tie" instead, which was an absolute joy to work on and I'm so happy I did. There are some parts I still think I'll probably rewrite at some point, but I really loved writing H and D's dynamic here. Even though I don't agonise over my prose when I write fic, I am super careful about the energy I'm putting out and especially the feeling I'm leaving the reader with at the end, so I'm really happy they hit the mark in this case. ​‎‎ㅤ

Not very gallant (initial Dronarry but endgame Dron, E, 3.3k)

“He likes it when I hurt him,” Harry tells Ron with a smirk. “And then you come in and soothe him.”

I wanted to include a non-drarry fic so here's a very recent one! I think I probably could have done more with it, but I loved writing Ron in this. Please mind the tags!!! Everything is super undernegotiated!!! It's endgame Dron, but Harry is perfectly fine with it. I should also probably mention that Harry is a bit of an asshole in this fic compared to the way I usually write him, but because I usually write Drarry and wanted this to be endgame Dron, I had to find a way for the dynamic to be in character, hot, and sexually charged, but not in a way that made me ship drarry too much. I'm also usually not good with threesomes or poly relationships because I always feel like someone is left out x_x, so I tried to put my own spin on it. This is what worked for me and I loved writing it! Do not expect considerate behaviour for like... most of it though.

Summary: When Draco had started The Malfoy Fix, he'd expected plenty of fashion-disaster(s) clients and had figured having an open-door policy was good for business. Although, catering to celebrity-Aurors Harry Potter and Ron Weasley was not on the agenda.

Dressing up Potter and Weasley was more humorous than Draco had initially thought. It was also just as nerve-racking. It was true that initially, Weasley had been the one who was more than willing to pick fights with Draco; he was also the one who now actually listened to Draco, trying on whatever outfit Draco would pick out. Potter, on the other hand, questioned everything. "Why does he get the dark blue? I like dark blue." He always wanted to try whatever Weasley was trying and would give clothes selected for him to Weasley. "Purple's not really my colour." "It's not his size." "I'll spell it to fit over Ron's body." At that, Weasley had smirked. What was even worse was that they never left the room to go and change. They didn't even turn around or wait for Draco to turn around. For days, Draco had to endure Potter and Weasley getting naked in front of each other, their playful flirting, finding reasons to touch each other, and on the final day, Draco had to even break off the pseudo-wrestling match they'd initiated on the sofa because Weasley wanted to wear a silk scarf Draco had picked out for Potter. It was ridiculous. It was too much for Draco to handle, and he'd been right, there hadn't been enough Galleons in the world for Draco to endure all of this and come out unscathed. He was also absolutely, utterly jealous.

The Last Star Falling

Happiest of birthdays to my lovely friend @sweet-s0rr0w. It's not quite the Dronarry I wanted to write for you, but there's Drarry on holidays and a bit of bisexual Ron action if you squint! Your writing is exquisite and I'm so glad we got chatting over a shared love of NT properties and evocative European holiday destinations 😂

CW for drinking, terrible wedding music, and a bit of jealousy (plus implied sex in the same room as Ron). And I suppose this fits the @drarrymicrofic prompt - (Weasley is our) King! Rating - M for mild sexual content. Unbetaed.

Harry wakes to the sound of Seamus's voice from outside the open window. "Grand day for a wedding," he's saying to someone, and he sounds gleeful, and it is, it really is, because when Harry rolls over in the bed and cracks an eye, all he can see through the gap in the curtain is a vivid opening blue, like the summer sky might go on forever.

Harry is dry-mouthed, slightly queasy from the night before, bones already heavy with the heat of the day, but Malfoy tweaks the sheet off him and pets his hair sympathetically, and tells him it's nothing some bacon and eggs won't fix, and then presses Harry over onto his side and strokes him until he’s hard, and it's almost too hot with Malfoy behind him breathing unevenly into the back of his neck, and Harry can feel the drumming of his pulse in his temples. He’s not sure he'll be able to come at all, so when he does it's like a lovely surprise, creeping up on him with a slow uncurling heat from nothing but slow lazy thrusts into the circle of Malfoy's fist.

It's still early, he thinks; he can tell from the low light climbing the wall and the quiet heat of their room. Malfoy bites down on his shoulder and comes in a rush of breathlessness over the base of Harry's back and then says, "Mmm. Breakfast?" brightly, like the horrible morning person he is.

They make it down to the dining room just in time for the end of service. There are Irish people everywhere, all looking far too fresh considering the night before, and Seamus is covered in new freckles, and his nose is peeling, and he can’t stop smiling. He puts away two plates of fry-up and a pot of tea, and Malfoy sits across the table next to Neville and smiles around his coffee cup at Harry.

The church doesn’t look like any Harry has ever been to in England. It sits squat at the top of a cliff, bleached by sun, bare bones of columns rising to the sky. Inside everything is gold, and the altar groans with tapestries, and the end of every pew bristles with bouquets of lavender, and the sultry smell of incense fights against the sea breeze through the open door.

Harry and Malfoy beat some of Seamus’s cousins to a back pew, and when the other Gryffindors arrive they shove in too, and Harry fans himself with the order of service and thinks about Malfoy in the sea, hair plastered to his skull, eyes shut, face upturned to the sun, all that skin bared to the shifting diffuse underwater light.

They follow along with the kneeling and the standing and the sitting, and Seamus makes everyone cry with his vows, and then everyone stands to sing, and just as the church is ringing with a hymn, Harry feels a hand on his shoulder and the smell of suncream and fresh smoke, Tell out my soul goes the hymn, and it’s Ron there, late for the wedding that he wasn’t even supposed to be able to get to, but he’s there anyway, after eight months away, a fresh burn scar just under his left ear, and his hair is longer, and he puts his arms around Harry like he came all the way from Romania just for that, which might actually be the case.

Harry wonders if everyone who’s been through a war feels constantly surprised by joy like he is, and before he can do much more than hug Ron back the bells start to ring, echoing back through the crescent of the cliffs, and they file out of the church in a crush of lavender and warm bodies, and Harry has Ron ahead of him and Malfoy behind him and the sky is still the same hectic unblemished blue of Ron’s eyes.

There are fifteen speeches at the wedding party, Muggle microphone passed from hand to hand, and there are more prayers, this time over the food, though no one seems very devout about any of it. Harry eats salted cod in cream, and Malfoy orders bottle after bottle of Muscat for the table even though he hardly drinks at all usually, and he’s quieter than normal while Ron and Harry talk. By the time the music starts they’re already a bit drunk from wine and sun. Harry hadn’t bothered with a jacket anyway, and Ron opens one button and then another at his throat, and Malfoy’s pale linen suit is soft and crumpled from heat, and he has the beginning of fresh sunburn across his nose.

“You’re edible,” Harry tells him as they dance. “You look like dessert.” And he does, sugared almonds and pistachios and set cream, and he tells Harry to fuck off in a pleased voice, and his mouth under Harry’s tastes rich and fruity from the toasting port. Seamus barrels between them mid-kiss, tie wrapped around his head, shirt translucent with sweat, bellowing we’re halfway there, woah!, and Ron is doing air guitar with one of Dean’s brothers, and the priest, red-faced and jovial, dog collar cutting into his jowls, is dancing a complicated-looking jig with Seamus’s mum.

Harry doesn’t know whose idea it is to get in the swimming pool, but the water is a delicious and shocking, and the stars are out, furiously bright, and Ron has more scars—chest and arms and back—and the shine of dragon burns are livid against the older tendrils of creeping scars from the night in the Department of Mysteries, and Harry catches Malfoy looking curiously while Ron, dripping wet in just his underwear, chats up a waiter.

The music finally stops but then the wedding guests start the singing, mournful and triumphant and everything in between, Oh Mary, this London’s a wonderful sight; By a lonely harbour wall, she watched the last star falling; Long, long ago in the woods of Gortnamona. Harry is squeezing water out of his shirt and Malfoy is trying to find another slice of wedding cake, and Ron puts his arms around them both and says, “It’s a beautiful night for flying,” and Malfoy shivers and says quietly, “I was just thinking that.”

They don’t, of course, not with the Muggles about, and anyway there’s also the matter of all the wine, and Ron looks exhausted from the last-minute Portkey and all the dancing. There isn’t a room left in the hotel so he comes back to theirs, and it’s cramped and overwarm and perfect with him there. He lies down on the couch and his face smooths out into sleep almost straight away, and Malfoy opens the big window out as far as it’ll go, carefully avoiding looking at Ron at all.

Harry’s almost asleep when Malfoy whispers, “I didn’t know he was—” and then stops abruptly and turns away from Harry in the bed.

“That he was what?” Harry asks, alert to a new sort of tension.

“With the waiter,” Malfoy says. “That he was into… that.”

“Men?” Harry asks, thinks about Ron’s generous mouth, the span of his shoulders, the self-conscious flex of bare bicep, those big hands. “He’s relaxed about that stuff. Not just men. But yeah, men too.”

“Okay,” Malfoy says. “Okay. That’s nice.”

“Is it nice?” Harry reaches an arm across the bed, pulls Malfoy towards him, his chest to Malfoy’s back . “I saw you watching him, you know.” He runs a hand low and possessive over Malfoy’s stomach, feels the twitch of muscle, the nudge of Malfoy’s cock.

“I thought I was imagining it, before,” Malfoy says. “The way he looked at us. I wondered if he was jealous, maybe.”

“Yeah.” Harry’s not imagining Malfoy’s breath coming quicker. “He gets jealous sometimes. I don’t think he would have expected that you might be looking back though.”

“Harry.” Malfoy’s voice is thin. “Please.” His hip twitches forward, knocks against the inside of Harry’s wrist. “You know I wouldn’t ever… I wouldn’t do anything…”

“You’re going to have to be quiet for me,” Harry whispers. “You don’t want to wake him up.”

Malfoy half turns so he can get to Harry’s mouth with his own. In the glancing light of the moon through the window, Harry can see that Malfoy has his eyes shut tight. Across the room, Ron’s breathing catches and quiets into a soft sigh.

It’s my birthday! Celebrate with me by reading my top favorite fanfic discoveries this past year. (Feel free to flail with me in DM’s!) I feel so lucky to have found so many wonderful talented friends and amazing stories! 

1. flour and flesh by foxglovetonic (nocturn) Hermione x Pansy, wc: 666 rating: M

(Mind the tags) This sapphic horror fic gripped my soul from the moment I read it and it lives rent-free in my head because of its amazing imagery and masterful use of unreliable narrator. I’ll be forever creeped out by carving pumpkins and pie (but in the BEST way, I swear!) This is the #1 reason Halloween is my fav. 

2. Usually by @lumosatnight Percy x Oliver, wc: 1k, rating: E

What’s not to love about banter, chess as foreplay, and stripping down until there’s nothing left but heart-pounding hot AF sex? This pairing is fantastic, and Lani’s writing is on point, as always, and I was incredibly impressed by the real live chess match taking place in the background. Read it, you won’t regret it! 

3. drink up, boys by @emilyrickman gen work featuring Parvati Patil, wc: 1.5k, rating: M

(Mind the tags) I URGE you give this gripping revenge story a chance! Between Parvati’s confidence and the absolute heartbreaking and empowering ode to sisterly love, this story gave me goosebumps. Emily is such a great writer, and I can’t stress enough how well the feels come through on this one. Also, give the song What It Means To Be a Girl by EMELINE a listen as you read, it will elevate the whole experience! 

4. One Woman’s Trash by @nanneramma Lavender x Hermione wc: 2k, rating: T

My friend Nan can do it all, and I don’t care that coffee shop AU has been done a thousand and one times before, THIS is the one to read! Lavender is to die for in this, and the fluff is pure, gourmet sweetness. It will have you kicking your feet and squealing by the end. 

5. Head Over Heels by @vdoshu Narcissa x Mrs. Zabini, wc: 575, Rating: M

This itty bitty fic is singlehandedly feeding my Narcissa Mommy delusion. I want her to step on me SO BAD! Ugh. Doshu packs a punch with every story, and the punchline of this one is sure to have you gasping like a beached fish. Please come scream at me about it if and when you know what I mean. 

6. Welcome, Peasants by @fluxweeed Draco x Ron x Harry, wc: 15k, Rating: E

It was nearly impossible for me to pick just ONE of my favorite fics from Dronarry fest this year, but I narrowed it down to two. Strap in for an hour and immerse yourself because the payoff is WORTH IT!  This one blends the juicy polyjuice trope with a healthy dollop of mistaken identity and a pinch of jealousy. Better yet is the twisty reveal and the absolutely smut-tastic finale that follows.

7. For I Have Found Salvation by @lumosatnight Severus x Harry, wc: 7k, Rating: E

…Which brings me to my SECOND Dronarry fest pick from this year, and I love it so much because it’s all banter and hypotheticals. Draco and Harry are a couple, but Draco and Ron share a car ride where it comes out that maybe they’ve been considering a three-way with Ron. They don’t even fuck, but the tension of them just talking about it is too hot to handle. Bonus: There’s art at the end! 

9. Mistletoe Mojito by @amethystheart2421 Sybill x Severus, wc: 3k, Rating: E

This fic knocked me flat on my ass. This lust potion fueled one-night stand fic had me laughing and crying (from hilarity and absurdity and sadness) all at once. Such delightful writing, and the perfect example of crack taken seriously. 

10. All That Is Beautiful, Burns In The Making by @sailtomarina Narcissa x Bill, wc: 8k, Rating: E

Narcissa is hot. Bill is hot. We all know this from canon, but imagine they get together and how much hotter they are as a couple! This fic contains such delights as werewolf Bill, seduction, forbidden love, infidelity, knotting, endless refractory periods, voyeurism, rough sex, and mating. It’s not quite A/B/O but it has a lot of the elements that make it such a juicy AU.

11. A Perfect Answer by @p1013 Draco x Harry wc: 9k, Rating: E

Downton Abbey AU. Harry is Draco’s valet and the love is very much forbidden. Contains: pining, jealousy, decorum, emerald cufflinks that Draco favours, and BATHS. Something about it reminds me of Jane Eyre, though I know that’s a different time period and there’s no crazy wife in the attic. I loved this fic so much because it was a well-written AU and it brought a breath of fresh air to an old favorite otp. The angst is divine, and the ending is such a lovely payoff. Enjoy!

Dronarry Fest 2025 Rules and Guidelines

Dronarry Fest is a fic and art fest specifically dedicated to the characters of Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter, either as a triad (Dronarry) or as pairs (Drarry, Dron, Ronarry). All works must feature all three characters in significant capacity either as romantic interests or in a platonic dynamic of some description. This is a non-anon fest!

You do not have to be creating in the fest to send in a prompt.

Remember that this is a Dronarry fest, and all ship requests must include Dronarry, Dron, Drarry, and/or Ronarry. No other ships are permitted unless they are minor.

We allow self-prompting. You may submit your desired prompt and then take your chance claiming it (with the risk that someone else may snatch it up before you), or you can fill in the special box for self-prompts once claiming opens.

This is an 18+ fest. Please do not sign up if you are under the age of 18 at the time of submission (February 20th 2025).

You may only claim one prompt at a time. If you finish your prompt, you may claim an additional prompt, but you must submit your first prompt as per submission guidelines first.

Claims will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

You may claim for different fanwork types at the same time, either as an individual or as a collaboration (e.g. art + fic).

Collaborations are welcome! Please only submit one form per collaboration work and include details of all participants. Collabs can be illustrated fics, multi-author fics, multi-artists artworks, etc.

If you wish to create based on an existing fanwork, please submit as a self-prompt. You must ask for the original creator’s permission before submitting. We will trust you to honour this and only ask for proof in case issues arise. As proof we would expect written consent, or a blanket permission statement from the original creator either as a link or screencap.

Creating

All creations must feature either: Dronarry (Draco/Ron/Harry), Drarry (Draco/Harry), Dron (Draco/Ron), or Ronarry (Ron/Harry), or a mixture of the listed ships. Any other ships must be minor.

All creations must feature Draco, Ron, and Harry as main characters.

Minimum of 1k for fics, with no maximum wordcount. For podfics, the recorded story should be a minimum of 1k words, no maximum.

All fics must be proofread by a beta. Podfics must be proofed before submission. If you do not have a beta, please contact the mods (dronarryfestmods@gmail.com) or send us an ask and we can put a call out for a beta for you.

Please tag your works appropriately and sensitively. We want this to be a fest for everyone to feel safe and included and that means being mindful with your warning tags. If you’re not sure about how to tag something, please let the mods know and we can help. Please also note that we reserve the right to review your tags and add any additional tags to your works. We will always let you know what these tags are.

This is a non-anonymous fest, so feel free to share snippets of your work in the run up to posting!

Submissions must be complete works created for Dronarry Fest. Please do not submit incomplete works or works that are part of a series or a prequel/sequel to an existing work, unless it is a remix.

We encourage you to be inspired by prompts’ additional details, but it is not a requirement to incorporate them into your creation. You are not required to abide by any mentioned dislikes. However, if you plan to gift a creation to the prompter, we may disallow this if you ignore stated dislikes. Please tag your work appropriately.

You are required to add dronarryfest_mod as a co-creator when uploading your creation. This is so that we can change the posting date, check the submission, and add a tag for Dronarry Fest 2025. We will not make any other changes to your work, and we will remove the mod account immediately after the fest has ended.

FAQs

Are other ships allowed?

Theoretically, yes, but they must be minor. Dronarry, Drarry, Dron and/or Ronarry must be the main pairing and focus of your work. You can pair Draco, Ron, and/or Harry with other characters, but these must be background relationships and the story must be centred around one or more of the ships listed above.

Is this an 18+ fest?

Yes, this fest is only open to creators over the age of 18 at time of submission (February 20th 2025).

thank you so much for the ask, this was SUCH fun to do!

C: a ship you've never liked and probably never will.

my main ship is harry/draco, so i'm always very very picky with ships featuring either of them with someone else. i have (very occasionally) read fics featuring other ships with these characters (thinking of some delicious harry/charlie, even some harry/ginny and draco/astoria & have been a HUGE fan of some harry/draco/teddy and the recent dronarry fest) but i don't think i've read anything that isn't endgame drarry in some form, and i don't think i ever will. the only ship i can think of that actively squicks me and i don't think i'll read in any version ever is draco/hermione— it just doesn't do it for me at all!

K: which character has your favourite development arc/the best development arc?

in hp canon, i personally think harry himself? he was one of my favourite protagonists to follow in any book series, and i think seeing him getting much angrier, much wearier post-gof, much more aware of the expectations upon him and how he was being used as a tool in vaster games was both heartbreaking and really compelling.

in hp fanon, i mostly LOVE what my favourite authors & fics do with the slytherins, mostly draco, but also pansy. some of the most brilliant and interesting reckonings with their role and complicity and guilt in the war are rendered in fanfic and it never gets old! i LOVE watching the slytherins grow up into more complex, interesting, (deeply traumatised) people, it's such a revelation to encounter them/live in their heads!

N: three things i wish i saw more of in fandom.

i think the drarry fandom is such a vast and nuanced fandom that it's very hard to have things you don't see much of, whether in terms of tropes, canon exploration, meta-commentary or general fan behaviour. i do wish, sometimes, that more fics engaged with politics & social commentary and the ways magic interacts with them. there's a treasure trove of fics that do this, and they're my favourite genre of fics, but i'll never say no to more and to new and interesting ways of exploring this. i also ADORE casefics and wish there were more in the drarry fandom— full of magical theory, quintessential red herrings and the difficulties of falling in love while trying to hunt down murderers and dark artefacts. again, there's an array of fics that do this and they're some of my favourites, i'm just always hungry for more! and i just can't think of a third thing, i think fandom does a brilliant job of meeting my specific needs and i love this space so much in that regard!

Let's start with DRON!

I fucking love Dron. Any iteration of Dron actually. Sixth year sneaking around Dron, Horcrux-hunt Dron, post-war Dron, Dronarry! We can all agree that Draco/Harry had a weird rivalry/obsession with each other in school. I love giving it a Dron spin though and saying Draco was actually trying to get under Ron's skin by taking digs at Harry and Hermione. They're both smart, they're both strategic, they're both purebloods, but they choose to use these traits in different ways.

Also, Draco and Ron running into each other after the war. Ron is no longer 'poor' and Draco is no longer insufferable. Instant attraction. Perfect.

Dramione is the ship that got me into fanfic. Manacled and The Right Thing To Do sucked me in immediately. I obsessed over these fics (sometimes still do). Dramione dynamics are fascinating: opposite sides of the war. Draco having to over come his prejudice. Hermione having to forgive her bully. I think the problem is, however, that I loved those initial fics so much that I can no longer picture Dramione any other way. So, I hardly seek out Dramione anymore. I'm happy to see them as a background ship though.
