You might think that the guy on the cover wearing the Wonder Woman costume might look gay in that revealing outfit. The editor of the comic book must have thought the same thing when the galley proofs appear on his desk. That would explain why in the actual issue (see below), Wonder Man/Wonder Warrior was given white tights beneath the Wonder Woman garb. He looks pretty silly either way, but with the tights they didn’t have to explain if he shaved his armpits or not.

In the story published in July 1980 issue (#349) Superman finds himself in a world where Superman is Superwoman, teamed with a blonde Superboy and a male "Wonder Woman" named Wonder Warrior. Superman realizes that he hasn't been transported to a gender-flipped world - instead it’s all an illusion by Mr. Mxyzptlk.

(Does Wonder Woman shave her armpits? If so, I’m sure DC editors made that part of the requirements for her to visit “man’s world”. But why would Amazon Warriors shave their armpits?!?)

Two years later, Wonder Woman Comic introduced a Male Amazon of its own in issue #289 & #290. Captain Wonder! Alas… he is a manifestation of the evil Dr Psycho!

This one's pretty light. Diana's difficult bc I've made her pretty central to the AU--hence the thinking of Villainy Inc as a counterpart to the JSA--but her actual history has gone to way more significant upheavals than Bruce or Clark's and she doesn't have the built in resets of Barry or Carter.

Ares' Sir Patrick Morgan persona is a little overly in-jokey: he's designed after the Azzarello era War, but he's "The Lord Maxwell" as a nod to him being the forefather to the Maxwell Lords that plague Diana across the 20th and 21st centuries. I think he might eventually become the Horseman War as well, as a big betrayal of the Olympian Pantheon as Ares embraces Apocalyptic Conflict over his own family, but idk.

I've talked about Silver Swan and Giganta elsewhere, but Dr. Psycho and Dr. Poison are just fun to draw tho.

I want a Dr. Psycho and Circe team up now! The misogynist and the Misandrist team up to stop Wonder Woman! Now wouldn't that be something!? I could also legitimately see them turning on each other and fighting to the point where Wonder Woman has to break up their fight.
