So Thunderbolts* once again inspired and gave me this interesting idea I been thinking for a Better World AU with Stan becoming the Sentry.

(Warning: Some spoilers for Thunderbolts* tho)

Set around the 80's and his homeless era, Stan meets a Project sentry recruiter, who gives him a offer that can help him.

Hoping if he can get cash from this, Stan reluctantly signs up and became one of the test subjects of the sentry project, he gets injected with the sentry serum, giving him superhuman powers but boosts up the darker half of his personality.

One night, the facility where the project was held gets raided by the FBI, but Stan got out of there without them knowing.

Some time after finds his car, Stan received Ford's urgent postcard, telling him to go to Gravity falls.

After doing Ford's request to take the journal, Stan was about to take a boat, but Rico ambushed him and knock him out, unknowing letting the Void take over temporarily and turns Rico and his goons into shadows.

Eventually, Stan wakes up, confused on what happened but come across and ending up saving a family from a on-coming truck.

Stan ended up on the news by his actions and thanks to his heroic deeds, Stan becomes famous as a superhero for hire as he continues helping people, going by the name, The Sentry.

Stan gets a manager and PR team who made him a his very own costume, but Stan declined the blonde hair idea.

Stan still keeps the journal somewhere safe so nobody finds it.

Stan does practice using his powers but finds it difficult thanks to his previous mental state, with The Void is still waiting to be released.

Unknown to Ford, he doesn't know about the whole Sentry thing until Fiddleford end up discovering Sentry by the news, and that the family Stan saved was Tate and ex-wife.
