#i was asked to help record and edit a video (via zoom)#for the state talking abt their grant#BUT i was given a turn around time of like MAX 3 hours#lemme tell u that WOULD HAVE been enough time if i wasn't also trying to get fucking captions on the damn thing#if i were just cutting the dead space editing some of the misspeaks#wld've been done in like 45 minutes tops#but i had to get captions#((spoiler alert i didnt actually finish))#the caption file from Zoom#which in theory u shld be able to upload and have it automatically sync up w/ the visual#Did Not sync up#so i was going through the whole thing trying to make captions go where they were supposed to go#as well as catching typos that AI mis-captioned#basically i think i got maybe a third of the way through in the 2.5 hours i had#then i gave up#made another version just quick cutting some of the dead space#and uploaded it to youtube for auto captioning#i'll get them a more polished version Later#i shld be paid for this honestly.....#spent more time working kn this video than my actual job today lmao

#transformers#maccadam#tailgate#ultra magnus#mtmte#lip syncing is actually a lot more fun than i expected#but tailgate's mask probably saved me like eight hours lmao#speaking of him i'm REALLY happy with how expressive he ended up being#i really didn't expect that kind of deformation to mesh well with the... uh... mesh.#so i was pleasantly surprised when it turned out as great as it did#mags' model was hard to figure out because he is SO FREAKING INCONSISTENT IN THE COMICS#but that also meant i got to cherry pick the features i liked best/that were simplest to model so... still a win#tailgate's blissfully consistent tho. his hood thing gave me a lot of trouble but i managed#this is my first time working with a lot of geometric shapes so i ran into a lot of road blocks but i did it!! yay!!

The funniest thing about the Sohm Al dungeon is that when I did it for the first time I did it with the NPC party- Ysayle, Alphinaud, and Estinien. It was all going swell but I, a dragoon main, CONSTANTLY found myself trying to outdo Estinien??

for anyone else who thought backslide sounded familiar i uh. i think i found out why
#twenty one pilots#TØP#tøp#backslide#stressed out#the drumbeats are almost _identical_#i can post the track where i laid them over each other#its fucking wild yo#also btw other than syncing up the tracks the _only_ editing i did was remove a tiny bit of silence from a bit of backslide#so the second halves lined up better#they werent even a full beat off it was just like. a quarter beat#i did the reverse too (overlaid backslides vocals on stressed out's instrumental) but it required more editing to make it sound as good#the timing doesnt work out quite as well naturally#still sounds great tho!
