Warning! Major Spoilers for Stranger Things Season Five! Exciting news for Bylers!

Two big pieces of news to report, both coming to my attention today:

1.) Jacob Collins, a Republican paparazzi figure who posts set videos on YouTube, posted a video on 29/12 in which he visited the baseball set, and reported that there were rumours going around set of a breakup being filmed there.

He’s RW so extremely unlikely to be at all hip to what bylers are speculating about… and anywY, this was 29/12, and Alex first tweeted that Mike and El were there on 28th. People were mostly confused, and it took a few days before the breakup speculation started… So this rumour most likely did come from set

2.) Ris @byrhop on twt has used AI to lipread the new extended video of the Mike/El rooftop scene. This lipread will shortly be posted, but I’ve been told that the algorithm confirmed he waw saying rhe stuff about waterfalls and villages and how too much has happened to return… but that’s not the crazy part.

The AI algorithm mostly returned gibberish, but did lipread a clear dialogue: I hope so. He’s acting very odd. He’s angry, sad, and frightened. He’s not himself…’ @starbylers is personally making a lipread analysis, and did not see the D&D stuff but I independently read almost exactly the same line: I hope so. He’s been really weird today. Angry, lying, frightened. Not himsekf. The camera loses focus for twenty seconds but it seems like they’re talking about Will in the interim.

Guys.

They’re literally talking about Will Byers in this scene. In fact, the scene itself has a mostly sombre tone, with Mike cracking a small joke at the end to lighten the mood. Mlvns truly thought it would be them planning the next stage in their relationship and yet…

Also, the s2 parallel to ‘he’s quiet today’ and the inverted s4 dynamic of Mike worrying about El to Will….

You know I actually wonder if Mike’s conversation with hopper is about everything that has happened

Final seasons supposed to be like a war right? There’s going to be a lot of death that can’t be prevented. Hawkins won’t be the same after that. Lots of people who were farmers, bankers, teachers, librarians, auto mechanics, store owners, etc. are going to die and those deaths will be felt

Mike is going to see all of that death. Heck he’ll probably come across dead bodies lying on the ground that can’t be picked up unless the person wants to try and lose a hand. There’s going to be trauma added on top of the ones he already has. It’ll be hard for him (and even many of the other characters) to get back to the life they had before the upside down

Then you have Hopper who has been through war before. He has seen the effects of it on people and has experienced it himself. He knows how hard it can be to go back to life after the battles have been finished

Mike must be struggling to get back to that life. Two years have passed and peace still doesn’t feel real. Everyone else can easily go back to the lives they had before the upside down but he can’t. He saw all of the death, destruction and pain it had caused. He can’t pretend and go on like nothing happened

Having Hopper, who has been through both this and actual war, come and comfort Mike and share his own experiences, tell him it’s ok to feel the way he is feeling cause it is hard to go back to peace when you’ve spent years in fear of you and other people you love dying is really good. It would be a great way to close off their character arcs

Mike has always bottled his own feelings up and Hopper has done the same. So having these two talk about what they’ve gone through in such an open manner, is a really great way to show how far they’ve come

Sure, it could be about a death of someone’s close to them both, I wouldn’t put it past them cause even I am a bit suspicious about certain characters dying (and also very worried). But we should also try and have some hope. We haven’t even gotten a trailer for s5 yet, so why assume a character is going to die just based on leaked bts photos of a conversation we haven’t even seen?

But whatever that conversation is about, I think it’s going to be a really good one. Hopper-Mike father-son moments have always been good

I think I've reached the truest state of delusion

So Maya posted this video on her instagram with no audio but it looks an awful lot like she's rehearsing lines and seems to be acting kinda Robin-like

But what I've just noticed is important is that she's using a dental floss

Which happens to be what appears to be the exact same dental floss that was included in one of the last bts photo dumps

The photo of the pack of floss was included in the photo dump that came after THIS content of Maya and Joe on set possibly outside the radio station

(it was literally in the same post as the Steve photo)

Now we know that we've seen Robin taking care of her dental hygiene before (oh I sound so crazy please stick with me), which was before the pep rally when she was fretting over her appearance for Vickie

So theoretically IF that video is in fact her rehearsing for a s5 scene, there's a strong chance it could have been filmed around the time of those stobin bts dumps, and Robin is having another ramble to Steve about seeing Vickie while she's making herself desirable presentable

It would also make sense because THIS FIT with the leather jacket and the belt and the fucking blue hair bow (which she pointedly seems to change into before Steve changes out of his first outfit) really looks like she's dressing to impress

BUT WAIT I'M NOT DONE YET

So let's say Robin really is dressing up and scrubbing up because she's going to meet up with Vickie. WHY then does she end up running round town going to barns with Erica Sinclair and shady labs with Mike Wheeler?? Or whatever tf she's doing with Will?? No Vickie in sight as far as we know??

Well let me remind you of this leak we got back in february (coincidentally the same day we got the pics of rovickie filming at the hospital but that's not really relevant)

So obviously this may not be true, but it's plausible from what we know about Robin's anxiety

Now this could also be incorrect, but at the beginning of the video, it looks like she could be saying "like the dream I'm having [floss] you never know"

Something we know about Vecna is that he can give people vivid nightmares, as he gave them to Max and his other victims in s4, so it's entirely possible he could continue to taunt everyone via nightmares

So Robin possibly having recurring dreams while also being paranoid about Vickie's safety, to her knowing she's meeting up with Vickie and getting ready to see her while rambling to Steve about said dreams, only for her to seemingly NOT end up meeting Vickie and going on side quests instead?

Warning! Spoilers for Stranger Things 5! Very exciting for Bylers!

I’ve alluded to this in other posts from this week, so I’m clarifying what those references were to.

In early April, a male extra playing a nurse dm’d a byler account on twitter with info - they filmed scenes at the hospital for episode 2. He disclosed plenty of information about the casting process to prove he was who he claimed to be. I can’t disclose more than that, you guys will just have to trust me on this.

He disclosed that the time jump was really several smaller ones from march 1986-winter 1987, and that we’d see scenes spanning that period. This was before the news of that came out independently in early May.

He had this to say about Will - that he isn’t present at the hospital and thus isn’t injured, that he’s a leader this season, and that he heard Will’s relationship with Mike is developing more.

As for Mike, he claimed that Mike’s development isn’t centered specifically on El or Will, but that he’s no longer trying to be normal, he’s trying to be hinself and discovering himself, and he’s trying to be the protector he once was - to who, I think we can guess….

We can’t say for certain what ‘developing more’ means, as the conversation was not pursued further. Apparently he mentioned wanting to make his own account. He didn’t go to Alex as she has made abundantly clear that she won’t share byler information, so take that for what it’s worth.

This is interesting in context of the hospital stuff, especially since I have confirmation from another source that Will shows up at the hospital last, absolutely distraught after Mike’s injury….

I’m doing a huge post tomorrow where I’ll discuss what I know as of rn about the mileven kiss, and where I try to map a trajectory for mileven and Byler over eps 1 and 2 from the little we know- which are now apparently in early post-production.

ETA: to clarify, google translation was used on the messages, hence the ‘her’ pronoun for Will. Also this guy isn’t just an extra for this one sequence - apparently he was doing more on the show. He hasn’t surfaced since so who knows.

Before I see everyone freak out that Jonathan’s dead cause he doesn’t have any promo let me tell you all one thing with my whole chest:

Jonathan rarely gets promo and merch. He’s an EXTREMELY underrated character and they give it to other more popular characters and/or groups that are GA fan favourites. Whatever we do get, it’s usually crumbs and us Jonathan fans take them cause we know it’s all we’ll get and crumbs is literally better than nothing

We do have at least one possible thing for him. Since it is super pixelated it’s hard to tell but the more I think about it, I’m certain it’s him. The hair looks a lot like his more than any other character (it’s too short to be Robin)

Anyways, please don’t jump to conclusions and think this lack of promo and merch is a sign he’s cooked. This is normal for him. Welcome to the world of being a Jonathan Byers fan!

Edit: I removed the leaked image for precautionary measures as on other sites people’s accounts were deleted and I’d rather not risk it. I still want to keep this post up as to me it is important in relation to discussing Jonathan
