Day 14: Mystic Burmball!
Last, but most certainly not least, I'm happy to introduce the only hybrid of the series, the Mystic Burmball! This was one of our longest-running breeding projects, but we're glad to finally introduce it!
Now, this thing is loaded with mystical energy, making it one of our hardest-to-care-for morphs to date. That, paired with the way this burmball seems to predict your every move, makes it a more... challenging pet. But if you can keep in stable and contained, you should have smooth sailing! This morph has been shown to be a good eater, and responds well to handling!
Oh, and yes. It is blind by nature. Don't worry, though, doesn't affect its ability to hunt one bit.

Day 13: Mahogany Python!
Now, I'm not supposed to play favorites, but... Yeah, no, this morph is my favorite. Named after the finer things in life as, well, this is definitely not a beginner morph. It is thankfully not picky in the type of food it takes, but rather the quality of that food. Store-bought frozen mice simply will not do the trick.
Still, the uppity appetite aside, the handling of this morph is quite smooth. So long as it is being cared for and handled well, it can be handled with little worry of retaliation. Just, for the love of all that is unholy, don't try and just keep this thing in a little bin...

Day 12: A lil Ghost Snake!
Just a lil ghost snake! I have to preface right off the bat that yes, you do still have to feed it. Not often, but keep up with its schedule. And yes, this morph is capable of phasing through untreated matter so make sure that your tank has glass reinforced with some sort of metal alloy. Other than that, this one's just a sweet lil dude. Enjoy!
Oh, and don't worry, it can't possess objects or living beings. Not, like, fully anyway.

Day 11: Pestilence!
Alright, me and this morph have beef.
Listen, listen, a lot of time went into making the ratios of this morph's color bandings correct. Into making the lines distinct and bright, but still integrated. Into making sure that the overlaying pattern was clear enough to be seen as a fly wing without overpowering the main pattern... All to create Burger Snake. And then?? Every test group identified it as Nacho Snake?? Imagine my grief.
Anyway, don't worry about this morph having an incomplete shed, it's part of the morph. Just make sure too much doesn't build up on the tail! And remember, this morph isn't Famine, it has quite the appetite that needs to be accounted for. Oh, and don't worry. It's not a vector for disease. Probably.

Day 10: The Poison Pied Python!
Now this is a morph I'm excited to reveal! And one of my favorite names to say! Poison Pied Python, it really rolls off the tongue well. Now, as with any pied morph, the actual coverage of markings will vary, but we've hit a fairly good sweet spot. No matter the coverage, all of our poison pied morphs can be identified by the H-shaped marking on their heads. And, of course, their potentially toxic appearance!
I know, I know, there must be some worry about the actual toxicity of this morph. Thankfully, colorful and bright though its scales may be, this morph is perfectly safe to handle. We managed to breed out all of the skin toxicity! mostly. The saliva, on the other hand...

Day 9: Jewel Python!
It's customary to immediately follow Halloween with an unrelated holiday, right? Ah, don't worry, as Valentine as this morph may seem, it has a few hidden quirks. Now, these Jewel morphs are very pretty, and they know it. They need experienced husbandry, especially during sheds, to keep up their appearance. Otherwise, this is a fairly sweet morph!
There is... a 'problem,' though. Now, to be clear, none of our morphs are venomous (probably). And the same goes for this one (maybe). But... if you happen to get bit, and you happen to feel a little... sting... Maybe just pop into your nearest quick care? Legally speaking. Otherwise, have fun!

Day 8: Jack! (Like the o-lantern)
Happy Halloween! This morph is releasing just in time for the spookiest of seasons, and comes in a few varieties for all of your seasonal needs. We've got a few more tame morphs for those of you that only want to go all out on the day of, and they will still fit into your collection once the season has passed. For those of you who believe that Halloween is a state of being, and not just a day, we have a special morph for you as well!
I expect all the best seasonal photos with these guys! Is it original to pose it with pumpkins? Nope. Is it still cute? You bet! (Besides, Jack here is a pretty friendly morph, great for handling!)

Day 7: The Cosmic Cow Shake! I mean... Snake!
Ah, this morph really is a little sweetheart! While not as easy to maintain as some of the other calmer morphs, this one is notoriously easy to handle, and warms up to its keeper fairly easily. These pythons prefer darker enclosures, but the low light makes their star-like markings even more visible!
It does have a few dietary quirks, however... While it will take frozen-thawed mice like any of our other morphs, it will also occasionally refuse to eat anything that isn't poultry, so... maybe make sure you have a farmer with some chicks they're willing to send over on hand? Yeah, we don't really know where that came from...

Day 6: The... 'Icing' Snake!
Ah, don't worry about that, it's just a bit of icing! Truly, this morph is just a little cinnamon roll (not to be confused with the sinnamon roll). Just a very sweet (pun quite intended) little python that makes for a wonderful companion.
Just, uh... don't feed it sweets, yeah? I know it's tempting, but it's probably best to just stick to frozen-thawed mice on this one. Trust me.

Day 5: Felis!
Felis is a very exciting morph that we're quite pleased to present! After many attempts for felid patterning, we've settled on a morph that we hope will fill all your cat-based needs! Though, we must warn that it seems the ornery nature of some cats seems to have persisted into this morph as well...
Also, word of the wise to any purchasing one of these snakes in their younger forms: Do not let the lack of ridges fool you! The characteristic ridges of this morph develop over several sheds, and they do make the pythons more difficult to handle until you get used to those spines poking into your skin. But rest assured, adult pythons will eventually stop developing ridges, even as they continue to shed!

Day 4: The Sunset Sinnamon Python!
This is one of the morphs we're most excited to announce! The Sunset Sinnamon python is perfect for all of your subtly spooky needs! Alongside being a less expensive alternative than its parent morph, this line of pythons is also perfect for those of you wanting a nice pet that looks completely normal! At first glance, anyway...
And yes, there are some minor reports this particular morph is of a more... devious nature, but worry not! It's just a sweet little sinnamon roll! I mean- cinnamon roll!

Day 3: The Abyssal Snake!
This is a morph that definitely requires some water in its enclosure, preferably deep enough to have a little swim in. That being said, don't worry too much about their scales drying out! They might feel soft, but they won't desiccate like other purely aquatic snakes. Make sure to give this one plenty of hides, as it prefers darker enclosures for its sensitive lil eyes.
Be warned that, while this morph is capable of a piscivorous diet, they seem very resistant to taking thawed fish. However, if you already have a small pool of water for them, they'll gladly eat a live fish if it's put into the water!

Day 2: True Spider Pythons!
Now, this morph has been in the making for a long time, but we're glad to finally present the True Spider morph! Now without all of the... less-than-desirable traits of the morph it mimics, this morph also has a few fun new features! Most notably, the exaggeration of the belly patterns into quite the webbing!
This morph is a little more on the finicky side. For some reason, certain morphs tend to be a little more bite-y than others. None in particular, though (it's the Hell Spider). Take care!

Day 1: Dubloon Snake!
Ah, now isn't this one a treasure? And the first of our line of new morphs! Now, don't let this one's fancy appearance deter you, this morph is quite low-maintenance, and makes a good starter for all of your exotic needs!
However, there is one minor quirk to watch out for... just try not to leave coins around this one. Despite this morph's attempts, their stomachs do not make good coin purses... So while you're taking your fun little pirate photoshoots, just keep an eye on it, yeah?
(Yes yes, it is time for weekly posts again while I work on other projects. Enjoy coin snake.)

Mythoscember Day 31 - The Phoenixes
Tumblr media
Here are some phoenixes to end off the year!
I remember painting these in 2019, finishing just in time to post it and head downstairs to celebrate new years... This time I'm just a liiiitle earlier
But yeah, love the augury, think she's great, less depressed than she should be but y'know, it's a good day
And that other phoenix... that true phoenix... Was supposed to be a Harry Potter phoenix. I can't tell you how much the original looked nothing like it. So I tried to redo the lines a bit before coming to terms that... yeah, this isn't a HP phoenix. It's literally just a phoenix. And then my life got easier!
So yeah!
Happy almost New Years!

Mythoscember Day 30 - Skoll and Hati
Tumblr media
USB wolves!
Ok, let me explain
I always get Skoll and Hati wrong. Every time I think I'm right, I read something else and oop, nevermind, its switched
Like trying to plug in a USB, you know?
But I still love these two... I did my best with acrylic in 2019 but THIS is what they were meant to be... I just switched around those celestial bodies and those inner glows and now they're just so so good
These two are a pain
But they're MY pain
