Anyone have an alter who helps them out just by being so out of pocket that it snaps them out of a bad mood? Cuz I had one alter trying to help talk me through a bad mood only for him to jump in.
Literal convo I just had with them:
"You know what holds you together?"
"Snorting fried chicken."
And then I proceeded to stop and go "What?!"
Bad mood solved (at least temporarily). Though I was very confused.

It's fucking funny when you start to notice the "tells" of certain alters, such as speech patterns, posture, voice pitch, accent, hand gestures, ect.
Like "wait a minute... why am I fucking man spreading like a fucking clown.... oh.... oh it's him."

Being the host of a system but not the original host and having little to no memory or knowledge of what happened before you were host is like starting a book series several books in not realizing it's a series so there is shit that happened that explains why the character (you) are doing and behaving the way you are but you have no clue what that stuff is.

I keep not knowing that others have came to the front until later when they're gone. I'll look back at certain times in the day and be like "why can't I remember anything- ohhhh waitttt" so our fronting log is all fucked up because of it and it's just so frustrating.
Some of us (me/host) are gonna start only using emojis as a sign off for our safety and so irls can't really find us because my name is pretty specific. -🦇🖤

Hi! Let's talk about dissociative identity disorder.
Commonly, the thing that is talked about the most when it comes to DID is the alters/parts. But it seems people forget that those identity states are just one small part of this disorder!
People don't talk about the amnesia and the memory loss enough, things like this? They're seemingly thrown aside! So I'm here to talk about that. Those things that people overlook.
It is beyond frustrating trying to remember what you have done less than a week ago or even just a night ago! Having absolutely no idea what has happened, whether it was trauma related or not, and even then. Would you even know if it was trauma related?
The distress that having this disorder causes is genuinely something I wouldn't wish on anyone. A simple task of just going out to fetch some food for the cupboards? Nah, you are instead just going to be hit with a different part switching in due to a response. Which causes you to backtrack, lose track of time and have no idea what you were previously doing. So the logical thing is y'know, just go home! And guess what, you never made it to the store. Losing all that time, not knowing when that first part will switch back. Who knows, it could be days. That is fucking distressing. You, the part, switching back in to find oh. It's not Friday afternoon it's now the next week, and it's mid day on a Tuesday. And you just have no idea what happened. - August

Watching a headmate change in such a heartbreaking way
Getting personal here , Jasper has gone from being the centre of a lot of positive romantic feelings and platonic / queerplatonic joy to ... Just pain and grief
There's no cause other than our trauma and discovering certain aspects of our childhood
And watching the shift from a long list of likes to "Idk anymore" and the sudden emptiness and darkness of moon's subsystem...
Not everything about DID is happy. It's not just "haha i have a friend in my head". There is pain and grief in this disorder some people can never truly grasp

Im watching a video of DID (i just like to watch informative videos) and hes talking about 'cores' and 'only being normal if you have 10-15 alters' and 'it usually only happens to women' wich is upsetting. Hes also saying that theres another case of DID that is just so unreal sounding. Like he basically said imposter syndrome but as if it was DID. And he was kinda just talking about DID as if its fake and not real. Idk i stopped watching bc i like to be happy

(No i dont agree with anything hes saying)

Here's some classic conversations I've had while trying to deny being a system
*sees a few systems talk about a symptom I don't experience*
"So obviously I'm faking and am not actually a system."
"What are we, roaches?" (Very much in the same tone as that one audio)
Also, the classic:
"You guys aren't real."
"You just referred to us as 'you'."
"Okay, but-"
"Why are you arguing with me if I'm not real then?"
"..."
And also:
"You're just in my head."
"Yeah, no shit. That's how this works, dumbass."
(I have also just now realized all these convos were with the same headmate. I'm pretty sure she is getting sick of my shit)

The media lies to you. The true horrors of systemhood is how many sideblogs you end up with.

nobody talks about how it feels to look around a place you’ve supposedly lived in for years and only vaguely know where you are and who these people are. pretending that your heart isn’t in your shoes as you try to act like everything’s fine because if you said anything you’d be called crazy. pretending to get the inside jokes passed between you and practically strangers. not knowing how you got there.
