So, I think most of us have seen the AU where Danny joins the Goonion as a representative to get them their benefits

And I think we all gloss over the fact that there is another Union for Villains around. The Flash Rogues Gallery! They have Rules, Payouts, punishments, traditions, everything!

I can see a world where Danny joins the Flash Rouges Union as an enforcer of the Rules. Like he is there when they beat the shit out of Inertia for tricking them into killing Bart Allen, or he is the one who punishes Trickster when he breaks the “No unnecessary harming of civilians unless for revenge” Rule.

He is the one who keeps them in line, and he has a similar relationship like the Flash to them, except he is much more morally grey. He won’t care if you kill a civilian as long as the civilian met the “Revenge” criteria, but anything else and you can bet your Pay is docked for the next 3 months

He and Flash have an amicable relationship. He keeps the Rouges in line with the Rules they set up themselves, and Flash acts as the source of their source of entertainment and nemesis.

I like to imagine that one day a Rouge breaks a rule, like maybe that time the Trickster stuck those bombs on the civilians I mentioned before, and Flash just says “Not my problem anymore, you broke the rule”

And he just pulls out his phone and calls Danny to inform him of the violation before sitting back and watching the fireworks (he does save the civilians, no worries)

bruce "jason todd is my biggest failure"

what bruce means, its my fault jason died and its my fault he came back like he did. if i had never made him robin he would have been safe from me. i never should have let my any of my children be robin.

what jason thinks bruce means, jason todd is the warning example i tell the new robins about so they understand what happens if their reckless or cant follow orders. takeing in jason was a mistake and letting him be robin was a stain on dicks legacy. if i had never met jason my life would have been better for it.

They thought Ellie is a child of a messy villian/hero union. Ellie doesn't correct this. Too busy laughing at the thought. The feral gremlin then FULLY leans to it. Calling hero Red Huntress mom and ghost menace Phantom dad then vaguely mentioning how hard it is when mom and dad fights. Things the Biden-Harris Administration Did This Week #38

Oct 11-18 2024

President Biden announced that this Administration had forgiven the student loan debt of 1 million public sector workers. The cancellation of the student loan debts of 60,000 teachers, firefighters, EMTs, nurses and other public sector workers brings the total number of people who's debts have been erased by the Biden-Harris Administration using the Public Service Loan Forgiveness to 1 million. the PSLF was passed in 2007 but before President Biden took office only 7,000 people had ever had their debts forgiven through it. The Biden-Harris team have through different programs managed to bring debt relief to 5 million Americans and counting despite on going legal fights against Republican state Attorneys General.

The Federal Trade Commission finalizes its "one-click to cancel" rule. The new rule requires businesses to make it as easy to cancel a subscription as it was to sign up for it. It also requires more up front information to be shared before offering billing information.

The Department of Transportation announced that since the start of the Biden-Harris Administration there are 1.7 million more construction and manufacturing jobs and 700,000 more jobs in the transportation sector. There are now 400,000 more union workers than in 2021. 60,000 Infrastructure projects across the nation have been funded by the Biden-Harris Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Under this Administration 16 million jobs have been added, including 1.7 construction and manufacturing jobs, construction employment is the highest ever recorded since records started in 1939. 172,000 manufacturing jobs were lost during the Trump administration.

The Department of Energy announced $2 billion to protect the U.S. power grid against growing threats of extreme weather. This money will go to 38 projects across 42 states and Washington DC. It'll upgrade nearly 1,000 miles worth of transmission lines. The upgrades will allow 7.5 gigawatts of new grid capacity while also generating new union jobs across the country.

The EPA announced $125 million to help upgrade older diesel engines to low or zero-emission solutions. The EPA has selected 70 projects to use the funds on. They range from replacing school buses, to port equipment, to construction equipment. More than half of the selected projects will be replacing equipment with zero-emissions, such as all electric school buses.

The Department of The Interior and State of California broke ground on the Salton Sea Species Conservation Habitat Project. The Salton Sea is California's largest lake at over 300 miles of Surface area. An earlier project worked to conserve and restore shallow water habitats in over 4,000 acres on the southern end of the lake, this week over 700 acres were added bring the total to 5,000 acres of protected land. The Biden-Harris Administration is investing $250 million in the project along side California's $500 million. Part of the Administration's effort to restore wild life habitat and protect water resources.

The Department of Energy announced $900 Million in investment in next generation nuclear power. The money will help the development of Generation III+ Light-Water Small Modular Reactors, smaller lighter reactors which in theory should be easier to deploy. DoE estimates the U.S. will need approximately 700-900 GW of additional clean, firm power generation capacity to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Currently half of America's clean energy comes from nuclear power, so lengthening the life space of current nuclear reactors and exploring the next generation is key to fighting climate change.

The federal government took two big steps to increase the rights of Alaska natives. The Departments of The Interior and Agricultural finalized an agreement to strengthen Alaska Tribal representation on the Federal Subsistence Board. The FSB oversees fish and wildlife resources for subsistence purposes on federal lands and waters in Alaska. The changes add 3 new members to the board appointed by the Alaska Native Tribes, as well as requiring the board's chair to have experience with Alaska rural subsistence. The Department of The Interior also signed 3 landmark co-stewardship agreements with Alaska Native Tribes.

The Department of Energy announced $860 million to help support solar energy in Puerto Rico. The project will remove 2.7 million tons of CO2 per year, or about the same as taking 533,000 cars off the road. It serves as an important step on the path to getting Puerto Rico to 100% renewable by 2050.

The Department of the Interior announced a major step forward in geothermal energy on public lands. The DoI announced it had approved the Fervo Cape Geothermal Power Project in Beaver County, Utah. When finished it'll generate 2 gigawatts of power, enough for 2 million homes. The BLM has now green lit 32 gigawatts of clean energy projects on public lands. A major step toward the Biden-Harris Administration's goal of a carbon pollution-free power sector by 2035.

Politically arranged marriage (IDK how those work)

During a Peace talk between the USA Government and The Infinite Realms a  US representative accuses that the King (Danny) could go back on his word anytime and they would end up defenseless against these monsters. A member of the king's court (I’m thinking Dorathea) asks if a union would convince them of their peace. The US gov is intrigued and think they could manipulate the King if he marries one of their citizens. The thing is… the US doesn’t have a monarchy. 

Then one of the US reps has a brilliant idea. Bruce Wayne has been known as the Prince of Gotham for ages, they won’t have to fake any new articles or anything online to go back years. They could totally manipulate and have Brucie Wayne tell them anything they want to know without him even knowing!!! Danny’s (aged up to around Bruce’s age) like what the shit and quickly interjects. He says it’s improper to go straight to marriage (he’s trying to bs his way out of this) the same king's court ghost says ofc and they’ll have to court each other and both parties have to consent ofc, they thought that was a given.

Another of the king's court asks how this Bruce Wayne Prince of Gotham is even worthy of their king. Another rep tells him that Brucie is also known as the White Knight of Gotham. Another speaks up about his many good deeds and the children he’s taken in. They are all shitting themselves trying to think about how to avoid them finding articles about “Brucie Wayne gets drunk and falls into the harbor from his yacht-compilation” and they're trying to talk him up as much as possible.

Danny 100% knows about said article but he doubts Bruce is gonna accept to be a part of this (hello low self esteem) but he hopes to convince Bruce to play along long enough to keep peace and once everything’s settled down they can “break up”. He’ll go along with it to keep the peace he worked himself to exhaustion for, Ancients know his people wanted war. 

Queue them both falling head over heels in love with each other and Danny getting too attached to both Bruce and the kids. He eventually does find out about Bruce being Batman but that just makes him like him more. 

Those politicians are fuming they can’t get anything dirt on the Realms out of Brucie Wayne of all people!!! He’s talking and talking but he’s not actually saying anything! How does King Phantom stand him?!

continually updating, not a complete list. feel free to add on any resources you find helpful.

Free Safer Supplies:

Each organization will have different supplies, but generally, harm reduction orgs provide things like syringes, safer snorting + smoking kits, Narcan, condoms, lube, and wound care supplies. Each org has different policies for how to get supplies--some do deliveries, some have drop in centers, some only do one to one needle exchange, some are more flexible.

Next Distro: mail based syringe provider for certain states. Also mails free Narcan.

NASEN: national map of syringe providers

a lot of harm reduction collectives aren't going to have their information listed on big national websites--it's always worth searching "harm reduction in my area" and seeing what's around you. Even if you don't live in a big city, there might be a harm reduction organization in your state that can help you find someone closer to you. there's a lot of rad people doing underground work who want to be there to help you who aren't as easy to find online. If there's street medic collectives, mutual aid groups or groups like Food not Bombs in your area, you can ask people in them who might know where to find harm reduction services in your area!

Drug Users Unions:

Drug users unions are activist groups made for people who use drugs, by people who use drugs! Drug users unions do advocacy work to end criminalization, as well as providing vital community support. Many drug users unions are also inclusive of sex workers and work to decriminalize sex work as well. You can search for "drug users union" in your state.

Maryland is a fuckass New England state that pretends it's part of the south just because it was racist enough to leave the country 200 years ago

I don’t know what part of the American education system did wrong by you. This is both geographically and historically illiterate, but it’s pissing me off to imagine someone wandering around the world being this wrong presumably about the country they themselves live in so I’m going to explain it to you.

1: New England is way further north than Maryland. New England is Yankeeland, like settled by the Pilgrims and Puritans, currently inhabited by wasps, the Irish, libertarians, lesbian bed and breakfasts, and cops. Boston. Nothing south of New York City is New England.

Maryland historically was a southern state. They practiced slavery like the rest of the south, they were south of the Mason-Dixon Line (the first system of categorizing what was and wasn’t the south), and parts of the US government still considers them part of the South today. Look, here is the map of regions and divisions within the United States that the census bureau keeps. See how far apart Maryland and New England are.

However, despite historically (and sometimes bureaucratically) being a southern state, Maryland is very much a cultural part of the mid-Atlantic region today. They join Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York in that category. Some western Marylanders might identify as Appalachian if they live in the mountains, and some older Marylanders might still say they’re southern, but you will not find that many people fighting for Maryland’s inclusion in the south. 

2. Maryland did not secede and join the Confederacy during the Civil War. They still did slavery- two of the most famous Black abolitionists, Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman both had to escape Maryland because they were born into slavery there- but Maryland was a Union border state. Abraham Lincoln very notably kind of violated the constitution to suspend habeas corpus, which is your right to not be held in jail indefinitely without being charged with a specific crime. He suspended that right partially so that he could throw as many pro-Confederate Marylanders in prison as possible and keep them there to make sure Maryland stayed in the Union, which was of critical importance because if they left the American capital, DC, would be surrounded. A Marylander DID kill Abraham Lincoln so maybe he should have oppressed them harder. However his plan did work. They never seceded.

This addition to the display marks an effort to present a fuller story of America’s journey toward equality and democracy. It also serves as a powerful reminder of the progress we’ve made and the work that continues as we move toward a more perfect union, just in time to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Archivist of the United States Dr. Colleen Shogan shared her excitement: "I am thrilled we are adding these documents as we celebrate 250 years of the United States of America. I look forward to welcoming all Americans to experience first-hand this engaging history on display.”

✧₊⁺ To check those indicators we are going to focus on the Derivative Astrology Technique today.

✧₊⁺ Derivative Astrology is a technique used only on Natal Charts, or at least mostly. It consists of using our different Houses as different point of views and make different statements and observations. For example, Derivative Astrology for our Future Spouse will make our 7H as our Future Spouse's 1H. Since the 7H is our FS, then it will be who they are, so their 1H.

✧₊⁺ Here, it is question of money and fame. Money in the Natal Chart is represents by our 2H and 8H. The 2H is our money and 8H is shared money. In this case, based on Derivative Astrology, our 2H becomes our FS 8H, and our 8H becomes their 2H. In this case, nothing changes, we will look at the 2H and 8H.

✧₊⁺ About the Fame, our fame is represented usually by our 10H, which is how people see us, our reputation and how society portray us. But with Derivative Astrology, it becomes our 4H, as it opposes our personal 10H. The 10H of our FS is our 4H. So we will look at our 4H. We are also going to check 7H, as it represents our FS, but also partnerships, so this can indicates also there if they are famous or wealthy. And since our 12H represents their 6H, we are also going to check that, since 6H represents work.

✧₊⁺ Bascially, you will need to check those indicators in your 2H, 4H, 7H, 8H, 12H.

ᯓ★ Fame Indicators

✧₊⁺ Having an IC or DC in a Leo Degree (5, 17, 29) can indicate a spouse that is popular or famous (ex: Hailey Bieber has IC 29°, Justin Bieber has DC 29°)

✧₊⁺ Varuna in your 7H can indicate your FS can be quite popular for their appearance, and could mark history with one of their look. Varuna conjuncts 7H Ruler can mean something similar.

✧₊⁺ Sun 7H or Sun rulling 7H can mean your FS will attract attention to them, attention can often be on them, they can be popular.

✧₊⁺ Fame Asteroids in the 4H can indicate a Future Spouse who is very popular, and someone who has a reputation making them well known. Could be a celebrity or high figure who is also well known.

✧₊⁺ 7H Ruler in 8H can mean your FS is going to be quite popular, people can be obsessed with them or they can be quite desired. It can also mean there is a certain obsession one who you will marry in your life. (ex: Jungkook has this placement).

✧₊⁺ 4H Ruler in 7H can mean your Union and being married to this person will make you popular, famous, or have a higher status.

✧₊⁺ Neptune 4H can mean FS is someone who can be really popular, and people can be obsessed with this person.

✧₊⁺ Stellium in your 4H with Sun in it can indicate your FS having a lot of attention on them, and your FS will probably have a huge success in their career. Could also indicate a possible fame, since they attract a lot of attention.

✧₊⁺ Fame Asteroids in your 12H can mean your FS will get recognition and possible fame because of their work, and dedication to it.

✧₊⁺ Jupiter 7H can mean your FS is quite popular in general, so can indicate possible fame and getting more known too.

✧₊⁺ 8H Stelliums with Money asteroids.

✧₊⁺ 8H ruler in 2H can mean FS money will be shared with yours after marriage, or you will get rich (if there are money asteroids or other indicators) after marriage.

✧₊⁺ Jupiter/ Venus 2H can mean FS has money, and money can come from family or other resources.

✧₊⁺ 2H ruler in 8H means you'll gain a lot of money and possessions after marriage (ex: Princess Diana had this placement).

✧₊⁺ Jupiter/ Venus conjunct money asteroid in 10H could suggest FS was born in a wealthy family. Groom/ Briede as well.

✧₊⁺ Money asteroids in 10H could also be similar.

✧₊⁺ Sun/ Jupiter/ Venus 8H can mean FS can have money, and actually be wealthy.

✧₊⁺ Stellium 2H with money asteroids can mean FS and you can be a very wealthy couple.

✧₊⁺ Groom/ Briede conjunct money asteroids.

✧₊⁺ Money asteroids in 12H means FS will make money from work mostly.

✧₊⁺ Groom/ Briede/ Juno in 2H.

✧₊⁺ 2H Ruler in 4H means FS money will come from work, and recognition from work.

Danny Fenton goon union representative (dp x dc fanfic prompt)

At no point in Danny's life has he ever turned down a challenge, even when he had to deal with opponents bigger than himself. From dealing with everyone from Dash to Vlad to heck pariah dark, he's learned to take down people bigger than himself. So when he overhears that his nice father of four neighbors has been having some trouble at work and has been unable to get some time off, he figures it can't hurt to try to help such a nice guy out. And it does go ok, all things considered; I mean, what if the guy's boss was the penguin, and so what if Danny maybe had to show off some of his less-than-human characteristics to get him to agree to let the guy have some time off? Everything worked out at the end of who cares.

Well, when word gets out that someone is not afraid to go tow to tow with the city's villains, someone's bound to either take him out or hire him. And when word gets around that he's willing to help get better working conditions for Gotham's goon workers, their union could use a new representative.

So Danny inadvertently gets a new job, wherein he gets to meet many strange characters around the city and help many friendly working-class people with their problems. Interchange the goons help hide Danny from the bat, and his no meta-rule, even if Danny doesn't know they're hiding him. But this does cause some problems because people like black mask don't necessarily want to pay for their goon's vision care or overtime and refuses to adhere to any of the union's demands. Danny, for what it's worth, did warn the guy because, unlike black mask, he has the goon's respect and knows that they will listen to him, so when he proposes a strike, they readily agree to his suggestion.

And with all of this going down so quickly in the city, both batman and the red hood need to get as much info on this new player before things get even more out of hand. But with all of the normal underground information channels refusing to give them anything, they are forced to schedule a meeting with not only the union but its infamous leader, which is good for Danny because he wasn't sure how to get into contact with batman anyway. He has some concerns with the level of violence used to take down some goons. And well, when they have no choice but to work in this industry, they should, at the very least, outline a clear code of conduct for all parties involved to ensure the safest possible work environment.
