Just watched the Sailor moon D-Point episode with a friend and the creators of that episode really love the sailor senshi, particularly Rei.

It's so funny to me that the everyone knows Ami's Bubble Blast does nothing, so she couldn't kill anyone. But she got to disrupt DD Girls' power.

LOVE that Mako got to kill two of them with one big badass blast. I don't know if I ever quite realized she got two of them, but I was paying attention in particular to that this time. She's the powerhouse who gets to kill two with one attack even while Rei is the most dedicated and gets to kill two separately.

They didn't best know what to do with Minako but the VA did an exceptional job. It really brought a lot to the episode that she truly sounded scared to die. Not like battle yells but actually fearful. She's been doing this the longest, has known longer than anyone she could die doing this. And that never under cut how afraid she was. But she fought anyway.

But absolutely they let Rei take the show. She really is such a fucking badass in that episode shooting Fire Soul through a fucking glacier to kill the monster going after Usagi without even proper line of sight. Rei said she would protect Usagi and by god she would not be stopped. And she wasn't even done there.

Amazing. Love it. Gold star. No notes. @keyofjetwolf I feel you. Yes, I immediately thought of you when Rei turned to that last DD girl with that rage filled eye and said she wasn't fucking done and burnt that bitch to a crisp.

Steve would absolutely be down to play D&D with Hellfire. The only condition is that he gets to be whatever character he wants (with Eddie's help crafting the sheet, of course), and Eddie is so completely enamoured and excited that he agrees wholeheartedly.

Turns out, Steve didn't really understand the concept of fantasy characters and assumed that it included all kinds of fantasies. Elves, Dwarves, Mages.

And naturally the lineup of Steve's 1987 Fantasy Basketball League.

The rest of Hellfire is ultimately accepting of it, and even gets into the character as time goes on. But those first few sessions were confusing as hell. Especially because they weren't quite sure what to think when Steve's only supplies and weapons included sports bars, tiny shorts, and a basketball.

Eddie though?

Eddie's been having a goddamn field day with the chaos his beloved hath wrought.

"Alright Steve. Roll to attack."

Steve rolls and lights up. "Eighteen!"

The other players cheer.

"Good luck," said Will sullenly after his magic missile failed to take the villain down. In fact, so far, nearly every attack from each member had failed to do enough damage to even make a dent.

Eddie writes down a note behind his DM shield. "Alright so the ghost approaches you. What are you..." He pauses. "Wait. Sorry what's your name again?"

"Larry Bird," says Steve helpfully.

"Right. What are you, Larry Bird, going to do to the Ghost?"

"I'm going to dribble across the enchanted bridge and hit him with a hook shot."

"This is the weirdest thing we've ever done..." Dustin whispers.

He's shushed by everyone else who has become absolutely invested in the fate of their resident Point Guard Paladin.

(the best part is that the end of the campaign in what was meant to be a difficult and long battle, in which almost every single Hellfire character dies a gruesome death, Steve effectively ends it by rolling a single D20 and dunking a zombie's head into the Boss' face.

Hellfire is elated but isn't sure how to explain to future Hellfire members that a kill shot was once carried out by the small forward of the Boston Celtics.)

love that when luffy heard the name roronoa zoro & found out he was an extremely feared pirate hunter to the point that people called him a demon his first reaction was ‘I’m going to see that guy’ then when he found out he had a soft spot/good person he was like ‘OHHHH he’s coming home w me’. and as for zoro, he was like huh that kid’s crazy. sure I’ll join his non existent pirate crew and follow him into danger. perhaps even die for him! and within a week they’re communicating practically telepathically. first mate successfully acquired
