one of my fav post game togami headcanons is the idea that in the early days of their time with the future foundation, he's the one doing the Bulk of the work -- not only in the Job sense of like, interpreting all the legalese and filing forms, and being mr ceo guy -- but in a caretaking sense as well.

and its still in his Weird Distant way but like. he picks up extra work so the others dont have to. he brings coffee and tells them when its time to turn in for the night. dont worry. he'll finish the work they have left. it's nothing to him. and sure all of it is couched in backhanded comments a la "if you're too weak to do it i will. i GUESS" because he's still too early in his Journey to Empathy to admit to himself that he's doing these things because he cares. like it's all rationalized as "im the better than everyone and my weak-willed so-called 'peers' are too consumed by grief to actually be useful so i'll do it because im naturally immune to burnout" (he isnt)

and also bc like. he feels BAD about everything that went down in hopes peak. again, not that he'd recognize it as such for years but. here are all these people that he doesn't (does) care about struggling against their own grief for the people they lost that he doesnt care about (or at least doesnt remember caring about) and he treated them SO poorly in some of the harder moments so now's when he needs to make up for it. sure his entire family is dead but he's alive and he's the best one, so he'll do the work. it's fine. this is what he was made for. extra paperwork? handled. too swamped to find time to grab food and water? tch, he's so on top of his work that he already got it for you, stupid. the most dangerous missions? whatever, you'd probably just mess it up anyways, so i'll do it.

Sub Sephiroth is way overdue. I noticed that people that really enjoy/understand his character from both sides of Nibelheim prefer it. Truthers unite ✊

In all seriousness, I just think it fits best for him in certain types of relationships. I'm personally a Switch!Seph person as I do think he enjoys being dominant at times. But with that said, sub is very important, at least for Sane!Seph. It helps him experience a sense of safety and control, regaining a sense of trust after years and years of giving it away for free to Shinra. Sephiroth relishes the idea of being good, of being so good and safe and cherished. Of having something genuine he can receive from others because he is WORTH that effort. Not as the hero. Not as a weapon. As a human. It's very therapeutic for him. Obv he likes having something he can personally provide, as well as taking direct control when he needs to. But he enjoys the bittersweet security of surrendering as well. They are both critical components of his identity.

Have you ever hated yourself to an extent where you end up blaming yourself for the miseries and destiny of other's.... To a point where you can't stand yourself , where you want to skin your own self alive , where you despise yourself so much that you can't stand your own presence....

Have you ever tried keeping people in your life - the ones you love and cherish , but you watch them slowly slipping from your own hand like sand.... It's like I am always the sea - vast with infinite depths and musings and people are always like shoreline always I am lingering but never in my stars to finally kiss my shoreline....

I always thought finding love for me was like catching a butterfly , the more I try to go near it , the more it flies away from me.... Love was like chasing stars , I could see them yes but whenever I extended my hand to catch them I ended up with nothing....

I'm a going bit crazy from this scene where Daniel confronts Armand about San Francisco in 2×06. Why was the memory erasure the first thing Armand apologized for? Not the torture or the murder attempt. He literally said "I'm sorry I made you forget this experience you had, Louis thought it was necessary too. Oh yeah, I guess I'm also sorry for almost killing you".

You could say it's a conscious attempt to gaslight and minimize the damage he caused. Or you could say that while he does try to deflect the blame, his main regret is making Daniel forget. Which could mean nothing.

the thing that's soooo funny about this scene is that in 2 seconds it goes from louis expressing how hurt he is to armand apologizing to DANIEL. to louis he's like "don't care didn't ask you asked me to erase your suicide attempt so you shouldn't be upset about it." then to daniel he's like "i am so sorry for my betrayal of you that i will apologize Twice. please don't hate me 🥺"

it's also huge to me that the memory loss is the thing that daniel is more upset about. it's almost like approximately 12 years after the first time he erased your memories he did it again and this time when he did it the memories were just that more treasured to you and now that you've remembered he's erased your memories you're unexpectedly devastated and you don't know what to do about that, but the least you can do is demand an apology
