This is genuinely what some of you sound like. Remember, Lincoln FAMOUSLY campaigned on the promise that he was not a threat to the institution of slavery. There were tons of people who were FURIOUS that he wasn't doing enough.
But he realized that he was trying to appeal to a voterbase of WHITE SUPREMACISTS and PEOPLE WHO EXCLUSIVELY BENIFITTED AND PROFITED FROM THE INSTITUTION OF SLAVERY.
If he was honest about his intentions to abolish slavery, he wouldn't have gotten elected to ANYTHING.
At one point, he even said something along the lines of "I have no intention to threaten the institution of slavery. My soul purpose is to save the union." Meanwhile, he already had a draft of the emancipation proclaimation largely ready to go. Obama is another example. He famously promised often and loudly that he "in no way supported gay marriage". Which ALSO made lots of liberals angry. It is extremely frustrating watching people who don't understand how politics work try to play politics.

Nathalie Baptiste at HuffPost:
Donald Trump promised over the course of his campaign to abolish the Department of Education. It’s been a pet policy goal of the right ever since the agency was created in 1980 under former President Jimmy Carter and is spelled out in Project 2025, the conservative playbook that Trump will probably use once he is back in the White House.
But Trump doesn’t need to shut down the department in order to launch an all-out war on public schools. He outlined his plan for education in a video last year, saying that not only will he close down the agency, he will bring back prayer in schools, end the supposed indoctrination of students and take politics out of schools. “We will ensure our classrooms are focused not on political indoctrination but on teaching the knowledge and skills needed to succeed,” Trump said, adding, “We will teach students to love their country, not to hate their country like they’re taught right now.” It’s the same agenda that right-wing culture warriors have been pushing in red states for the last four years — and Trump wants to spread it across the country. “This renewed push to go after the Department of Education isn’t so much a sincere push for smaller government or even reducing the federal role,” Jon Valant, a senior fellow in governance studies at the Brookings Institution, told HuffPost. “It’s more about this continued attack on public education as a concept and eroding support for public schools in general.”
The Department of Education’s primary functions are providing funding for programs that serve low-income public schools and children with disabilities and protecting students from discrimination. If Trump were able to abolish it, it would spell disaster for the entire country. But public education has increasingly become politicized, and support for public schools, especially among Republicans, is now at an all-time low. The upcoming Trump administration will likely seize on that sentiment to further attack public schools through rolling back Biden-era rules designed to make them safe and equitable for all students, supporting the expansion of programs that take away funding from public schools and promoting laws that restrict books and censor teachers. “One of their first moves would be pulling back Title IX protections for LGBTQ+ students,” Valant said. Title IX is the federal regulation that protects students from sex-based discrimination. The Biden administration expanded it to include protections for students in the LGBTQ+ community. Republicans have fought against the change from the beginning, and several GOP-led states sued to block the rule. An overwhelming majority of transgender students have reported feeling unsafe or unwelcome at school. Then there’s the Office for Civil Rights. This arm of the Department of Education allows students, parents and families to sue their school districts over civil rights violations. Often, the department works with both sides to seek a resolution because it’s a low-risk way of settling civil rights violations. But Project 2025 proposes gutting the office and only allowing lawsuits to go through the courts, thus eliminating an avenue for addressing discrimination in our nation’s schools.
[...] Multiple states have already passed their own versions of parental rights bills, like in Iowa and Tennessee. These laws often ban books that conservatives believe are sexually explicit but usually target books with LGBTQ+ themes. Teachers are typically restricted in what they can say about gender identity and sexual orientation and are required to inform parents if their child wants to go by another name or pronouns at school — even against the student’s wishes.
The Orange Fascist’s war on public schools could have very costly consequences for the quality of education across America, and especially for LGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty.

hey guys, I am not one to ask for support in anything, I have always had pride even when I was living paycheck to paycheck 15 years ago, just me and my doggo, living in a cabin out in the Poconos. But, I had folks who became family who help me out. All I am asking is some support for my YouTube Channel which I speak about real things including relationships, life and the shit with Trump and his administration. I don't ask for much of anything because I was always poor until I built myself up which I am continuing to do. I don't have the best equipment for audio on my channel so please bare with me. I'm new to putting my voice out there, speaking my truth and the truth and anything I share on my tumblr that are my words unless I say otherwise and the same goes for my YouTube channel. I believe we need to come together now more than ever, no matter your race, religion, sexuality or anything else for that matter and stand up. Be the Revolution! America is literally on the brink of many things including civil war and a revolution. Everything has a domino effect and the more this shit gets out of control the more it hurts everyone in the United States. I'm not saying do anything crazy...just speak up, speak your truth, you have a right to be heard. Thank you for the support.

Trump is Resigned to Lose the Election and Prepared to Stage Another Coup
Seeing his chances of winning the election dwindling, Trump is changing his focus to staging another coup.
It starts with local election officers who are magats who have pledged to alter their numbers if Harris wins their district.
There are still plenty of cells of fake electors.
There is the good old fashioned ku klux klan method of voter intimidation at the polls.
And the unsuccessful last time, armed mob set upon the capitol or White House.
This corrupt convicted felon and his simpleton cult followers want a white American for white people. The corrupt wealthy who support Trump want no regulation and no taxes.
This coup will be more violent and organized than the last one. Make no mistake: the reason why this election is so important is because if these psychos get power, we won’t ever vote again.
His simpleton magat followers will argue with you on here, on tumblr. They call us fear mongers. Many of the antigenocide crowd call us fear mongers too and while their hearts are in the right place, they repeat republican propaganda unaware they are doing so. They think losing our democracy is a fair price to pay to protest genocide completely oblivious to the fact that if we lose democracy, that’s the end of their protest. And Trump has already gone on record saying to Netanyahu: “finish it.”
Trump will send them even more weapons which for some reason they refuse to or are incapable of understanding. Like I said, their hearts are in the right place, they just simply cannot conceive of democracy being dismantled. The concept is bewildering and therefore not realistic.
Others of them think democracy doesn’t exist. That our system of government is like the matrix, just a projection. That our votes don’t matter anyway. And still others are just anarchists who want to see America fall into dystopia. They think they’ll somehow thrive in trump’s autocracy. That we the people aren’t important enough to detain.
Trump said his next term was all about retribution. That’s going to be on all of us. He refers to his magat supporters in private as “basement dwellers.” They will be fucked over too along with the rest of us.
And trump’s basement dwellers have promised a civil war if their big orange bath daddy loses, which he has indicated he is making plans for.
Biden should have the armed forces ready to put down the coup attempt now. Magats don’t stand a chance against the might of the US Military, whom Trump refers to as losers.
So even if Harris wins, things won’t be settled. That’s when their war actually begins. There will be some sort of announcement by trump’s campaign at some point during the first week of September. Pay attention to it.
Things in this country are about to get more fucked up. And the rest of the world is watching nervously as the world’s largest super power gets thrown into chaos

Fury had spent his morning being raked over the coals, with his afternoon promising to be more of the same.
The source of this collective headache was one Tony Stark. If the man’s ego were any bigger, it would qualify as its own sovereign state.
Nobody was happy with Stark swinging his dick around like he owned the world, and the prevailing expectation seemed to be that it fell to Fury—and by extension SHIELD—to put a leash on him before he cracked open a global crisis, or something even worse.
Fury handed the case over to Maria Hill and tasked her, personally, with making sure Stark got reamed good and proper.
Hill sent Romanoff, which usually amounted to tossing a coiled snake into a den of unsuspecting mice. Romanoff would seduce Stark, slip right past his defenses—whether that meant into his head, his bed, or both—and dig up enough dirt to bring him to heel. If there was a way in, she would find it. And if there wasn’t, well… she’d make one. Soviet Russia hadn’t taught her failure.
So it came as a highly unpleasant surprise when, a month or so later, Hill walked into his office and declared the OP dead. Romanoff’s cover was blown, Stark had flipped the script, and now he was giving SHIELD the middle finger as publicly as money could buy.
That left Fury with one option he had hoped to avoid: calling in a favor from Thaddeus Ross. Ross still owed him. Back in the day, SHIELD had stepped in and stopped Bruce Banner from turning the other half of Harlem into rubble. That kind of intervention didn’t come cheap, and now, finally, it was time to collect.
Fury picked up a secure line.
“I want the suit,” he said over the phone. “And I want that arrogant little shitstain brought down. I don’t care how you do it—just get it done. No more games.”
