I've really been enjoying introducing NEW members of my, for lack of a better term, Pantheon of Anxieties. Skeezics as my Inner Demon was fun as a cameo from my "Dandy & Co." days, but making these NEW ones all based on me, I'm hoping, makes the IDEA even more clear for the individual inner demons. (And less dependent on an almost non-existent level of nostalgia for an otherwise forgotten webcomic. lol)

And, I mean, a Gut Goblin seemed like a natural inclusion as I DO keep eating like someone whose body hasn't already rebelled against this kind of diet HARD. She's a character that was born out of a random phone conversation with Sabrina and once I doodled her, I KNEW I was going to incorporate her into my Pantheon of Alter egos. lol

There’s something that gets me about Colin Provolone man. About hating the one thing you are best at and needing to be good at it for the good of the world but not wanting it. Being cursed when ‘I don’t think I even did anything’ just because you were born. Trying so hard to make something right even when you know it is never enough. Not being included in the group until the end right before everything falls apart (everyone else used telepathy. No one told him. No one told him.) never belonging anywhere until finally you stop trying. You stop hoping you can be more.

You hunt the evil because you’re good at it and someone has to.

It doesn’t matter what you want.

It never has.

Fancy Restaurant: We serve a 16 oz steak cooked in duck fat and served with a soubise sauce with crispy black truffle and Parmesan herb encrusted potato wedges and watercress. Also, we don’t allow two people to share one meal order here.

Us: Oh my gawd, Becky, look. At that steak. It is so big.

Me: Okay neither of us could finish that alone but we both want it so it would be stupid to pay that much twice and have neither of us finish. Soooo…what if you order the steak and I order this nice dinner-size Caesar salad with pecorino romano and yuzu-infused dressing, and we just…share anyway?

Bast: I like that idea hehehe.

Me: Yeah it’ll be like we’re getting away with something hehehe.

Us: Ehehehehehehe.

Dinner: *arrives, salad wedge style with four big chunks of romaine and steak already cut into strips*

Us: *immediately start redistributing food*

All the Wait Staff in the Room: *saw*

This: *was definitely allowed*

Us: Ehehehehe we’re totally fooling them we’re so getting away with sharing hehehehe~

i do enjoy kdramas for the shameless romance, of course, but actually most of my favorite OTPs are the platonic ones. ji eun tak and the reaper. hong seol and baek in ho. lee rang and ki yu ri. lee rang and lee yeon. lee eun bi and gong tae kwang. hae soo and baek ah. kim moo chan and kwon seok-joo. i do recognize that a lot of this is second lead syndrome at work and also homoerotic tension, but i do love how the way that kdramas are structured means that all the relationships are fully fleshed out, which lets my personal gravitation toward supporting characters get free rein.
