Man. If I had a nickel for every time Zac Oyama and Lou Wilson had to rp a breakup-coded fight between their “platonic besties” characters because Zac’s character was experiencing a hard personal internal struggle and decided to leave a group/cause that he wasn’t actually invested in and mostly just joined because Lou’s character was passionate about it and Lou’s character was canonically very charismatic and good at garnering followers/admirers but Zac’s character was one of his only true friends that he fully trusted and was loyal to and Lou’s character was really hurt when Zac’s character left, less by the actual action of leaving and more by the implication that he didn’t care about Lou’s character enough to stay I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s fucking RUDE that it’s happened twice.

20 years is a long time, but perhaps one day, a young peppermint ranger and his pig are exploring the great rock candy mountains, when he notices movement, just out of the corner of his eye, maybe even catches a truly foul whiff of old cheese

maybe he tries to follow it, out of curiosity about a dairy person so deep in candia. but he's just a kid, and the stranger is experienced and careful.

maybe he gets close enough to hear the figure muttering "come on, provolone" before disappearing into the shadows.

i would’ve liked to color it/shade it properly but i literally don’t have any time for the foreseeable future (which is killing me because the new d20 season looks so good) so i wanted to get this out now

i like to think they all keep some sort of (tenuous) contact. that’s all. oh and the flowers in the final panel are carolina reaper and radish flowers 🌸

nothing has changed my worldview so thoroughly as Ally calling Zac a word-sniper because I think about it every single time Zac makes a joke because its so true. people were talking about how they wanted to see Matt meet chaos force Emily while dming but there is no one better he could've faced than Sniper Zac. like Brennan said in the AP Zac is the only one who, by barely speaking a sentence, can break the most talented and accomplished improvisers in the world. They can meet a force of chaos and battle it - they are POWERLESS against a sniper
