Here,have some of my headcanons for Gen lock now that season one is done.

- Yaz is the team mom

-Cal is know for making terrible puns, to the point that Chase mutes him to spare the teams sanity

-One day Kazu gives the whole team a cooking lesson and it goes horrible wrong with Yaz burning her food, Val under cooking theirs and Cammie almost sets the kitchen on fire. Meanwhile Chase just watches as the chaos plays out.

-The ether and in the GL network is the only time the team can physical touch Chase and they take advantage of that by constantly hugging him and giving all of kinds of affection.

-Chase is super touch starved since he’s spent 4 years in a tank unable to touch or interact with anything.

-Cammie and Migas find a way for Chase’s hologram to interact with things to make him feel less like a ghost.

-Cammie has called Yaz “mom” by accident several times which just warms Yaz’s heart each time she does.

-One night on the Ether Chase see’s a glimpse of what he thinks is his sister’s avatar. Even hearing a faint “Julian?” before the figure disappears into the crowd.

-Nugget loves to climb around on everyone, which the whole team doesn’t mind at all.

-One time Nugget tried to jump onto Chase which resulted in him falling though Chase and onto the floor.

-Migas and Cammie stay up all night playing games until Yaz yells at the two of them to go to bed.

-Kazu gives Val some guitar lessons, in return Val teaches him how to dance.

- Val loves teasing Kazu mostly because they love seeing him get all flustered.

-They all sleep in one big cuddle pile with tons of pillows and blankets.

-Chase tries to join in but just phases through everything.

-Since Chase is stuck in his Holon he doesn’t really need to eat anymore.

-They bury Chase’s body since he doesn’t need it anymore.

-They visit Weller’s grave and Yaz starts to tear up since he was like a father to her

-Val and everyone comfort her.

-Kazu sees someone being disrespectful to Val for being genderfulid and he might not fully understand it yet but that doesn’t mean he’ll let someone be a dick to his teammate.

-He then steps in and tells the person to fuck off and is ready to fight if the person doesn’t listen.

-Val is flattered despite the fact they could have handle the situation on their own but are flattered none the less.

-Val and Yaz finally talk about their weird robot dreams, with Kazu shyly mentioning that he’s starting to have them too. Which makes Val smirk in response.

Observations on The Only Me I Know (3/5 The Battle)

Things aren’t off to a great start, with Miranda appearing a bit distracted.

Liable to get yourself killed that way soldier.

Cammie on the other hand is showing significant improvement. And she and Val/entina are shown reloading.

Another one of those things that doesn’t add to the plot, but is a neat detail.

Miranda being a badass.

Guess she has her head in the game after all.

Then there’s this beauty of a fight.

Wish I didn’t have to speed it up so much to fit it in one gif.

Here we see Chase point blank refusing to even consider gen:LOCK 2.

Is he uncomfortable with the concept? Is it specific to Madrani? Does he not trust her?

Finally addressing something that’s been in fans minds for a while: What happens when Chase’s body is attacked?

Also, note the accumulated minor damage on the Holons. Not something we’ve seen yet. Before this we’ve gone straight from minor to catastrophic.

17. "Am I going to die?" With Cammie and best sibling Val/entina?

“Say, Valentina…”

Blood ran cold inside their body as the soft hand came up to their face, missing a few times before finding their cheek and settling on it, fingers tracing towards her lips like spider crawling across. Her body was so warm, it was usually too warm, so why was the skin pressed against their face turning icey so quickly.

“Dr. Jha,” Valentina dared not look down, fearful of what they would do if they saw the child’s green eyes stricken with fear but glazing over, if the sensation running over their numb hand would turn wet and hot, “Why isn’t the Re-Gen working?”

“It’s the nanotech, it’s interfering-”

“I thought we had the code to block it? Cammie-”

The girl in question coughed just as Valentina barked out their words. Normally Valentina would have no problem scolding the girl to her face, but they couldn’t look at them. They kept their gaze locked on the floor behind and above her head, there was blood matted in her hair, they switched to looking towards the Re-Gen machine where Dr. Jha’s feet were, they could see the twitching muscles from Cammie’s torn up arm spasming-

“Valentina…” Cammie tried through her hacking, her lungs struggling to suck in air as the vaporized nanotech had drilled its way through them and then vanished, “It was a new type… I wasn’t in the Holon so I couldn’t decipher it as quickly as last time-”

“Shut up!” They practically screamed down at her, but they wouldn’t look, they refused to look. This couldn’t be happening.

“We can get her onto life support quickly if we put her brain in the Holon. It’s the safest way to keep her alive while figuring out how to remove the nano.” Dr. Jha turned to face them as she signaled for the rest of her team to come in and extract Cammie from Valentina. Hands came up and hers slipped away, and suddenly Valentina could see her. She could see all the damage that had been done while they were fighting the battle, leaving Cammie alone with Caliban in the airship, unprepared and defenseless for the nanotech that had flanked the ship while they were kilometers away on the ground defending another base or some holding line that didn’t even matter anymore to Valentina.

When they heard the screams coming through their feed, Valentina had raced back to the ship, ready to blow the whole thing open when her blood curdling cries had grown in intensity. But they saw Cammie had run out of the ship and dragged the nanotech with her, sacrificing herself to keep it away from their bodies resting inside. Valentina had wanted to go after her right away, but through her shrieks, she told them to stay back, and Yasamin and Chase had to hold Kazu and them still as they watched Cammie continue to race away from the cloud. Her sprint eventually fell into a limp until Valentina was about ready to strangle all the other Pilots in the mindframe to chase after the girl, but when the girl collapsed and the cloud seemed to overtake her, small wave of green light then shot out over the area, stopping a few ways before them. The Holons were unharmed, but the sickening realization dawned on Valentina as they watched the nanotech explode into the air and Cammie collapse into the dirt. As they raced to her, all connection to her was gone. All the gadgets she wore, all the feeds and displays, they were vanished. Valentina couldn’t get through to a single one.

They had rushed back to RTASA, Valentina abandoning their Holon as they dashed into the main lab with Cammie limp in their arms. Now, as she was pulled away from them, they could see their eyes were shut, and blood was leaking down where tears should’ve been. The computerized contacts had exploded. Valentina covered their mouth and tried not to gasp.

“Where am I going? Where did Valentina… Where’s Kazoo? Yaz? Chase?!” Camme was thrashing about, screaming as her one good arm flailed about, hitting the scientists as they rushed to get her on a stretcher and back to where the ESU had been set up in the building. Valentina jumped to their feet when they saw Cammie’s hand pause on someone’s face again, realization dawning on them once more as they took in the mangled state of Cammie’s bunny ears.

“We’ll get her uploaded as fast as possible- Valentina!” Dr. Jha reached out after as they shoved the doctors out of the way, grabbing the good hand and pressing the fingers to their lips as they spoke as slowly and clearly as they could.

“It’s Valentina. We are going to upload you. I will meet you in the mindframe.”

Valentina was shoved out of the way but followed on their heels to the pods, yelling at them to be gentle as they rushed to get Cammie inside. Valentina sent the order to Caliban to start the upload, and even though the suit was likely fried too, they prayed that Cammie would still be able to connect. They wanted to wait to see the symbols on the display turn to gen:LOCK, but Yasamin appeared behind and urged them inside.

“You’re going to meet her right? Don’t leave her scared and frightened. I’ll manage things here.”

Valentina could hardly nod as Yasamin pushed them into the pod, everything around them feeling dazed and hazy as their adrenaline seemed to keep spiking but with nothing new to react to or fight. The next thing they knew, the pod was sealing closed above them, and they were dropped into the darkness.

“Valentina? Valentina, please-!”

Val opened their eyes and saw Cammie’s figure on the floor, almost pinned down as they searched for others in the imaginary space. They swam towards her, extending a hand out.

“Cammie!”

It was such a blessing to see the girl with her eyes open, her body not bleeding, broken in half, and eaten away at several areas by the bombs and little virus that had tried to invade her. Val swore that when they finally found the creator of those things, they were going to-

“Val, I…  my body I can’t…”

Their eyes widened as they realized her words, pulling their hand back as they floated down to touch down beside her. Very quickly, they knelt down, and pulled the girl into their lap like they had done on the floor of the Re-Gen machine.

“Your body will be fine. Dr. Jha will figure out how to fix it. We will get you back in it in no time.”

“Don’t lie to me,” the girl whispered as Val propped them up against their arm, allowing the girl to sit up, “I felt it happening. I was getting the EMP out but then my other arm was going and then it was inside me and I was trying so hard and-”

“Hush, little bunny.” Val adjusted their hold and embraced Cammie in a tight hug, lifting her off the ground so they both could float in the colorful space.

“I’m guessing I’m paralyzed in here until I get a new suit,” she joked, and Val tried to smile, but Cammie seemed pained when they saw it, and looked away. Val reached out and tried to turn her head back to face them.

They stayed like that for a few minutes, Val focusing on keeping them afloat in the watery void, while also maintaining on a much quieter level their fear and bubbling thoughts. They refused to let any of their fears to reach Cammie. Then, Dr. Jha’s voice cut through the mindframe:

“Valentina, we successfully uploaded Cammie. We will be removing her body now.”

“Val, you were already uploaded for so long. You must be close to burning through uptime. You don’t… You don’t have to stay-”

“It’s fine, it’s fine. Listen, you need me here, and I don’t want to have to go back out there and deal with Kazu, Yasamin, and Chase bugging me about-”

“Val,” Cammie talked over Val, taking a deep breath of nothing as she prepared herself not to cry, “Am I going to die?”

She hated herself when she saw the emotions that slapped across Val’s face. She was tormenting them with the question, but she needed to know the truth.

“Camme, what are you-”

“They’re moving my body out of the pod. I think they did it as soon as you got in, which was why I couldn’t move.”

“No, Cammie, they’re just going to try and remove the nanotech and then put you in the Re-Gen again-”

“So we already tried to Re-Gen once? So that was what was going on when you were yelling about the nanotech.”

She laughed, but it was dry and cracked, her voice going quiet at the end and her eyes casting down as she let Val guide their hands together so that Cammie was holding them. She couldn’t move her muscles, and if Val left, she would certainly just float to the bottom of this expanse, waiting until the next person uploaded to speak with her. She glanced over, catching a blue light flickering in the distance. She blinked it over.

“Val, you need to go.”

“Cammie, no, I won’t leave you alone here-”

“I’m not going to be alone. It’ll be fine, and besides, once you guys build me a new suit, I’ll be back to my usual self! I can decode the nanotech much easier in here anyway!”

She cocked her head and gave Val her best smile, only being able to move from the neck up did not give her as much expression as she would’ve liked to have, especially not without her bunny ears flicking about. She saw a yellow and a red light dance about closer. She blinked at them too.

Val thought that they had left behind tears when they joined up the resistance. They had seen bodies of friends, held lovers and family members alike as they bleed out in their arms, but for some reason, holding Cammie here, supporting Cammie like this as they drifted, something became unhinged.

Then another set of hands were coming up and helping Cammie push Val back, and then two more were yanking them away, separating the green and purple pilots as they drifted away from one another. Val was dragged to the surface, and Cammie was floating down, Chase’s hand curled around her wrists as they both reached towards where they had pushed Val, Cammie hands and fingers extended as if giving her the option to swim back down and take ahold of them.

“It’s okay, I’ll be okay.”

“Cammie, Cammie, no- both of you, get off of me!” They jerked about in Yasamin and Kazu’s hold, and Kazu had to swim around and wrap their arm around Valentina’s neck to get them to stop resisting.

“Goodbye, Val.” Cammie beamed just as Val reached the surface.

When Dr. Jha came by to alert them that they weren’t able to re-generate Cammie’s body, and her vital organs had collapse, Valentina thought the nanotech must have fried their brain too. Nothing, colors, shapes, words, nothing made sense anymore.

Yasamin and Kazu both put a hand around the distraught pilot, trying to offer words of comfort. It didn’t help.

“You’ll still be able to see her hologram, and talk to her in the mindframe,” Yasamin tried, “I’ve already been doing it for years with Chase-”

Valentina shoved both pilots away, and stormed off. RTASA was gigantic, smaller than the Anvil, but still too damn big, and Valentina just wanted to be back in Europe or the Ether, compressed between people on a small club dancefloor, with their mind cloudy for a different reason.

Instead, Valentina found a dark corner behind some robot, an artificial crawl space that would keep them hidden long enough that no one would bother them. They pulled the hood of their cloak over their head and ducked behind the green and white digitigrade legs and slumped down.

As the hours passed, Valentina’s voice got more and more raw, but they knew they could close the dam, not now, not yet. It wouldn’t close until Cammie came running through that door with Nugget on her shoulder or her rabbit ears twitching or her arms spread wide as she yelled about something new she had uncovered with the Doc’s brain in Caliban. At least it felt that way, but even Valentina knew that by the time Kazu or Yasamin came to drag them out of this spot too, that their tears would have long since dried up, and they would be left with only an itchy face and a sore throat to show for it. They never had been that loud of a crier either, but every hiccup, every suppressed sob that shook their body sent them another wave of cramps and spasms from their abdomen as they deprived their body of air.

Valentina was drowning, and they wouldn’t stop until Cammie broke through the surface.

Toonami Weekly Recap 09/07/2019

Dr. Stone EP#03 - Weapons of Science: Aware of Tsukasa's murderous intent, Senku sends him away to the source of the revival fluid while he and Taiju make a batch of revival fluid to finally revive Yuzuriha. Needing weapons of science to stop Tsukasa's murder spree, Senku and the others begin travelling towards Hakone, with Yuzuriha managing to find the Great Buddha of Kamakura to serve as a landmark. The trio eventually arrive at a volcanic hot spring, giving Senku the means to create gunpowder.

gen:LOCK EP#06 - The Only Me I Know: The Vanguard is left reeling by the encounter with the Union mech, who to their knowledge is another Julian. Julian tries to talk to Miranda, who is unable to accept the idea that he might not be "her" Julian. Upon returning to the Anvil, Julian confronts Dr. Weller about the mech: Weller admits that the mech is another instance of Julian's brain, his "Nemesis." Contrary to what he had been told, the program had been making back-ups of his brains since the start of the program, uploading copies into one while the other would be deployed into the field. The Union became aware of the gen:LOCK program and ambushed Julian on one of his missions, capturing him and his Holon unit. With no other option, the ESU downloaded the backup into Julian's real body and ended the practice of copying pilots for the rest of the program. Soon after Julian learns all of this, the Union launches an attack on the Anvil spearheaded by the same giant Behemoth mech that attacked New York alongside the Nemesis Julian, who angrily demands that they "kill the copy" and that the Union promised they could return him to his body. The Vanguard's Julian quickly attacks the Nemesis, signalling the start of the battle. The Holon units are dispatched alongside the tank pilots, where they face the Union forces. Kazu and Valentina engage in mindshare, providing his unit with some edge in the battle. Yaz offers to mindshare with Julian but is turned down. The Union's droids breach the Anvil in a bid for the gen:LOCK pilots, forcing Kazu, Yaz, Cammie, and Valentina to return to the base so they can escape on a transport with Dr. Weller's android unit Caliban, who is ordered to use the Omega Protocol. In order to buy them more time, Weller sacrifices himself by blowing up the lab with several Union soldiers inside of it. The gen:LOCK units manage to successfully escape on a transport with the help of Migas, and the Anvil are able to down the Behemoth. Unfortunately, this results in the release of a massive nanotech cloud that quickly overtakes the battlefield and the entire base with most of the Vanguard's personnel inside. Chase is unable to contact the control center and the ground forces, including Miranda, and is forced to join the rest of his team as they escape from the Union.

Fire Force EP#07 -The Investigation of the 1st Commences: Captain Leonard Burns of Company 1 gathers his Lieutenant priests Huo Yan Li, Hoshimiya Rekka and Flam Karim in Special Fire Grand Cathedral 1, suspecting that Captain Obi is making his move. Meanwhile, following the so-called joint exercise with companies 5 and 8, the company members hold a joint BBQ. Later, Captain Obi confers with Hibana who confirms that someone is creating Infernals around the Shinjuku District which comes under the jurisdiction of Company 1, and they agree to cooperate in investigating them. Obi uses the rookie training reassignment system to embed Shinra and Arthur with Maki Oze and Takeru Noto from Company 2 in Company 1. When they arrive, Shinra asks for a sparring match to which Burns agrees. Firstly, Takeru Noto competes against Rekka, and during the bout, Karim extinguishes stray fireballs with his ability to create ice from sound. Lieutenants Li and Karim withdraw from the contest and Burns takes on Shinra and Arthur himself. Burns easily defeats Arthur and deflects Shira's strongest attacks, and following their defeat they are placed under the care of Lieutanant Karim.

Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma (Training Camp Arc) EP#10 - The Supreme Recette: Soma apologizes for knocking Erina over, but Erina refuses his help, thinking that she is letting her guard down. In the bath, Soma meets alumnus and Totsuki Resort head chef Gin Dojima, who is surprised to see that Soma has finished the challenge so quickly. Dojima wishes Soma good luck as Takumi Aldini enters the bath, and Aldini is shocked to see Soma having casual conversation with a legend like Dojima. The next day, Soma and Megumi are assigned the task of making the Nine Vegetable Terrine, but this time individually instead of as partners. Alumnus Kojiro Shinomiya, who will be judging the dishes, tells the students to think of each other as enemies. In the mad rush to claim the best ingredients, the unassertive Megumi is pushed aside and finds only bruised heads of cauliflower remaining by the time she reaches the table. Thinking about what Soma would do in such a situation, Megumi uses wine vinegar to preserve the color and enhance the sweetness of the cauliflower. Shinomiya passes Soma, but fails Megumi for making unauthorized changes to the recipe. Soma defends Megumi fearlessly, angering Shinomiya, who reveals that he intentionally provided a limited number of good cauliflower heads to limit the number of students who could pass. A furious Soma challenges Shinomiya to a Shokugeki to get Megumi's expulsion rescinded.

Lupin the 3rd Part 5 EP#13 - The Bow, The Princess, and the Terrorist: As Ami tries to fit into boarding school in Annecy, she befriends fellow misfit Princess Dolma Sinha. Lupin's next target is the Bloody Teardrop, a national treasure of the south-east Asian kingdom of Padar which is currently worn by Dolma. However, a terrorist group calling itself the Whales of Liberation occupies the school and takes the students and teachers (including Fujiko, who has infiltrated the institute for the jewel) hostage. Fujiko frees Ami, and they team up to defeat them from within, aided by Lupin's gang who have also discovered the terrorists' presence. However, one of the teachers reveals himself as Ugo McGuire, a CIA special agent, who prepares to spirit Dolma away, stating that Padar is in danger.

Black Clover EP#86 - Yami and Vangeance: Yami continues his story to Asta, telling him of how he and Vangeance were vice-captains after their former captain Julius became the current Wizard King. Julius sends Yami and Vangeance to deal with bandits being led by traitors within the Magic Knights. Vangeance spread false rumors to trick the bandits into raiding two villages, one overseen by himself and the other by Yami. The bandits attacked Yami's village with Yami finding the bandit leader that escaped him years ago among them, easily defeating him despite the bandit possessing a powerful staff. But Yami is trapped by two traitorous Magic Knights, Goht of the Crimson Lions and Mohl of the Silver Eagles. They attempted to kill Yami to cover up their crimes, but Yami was rescued by Vangeance and they defeat the traitors. After their promotion to Squad Captains, Yami forms the Black Bulls to take in various misfits while Vangeance established the Golden Dawn to accept the nobles' exceptionally strong mages. Asta fails to see the moral of Yami's story, to never quit no matter how many times Yuno beats him, and is punished for being an idiot. Asta regains his former spirit and joins the other Bulls in waiting for the exam results before Mereoleona makes a sudden and violent arrival.

Gen:Lock - Characters

here’s a list of genlock characters and their names and what we currently know (based on information from twitter, the wiki, and what’s been seen from the current episodes)

Julian Chase

Julian Chase is one of the focus characters of the story. What we have learned thus far about him is that he is estimated to be around 21 years old, he is a pilot, he’s from Brooklyn, formerly part of the Vanguard, and he’s one of the very few who are compatible with the ‘e-brain’ of the Holon’s of the series. He was believed to be dead for the past 4 years, due to his plane crashing down after he had set off his ESD to buy everyone enough time to escape in the battle of New York in 2068. Currently, he can only interact with the world as a hologram. He’s the first to get to the gen:lock state, making him the first pilot of a Holon. He will be training new pilots in how to use the mechs, if they manage to pass this test. He is voiced by Michael B. Jordan.

Miranda Worth

Miranda Worth is another focus character of the show. She pilots a mech (not one of the Holons), is 21 years old, and a current lieutenant of the Vanguard. Since the battle of New York, she has become much more hardened and serious, and hesitant to allow others in. She was dating Chase before his ‘death’, and seems resistant in letting him back into her life after believing him dead for 4 years. She’ll also be assisting in the training of the new future pilots, and perhaps other recruits as well. She is voiced by Dakota Fanning.

Yasamin "Yaz" Madrani

Yaz is the second pilot to be compatible and succeed to connect to her Holon in the Gen:Lock program. She has military experience, having been part of the Union before transferring to the side of our protagonists. Not much else is known about her past, other than that she hails from Iran. She appears to be very serious, and not incredibly prone to being friendly or talkative. She is voiced by Golshifteh Farahani.

Kazu Iida

Kazu is one of the new recruits and potential pilots for the Gen:Lock program. He hails from Japan, and appears to have a very rebellious attitude, which cost him the respect and trust of his unit. It does not appear that he knows English. Much like the other new recruits, he’s not entirely sure of what’s going on or what’s expected of him. He is voiced by Kōichi Yamadera.

Cameron "Cammie" MacCloud

Cammie is the youngest recruit of the gen:lock program, and comes from Scottish descent. She seems to be highly curious and mischievous, and is rarely seen without her robotic pet named ‘Nugget’. She’s been described as ‘foul mouthed’, and also happens to be a hacker. She, like the other new recruits, doesn’t know what’s going on but seems to be excited for it. She is voiced by Maisie Williams.

Rob Sinclair

Not much is known about the actual Rob Sinclair, other than the fact he had made it to the final tests of the gen:lock program, and that he was a Specialist in the Vanguard. His current status is unknown, presumed dead. He had been replaced by a Union soldier, who attempted to steal one of the Holon’s. However, since the soldier was not gen:lock compatible, it appears to have killed him. He was voiced by Blaine Gibson.

Valentina “Val” Romanyszyn

Val is another one of the new recruits for the gen:lock program. They come from Ukraine, and is a former covert agent who thought they were done with fighting until they joined the program. They don’t appear to be incredibly interested in the whole deal, and just seems very disinterested with everything in general. They, like the other recruits, don’t really know what’s going on. They are voiced by  Asia Kate Dillon.

Dr. Rufus Weller

Dr. Weller is the scientist behind the gen:lock program (though he isn’t completely happy with the fact his program has been militarized). He seems to not let the seriousness of a situation way him down, coming off as a very eccentric individual due to it. He’s the one behind the breakthrough that led to the gen:lock program, and designed the ‘Weller Test’ that tests to see if one is compatible with the technology. He has a robotic helper named Caliban. He is voiced by David Tennant.

Other Characters

Miguel Garza - Engineer from Southern Texas. He goes by Migas (a nickname with a story he doesn’t like telling), and is known for being a goofball. Is currently in charge of Holon maintenance. Voiced by Miles Luna.

Raquel Marin - The Colonel of the Vanguard. She’s involved in the gen:lock mission, which is why her base is the one being used for it. She’s emotion invested in this war, and is of Puerto Rican descent. She is voiced by Monica Rial.

Jodie, Razzle, Leon - They are all members of the Vanguard. As it currently stands, Razzle is believed to have died in the Battle of New York. Jodie and Leon are friends of Miguel and Miranda, and currently serve a minor role. Razzle was voiced by Lindsay Jones, Leon is voiced by Gray G. Haddock, and Jodie is voiced by Chad James.

Gen: Lock Mortal Kombat Banter Part 3: Rufus Weller and his faithful robot Caliban have decided it’s time to give these pilots a real crash course.  Rufus: *Walks in handing data slates to Caliban to hold* US: Doctor, you’re coming with me.  Rufus: If my wife couldn’t get me to move I doubt you will lad.  US:  *Coin flips into air and transforms into nanotech* I doubt she had a murder cloud with her when she tried.  Valentina: *Removes camouflage cloak* Rufus: You should be careful with that. Don’t want to be mistaken for a peeping tom. Valentina: Don’t you mean peeping jane? Rufus: *pushes glasses up bridge of nose, Caliban steps in next to him* Doesn’t matter what it’s called so long as I know I’m safe when naked. Rufus: *Walks in handing data slates to Caliban to hold* Cammie: Is there a reason Caliban never speaks?  Rufus: I can’t have him making better jokes than me. Totally unacceptable.  Cammie:  *Nugget hops on Cammie’s shoulder* HA! Yasamin owes me ten bucks.  Julian: *Hologram appears* Rufus: Oh hello Julian.  Julian: Is it true? Am I just a copy?  Rufus: *sighs* I knew this day would for so long and now that it’s here I have no idea what to say.... Rufus: *Walks in handing data slates to Caliban to hold* Yasamin: So all this time you were testing people at their physicals to see if they were compatible? Rufus: It was either that or we go direct route and cut someones arm or leg off for testing. Yasamin: *Takes fighting stance* I can’t tell if you’re joking right now and that scares me. Kazu:  *Flips in and lands* Rufus: Kazu, can you fight Caliban for a minute? Kazu: Why would I want to fight your robot? Rufus:  *pushes glasses up bridge of nose, Caliban steps in next to him* Well if you didn’t then this would be a rather one sided match wouldn’t it?  Cammie: *Nugget running out, Cammie behind it to scoop it up* Rufus: Aw, you made a little Caliban.  Cammie: Call Nugget that again and she’ll gouge your eyes out.  Rufus:  *pushes glasses up bridge of nose, Caliban steps in next to him* Not sure what Caliban would do for me if Nugget did, he just stands in the background most of the time.  US: *Enters with coin flipping* Rufus: The problem with you Union people is you’d rather steal tech than make it yourself.  US: Way I see it it’s more cost effective to let others do all the spending and development.  Rufus: *pushes glasses up bridge of nose, Caliban steps in next to him* But that makes no sense. It’d be like a caveman stealing a biplane, sure you have it but you’ve no idea how to work it.  Julian: *Hologram appears* Rufus: Ah Julian, can you fight Caliban for me? Julian:  Doc, I’ve gone toe to toe with Union spider tanks.   Rufus: *pushes glasses up bridge of nose, Caliban steps in next to him*  Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to set Caliban’s settings to easy mode for you.

There a bullet wound in her jacket. Upsetting, but not unexpected considering how much fire they had come under in their escape. Something in her suit must had malfunctioned though, as a strong pain radiated from beside her ribs. Caliban had taken over flying the ship once they were far enough away from the Anvil. Far enough away to not have to worry about the union suddenly shooting at them again. 

After making her rounds to ensure everyone was okay, Yasamin ducked around a corner and relaxed for the first time since the attack. And as she did, the pain got worse, causing her to groan and place her hand there. Thankfully, there was no blood. The bullets hadn’t pieced the armor. But whatever had happened, it hurt. Hearing her name, she turned back into the main area to head over to everyone when a hand rested on her shoulder. Before she could look and see, Yasamin was guided into a seat and forced to sit, earning a grunt as the pain flared again.

                                                                                        “You need to rest now. Don’t move.”

Yasamin looked up to see Valentina standing above her. Glancing around quickly, there was no one else around really, since the others were up in the cockpit with Caliban for the moment. Letting her shoulders drops, she offered them a light smile. “Alright, I will. But if anything happens and I need to be back in that pilot’s seat, you’re not stopping me.” She chuckled for a short moment, stopping with a hiss as the pain worsened. Perhaps her rib had been cracked. “Thank you, Valentina.”
