The Bear - Vibes

Going along with the theme of vibes that they continue to mention in the show, I wanted to talk about the vibes the audience receives. Specifically, about relationships.

It's such an amazing show that everyone interprets certain relationships differently. This proves how well it was written, but also the audience's willingness to view it "as is", or read further into what is presented to the viewer. That can be displayed by tone, visuals, music, etc.

It does have to be recognized that things aren't always as they seem when dealing with The Bear. This includes relationships and the set up of them. Or the obvious vs inconspicuous.

It's interesting how, with a few looks, a couple conversations, the audience as a whole agreed that there is "something" with Chef Jess and Richie. S2 Forks

This also happens with Sydney and Luca. S3 Forever

Ted and Kelly (Claire's bestie) S2 The Bear

In S1, leading into S2, the audience thought that Marcus and Sydney had vibes.

The audience also picks up vibes from Marcus and Luca. S2 Honeydew

What's so interesting to me about this is how an audience is so divided on one possible relationship, Sydney and Carmy.

They have the most interactions and dialogue compared to the above.

As an audience, if you can watch Chef Jess eye Richie and get a vibe, then why are Sydney and Carmy interpreted so differently, when Carmy looks at Sydney the same way.

The audience doesn't even need to think or agree they will end up together but to completely ignore their vibe? That's odd

Dexter: "Well, maybe I've got some issues, but I'll have to set that aside for the audience. I'm just here to give them a good show, after all! I wouldn't want to drag them down with me."

Kai: "Of course I've got issues, but I'm, like, 14 and I'm still processing how shitty my parents are. Give me some time, for the love of god. Then we'll talk."

Mortis: "Of course I have issues, but frankly, I don't have the energy to deal with that anymore. I'm the conduit of death, I have more important things to worry about."

Bernadette: "Yes, I am dealing with some... issues, but there are people out there who need my help. It's for the best that I can focus on their needs."

Flick: "Yeah, I've got issues, but anyone in my place would. Besides, I kinda deserve to feel awful with how shitty I've been."

Nicky's First Ice-Skating Show: A Hello Neighbor: WTRB Fanfic.

(The scene starts with Nicky, Maritza, Enzo, and Trinity at the ice rink, skating around and having fun.)

Nicky: Whoo-hoo! I haven't had this much fun before! This is way better than high school math class!

Maritza: Damn right it is! Best day ever!

(Nicky flips and spins on one leg, spinning rapidly while Trinity giggles at her boyfriend's antics.)

Trinity: Nicky, stop spinning. Disney on Ice sent us letters! It's about Toy Story 2 on Ice!

(Nicky stops spinning, his eyes widening and he looks at the letter, his eyes growing wider.)

Nicky: WE GOT PARTS IN TOY STORY 2 ON ICE?! THAT'S TOTALLY AMAZING! WHAT ROLES DID WE GET?!

Trinity: I got Jessie! Cool!

Enzo: I got Woody! Awesome! Reach for the sky!

Maritza: I got Bo Peep! Wait, what role did Nicky get?

(Trinity looks at the cast list and her jaw drops.)

Trinity: HE GOT BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!

Nicky: Buzz Lightyear?! Which one, regular or utility belt?

Enzo: The regular Buzz!

(Trinity squeals excitedly and kisses Nicky on the cheek.)

Trinity: I'm so happy for you, sweetheart! You're gonna be everybody's favorite Space Ranger in an ice show!

Nicky: This is the coolest thing ever! I haven't been to Disney on Ice in a while!

Maritza: Well, the show's at the Crypto Arena, so we gotta go get ready!

Enzo: Last one there has to tell their secret!

(The four teens run to the Arena, with Nicky and Trinity at the lead. When they arrive, they start getting ready for the show. After a few hours later, they finally get ready.)

Nicky: This Buzz Lightyear costume is very cool! I even customized it to have pop-out wings and noises for the wrist laser.

Trinity: Wow, Nicky, you look so cute in that costume.

(Trinity pinches Nicky's cheek and kisses his forehead before putting his mask back on. Nicky blushes furiously and his wings snap open due to his flustered state.)

Enzo: They are such an adorable couple!

Maritza: For once, I agree with you, bro.

(The teens head onstage in their costumes and start ice-skating around, replicating the scenes from Toy Story 2 and doing various tricks onstage.)

Countdown to Christmas/A Merry Scottish Christmas Premiere held at The Grove on Wednesday, November 15, in Los Angeles, California.

Christmas comic for Huniepop - and with that we finished all the holiday comics for 2022! Fans helped me choose Polly and Abia as guests for this Brooke/Jessie event 

Overall, it was definitely a learning curve and pretty tough at times - there’s a huge difference between making one or two polished illustrations as opposed to drawing the same character consistently so many times. 

I did enjoy it though! And very proud of myself for carrying out this project till the end. Hope everyone ends 2022 on a good note, can’t wait to see you all next year!!
