desperate narrator

this story is a cycle, and you're spinning around it like a hamster in a ball being tormented by a cat. you know how this story ends. after all, you've told it a thousand times. but you try to change it every time. you love the people in this story more than anything. so watching them fall victim to the narrative breaks you in a way you can't begin to describe. but all you can do is tell the story── their story── with tears in your eyes. you're prone to anxiety and feelings of helplessness. you have so much love in your heart, and for once you wish it would change something. it didn't. it doesn't. it won't. but you refuse to stop telling the story. and you refuse to stop loving the people in it. in this way, no one is stronger than you. you just wish being strong hurt less.

open the floodgates

your frustration turns into tears quickly. the strength of your fury is so potent that it sets off the waterworks out of pure rage. you hate it, because whoever's pissed you off thinks it's funny, like you're not tough and you can't defend yourself. you can, you just need to get through the haze of emotions first.

i thought splatfest was next week (& only found out it was this week because i happened to check splatnet) so i missed half of it … really disappointing

#i probably would have known it was this week if i checked my dash but i haven't been on all week #because classes give me limited phone/computer time & lately I've been using that time to read comics or code #i'll probably be back soon but it's also nice to take a break for a few days. i literally only got on now because i wanted to complain abou #missing half of grand fest LOL. i wanted to see the performances while fighting against my joycon gyro #now i have to look them up instead… it's just not the same #i at least played for like an hour this evening tho. but tomorrow I'm out all day TT-TT they should have held it at a time convenient for m #such as next week. Oh well goodbye splatoon 3 #i guess it's better than missing it completely tho. that would have been extremely disappointing #it's also bittersweet that 3's already at end-of-life because it came out my first semester of college and now I'm graduating this semester #and then moving on to a different college next semester… life comes at you fast. and makes your game lifespan feel infinitely shorter #fiftytenpost #splatoon

frustration

In longing, you feel frustration. You feel that you've almost reached your desire one too many times and you don't understand why you keep getting denied. You feel the universe is taunting you, playing just beyond your reach and leaving you on the brink of breaking every time it dances away. When you let yourself feel your yearning, you bury your face in your hands and turn to look at the sky, not expecting an answer, but pleading for relief. There's a burn in your heart that you just can't explain in words but it's deep, you can feel it in your throat and just under your chest. You take a deep breath and exhale heavily. It settles you enough to continue on as you were. You see others living your desire and you don't feel jealous per se, but the burn raises in intensity and you just wish ... something. You want change from your current situation, at this point you don't really care what it is, just ... something. Have courage, my dear, you can brave the fires of this world if you so wish.
