Her eyes shone brightly with her admiration clearly showing. Not that she hadn't seen her perform those moves before, of course. She knew just how incredibly flexible she was.

When her adoptive brother approved of her going there, a wave of relief washed over her. "Awesome! I knew you'd say yes! I hope my teachers won't mind me answering questions quickly. I know I tend to interrupt a lot, so... I hope I make some new friends too." She could see they were getting closer. "Oh, we're almost there! Finally... it's kinda chilly today."

"I had a feeling you'd say that." He couldn't say he was surprised by this proclamation from Futaba. Sure, she was getting out more, but that didn't mean that it would change her likes and dislikes to a large degree. And honestly, it just wouldn't be Futaba if she wasn't deeply engrossed in anime.

"Sumire, huh?" It's been a while since he had seen the gymnast. He should at least try and visit her before he went back home after the break. "Kinda surprised. Not that you two wouldn't get along, but she's more...active than you." Considering it took even him a while to get used to the training that Sumire did with him, he can't imagine how the hacker would fare on that front.

When she brought up her promise list, he nodded. How could he forget? She made one with him as well. Then she revealed she was considering going to Shujin, and he stroked his chin in contemplation for a moment. "Well, it's better now than it was when I went there... and our road trip showed that you've gotten better at being around people. I think you should give it a try."

Phillip glances with a smirk resting upon his features, and leaning back slightly. "This is the month of spookiness, right? Perhaps we should... have a little fun together in the night while we can, no?" His eyebrows wiggles with a grin.

this story is a cycle, and you're spinning around it like a hamster in a ball being tormented by a cat. you know how this story ends. after all, you've told it a thousand times. but you try to change it every time. you love the people in this story more than anything. so watching them fall victim to the narrative breaks you in a way you can't begin to describe. but all you can do is tell the story── their story── with tears in your eyes. you're prone to anxiety and feelings of helplessness. you have so much love in your heart, and for once you wish it would change something. it didn't. it doesn't. it won't. but you refuse to stop telling the story. and you refuse to stop loving the people in it. in this way, no one is stronger than you. you just wish being strong hurt less.

Her mouth nearly dropped to the floor, and she covered it up. "Whaaaaat?! They did what?! He's such an innocent and pure guy! How could they do this to him?!" She was furious at everyone who wronged him, and pushed him around when he clearly didn't deserve it. It upset her that even in his world, crappy people still existed.

"I don't blame him either... it's so horrible. If he doesn't want to open up, that's fine. I used to be like that too. I'm still scared of being judged harshly by those awful adults. I'll never forgive them or what they did to Tails. We can form an alliance against them!"

He chuckles from the girl's response and smiles. "Yeah of course. I know I promise Akira that he would meet my friends too. Heh...I'm sure my friends would love yours. Finding a place to meet up is another story, buuut I ain't gonna worry until that time comes." Once Futaba asks about Tails' past and the smile slowly fades.

"Well...All I know is that his parents abandon him when he was young and well..." Folding his arms and ponder. "I had to save him from a bunch of bullies. He told me that he's been pushed around for a long time and his parents as well, but that's the extent of my knowledge." Shakes his head from the frustration and looking over at her.

"I know it's a sore subject for him and he doesn't open that stuff to me and I don't blame him."

He opened his mouth to say something to defend himself, yet nothing came out. He was at a loss for words. How stupid of him to feel this way about her. Truthfully, she was one hell of a woman and a dear friend to him, but a part of him got jealous when she was seen going on dates with someone he wasn't that familiar with.

Granted, she was allowed to hang out with or date whoever she wished. He had no control over her life.

"N-no, no, it's nothing like that." He stammered, waving his hands in front of him. He was getting flustered and crossed his arms to make himself look cool and composed about it. "I mean, I wouldn't mind getting to know him more. Is it... serious between you two?" He assumed that arranged marriage was over and done with, which was a huge relief. He's never met the guy, but he's sure he'd be nothing but a gold digger and a creep.

At the mere mention of more exercise, Ann let out a long sigh, already feeling tired from the short exercises she had done. "Okay, squats it is. Um, wait, do I have to pay you for all this?" She asked, just in case. In a way, this felt like having a personal trainer at the gym, only one who knew her and was patient with her. Regardless, she stretched herself out and began doing some squats, slowly.

The sight of Ann blushing certainly had Tenko feeling hot as well. Perhaps it was a good thing that the training had begun soon after. "Hmm... nice force behind the kick, but still a bit unrefined. Seems as if you aren't used to kicks, but that can be fixed!" Like most things with her, Tenko suddenly shifted her thoughts. "Maybe the best first exercise would be squats!"

"Sorry, I'll be more careful next time!" As shameful as it was for a first meeting, she got back into position and lined up the next shot, closing one eye to focus better. Her arm was still shaking, however, and she looked up at the young man. "Um... sorry, but do you happen to have any tips on how to do this properly? I'm afraid I'll hit someone again..."
