#Blue Tsunami 2024

Imagine waking up to an America that has elected its first woman President. An America that will continue trying to make things at least a little easier for everyone, and not just those who are rich. And an America where we know that we will NEVER have to worry about the orange man ever again.

Let's make that happen.

It is clear that the Supreme Court thinks it can override the Constitution. The US Constitution says that the Legislature can override a Supreme Court ruling by passing laws by 75% majority in the House, 75% majority in the Senate, and 75% of the States ratification. Article 14 Section 3 was passed that way yet the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional which they do not have the authority to do according to the Constitution. The press, Legislature, and office of the Presidency are not putting a stop to the abuse of power by the Supreme Court. This ruling is just another overreach by the Supreme Court.

You know the assignment.

Vote Blue. Vote en masse.

We outnumber the GOP 4:1 we can win this.

After three trips to Michigan I’m more determined than ever to flip Indiana blue in 2024. In the last 24 hours I’ve seen more “signs” of ignorance than I’ve seen in total all year where I live. It’s sickening that people are doubling down. Indiana wasn’t red when I moved there in 1991 and went blue for Obama in 2008. The energy right now is even stronger than it was then. Next Friday I will be attending a meeting to become acquainted with others in my community who are working for positive change. I believe there are many more like-minded folks than I realize. It’s time to stop cowering in fear and come out roaring!

Hey, I know the democratic party is moving towards fascism and is generally ineffective at making real change BUT

The republican party is 1, ten times worse and 2, seems to be losing credibility even among conservatives. Which leads me to a thought.

How big would a blue wave have to be to break up team red?

Because that would be great right? Not just because we could take some air away from the father right politicians. But that could hurt the DNC too. Many Republicans would probably join the democrats and the party would become larger and more ubiquitous initially. But I don't think they'd do anything to entrench a single party state. I think there'd be an open spot for a new second party like after the whigs disbanded. If we play our cards right that could be a real left leaning party and the dnc would become the conservative party (again). It's a bit of a long shot but if successful could be beneficial to the leftist cause.

But these are my unrefined thoughts, would love to hear some feedback on the matter

This is excellent, but don't get complacent. There was polling that had Clinton ahead by double digits in 2016.

We only win if we turn out, and by margins too big to convincingly burry with voter suppression tactics.

Meanwhile, if you're wondering how things are going in Trumpland (even before they literally played "My Heart Will Go On," famously the theme song about a sinking ship, at his Montana rally last night), it's apparently edging into the realm of possibility that picking JD Vance, senator from the state of Ohio, could cost Trump the state of Ohio.

Harrison Ford has never endorsed a candidate for President/Vice President before.

But today, he endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

Trump and MAGA revealed what they are at today's rally at Madison Square Garden-a clear attempt to invoke and recreate the infamous pro-Nazi rally there in 1939.

As one would expect, the rally was full of virulent racism and fear-mongering.

Of particular note was one speaker's racist comment comparing Puerto Rico, a US territory in the Caribbean, to garbage, which is getting backlash, and some frantic backpedaling from Florida Republican senatorial candidate Rick Scott.

While Puerto Rico does not have statehood, there are a LOT of Puerto Rican voters elsewhere in the country, particularly in Florida, so this is likely to backfire on Republicans. As of 2020, 13% of all Latino voters were Puerto Rican in origin- the second largest block after Mexican Americans.
