The Need for Political Authenticity
By, Cliff Potts, WPS News, Editor-in-ChiefBaybay City | January 17, 2025 In today’s highly polarized political climate, the act of lionizing politicians has become a common practice across social media and mainstream discourse. This glorification often leads to an unrealistic portrayal of political figures that can obscure their flaws and biases, ultimately hindering our democracy rather than…

These percentages are higher than I expected but still woefully low. I hope we beat them today.
Note that most of the states with the lowest participation are so-called "red states." The color of the map would look a lot different without the voter suppression in these states.

Key Players in the 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Elections
The 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections mark a crucial return to local democracy after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. Voter turnout has been significant, with historic participation from marginalized communities.
The 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election marks a crucial moment in the region’s political history. It signifies the first state-level election since the controversial abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. This landmark event stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its special status. It also placed the region directly under the central government’s control. As the elections unfold, they signal…

I am permanently stepping back from all delusional people (mostly extended family) in my life. I don’t want to debate with them, my energy is better spent elsewhere.
From this point forward I will counter anyone who makes a statement about this traitor’s great character, especially when it’s based on staged events any fool could see are for photo ops only. No way to polish this turd, nope not having it. 💩💩💩💩
OMG, I’m really disappointed with some of the folks, I never wanted to believe they were this stupid. I refuse to pretend it’s ok. Not a matter of politics at this point, it’s a chasm between polar opposite personal values and worldviews.
Time to unleash and amplify the energy from the dawning of the age of Aquarius. It’s real, y’all.

Hey fellow @ 3rd party\nonpartisan Americans,
It is intentional that the current status quo makes you feel uncomfortable to the point of silence; that allows big business to keep putting YOUR money where THEIR elected official's mouth is.
Demand Dems support Ranked Choice Voting in exchange for the vote.
Vote for Ranked Choice so you can vote honestly, not strategically.
But until then;

AN OPEN LETTER to THE PRESIDENT & U.S. CONGRESS; STATE GOVERNORS & LEGISLATURES
Implement Ranked-Choice Voting & Election Reforms For Vote Integrity
22 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!
I am writing to urge your immediate action on introducing and passing ranked-choice voting (RCV) and other vital election reforms at both the federal and state levels. As a concerned constituent and advocate for democratic principles, I believe that these reforms are essential to improving our electoral processes and ensuring fair and representative governance.
Ranked-choice voting has proven effective in promoting democratic outcomes by enabling voters to express their preferences more fully and ensuring that elected candidates enjoy broad support from the electorate. RCV mitigates wasted votes, reduces the spoiler effect, and fosters more inclusive and issue-focused campaigns.
In addition to advocating for ranked-choice voting, I strongly support comprehensive election reforms, including campaign finance reform, gerrymandering reform, and initiatives to enhance voter access and participation. These reforms are critical to strengthening our democracy and restoring trust in our electoral system.
The implementation of Ranked-Choice Voting is a crucial step towards enhancing our democratic process. RCV, which allows voters to rank candidates in order of preference, ensures that elected officials have majority support, eliminates the spoiler effect, and encourages positive campaigning. This system is already in use in several U.S. cities and countries like Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand. Alaska recently became the second state to adopt RCV for statewide offices, following Maine's lead. It is time to consider this reform at both federal and state levels to ensure our electoral systems reflect the diversity of our nation and empower all voices. Therefore, I urge you to introduce and support legislation that promotes RCV and other election reforms.
We must recognize that Americans are more than a two-party system. Let's take meaningful steps to ensure our electoral systems reflect the diversity of our nation and empower all voices.
Thank you for considering my perspective and taking decisive action to improve our electoral processes. I stand ready to support your efforts in advancing these important reforms.

The State of Voting in America 2024
What do you think about the current state of voting in America? Voting is the cornerstone of any democracy, serving as the primary means by which citizens influence government policy and leadership. In America, however, the state of voting is increasingly dire. Voter suppression, outdated infrastructure, and political resistance to reform are pervasive issues that threaten the integrity of the…

America needs MAX PARTICIPATION for the economic blackout this Friday. This thing is snowballing fast because so many reasons are popping up for why people are doing it (including some "what it's really about" lists). A short list:
-inflation/the egg thing
-protesting the trend of corporations getting bigger and richer and more powerful while normal people are finding it harder and harder to keep up with the cost of living
-protesting corporations who heard Trump say diversity is out and went "Oh thank God" and immediately dropped (sorry, "didn't renew") their DEI policies, their support for the LGBTQ+ community, all of it
-protesting consumerism/huge corporations in general
-Trump giving a giant chainsaw of power to Musk and they are literally having fun with it
-the giant, reckless cuts Trump is making in general
-Jon Schwarz started a grassroots movement for government accountability and corporate reform and is going to make a million bucks this week selling Tshirts of his Blackout Tour
-moderate Republicans, Trump leavers, and even Trump supporters are starting to realize that Trump needs reining in from every angle possible because wow.
IT DOESN'T MATTER, at least not on Friday. The point is that the energy this has gathered is part of a wider pool of protests, boycotts, spending freezes, etc. that are gathering steam fast. And that's a good thing, because this Friday, Feb 28th, has become a productive, nonviolent flashpoint. There is so much anger and fear building right now in America and this is a good, healthy way for it to emerge. But if participation is too spotty, it will lead to absolutely nothing.
So please, less gatekeeping and more welcoming. Honestly, for the sake of max participation, if even one of these reasons matter to you, or matters to people that you care about, please participate.
Tl;dr: What is Friday really about? It's about momentum. Please, participate.

White Democrats really need to realize that they better be praying, hoping and wishing that Kamala Harris runs again because Black People aren’t going to back a white man in 2028. That’s just not going to be reality.
We are used to the bullshit but the limit is now here. So frankly, that’s another major reason why I don’t need to bother with the media. Kamala Harris did not lose by that much and it would be dumb as fuck if white Democrats think Black People are going to get behind whatever white candidate is comfortable for white Democrats to show up. Especially after how white Democrats treated Joe Biden
Tumblr media
Oh and it’s always FUCK LEFTISTS. We could’ve had President Harris but since leftists are brats who don’t live in the real world; we have Trump.

Listen to Bernie. Bernie is right. There’s too much at stake to sit this one out. Vote to elect Kamala Harris and we can continue the conversation in 2025. The alternatives leave no path forward for helping Palestinians and bring severe repercussions for women in America. 💗💗💗💗
