eughhh i feel dumb
#one of my best friends is coming over and ive been ghosting them (like pretty much everyone) for a couple months#and i think im reading into it too much but it seems like shes upset with me? idkk but i don't wanna ask bc if she IS mad at me that means#we have to talk about it and im Not in the right state for that atm#she has every right to be upset just like everyone else but i really dont want her to be#both bc i love her and them and i don't want to hurt them and bc i honestly don't wanna have to answer for it#'yeah every time smth even remotely resembling obligation comes up my skin feels like it's gonna peel away from its body and scuttle away'#like. i should not be terrified of it but it's like my tendons are splitting and i can't close my fist around anything#it all just slips through my fingers. but i still feel like it's my fault#selfishly i just wish they wouldn't ever bring it up. me taking forever to respond and stuff#i don't really like being teased about it but i can't just hurt them and then ask them not to bring it up yk#even if i don't super feel in control of the whole responding and socializing and functioning thing#i am. really really burnt out i think#but i don't wanna make my friends feel guilty for wanting to be around me bc 1) thats normal 2) thats an honor 3) theyre not doing anything#wrong by like. texting me. it's not their fault it feels so bad#especially since im not telling them bc that is itself an obligation#every reminder of something i have to do has felt physically painful more and more#everything from doing dishes to answering texts to cleaning my room to reading a book my dad likes#every day there's a dozen reminders of how im letting the people i love down and it looks to them like i just don't care enough#and in reality my friends are and have always been understanding. i know that. im just getting really in my head about it rn#it's been building a lot this past year. i thought i was getting better but im just.. really stuck rn#ughh i wish i could cancel. and i hate that bc i miss her and i know she's gotta miss me too but we have to talk about the foster turtle#so i cant back out now. aughhhh it's so dumb i feel so helpless and useless every time i think about anything but what's right in front of#me. ive been running from everything much more consciously lately and it's fucking embarrassing and stupid and basically im just feeling.#really really lame. shitty ass body and shitty ass brain and i don't think anyone really believes me when i blame them and not me#i just have to trust in the goodness of my friends more than the badness of myself for hurting them. two titans clashing#ughh anyway. whatever#i wanna talk to one person in particular bc they don't really make me feel that obligation as much but then im like if i respond to them i#have to respond to everyone else. it's dumb. ugh if you read this acm im thinking of you sorry my brain is being difficult <3

Also protip in general when it comes to US healthcare:
It's starting to actually be cheaper to pay for things out of pocket. It used to be an actual savings to have healthcare insurance cover most of your expenses, but given how expensive healthcare is now, most insurance plans have been replaced by high deductible plans that have a yearly limit of like 6-9k/individual. Those plans work by agreeing to allow a certain amount of charges per service/visit, but it's not always the most affordable option. Sometimes the insurance will allow more than what your doctor may charge if you did self-pay.
For instance, say you need a MRI or a CT scan outpatient. If you were to go through insurance, the insurance may tell you it's $900 for that scan. If you ask for a cash price (not use your insurance), many places will charge roughly half of that for the same service. Same goes for seeing the doctor. Your insurance may allow $350 for a visit to your PCP, but the cash price may only be $150.
Health insurance at this point is catastrophic insurance. Basically to help cover you from a 1 mil+ hospital bill god forbid something happens to you.

These are $30 for one but stitches at the hospital are more expensive so this is pretty damn great

Glowing skin is the dream of many people, but it also requires lots of effort to maintain. Many different products are present in the market, which claims to be best and contain non-vegan ingredients, gluten, and unwanted fragrances. Dry skin faces problems the most because not all ingredients suit the skin.
The Glow Mis company makes the best vegan products for all skin types, free from fragrance and gluten. The Glow Mis has the best Face cleanser for dry skin. Let's see more details about that cleanser.

Best ingredients: The product is made from the best quality plant derivatives. No ingredient includes extra fragrance or gluten. All ingredients are vegan, and the dry skin cleanser includes ingredients like extracts of Bakuchi fruit, surfactants, cucumber extracts, and much more.

I look forward for when my ear infection is gone. And to continue developing a body and hair ritual out of love.
#i have had an ear infection since Saturday. it was diagnosed on Monday and I was given ear drops.#Plot twist: the ear drops could not reach the infection. so the infection worsened. I went to a walk in again on Wednesday to have this#revealed. there is so much pus in my ear that my ear drum cannot be visualized. So I got a sick note for the rest of the week (doctor was#pretty insistent that I should not take just one day off#but the rest of the week!#anyway I look forward to feeling better. i want to be sure I take care of my hair as it gets longer.#so I have my tried and true jack59 citrus curly hair shampoo and conditioner bar (conditioner can be left as a leave in)#then I alternate a hair mask once a week. one is hair strengthening. one is hair softening.#i also have my satya for psoriasis but once a month I have to use a clarifying shampoo because satya has beeswax and leads to build up#I have two other hair/scalp oils that I use as pre treatment until I can figure out the minimal amount of oil to be useful#also during showering I have a scalp brush to really get my shampoo in my scalp and a playlist explicitly for showering#there are other things I plan to get like a silk bonnet abd microfibre towel from curle shopp#and I may try the LOC method for my hair as it gets longer#I have slowly been adding other techniques for my hair too#and then for my body I made a vody e#a body exfoliant that's more like a body polish and looks like ground beef#and then of course soap and a body balm that has calendula and other stuff#not to mention some face care. Alas#my face does best with NOTHING but skin cancer does not give a shit about that thus I must clean my face after sunscreen#I look forward to having energy again to do proper self care things. such and paying attention to thinks and cleaning dishes and cooking too#my post

Hey there, beauty squad! Let's talk about something real: the filter frenzy.  According to a recent Pew Research Center, over 80% of teens in the US use social media, and a significant portion use filters to "enhance" their appearance in photos and videos.  We get it – wanting to look your best is natural. But here at Mason Rx Pharmacy, we believe true beauty radiates from within.
Tumblr media
Why Ditch the Filters?
Filters are fun, but they can create unrealistic beauty standards.  Studies show constant exposure to filtered images can lead to lower self-esteem: and a distorted perception of beauty.  Wouldn't you rather rock your natural glow with confidence? ‍♀
Mason Rx: Your Partner in Inner & Outer Beauty
At Mason Rx, we believe beauty starts from within. That's why we offer a massive selection of over 450+ health and beauty supplements designed to help you achieve a radiant complexion, healthy hair, and strong nails – all naturally!
Here are some Mason Rx must-haves to ditch the filters and embrace your natural beauty:
1. Suave Moisturizing Body Wash - Cocoa Butter & Shea (15 Fl Oz): Pamper your skin with this luxurious body wash infused with nourishing cocoa butter and shea butter, leaving you feeling soft and smooth.
User Testimonial -
"I used to be so self-conscious about dry skin, but since using Suave Moisturizing Body Wash, my skin feels amazing! It's helped my confidence soar." - Sarah K., College Student
2. White Diamonds Body Radiance Perfumed Body Powder (2.6 OZ): Keep things fresh and fragrant with this classic, light-scented body powder.
User Testimonial -
"This body powder is a lifesaver in the summer heat! It keeps me feeling cool and confident all day long." - Emily J., Marketing Professional
3. Neutrogena - Beach Defense - Water + Sun - SPF 70 (1.0 FL OZ): Sun protection is essential for healthy, glowing skin. This broad-spectrum SPF 70 sunscreen provides powerful protection against harmful UVA/UVB rays.

As a flip side, if you do have any of these issues but you don't seek medical help for them because you have them under some control and seeking medical help would be expensive / emotionally fraught / something you've tried before that didn't help / more effort than your current approach:
that's fine for you, it is okay to not get it if you have a workaround
someone else in your situation might benefit more from medical help than you feel you would, and that's fine for them
you do still deserve medical attention and support, even if you aren't getting it / are reluctant to get it (for example, because you tried before and it was an unpleasant enough experience that you don't want to get it)
Always feel bad when I see someone say something like "I don't have a disability but I have [something that is a disability but society doesn't treat like one]"
Migraines. Food allergies. GERD. Vision problems. Skin problems. For people that menstruate, conditions that cause irregular and painful cycles. Those are all disabling. Anything that impairs you from functioning or completing a basic life task without accommodation is a disability. Anything that makes you spend days in bed during a flare up is a disability! Not everyone experiences your symptoms and you're not being weak or whiny.
Mental illnesses that people treat as "mainstream" these days like anxiety, depression, or ADHD are still disabilities. Overcoming a massive struggle just to get out of bed, slow down your thoughts, or focus on what you need/want to do is disabling. Starting the day with less mental energy than most people is disabling.
For the migraine people: yes, everyone gets headaches, but no not everyone gets migraines. It's a condition that can be inherited in which our nerves are literally wired differently and more sensitive than someone who doesn't get migraines.
For the food allergy and digestive disorder people: if you eat something your body can't tolerate, you become sick. Doesn't matter if it's a trip to the ER or skin irritation for a few hours, that's a negative response in your body. Going hungry at social events because you can't eat anything, that's not something you just have to grin and bear. Prohibitively expensive or hard-to-find accessible food. Most people have the privilege of not worrying about eating.
For people with abnormal menstrual cycles: you don't have to suck it up because "lots of people get periods, no one likes them, but they all deal with it." Majority of people who get periods don't spend days in bed with debilitating pain or nausea. Your heightened struggle is real. Going months between cycles can increase your risk of health conditions down the line, and it's good to speak to a gynecologist if you have access to one.
If you are feeling discomfort on a regular basis in any part of your body, or if you usually feel unwell after eating, that isn't normal and you deserve medical attention and support
#I tend to not think of the things I have on this list as disabling because I'm in a place where I have those accommodations#such as having access to food that doesn't make problems flare up#and keeping skin issues from being too tricky#and to be honest I am absolutely fine with irregular periods and do not want to go to the GP to get them back to being regular#because then I will have a definite one week a month where stuff is painful rather than sometimes one week in eight#and OTC painkillers and hot water bottles are enough and I've only once burned my back bad enough to blister by accident#but that said#the digestive disorder one hits strongly for me#any social event I go to I need to know what food is being served or where I can get an alternative#having limited food options on an isolated campus was one reason I left a past job#and I don't want to have to bug people about food requirements because it is honestly worse to tell them#and find out that they don't care#or that they do care and will get it wrong#or that they will do their best with what you tell them which is the short form of your dietary requirements#because it feels rude to drop full FODMAP on people at short notice#it feels worse to do that than to just not ask and work around it#on a lighter note it is really nice that when you ask for oat milk at Starbucks#they check whether it's allergy or preference#THANK YOU SO MUCH#that makes it easier for them because they don't have to clean-room everything#and easier for me because I get my chocolatey milkshake a bit sooner because a tiny bit of cross-contamination is fine for me

kidnapper!simon riley when you warm up to him. cw: kidnapping and stockholm syndrome
simon was a selfish man, a pure debauched and corrupt soul with immoral fantasies. none of which he had acted out, because no one had satisfied that one itch he couldn't scratch, until he caught eye of a sweet thing like you.
met purely in passing, not sparing him a second glance as you ushered by. he wasn't surprised, a pretty thing like you wouldn't dare pay mind to a sickening man such as himself, even if you hadn't known it in the moment.
but he knew he had to have you, oh, you were such an enigma, one he wanted to pry apart himself, crack you rib by rib until your heart laid unprotected to him. such a pretty thing he wanted to have.
oh, and even prettier you are when you cried, thrashing and writhing against him. you fought hard, harder than he expected for a little darling he painted you to be. his dark voice cooed in your ear, asking, almost sweetly, for you to calm down.
how could you, though, as he took you far from the city, a little cabin in the woods with smoke billowing out of the brick chimney. homey, almost, if it weren't for the fact he dragged you through the forest, hauling you roughly over his shoulder the more you struggled.
he kept you in the dark, dingy depths of the cellar, your soft sobs causing his skin to crawl. sure, he felt bad at your broken cries, but he wasn't plagued with guilt, or remorse, it didn't keep him up at night.
he was a poor man, a social reject, and the fact you treated him as such is what kept him up. he was gruff, blunt, unwanted and cryptic. it didn't stop him from fucking his fist, rough palm tightly wound around his aching, meaty cock drooling with pre. head thrown back and pupils blown as he imagined your tear-stained face before he came on his soft stomach, cleaned himself up, and rolled over in bed.
but he took care of you, or at least he tried. you didn't eat the food he beared, in fear of poison, or wear the clothes he provided, because maybe that would be acceptance. it caused a frown to watch you grow thinner.
he watched the way you recoiled from his dirty hands, stained and tainted, even he was hesitant to touch your pure skin, but after a while, he realised you might never come around, and he couldn't let you starve. not after all his effort.
sure, you were squirming under his muscly arms, nails digging into his flesh as he gently spooned food to your lips, holding you against his broad chest. it was a slow process, but the more he managed through to your throat, the more you relaxed.
your body remained tense and poised, but at least you were no longer fighting him and now eating. admittedly, it tasted good, and maybe that's where everything turned around, he thought.
because now the house was free-reign, no longer did he keep you in that musty cellar, but he did proof the house of any escape. with this new space, unbound, it was like you had reverted to your old behavior, until eventually, your old habits began to die.
you didn't know why or how it had developed, but now you had such a deep yearning, an insatiable want, for domesticity that you'd start lingering by his side, like a rough shadow, but you'd still stumble back if he turned too sharply, or took a step too quick.
he didn't mind, though, he just hadn't expected it, not after you'd put up such a fight when he first took you, but he remained cautious. maybe you'd become a fawn, appeasing him until he had given you enough freedom to slip from his grasp.
but you looked to him with doting eyes as you slipped under his arm, face nuzzled into his broad chest, hearing the way his heart thumped. it made you feel warm, and fuzzy. you couldn't help but feel bad for simon, depraved and socially excluded, a truly sick man. maybe it was best to give him what he wanted.
the wooden floors creaked barely under your weight as you carried yourself from the uncomfortable couch in the living room, the flames in the fireplace burning out as night began to settle. simon lay in the haunting dark of his bedroom, blankets lazily thrown over him as he laid in his cold, lonely bed.
his ears perked at the sound of movement, hairs raised on the back of his neck, and he held slight fear that maybe you'd come to stab him in his sleep, but all worries dissipated as the bed dipped, sheets ruffling as you tucked yourself into his chest, leeching his warmth as he held you through the night. pressing a kiss to your temple at your acceptance, that you were now his.
