Thanks! It's not a direct sequel. I imagine that... like you said... they've had a couple of adventures between the events of the movie and what goes on in my comic (which means few extra nuggets of trauma that Dimentio gets to use against Luigi in his mindscape.)

Frustrating when a VC-funded company gets credit for being the "first" and the "leader," when they had a sub-component demo the same week we had a full-system demo. And because we're an employee-owned company working off of government contracts, well, most government contracts get slapped with an ITAR label (an old Cold-War-era law saying basically sharing scientific information counts as illegally selling arms/munitions). So if you want to publicize your work, including your company's products, you have to appeal that label. (Universities have specifically negotiated a blanket exemption, so if you spend your whole life in academic science you might never even know about this.)

(My previous employer filed those appeals several times a year in order to do press releases and publish journal articles and apply for patents. I think every single information-release appeal they filed went through, because there's no reason any of this stuff should be labeled as arms--it's literally the same stuff universities are doing. wait tell me more abt tbs podcast? what is it about exactly? i’m always looking for new podcast audio dramas (if that’s what it is?)

YAY ACTIVATING MY TRAP CARD! yep its an audio drama. the bright sessions is, for the most part, the recorded sessions of joan bright, therapist for the strange an unusual, or atypicals. theyre not superheroes by any means but people who have some kind of ability - her main three patients that we hear from are a time traveller, an empath, and a telepath! the episodes start off pretty short, 10-20 minutes long, and are recordings of her sessions with these patients where a lot of the focus isnt on superpower training or anything but traditional coping skills, emotional intelligence, anxiety, trauma processing, etc

as the show goes the eps get a bit longer and more complicated than just a session recording. joan’s history with a questionable secret organization called the atypical monitors, or AM, becomes more important. it gets into shady government organization territory and sort of transitions from patient logs to communication between allies against the AM and others. but still some therapy.

its got a nice range of diverse characters in terms of age, ability, orientation, why they seek therapy, etc, and one of my favorite shitty antagonists ever <3 + like i said short eps at first getting up to around 25-40 minutes later in the show. theres 4 main seasons (about 56 episodes total), a season of one off eps about other patients dr bright has, and 2 seasons of spin off podcasts following up the main plotline. i really love it its so fun and goes down really smooth i am always shilling it because it rules!!
