FlipaClip premiumed it’s shit now it’s a fucking supcription service, I got the one time payment before the switch but my friends didn’t so it just grinds my fucking gears

Something is genuinely want to do if I had any knowledge on organization or app design is to put together a team of programmers/app-maker-people and make like an entirely free free animation/art program that has all the stuff but with tutorials and a simplified layout

Idk how realistic it could be but we could get money from kofi/patreon stuff maybe and like I’d want to optimize it as much as possible too and be accessible on as many different softwares like I’d want this shit to run on a CALCULATOR/j

Again it’s just a bit of a silly idea that may not be achievable at all I don’t know anything about programming but a guy can dream

Though any programmers/app designers here I’d really like to hear your thoughts/critiques please as long as they remain in good faith and respectful!

never actually thought they could make the youtube app worse but look at that.

i literally have the tallest phone known to man yet i am physically unable to see any of the channel's most recent/featured videos in favor of an algorithmically picked pool of videos in this new For You column.

and before you had the entire bottom half of the screen vacant in terms of input - meaning you could very easily swipe right to get to the Videos tab. the part ive marked in yellow here is literally the only space on screen you can do that now.

theyve made accessing THE VIDEOS TAB on YOUTUBE an active nuisance.

...MyFitnessPal

You might have noticed I am tracking my food in another app, not MyFitnessPal. I'm giving the MacroFactor app another try (after many years), because the MyFitnessPal is a frustrating, slow, badly functioning garbage app.

I've been a customer of theirs for a number of years and its pretty sad to see how badly regressed their app has become.

So far MacroFactor is working a lot better - fast startup, responsive. They've improved the usability for entering foods since the last time I used it, and their food database is also looking good.

I've signed up for a one week trial, and after that I'll see about switching over. I probably have some number of months left on my MFP annual subscription, so might use both in parallel for a while.

I'll keep you posted on how I get on with it.

the FAB is an Android material design element. it's not really used on iOS so it's unfamiliar to users. moreover it blocks part of the view. it only makes sense in apps that don't really use that part of the screen as much
