I proudly present you : an in-development pixel art editor! Largely oriented at tilesets and charsets, Voidsprite supports custom-size grids alongside resize-canvas-by-grid-size and resize-canvas-by-grid-count, alongside numerous (and growing with future update) supported image formats. Yo! Humble Bundle has a great deal on art software and resources going on for $30 USD (about $40ish CAD) that comes with a 1 year license for Clip Studio Paint PRO, a license for Paintstorm Studio, AND a license for Realistic Paint! The latter of which I had WAY TOO MUCH FUN drawing in, it's less of a drawing app and more like an interactive relaxation art game because it fuses realistic art tools such as pencils, watercolor, and oil paint with a very interactive UI. Look what I made with it using the charcoal tools! And unlike my art classes in college, no mess! 😭😆 (you can watch the timelapse if you want to see it made in real time, in which i struggle to draw a single nose LMAO)

Soo yeah, this bundle is super worth it especially if you don't have Clip Studio Paint PRO yet and have been wanting to try it. It also comes with some 3D models and other resources for Clip Studio that are pretty handy, but the three pieces of software it comes with are definitely the real value here. It's only available for THREE MORE DAYS !! and as per Humble Bundle tradition, the profits from the bundles goes towards charity - in this case, it's No Kid Hungry, a charity organization that helps provide free school lunches to children in America.
(oh, and in case you're someone who already owns Clip Studio, I can confirm you CAN just give the license key to someone else, which is what I did LMAO)
This isn't a sponsored post or anything btw I just had a blast making charcoal art in it and I'm super hyped to play around with all the other tools it has to offer, it's full of a lot of fun secrets that I'm still unearthing (•̀ᴗ•́)و

What medium do u use? 👀
What art tools
Digital? Traditional? (Im guessing Traditional. I looked at the art. its very yummy >:3 )
What tools/brushes do you use?
What program/paper/sketch book do u use?
I need to knoww its so prettyyyyyyy
When I'm drawing digitally I use my huion kamvas 20 tablet :3 a very solid lad. If I'm drawing traditionally I'm usually just sketching so it's whatever pens and paper I can get my hands on
Digital mostly, actually! Only one doodle I've posted so far has been traditional I think. Thank you though!
I mostly just use the default brushes on CSP, especially the g-pen and mechanical pencil.
As for what sketchbook I use... The cheapest ones I can find! So it differs most times I get a new one (I've currently got around.. something over 50)

Clip Studio Paint is on sale for $19 right now and I'm sorely tempted. Does anyone here use it? Would you recommend it? I've been using Krita for a few months but it lags a lot when I've got the number of layers it takes to do comics so the idea of something a little beefier is very tempting.
This is not an ad because I genuinely do not know if this is a good idea.

FlipaClip premiumed it’s shit now it’s a fucking supcription service, I got the one time payment before the switch but my friends didn’t so it just grinds my fucking gears
Something is genuinely want to do if I had any knowledge on organization or app design is to put together a team of programmers/app-maker-people and make like an entirely free free animation/art program that has all the stuff but with tutorials and a simplified layout
Idk how realistic it could be but we could get money from kofi/patreon stuff maybe and like I’d want to optimize it as much as possible too and be accessible on as many different softwares like I’d want this shit to run on a CALCULATOR/j
Again it’s just a bit of a silly idea that may not be achievable at all I don’t know anything about programming but a guy can dream
Though any programmers/app designers here I’d really like to hear your thoughts/critiques please as long as they remain in good faith and respectful!

What app do you use? To draw?
i use Sai 2 for drawing, GIMP and Clip Studio for layout/effects, and sometimes Blender for making 3d references.

artists of Tumblr HELP
Im attempting to start up with digital art once again, however my old wacom pad has died :(, So does anyone have any reccomendations in both Equiptment and software? Im quite used to using Ibis paint one my tablet (thats since been stolen by my younger brother), and im not willing to get an Ipad js for procreate (for many reasons).
so if anyone has budget friendly and good or decent quality in drawing equiptment and software/apps, please let me know!!!
And if youre an Australian artist, PLEASE HELP ME OUT, shipping is exspensive and everytime i try and research on google and tiktok, its only reccomending apple products or 1500+ dollars worth of equiptment alone...

Ho-ly shit, I actually did it. I got PaintDotNet working in linux! I can move windows around, I can save files, and it might be outdated but it actually works! I used some KDE wizardry to fix the issue with windows not moving properly and protontricks seems to manage the calls decently, I assume due to DXVK. I don't know what to say except that I didn't expect to get this far... I've heard that it wouldn't detect pressure sensitivity, even if you did manage to get it working, but my drawing tablet is broken right now so I can't really confirm or deny.

Hey! Okay so what are your favorite art programs to play with? Don't care about platform, just wanna know what you have fun with!
Clip Studio Paint is my go-to for my comics, the PRO version alone comes with loads of features and tools that are great for both illustrating and making comics! (and the software goes on sale usually at least twice a year so there's always an opportunity to grab a perpetual license for a very reasonable price if you're willing to play the waiting game)
When I'm on my iPad (usually at work where I'm away from my PC setup) I bounce between the mobile version of Clip Studio and Procreate, the latter of which I really like using for doing my tattoo designs and otherwise just designing simple stuff on the go.
I'm also currently falling massively in love with Realistic Paint Studio, though I will express it's less of art software and more like an interactive art 'game', in the sense that it's built around offering an immersive space for creating traditional art with an interactive UI and tools. I personally wouldn't use it to create any of my actual professional works or comics as it's limited in its canvas sizes and doesn't offer any of the more advanced tools that art software like Clip Studio and Photoshop would offer, BUT it's a load of fun to play with and build sketches and illustration ideas through, especially if you're like me and get anxious about working with traditional paints out of fear of "wasting" them. It's actually helped make watercolor make a LOT more sense to my brain and I'm hoping that'll transfer to real life if I ever decide to take up watercolor again!

Found an amazing video essay that I need to share on here - about how predatory for-profit art software is. Grapples with questions I've also had, as a professional artist. Going to use this as motivation to finally learn Da Vinci to kick my AfterEffects habit
