14. Favorite motifs

I want to combine my two favorite unhinged fan theory factories into one:

Gil-galad is Adar's son

Okay, now that I have your attention, let's go on a journey that starts with two things:

Thing the first: I really love people's unhinged theories that Adar is a canon character. I don't think he is; I think he's just some guy that Rings of Power made up but it amuses me to no end when people come up with convoluted theories to make him a guy from canon.

Thing the second: The Silmarillion fandom has a long-standing in-joke about who Gil-galad's father really is. Christopher Tolkien told us that it was Fingon in the Silmarillion and later regretted it, because there was so much confusion in his father's notes on the subject and so many different candidates. Cue all kinds of cracky theories of who Gil galad's gil-gal-dad is. I would like to submit mine.

How does this theory work?

Well it's quite simple actually. Adar and some elven thrall lady hit it off in Angband and have a kid together kinda by accident through weird Angband-based magic. That is a problem because now she's got this like elf-looking baby that has black blood and also Angband is no place for an elf-looking baby. This could get them both into extremely capital 'b' - Bad - trouble.

So, Adar takes that baby and he sneaks into an elven camp and he does that old movie trope where he leaves the baby on the doorstep and then makes a noise so that that people inside the house will hear it. Only this time, it's a war tent and the person inside is Fingon.

Fingon picks up this adorable baby and the baby kind of looks like him and he's like well - I could adopt this baby right? So he goes back to a fort with this baby and Fingolfin takes one look at his son and takes one look at that baby and says to himself "my very gay son did probably did not produce this baby. However, it is probably the only grandchild I will get from him and he is my heir." So welcome home, son and grandson.

Is there any evidence?

Exhibit A: The GIF set that started it all. Look at the similarities! Connect the dots! And thank you, @fukutomichi, for starting off this crazy unhinged theory.

Exhibit B: During Season 2, Episode 1 "Elven Kings Under the Sky", there is a moment where the camera lingers on Adar while Gil-galad is singing his song. Now they actually probably did that because they wanted to remind the audience that Adar was formerly an elf, but this is an unhinged theory, so we're going to ignore the obvious reason they did that and assume that they're trying to connect them for some reason. Yes, that's right. They're trying to tell us that Gil-galad is Adar's son.

Exhibit C: Their their armor matches. The gorget that Gil-galad is wearing in Season 1, Episode 5 "Partings" is a perfect match to the river pattern that Adar is wearing on his armor. Coincidence? Normally, I'd say yes, but in this unhinged theory, I think not.

Exhibit D: In one version of the story, Gil-galad is his mother-name. Is that because his father-name is not elven? Is it because it's potentially uruk in origin?! And don't come at me with that Ereinion nonsense."Scion of kings?"* Sounds like someone's trying to underline a point there, eh? Almost like they're worried people won't think he's kingly enough.

Exhibit E: Gil-galad, despite ample time and opportunity, never marries or produces an heir. Why? Because he knows. He knows that if he does, some one will be close enough to learn his deep, dark secret: he has black blood and his child might too.

Are there holes in this theory? Absolutely; all the evidence is circumstantial at best. Do I care? Nope. This is for the pure, unhinged fun of it. Anyhow, if you need me I'll be headcanoning this for the rest of the run of Rings of Power until they show me Gil-galad's blood, mmmkay?

Darius: People really are unbelievable.

Kate: Huh? Ah, wait for me——

Seeing him turn on his heels, I chased after him going the direction opposite of the commotion in a bit of a panic.

Darius: I’m feeling a bit worn out now.

D: And it looks like the weather will turn on us any minute and start raining anyhow, so I just want to head back.

Looking up, I could see what appeared to be rain clouds, but...

Kate: I would like to get you a present, though, so could you wait a bit for that?

Darius: Did you come across something?

Kate: I did, actually. I won’t take long.

With a faint smile, he gave a nod.

Darius: Alright, but I’ll be heading back first if you do take long.

And so, after that, I hurried off to buy his present and returned to his side,

but the moment we returned to the castle, it started to rain hard, as though a bucket full of water was flipped over,

and despite the fact it wasn’t even night, it was dark outside.

Darius: Thank goodness we beat the rain.

He stared out the window, opening his mouth.

Darius: That said, I sure wasn’t expecting to not only have to see that nonsensical scene, but also have to wait.

Kate: What’s nonsensical now?

Darius: You know, how humans always put the most unbelievable ideas into words, like how they’ll make someone else happy for life and whatnot.

(Oh...)

Darius: People really are unbelievable.

—— End flashback ——

(I didn’t really get what he meant by that, but at that time, Darius’ eyes were bitingly cold.

(I don’t know what makes him think and say something like that, but...)

His profile as he looked out the window seemed to hold a tad bit of loneliness, and seeing that, I felt as though my heart was being squeezed.

(We spent the whole day together, and yet I still don’t know a thing about Darius...)

Darius: So? What did you buy?

His expression changed then, and so I held out my present.

Darius: A handkerchief?

While the design was simple, with honey yellow embroidered on the white cloth, it held a quality of elegance to it.

Kate: I was thinking you could take it with you while you’re out so you could wipe your mouth and whatnot.

K: That, and the embroidery on the handkerchief can also be like a protective charm.

(I still don’t know him well, and I don’t know if there will ever come a day when we can really understand each other completely either, but...)

Kate: I hope you can live a life with just a little less clouding your heart, even if it’s just a single thing.

I had thought the handkerchief resembled him, and when he took it, Darius stared at it fixedly.

Darius: Hehe, you really are a tad strange now, aren’t you.

And then, he suddenly started to laugh.

Kate: Huh?

Darius: It’s just interesting to me because I’ve never had a single human come up and say something like that to me before.

Kate: Not even one?

Darius: .........

D: I mean, see, I can fend for myself just fine, you know?

(Oh, I see, I knew that he was strong, seeing as he’s the leader of Vogel, so maybe something like this was just unwanted on his part?)

While giggling, he placed the handkerchief in his pocket.

Darius: Today was quite interesting, so I won’t turn this into an international problem.

Feeling a wave of relief rush over me, I thought back on today.

Kate: I also had quite a bit of fun today.

K: At first, I was surprised and wasn’t sure what to do,

K: but also, I figured spending your birthday in a whole different country than your home one alone would be a bit lonely, right?

That said, I found myself continuing to think of what to do for what started off as a celebration on a whim, without any plans.

Kate: So that’s why I’m glad I could celebrate it.

While I did feel some sense of unease with him, I turned once again to face him.

Kate: I hope you’ll let me celebrate again.

The moment I said these words, there was a flash of light outside the window, and there was a loud sound.

Kate: Oh, it’s thunder...

Turning toward the window, lightning ran through the sky, and while the sound of thunder surprised me to the point my shoulders jumped,

(It kind of reminds me of the color of Darius’ eyes.)

For some reason beyond me, I felt no fear as I stared outside, and——

Darius: Then, will you celebrate with me next year too?

Kate: What?

When I turned around, I saw him standing there with a somewhat disquieting air about him.

Darius: Next year, and the year after that too...

D: Do celebrate, always and forever, until I draw my veeery last breath.

Kate: Uhm, that...

(I don’t know when Vogel plans on returning to the place from where they came,)

But, if they were still here next year, then...

At that time, I could actually make some plans, and I would want him to feel really happy to celebrate it.

(But, I think until he ‘draws his very last breath’ might be a bit of a stretch...)

But the moment I opened my mouth to speak…

Kate: !

He placed his arm right above my head, and my vision filled with nothing but him.

Although the scent I picked up was gentle and made me feel a bit calm,

the words he murmured in my ear made me anything but calm.

Darius: ...Actually, I do have plans to send some things I don’t need back to Germany.

D: Maybe I should send you with them?

Those words came so out of the blue, I found myself stiffening.

Darius: If I do that, then for you that would mean a betrayal against Crown, and I imagine you would never again be able to return, yes?

His voice as he laughed was gentle, and yet at the same time incredibly cold.

Darius: Then you’d be left with no choice but to stay by my side for life... even knowing that, could you still say the same?

My breath caught in my throat from the fear that rushed down my spine, and I couldn’t look away from those honey-colored eyes that held me captive.

Then, the room once again flashed, and the sound of thunder boomed from behind me——

Darius: Be sure to give me your answer by the time lightning strikes again, alright?

(I had thought he was someone who resembled an angel...)

But perhaps, he was more like the lightning outside, having struck down on my life without so much as a warning.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

If you two are in public, he's basically not affectionate at all: the most affection you get from him is an arm around your waist. If you're alone, instead, he becomes much more affectionate: hugs, cuddles, sweet words... His main way of showing affection is physical gestures, and his favorite physical gesture is hugging you.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Probably, your friendship would have started through Yona, who had introduced you to him; that's why I think at first he's considered you a bit annoying like her. However, he soon changed his mind, and so you two became best friends. As your best friend, he would be very provocative (really, he would always make fun of you, especially if you did something that had embarrassed you), but also extremely protective and sweet if he knew something bad had happened to you.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

He really likes to cuddle you, that's his way of making you feel close to him; you two don't have much time for cuddles anyhow: in fact, those only happen for a few minutes and not even every day. Typically, you two cuddle while lying down, and he's almost always the big spoon, as he wraps his arms around your waist and his legs are intertwined with yours.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

I think he wants to settle down one day, but only after helping Yona to create a prosperous kingdom for you two (and maybe also for your children!) to live in. He's definitely capable of providing for you two: he knows how to cook, find supplies (hunting and fishing), he would even be able to build a small wooden house... However, I don't know how good he can be at cleaning (we also have to remember the period in which the manga/anime is set and Hak's social class)!

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Quick and frank. If he were to break up with you, he wouldn't mince words, but he would be very clear in letting you know he no longer loves you; in addition, his tone would be very moderate and he would apologize to you for the pain he's causing you.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

I think he plans to marry his partner if he's committed to a relationship, so he gives you all the time, love and affection he can. And, speaking of marriage, he would like to get married to you soon since he realized you're the one, but he first wants to help Yona to revive the kingdom; in fact, after having done that, he'll immediately propose to you.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Despite the many battles he fought, the many chaos and blood he saw, he's very gentle: his touches are delicate and soothing and he's never rough with you, both physically and psychologically. Furthermore, he always tries to moderate his words when he's with you for fear of hurting you emotionally, and he reassures you whenever you feel sad.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Hugs are his way of both showing affection and feeling like you're safe and sound in his arms, so he loves hugging you. His hugs feel like he's protecting you from all harm: they're tight, but also soft and sweet, and make you feel like you're wrapped in a blanket. He hugs you every time you or he feels the need, which happens very often, at least on his part: are you going to sleep? Hug. Are you feeling sad about something? Hug. You risked your life, but did you save yourself at the last minute? Funny of you not to assume he'll hold you for at least five minutes.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He takes forever to tell you he loves you! First he wants to make sure he truly loves you, since he doesn't want to delude you, and you love him back too: indeed, he won't say it until you do first... Furthermore, his confession will be short, but still very sweet, and in private (even if Yona and the Dragons may be behind trees and bushes spying).

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

He doesn't get too much jealous, since he knows you're more than capable of fending off any unwanted suitors. Furthermore, he put a lot of trust into you. Despite that, though, he isn't above the occasional side eye, or the arm around your waist and the harsh tone if someone is getting a little too buddy buddy.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

In public, he almost never kisses you and, if he does it, his kiss is so light on your lips and quick sometimes you might not even notice it. In private, his kisses are slightly more feral, but on only one occasion they're truly passionate, that's if you're in a situation where you risked dying: the anxiety of having almost lost you is reflected in the kisses, which is like it's the end of the world.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He's well liked by the children he grew up with and considered a big brother to many, so I can assume he's pretty good with them. However, in my opinion he prefers to be with slightly older children, like four or five years old and up, so he can do many more activities with them, such as simply teaching them to fight.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings spent with him are pretty rare: most of the time you two don't really get to sleep in or even spend mornings together, after all you're very busy saving the kingdom and not getting captured by the guards. If it happens you two have the morning free, he'll make the most of it: he'll stay in bed (or rather, in the subspecies of sleeping bag you create with your cloaks) for a while to hug you, and then you'll spend the whole morning together, walking through the woods and looking for twigs to light the fire or berries for breakfast.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights with him alone are also almost impossible as either you keep moving, or you camp, but you've guard shifts, or stop at an inn to rest but you all stay in a group. If the first possibility happens, you walk together, talking about various topics and holding your hands; if the second happens, you take your guard shift together and cuddle; if the third happens, you sleep close.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

I think his openness about his past with you depends on what he tells you: he told you quite early on about his childhood with his grandfather and friends from the Wind Tribe, but he'll take a really long time to tell you about his relationship with Yona and Soo-Won, because he wants to wait to understand if you're the one he wants to spend the rest of his days with. Once he understands that, he'll gladly tell you about his past in full.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He's one of the most patient people: it really takes a lot to make him angry and, if that happens, you don't notice it, because the most he does is tighten his tone and speak a little more sarcastically than usual. The main ways to make him angry are to insult or hurt you or Yona.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He's the king of remembering details you mention in passing: you may have told him just once and even in passing you like a certain thing, and years later he'll bring it up in a conversation ("Oh, by the way, do you know I saw bouquets of white camellias while I was walking in Awa? I got you one, since you told me you like them so much." "Did I tell you?" "Two and a half years ago, when your father gave you them for your birthday.").

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

His favorite memory is when you two had laid under the stars and talked about the future and living your life in the future; hearing you so passionate and optimistic, hearing your desires to live the rest of your life, get married and start a family with him gave him hope things would be okay.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Despite knowing and trusting you can defend yourself, he's still super protective of you, one of the few people he cares about in the world, and he would give everything to see you safe and protected: it's like having a bodyguard as a boyfriend. Literally. As for keeping him protected, I think the best way to do that is to remind him not to overdo himself, since he has the bad habit of overstepping his boundaries to protect both Yona and you (and the other Dragons and Yoon too).

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

On the outside, his dates are very simple (they generally consist of you two either walking together through the forests where you camp or taking turns on guard shift together), but he puts so much effort into so may aspects of those anything bigger would lose the personal touch they've; his gifts also appear very simple, but in reality they've great sentimental value, for instance a bouquet of the same flowers he gave you on the day of your meeting.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

His main bad habits are two: the first is his tendency to overwork himself without saying anything to anyone, and that makes you worry a lot; the second is being very attached and protective towards Yona, almost as much as he's towards you (of course, you know he loves you, but sometimes you've doubts...). With time, though, he grows out of the situations and realizes it isn't selfish to want the best for himself, and he also understands he must make you more aware you're the one he loves.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

I would like to write he doesn't care at all, but I think that's not true: he's concerned with his appearance, not that much, but enough to make himself decently presentable. He doesn't do it out of vanity, though, but just because he wants to be on your level (he always thinks you're truly beautiful, even in the morning with messy hair or with dark circles under your eyes after sleepless nights).

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

It depends: he feels he needs his space, so he wouldn't feel incomplete without you if you two are apart for a short time; nevertheless, if he has to spend a long time without you, he misses you so much and is likely to desperately seek your presence.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them)

I'm pretty sure he taught you some self-defense moves: as much as he doesn't want you to go to the front lines to fight, he wishes you to know how to defend yourself at least a little, also because he knows there might be moments when he can't protect you. If one day you knock someone out with one of the moves he taught you, he'll look at you with a proud and smug face.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?)

If there's one trait he doesn't want in his partner, it's malice: he would never forgive you if you treated others badly or did some evil action. Regarding other physical or character traits, he doesn't have great demands, although perhaps he wouldn't love a too weak partner, since he wants you to be at least a little able to protect yourself.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

As I wrote previously, you can't sleep for a long time but, for what little you can, he prefers doing it with you. Generally, he sleeps on his side while one arm wraps around your waist to keep you close to him and the other acts as a pillow; instead, your legs are intertwined.

Morning After with Arkhamverse Jervis

You woke up slowly to some soft muffled sound.

You tried to sleep through it, rationalizing that maybe it was people outside your apartment…but it was far closer than that.

Soon you started making words out of the muffled sounds.

“No…no…please…please…I didn't…I didn't!”

Your eyes blinked as you quickly sat up and turned over to the other side where the source of the sound laid.

Jervis Tetch was still fast asleep. His body tossed and turned which caused the covers to be tugged away from you.

His murmuring was made more clear as his face was no longer dug into the pillow.

You weren't sure how to react at first--you knew you needed to wake him but you didn't want to scare him…

“Jervis…Jervis!” You called softly at first before going for a more normal volume.

His mumbling and fumbling stopped but his eyes remained closed.

You could see just below his eyelids–his eyes moved sporadically..

You tried one more time to call out to him paired with gently shaking his form.

“Jervis? Wake up…you're dreaming…”

Jervis jerked awake–his eyes opened and his body sprung up.

You put a comforting hand on Jervis’ shoulder, which made him flinch at first before he saw whose hand it was that touched him.

“Oh, oh…it's you…it's you..”

“Yes, it's me…are you okay?”

“I was dreaming, dreaming an awful dream…Nothing was what it seemed…” Jervis wiped his face with his hand.

Your eyes furrowed as you leaned forward, your side nestled into his as your hand gently rubbed his back.

Jervis’ hold on reality wasn't a strong one, with him occasionally slipping whenever you weren't there to help reign him in.

Despite the nightmare he just woke up from, you were happy to note that it was only just one this time.

Most nights Jervis would wake up constantly from his night terrors and you had to keep trying to comfort him in order to get some rest before waking up again.

Your face heated at the notion that perhaps last night's events had something to do with it.

It was the first time the two of you had been intimate for a long while.

Between being on the run from Batman and Jervis’ long occupation in Arkham…it was difficult to find any time much less get in the mood for it.

You rested your head on his shoulder, your arms wrapped around him like a caterpillar's cocoon.

The way you draw Etho is so freakin GENDER!!!!! and I love your zombie au so much!!! Is there anything you've really wanted to talk about with the au that no one's asked about yet? :D

First of all, thank you for reading/enjoying the things I've been drawing!! Second of all, what I want to talk about could fill a novel or two, but I've settled on flowers today.

A couple months back, I decided to assign a handful of characters in the AU flowers. Mostly just for fun, but I do use them in my illustrations, and Joel and Lizzie's flower makes an appearance in the comic.

Technically, the meanings of some of the flowers below can change depending on color and who you ask. I chose whatever I jived with most.

Anyhow, here they are;

Cleo-Hyssop

In general this flower represents humility, repentance and sacrifice. I've seen in my travels that it's mentioned in the bible, in the context of cleansing/forgiveness. Fun hyssop fact, it's actually a garden herb from the mint family.

Etho-White Lily

White lilies are all over the place in terms of meanings and associations, so I'll only touch on what specifically applies. They're a popular funeral and wedding decoration. The color white is heavily associated with purity, but I chose these for their ties with death and rebirth. Them being a popular sympathy flower is a bonus, considering he's presumed dead for the majority of the comic.

Joel and Lizzie-Morning Glory

Morning glory has a handful of meanings, but the most popular ones are all centered around love; love in vain, undying love, sometimes even obsession. I like the way morning glory twists around things, it's one of my favorite flowers despite it's weed status. In general, morning glory is known to smother nearby plants and they require a lot of consistent effort to get rid of. This is pretty well known, but most morning glory blooms in the morning and closes in the evening.

Grian and Scar-Poppies

This is a really popular fandom thing already, and I think death and remembrance are really fitting for them. They're also closely associated with sleep, peace, undying love and sacrifice. I associate them very strongly with the Wizard of Oz, and that movie strikes a really great balance of nightmare and reverie for me.

Martyn-Hemlock

It feels weird to talk about characters I haven't introduced yet, but I'm doing it anyway for the prank of it all. In Victorian era flower language this flower is tied to the phrase 'You will be my death.' Hemlock is (allegedly) associated with dark arts like necromancy and it's generally seen as a sign of danger.

I only went ahead and chose flowers for people who have really important roles in the story, so apologies 75% of the characters aren't listed. Just a fun little list, I don't know if folks are as crazy about flowers as me, but anyways thanks for reading! Below is a lil scribble I did up on tracing paper back in February.

Alright, I just randomly discovered your blog, and I inhaled like all of the Local Trains AU content in less than half an hour. It makes me so happy and I can't wait for how it continues! So as I mentioned before, Young Justice was interrupted by a whole “Sins of Youth” event where everyone’s ages were screwed up

Now we’re on to the unlikely yet very likely pairing of Secret and Deadman

Oh wait, pardon me, forgot about the aged down downgrade on his shirt.

It’s deadman. Does that mean his name is boston brand now?

So, Secret is an interesting member of Young Justice. The original three boys saved her from evil government scientists after they see that the smoke they’re transporting is a girl with a face and everything.

We later find out she’s dead. But for some reason she has a smoky body that everyone can see. She can also interact with the world in certain capacities.

Deadman is something else.

As the name implies, he’s dead. And as a spirit nobody can see him. He can only interact with others by possessing people. And the person that he possesses is basically unaware that entire time.

In fact there’s this really iconic scene in Justice League Unlimited of him possessing and then unpossessing Superman for you to get what I mean.

Due to reasons of I think he was kind of a jerk, some vaguely East Asian monks turned him into a spirit of vengeance which is why he’s a ghost to begin with. Pretty sure it has to do with his murder.

If I recall correctly killing his murderer is why isn’t allowed to move on and has to keep serving out justice for those who can’t have any.

However I get the feeling that this kind of thing is kind of below capital D Deadman’s pay grade.

The world needs a lower case d deadman, or I guess deadboy to deal with bullies like this.

I want to say this is going too far but honestly, I don’t have a lot of room in my heart for bullies and honestly they should be thankful there’s any space in my heart at all. Maybe taking off his clothes was a little overkill.

But he also broke another kid’s skateboard for no reason so honestly? Screw that guy.

Anyhow, since they’re dead and magical they can actually follow Klarion the Witch Boy’s trail. And it turns out Klarion the Witch Boy is pretty easy to track even without magic.

Boy can best be described as “subtle as a brick”

Must be my imagination. Everybody knows Lightning McQueen isn’t real.

As someone who will never be able to grow up I’m sure this has been a great learning experience for her.

It is also sad that this brief event comic that, may I remind you all takes place in ONE DAY, is the only chance at adulthood she’ll ever get. What must it be like to be trapped forever in one moment in your life, literally unable to grow past it and into a new person the same way everyone else around you can.

Like Klarion the Witch Boy’s catgirl familiar!

Teekl is some sort of demon creature bound to Klarion the Witch Boy. I don’t know if he trapped her or if she enjoys being his lap cat.

I think the form she takes on varies by story. I’ve seen her just turn into a big tiger thing I think.

So I hadn’t brought this up before because I was gonna do a whole montage but Klarion The Witch Boy has been collecting super villains and turning them into kids for… reasons.

Honestly the selection makes no sense, like what the hell is Penguin doing here? He’s a crime boss and club owner, if you need a heavy then Killer Croc or Poison Ivy are right there.

Which, well, if you wanted to know why his costume is “like that”, that’s why. Circus performer.

Man, the artist was really making some “choices” for this segment.

I hadn’t really commented on the art because it’s very particular and I don’t hate it the same I hated the art of the Superman&Superboy segment. They make some strange choices I don’t care for, it’s overall very “weird” but considering we’re in the realm of magic and dead people we kind of need a little weird.

And the exaggeration of some of the expressions are great even if they’re a little off putting at times.

So in a stroke of brilliance, the dead duo steal Teekl.

Boy he’a pissed. A brilliant way to get him exactly where they need him honestly.

Soon, Klarion The Witch Boy’s nonsense will be thwarted. Mostly. There’s this whole post I made about how he made Lobo a kid and now that’s everybody’s problem.

Anyhow, this whole Sins of Youth thing was a wild ride, but we are approaching something resembling a conclusion. Just gotta do a bit of clean up commentary on strange nonsense.

Hi, anon! The moment I woke up this morning, your message was among the first things in my notifications. And, well, that's one thing of incorporating my username to my writing.

I've thought long and hard how to answer your question to make sure I don't come off rude or anything, but I've also just been busy the whole day as I was out and about doing my fieldwork so in any case, I apologize for responding late. To answer your question, no, I definitely do not mean never. Sure, I don't update weekly, because what will I even say? Hey, I added *insert random wordcount here*, I've been busy though so writing has been slow. Because I'm telling you, if I do that I'll end up sounding like a broken record.

And I think I've been clear that I said this is not my main project or whatsoever. It's a hobby, something I do when I have time or when I need to relax from real life and my academics. I do not get paid from this because as I said, pure hobby, an outlet I use for the creativity (or what's left of it, anyway) in my head.

To actually give a reason, I will be going into more personal details of my life. First, my university life is not easy, and I think none of us have it easy, may it be in the academe, work, or life in general. I study anthropology and it's a program heavy with lots of readings and fieldworks, so the time I could use for writing, I save for reading classics and doing fieldworks instead. Secondly, one of my parents has been hospitalized and I'm taking care of 4 siblings and 7 pets. The responsibilities are shared, sure, but the burden can be heavy when you try to juggle your life, academics, and social relationships, add to that the hobby you're supposed to do to have fun. And third, I, myself, am not as healthy as one would normally be. I have three life-long illnesses that make me weaker than most, hence why I can't stay up late to find the time to write and why sometimes, I just don't have enough energy to think and move.

I hope that is enough of an answer to at least put you at ease that I'm working on it, albeit not as fast as the other creators you follow. Maybe you didn't mean to be rude, and some part of me do understand. However, the other is just a teensy weensy bit hurt as well. Kindness and understanding goes a long way, you know? Also, I know I haven't really good with setting deadlines for myself but I know that I get things done at the end of the day. My day-one readers know me. It's sad that the old demo disappeared alongwith dashingdon shutting down, but at least know that my story will come back.

If you can't wait, then that is fine. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands, of stories you can read instead. I am not forcing you to stay and wait 'til I get mine finished for public access. I do not ask you to believe my reasons as well, but I know that I have been honest with disclosing such personal information here to at least let you know the reasons why I'm quick with any progress. I will include proofs, but I don't want to disclose even more sensitive information that will risk my privacy.

Still, thank you for being interested in my story. Some part of me will take this as a compliment, anon, because maybe you're just so excited that you're starting to feel impatient. Y´know, it´s so funny you mention that because, a few days ago, I was working on a post that deals with exactly that (meaning: The Sisters making Eddy Boy suffer via mind transfer and enjoying every moment, lmao). Edward would be traumatised, lemme tell ya. You´re absolutely right in saying he would prefer Irina´s thoughts because, out of the three of them, those are the least lecherous.

I mean, Tanya´s basically a walking vibrator at this point (since meeting MC) - always ready for some buzzing. So you can imagine those thoughts. And Kate´s-

...Kate´s Kate. She´s always been the most taxing out of the bunch because she does things solely for shits and giggles. Edward can barely handle her thoughts when they don´t revolve around all sorts of bodily fluids. 💀

Irina is somewhat tame...when she wants to be. She does have her cheeky moments though, especially when she knows Edward is being nosy on purpose like the annoying little cousin he is. So she switches the channel to "porn" when that happens, lol.

...Edward´s gone so damn fast, lmao.

But yeah, all in all, I´d say he´s just really happy for them. He knows how deeply his cousins longed for their own mates damn did Tanya show him, how long they´ve waited.

[waves back!!!] thanks for the ask :D And well as one might expect its a reverse iterator au! meaning instead of pebbles accidentaly killing moon, its moon accidentaly killing pebbles! - please note its not a personality swap or anything- im gonna expand on how it ended up like that in (this) post, because if i dont i this will be way to long :D

And well its mostly a silly au because my iterators are silly, with moon being up and running (with a mild mold problem) and pebbles being left suspended high in the sky after part of his structure collapsed - which isnt at all a result of my deep desire for a vulture free high altitude pipe parkour region while also having a collapsed metropolis ontop of pebbles creating a giant region of death pits!! -

or if im honest its just an excuse to have silly iterator interactions, seeing as pebbles wouldnt have activated the no chit chat block its a free for all for the iterators to have opinions and gossip, so its mostly an au where moon chats with NSH while pebbles sends her malicious malware to kill her quicker - also this is totally based on my own stupid iterator interpetation, which is pretty different than normal fanon, so uh, keep in mind - anyhow its basicly this \/\/\/ for 43 trillion cycles

Also as you might suspect this would have an effect on the over all story and plot, but im not getting to into that unless someone asks!!
