"Hak, I'm cold..."

It's a really cold and very breezy night and, although (Y/N) is wrapped in a blanket, she's still shivering from the cold.

"Ohime-sama (princess), you have the whole blanket wrapped around you, how are you still cold?"

"I don't know... I'm sorry Hak, Yona and I do nothing but cause you problems."

"(Y/N)-hime (princess (Y/N)), you never cause me problems, only your sister Yona does. I'm the one who apologizes to you: when you are cold, I should do everything to warm you, and it's what I'm going to do."

Hak hugs (Y/N) gently, bringing her body between his legs and holding her close. Her cheeks immediately heat up at our proximity.

"H-Hak? What are you doing?"

"I'm warming you up, (Y/N)-hime. Now tell me: why did you choose to sleep with me? Do you want something? -he takes a short break- Or maybe do you want to do something with me?" There it is, his true flirtatious and provocative character. He couldn't be sweet for once...

"Because I trust you a lot!"

(Y/N) can't see it because of the darkness, but Hak is smiling, slightly blushing. However, his blush quickly fades when he takes the princess' wrist and brings her face closer to his. Now she's the red one.

"You shouldn't say that, ohime-sama. It makes me want to do things to you..."

"Hak!"

A few moments pass and (Y/N) relaxes in his hold, hugging him tightly and snuggling into him.

"Hak..."

"Yes, ohime-sama?"

"Thank you."

~Cough, cough~

"(Y/N), does your throat hurt?" Yoon gets up from his bed worried.

"It doesn't hurt, ~cough~ I just have ~cough~ a lot of coughing."

"Here -the boy hands the girl a small bowl containing a clear liquid- it's a medicine to reduce coughing. In any case, if your throat doesn't hurt, it means you're recovering."

"This is ~cough~ all thanks to ~cough~ you ~cough~!"

"Baka! Just drink the medicine!" Yoon turned red and flustered.

So cute! (Y/N) can't help but think this.

Then, the boy moved his bed closer to her.

"I'll stay up for a while to check on you and give you medicine for tomorrow. Try to sleep."

"Thank you, Yoon, for everything you have done for me, Yona-hime (princess Yona) and Hak too."

"I-it was nothing."

Now Yoon is all embarrassed, how cute! (Y/N) continues to think.

The sick stares at the doctor for a few minutes without being noticed, then she closes her eyes, and, when she's about to fall asleep, Yoon lies down next to her and closes his eyes, his hand finding its way to hers.

"Weren't you supposed to give me medicine for tomorrow?"

"Sleep, baka!"

"NII-CHAN (big brother)! YONA!" (Y/N) quickly sits up in her bed, drenched in sweat from the nightmare she just had about her brother and Yona dying.

A few minutes after waking up, the girl hears footsteps and someone opens the door.

"Soo-Won..." (Y/N) whispers to the boy who entered her room. Soo-Won steps closer to her.

How could she not think about the noise she's made the last few nights? Her room is next to the king's, and Soo-Won probably heard her screams and cries every night. The girl scolds herself.

"Soo-Won!" (Y/N) screams, hugging the boy and crying into his chest.

The king doesn't ask questions, he just sits at the foot of her bed, carrying (Y/N) in his lap and holding her close to him. After a few minutes, her sobs turn into simple sniffles.

"Are you feeling better?"

"Yes… Thank you, Soo-Won." The boy makes the girl sit down on the bed.

"You're welcome. Now, go back to sleep." Soo-Won is about to get up, when (Y/N) grabs the sleeve of his dress.

"W-wait, Soo-Won! Can I sleep with you tonight?" She's all red and embarrassed for asking.

Expecting rejection, the girl releases her grip on the boy's sleeve, but the king takes her hand and takes her to his room, making her lie down on his bed with him.

(Y/N) gets into a comfortable position and tries to calm her pounding heart, while Soo-won wraps her in his arms in a loving hug.

"Good night, (Y/N)."

"Good night, Soo-Won."

•He wraps one of his hands around your waist and brings your body closer to his. But if he finds out any hint of discomfort in you, he quickly takes his hand off of your body and assures you that he won't ever cross the limit untill you let him.

•Whispers in your ears and says the weirded pick up lines.

•Chuckles every time you try to stand for yourself by saying that you aren't shy and end up blushing.

•He absolutely adores it when you get frustrated by your shyness and act mad. He put his hand on your head to give you a few soft head pats and kiss your temple softly.

“you smell really nice,” you look at hak weirdly, “why are you sniffing me?” you question him. he shrugs and grins down at you, “we’re walkin right next to each other, obviously im gonna smell you.”

you roll your eyes at his sass, “whatever, let's catch up with everyone.” hak shakes his head and pulls at your hand. “no we’ll catch up with them later, i need to talk to you.” you slowly nod your head and he drags you to the side, still holding your hand. “okay…what did you want to talk about hak?” he grabs your other hand, holding them tight in his hands.

“can i kiss you [name]?” you nod as he moves you closer to him by your waist. you lean in and kiss him softly. he smiles against your lips, kissing you back. “eager much,” he laughs when you two break apart. he hit him softly in the chest as you feel your face getting warmer, “shut up, dummy.” as soon as you said that you heard giggling from behind you. 

you turn and see yona, jae-ha, yoon, kija, and shin-ah. they walk towards you and hak, laughing. “about time you two confessed!” yoon says, throwing his arms in the air, sighing loudly. “w..were y’all watching us the whole time..?” you ask, eyes wide. they all nod, giggling. hak shakes his head behind you.

Synopsis: When a simple game of 7 Minutes in Heaven caused MC and Son Hak spend time inside the cramped closet.

"Okay, [Name]-chan, your turn~" Jae-ha handed you the small box that contains several pieces of paper in it.

"Here goes nothing..." you gulped as you dove your hand inside, closing your eyes while randomly picking the lucky person.

You opened your eyes when you already picked a random paper from the box. You unfolded it and stared at the paper, you can't believe your eyes. You gulped hard.

"What does it says, [Name]-chan?" the redhead female snatched the paper from you and glanced at it.

"Y-Yona!"

She read it out loud. "3. Ooh~ Hak is number 3! You are very lucky, [Name]-chan!"

"Really? That's too bad, I really wished that [Name]-chan would pick me," Su-won childishly pouted.

"Well~!" Jae-ha pushed you into the closet.

"H-hey! Jae-ha!" you shrieked, slightly flustered of the idea to spend 7 minutes in a cramped, dark closet with no other than Son Hak himself your secret crush.

Once you are shoved inside, you composed yourself and moved to the left side of the closet, next to the door to let the other person inside. You definitely don't want Hak to accidentally be shoved in and fell on you. Nah-ah. Nope. Not happening. The said thunder beast came in next, Jae-ha, using all his strength to push the heavy male inside, despite his protests. Once the tow of you are in, the green-haired male slammed the door close, followed by the click of the lock.

"Damn that green dragon!" Hak hissed under his breath.

You stayed quiet in your spot, never daring to move one bit inside the cramped space. The space is too small that your bodies are "extremely" close to each other. You could heat his fast heartbeat pounding against his ribcage. His hot breath tickling your ear. You blushed a thousand shades of red because of the close proximity.

"Hey, [Name]..." the tall male called, his breath slightly brushing agaisnt the top of your hair.

"Y-yes?" you stuttered, trying to look up to met his blue eyes despite the tightness.

"Damn..." he hissed under his breath when he saw your feature.

You are a sweating mess right now, the tightness of the closet and the closeness the two of you are in made your body sweat uncontrollably. Some strands of your [h/l] [h/c]-colored hair sticking to your sweaty face. Your cheeks were in a deep shades of red as I speak.

"I've been trying hard to stop myself, but after seeing you here in this cramped closet like that—sweating because of the hotness and flustered because of embarrassment—here with me..." he slightly growled seductively, his blue orbs never leaving yours. "I don't think I can stop myself anymore."

You tried to collect yourself before questioning. "W-what do you—hmph!?"

The next thing you knew was Hak aggressively kissing you. He snaked his arms around your waist to pull you close. After a moment, you recovered from your surprised state and hesitating before kissing him back. You closed your eyes to enjoy the moment, him as well. Hak bit your lower lips, asking for entrance, and this caught you by surprise and gasped, making your eyes shot open. He took this chance and slipped his soft tongue into your cavern. You moaned in the kiss, feeling every inch of your mouth be explored by him. Unfortunately, you both need to part for air. You panted heavily and glanced up to him, you could slightly see his cheeks tinted with red in the dark.

"[Name]..." Hak leaned down and whispered against your ear.

"Y-yes?" you could feel a shiver ran down your spine.

"I love you."

You smiled to yourself, closing your eyes and leaning against his chest. "I never actually thought that you will ever return my feelings for you."

"Well now, you know that I do."

"Yeah.."

"And later, I'm gonna show you how much I love you..." he whispered seductively, his voice so deep demanding.

You instantly shot your eyes open at his statement, and you definitely didn't like what he meant by that. Your heartbeat that is calming down started to race again. Your slightly flustered cheeks darkened once again.

"I-I—"

And just then, the door was slammed open. You sighed in relief. The 7 minutes was already over.

A Shin-ah x reader fanfic

Fluffy. No warnings. I didn't proof read this sooo it is what it is lol.

You had been dating Shin-ah for three months now. At first you both we’re shy around each other but you got comfortable with Shin-ah within the first week, you would hug him as much as possible when you were together. It took Shin-ah a little longer. By the end of the first month Shin-ah he’d started reaching out to hold your hand or just to feel you there, and every time he did it made you realize how much you loved this man. You watch as he helped Yona set up the tent. Now you watch him openly compared to when you first started to like him because you always got caught anyway. Shin-ah looks your way and waves to you. You wave back with a huge smile on your face. He's so cute!

"Hey, Y/N, hand me those carrots,” Yun said braking you out of your thoughts. He looks over see the aforementioned carrots still only half cut up. “Geez, were you spacing out again.”

You hurried to cut the rest of the carrots before Yun nagged at you more.

“Here,” you hand them to him. He dumps them unceremoniously into the stew. You catch a whiff

You couldn't fall asleep tonight. Thoughts and worries swirled in your head, everyone had to into town the next day and you were worried about the dragons standing put to much. You tost and turned, alternately thinking of ways to make them blend in a little and what could go wrong. Eventually you decide to go for a walk so you don’t wake up Yona and Yun with your restlessness. As quietly as you can you climb out of the tent. It's chilly out here. You think as you clutch the blanket closer to yourself. Holding your breath you sneak out of the camp, past Hak and the dragons. When you’re far enough away you let out your breath. I made it with out anyone noti—

“Y/N,” A voice says right behind you.

“Eep!” You jump forward and trip on a tree root. A strong hand catches you before you can fall and you turn around to see Shin-ah in the moonlight.

“Shin-ah! It's only you. You scared me,” you whisper, leaning into his touch in relief. He pulls you into a hug and you immediately go bright red.

“Sorry….”

You feel him speak more than hear him.

“It's okay,” You give him a tight squeeze before pulling back to look up at him, “You want to come with me for a walk?”

He nodded. You took hold of his hand and started walking.

“…Are you worried about something?” Shin-ah asks you. You smile despite the worries that keep popping into your head. Shin-ah has gotten more comfortable with talking to you and it makes you happy.

“Yeah, I was worried about going into town tomorrow. I kept going over everything that could happen and it kept me awake,”

“Mmm,”

You two come upon a small lake in a clearing. The moon and the stars are reflected in the lake making it look like a night sky on earth.

“Wow! It's beautiful!” You stare at the lake in awe. “Don’t you think so to Shin-ah?”

He squeezes your hand and makes an agreeable noise, you look over to see him staring at you with a soft smile that makes your heart skip a beat and before you knew it you stood on your tip toes and kissed him on the cheek. He went still, a surprised look on his face and in the pale light of the moon you could just barely make out the color rising on his cheeks. After a moment of silence you don't know what to do so you start to apologize, “I'm sorry if that was to sudden. You were just so cute that my body moved on it's own. I’ll be more-”

But before you could finish he suddenly moved and kissed you on the cheek. You look up at him and see that warm smile again that just melts your heart and you smile happily. He holds put his hand to you and taking it you both head back to the camp hand in hand.

Celebrating Your Birthday With Zeno

Pairing: Zeno x Fem!Reader

Summary: In which you're in a field of wildflowers with Zeno on your birthday

[A/N: For the special birthday girl, @kyanma137!! Happy Birthday <33 I hope you enjoy this, I wanted to do one last little thing for your birthday so I hope this makes you happy <3 Enjoy :D ]

A gust of wind blows over the field of wildflowers you were currently sitting in. You squeeze your eyes closed as the breeze reaches you, blowing your hair wildly across your face. A small giggle escapes your boyfriends’ lips as his hair also moves with the wind.

“Cute~,” Zeno smiles, tilting his head at you, reaching over to brush your hair back in place, “You look like an angel.”

Heat reaches your cheeks, instinctively leaning into his touch, but feeling shy all of a sudden. Zeno was never low on compliments towards you, it was something you were still getting used to even after a year of dating.

“Stop~,” You shyly whine, hiding your face in the crook of his neck, now in his embrace as he holds you close.

You had both stepped away from the Happy Hungry Bunch for a few hours, just enjoying quality time together; talking about your hopes and dreams, your thoughts, your future. Zeno never missed an opportunity to have you all to himself so he was making the most of your time together in the empty field of wildflowers. 

Wildflowers–they kind of reminded him of himself. Left to fend for themselves in a field, no one to de-weed them or water them–just leaving it up to nature. But they turned out alright, and they were as beautiful as any flower you could buy from the local market.

Removing yourself from Zeno’s arms, much to his dismay, you lie down in the grass, staring up at the clouds as your boyfriend occupied himself with the flowers nearby, fiddling with a few of them. It was a fairly sunny day, nice and cool out–perfect weather, not too hot and not too cold. A beautiful day to be celebrating your birthday. Another year older…

You wondered sometimes what you would do the older you got. Would Zeno be okay? He can’t die, so what would he do? You hated the idea of leaving him behind to be alone again. You knew what he went through for almost 2000 years, you didn’t want that to happen again. But you had both come to an agreement–you’d make the most of your days together with a smile, enjoying every second you had with each other.

You sigh to yourself, trying to shake those thoughts out of your head when Zeno’s face appears above you.

“Hm?”

With one hand behind his back, he sticks his other hand out for you to take, pulling you up so you are now sitting instead of lying down. 

“Close your eyes,” he softly instructs.

You follow his instructions without a word, closing your eyes as another breeze blows over you. He shuffles a bit and you hear him plop onto the grass in front of you.

“Okay open them,” he sounds excited.

You open your eyes, blinking a few times, allowing them to focus on what was in his hands–a flower crown. Your mouth flies open, a tiny gasp leaving your lips.

“What’s this?” You ask in awe, reaching for the beautiful flower crown in his hands.

“Happy Birthday,” he smiles, excited from your reaction, “Zeno made it just now. They’re thunbergia alata (let’s pretend like these flowers grow in fields okay)! They symbolize encouragement; they’re super adaptable and strong, just like you. They remind Zeno of you–absolutely gorgeous.”

You were at a loss for words. You knew Zeno was smooth, he was beyond wise, and just always had the right words to say to you. “Thank you,” your voice wobbles, tears beginning to brim your eyes. No one had ever been so sweet to you, and you were beyond blessed to have a man like Zeno in your life now. Someone who always reminded you of your worth when you couldn’t see it for yourself. 

“Aww, pretty girl, don’t cry,” he coo’s wiping your tears away, “C’mon, put it on, Zeno wants to see how it looks!”

You laugh a bit at his excitement, placing the flower crown swiftly onto your head and turn to him again, “How does it look?”

His eyes could have been mistaken for stars at the sparkles that lit up in them.

“Perfect, just like Zeno thought,” He attacks you once again with a hug, the both of you falling back onto the grass as he peppers your face with kisses, repeatedly calling you his ‘pretty angel,’ not that you were complaining as giggles erupted from you. 

“Y/N, Zeno! Yoon finished cooking! The celebration is about to begin! C’mon birthday girl!” Yona calls to the both of you from the camp set-up not too far away, making Zeno pause his kiss attack.

“Coming!” You shout back, getting back to your feet with the help of your lover. 

“Shall we?” He asks, holding an inviting hand out to you.

“We shall,” you smile, interlacing your fingers together and rushing off back to camp where your friends were getting rowdy.

“Happy Birthday, Y/N!” They all shout as soon as you arrive, hand in hand with Zeno.

It turned out to be a successful celebration as you were surrounded by your friends and the love of your life–things couldn't have been more perfect.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

If you two are in public, he's basically not affectionate at all: the most affection you get from him is an arm around your waist. If you're alone, instead, he becomes much more affectionate: hugs, cuddles, sweet words... His main way of showing affection is physical gestures, and his favorite physical gesture is hugging you.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Probably, your friendship would have started through Yona, who had introduced you to him; that's why I think at first he's considered you a bit annoying like her. However, he soon changed his mind, and so you two became best friends. As your best friend, he would be very provocative (really, he would always make fun of you, especially if you did something that had embarrassed you), but also extremely protective and sweet if he knew something bad had happened to you.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

He really likes to cuddle you, that's his way of making you feel close to him; you two don't have much time for cuddles anyhow: in fact, those only happen for a few minutes and not even every day. Typically, you two cuddle while lying down, and he's almost always the big spoon, as he wraps his arms around your waist and his legs are intertwined with yours.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

I think he wants to settle down one day, but only after helping Yona to create a prosperous kingdom for you two (and maybe also for your children!) to live in. He's definitely capable of providing for you two: he knows how to cook, find supplies (hunting and fishing), he would even be able to build a small wooden house... However, I don't know how good he can be at cleaning (we also have to remember the period in which the manga/anime is set and Hak's social class)!

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Quick and frank. If he were to break up with you, he wouldn't mince words, but he would be very clear in letting you know he no longer loves you; in addition, his tone would be very moderate and he would apologize to you for the pain he's causing you.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

I think he plans to marry his partner if he's committed to a relationship, so he gives you all the time, love and affection he can. And, speaking of marriage, he would like to get married to you soon since he realized you're the one, but he first wants to help Yona to revive the kingdom; in fact, after having done that, he'll immediately propose to you.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Despite the many battles he fought, the many chaos and blood he saw, he's very gentle: his touches are delicate and soothing and he's never rough with you, both physically and psychologically. Furthermore, he always tries to moderate his words when he's with you for fear of hurting you emotionally, and he reassures you whenever you feel sad.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Hugs are his way of both showing affection and feeling like you're safe and sound in his arms, so he loves hugging you. His hugs feel like he's protecting you from all harm: they're tight, but also soft and sweet, and make you feel like you're wrapped in a blanket. He hugs you every time you or he feels the need, which happens very often, at least on his part: are you going to sleep? Hug. Are you feeling sad about something? Hug. You risked your life, but did you save yourself at the last minute? Funny of you not to assume he'll hold you for at least five minutes.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He takes forever to tell you he loves you! First he wants to make sure he truly loves you, since he doesn't want to delude you, and you love him back too: indeed, he won't say it until you do first... Furthermore, his confession will be short, but still very sweet, and in private (even if Yona and the Dragons may be behind trees and bushes spying).

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

He doesn't get too much jealous, since he knows you're more than capable of fending off any unwanted suitors. Furthermore, he put a lot of trust into you. Despite that, though, he isn't above the occasional side eye, or the arm around your waist and the harsh tone if someone is getting a little too buddy buddy.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

In public, he almost never kisses you and, if he does it, his kiss is so light on your lips and quick sometimes you might not even notice it. In private, his kisses are slightly more feral, but on only one occasion they're truly passionate, that's if you're in a situation where you risked dying: the anxiety of having almost lost you is reflected in the kisses, which is like it's the end of the world.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He's well liked by the children he grew up with and considered a big brother to many, so I can assume he's pretty good with them. However, in my opinion he prefers to be with slightly older children, like four or five years old and up, so he can do many more activities with them, such as simply teaching them to fight.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings spent with him are pretty rare: most of the time you two don't really get to sleep in or even spend mornings together, after all you're very busy saving the kingdom and not getting captured by the guards. If it happens you two have the morning free, he'll make the most of it: he'll stay in bed (or rather, in the subspecies of sleeping bag you create with your cloaks) for a while to hug you, and then you'll spend the whole morning together, walking through the woods and looking for twigs to light the fire or berries for breakfast.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights with him alone are also almost impossible as either you keep moving, or you camp, but you've guard shifts, or stop at an inn to rest but you all stay in a group. If the first possibility happens, you walk together, talking about various topics and holding your hands; if the second happens, you take your guard shift together and cuddle; if the third happens, you sleep close.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

I think his openness about his past with you depends on what he tells you: he told you quite early on about his childhood with his grandfather and friends from the Wind Tribe, but he'll take a really long time to tell you about his relationship with Yona and Soo-Won, because he wants to wait to understand if you're the one he wants to spend the rest of his days with. Once he understands that, he'll gladly tell you about his past in full.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He's one of the most patient people: it really takes a lot to make him angry and, if that happens, you don't notice it, because the most he does is tighten his tone and speak a little more sarcastically than usual. The main ways to make him angry are to insult or hurt you or Yona.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He's the king of remembering details you mention in passing: you may have told him just once and even in passing you like a certain thing, and years later he'll bring it up in a conversation ("Oh, by the way, do you know I saw bouquets of white camellias while I was walking in Awa? I got you one, since you told me you like them so much." "Did I tell you?" "Two and a half years ago, when your father gave you them for your birthday.").

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

His favorite memory is when you two had laid under the stars and talked about the future and living your life in the future; hearing you so passionate and optimistic, hearing your desires to live the rest of your life, get married and start a family with him gave him hope things would be okay.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Despite knowing and trusting you can defend yourself, he's still super protective of you, one of the few people he cares about in the world, and he would give everything to see you safe and protected: it's like having a bodyguard as a boyfriend. Literally. As for keeping him protected, I think the best way to do that is to remind him not to overdo himself, since he has the bad habit of overstepping his boundaries to protect both Yona and you (and the other Dragons and Yoon too).

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

On the outside, his dates are very simple (they generally consist of you two either walking together through the forests where you camp or taking turns on guard shift together), but he puts so much effort into so may aspects of those anything bigger would lose the personal touch they've; his gifts also appear very simple, but in reality they've great sentimental value, for instance a bouquet of the same flowers he gave you on the day of your meeting.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

His main bad habits are two: the first is his tendency to overwork himself without saying anything to anyone, and that makes you worry a lot; the second is being very attached and protective towards Yona, almost as much as he's towards you (of course, you know he loves you, but sometimes you've doubts...). With time, though, he grows out of the situations and realizes it isn't selfish to want the best for himself, and he also understands he must make you more aware you're the one he loves.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

I would like to write he doesn't care at all, but I think that's not true: he's concerned with his appearance, not that much, but enough to make himself decently presentable. He doesn't do it out of vanity, though, but just because he wants to be on your level (he always thinks you're truly beautiful, even in the morning with messy hair or with dark circles under your eyes after sleepless nights).

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

It depends: he feels he needs his space, so he wouldn't feel incomplete without you if you two are apart for a short time; nevertheless, if he has to spend a long time without you, he misses you so much and is likely to desperately seek your presence.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them)

I'm pretty sure he taught you some self-defense moves: as much as he doesn't want you to go to the front lines to fight, he wishes you to know how to defend yourself at least a little, also because he knows there might be moments when he can't protect you. If one day you knock someone out with one of the moves he taught you, he'll look at you with a proud and smug face.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?)

If there's one trait he doesn't want in his partner, it's malice: he would never forgive you if you treated others badly or did some evil action. Regarding other physical or character traits, he doesn't have great demands, although perhaps he wouldn't love a too weak partner, since he wants you to be at least a little able to protect yourself.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

As I wrote previously, you can't sleep for a long time but, for what little you can, he prefers doing it with you. Generally, he sleeps on his side while one arm wraps around your waist to keep you close to him and the other acts as a pillow; instead, your legs are intertwined.

“Not anymore,” you answered casually. “But if you still doubt me, you could try kissing it better.” You meant it as a joke, but he lowered his face to your stomach and gave the scar a gentle kiss. So basically Reader was Yona's personal maid, one of her most trusted friends like Hak and Soowon. So now they are apart of the group and basically feel out of place. She has a crush on Jae-ha but knowing he only goes for "attractive" women she doesn't act upon her feelings.

[A/N: OMg hi...I KNOW I KNOW. It's been way over a year since you requested it. If you're still around, you're probably wondering what the heck this is as it's been long forgotten. I'm sorry it took me so long to write, I had it half written in my drafts all this time because I started second guessing myself and I really loved this request and didn't think I could do it justice. SO here's my completed version of this. I hope it's decent, and hopefully you're still interesting in reading it :'). Sorry if it's disappointing NFEKJFKAEF <;3]

It was night now. Months had passed since Yona ran out of her castle after her father's murder. Hak had saved the both of you from Soowoon’s revenge on her father as you would not back down and go to their side either. Yona loved and respected you, so you owed her everything, and that still hadn’t changed. You still refer to her as Princess, just like Hak, but the two of you were closer than ever–going beyond the friendship a personal maid and a Princess should probably ever have. 

Owls hooted in the background and the sound of crickets surrounded you. You had all stopped for the night to set up camp, and were currently in your shared tent with Yona and Yoon. The young boy was fast asleep in the far corner of the tent, exhausted from running around all day, but you and Yona were wide awake from the excitement of the day–too pumped to even think about sleeping just yet. Giggles escaped your mouth at the girl-talk that was being exchanged between you both, then Yona began to blush as you asked her about her feelings for Hak. You had noticed the change in the atmosphere between them for a while now.

“He’s just…different from how I used to see him? Instead of just seeing him as that annoying kid back then, he’s more of a man in my eyes now… He said some uh, lovely things to me the other night and it just made me realize my feelings even more,” She hides her head in her hands, thinking back on the deep conversation she had with the raven haired man a few nights ago, but clears her throat and turns the attention away from herself, “What about you, Y/N? Seen anyone in any villages that have caught your eye? Or perhaps even someone among us, hmm?”

You could hear the slight tease in her voice at her question, she fully knew who you liked, but wanted to hear you say it yourself. After all, what fun is girl-talk if she was the only one dropping juicy information.

“Well…there is someone I like, but he’d never go for a girl like me…” you trail off, looking down at your hands.

“Jae-ha would love you, Y/N. You’re gorgeous, kind, and you have a heart of gold, I see the way he looks at you whenever your back is turned.”

“W-what? How did you know it was Jae-ha?” You ask bewildered.

Yona laughs, placing a hand on your shoulder, “So it really is him? I was just making a lucky guess, wow.”

You huff. Perhaps it was a little obvious since you always got nervous around him and ONLY him. The slight disappointment that graced your features whenever he spoke of a beautiful woman he ran into in town. The tiny sparks of desire to have him speak to you with those lovely words, but it would never happen.

“He was probably just wondering why I can’t be so open with him like I am with everyone else,” You sigh. “I know I don’t belong here. You’re gorgeous and way above my social status. The other guys in our group are all very attractive as well, I’m the only one who sticks out like a sore thumb, but I guess I just have to deal with it!”

You fake a smile, regretting a little that you opened up too much. 

“Y/N, is that really how you’ve been feeling this whole time?” Yona asks, her voice now softer at your confession.

“It’s alright, really. I’m used to it by now, I don’t know why I suddenly decided to say that all right now. Everything’s okay!”

“No, everything’s not okay. Y/N, you are the most beautiful person I know. I don’t care if you think your extra weight makes you ugly compared to the rest of us, that doesn’t make a difference in my eyes and Jae-ha would be a fool to have that be a difference to him as well! Tell him how you feel! He would treat you like royalty.” Yona explains, a little enraged that you’ve been feeling this way all this time without her realizing it, “And I know we come from different backgrounds, but out here, we’re all the same. You and I are on the same level. You’re my best friend, and that won’t ever change! You are one of us, part of the happy hungry bunch! It wouldn’t be the same without you.”

“Thank you, Princess Yona. You’ve been a great blessing to me and I’m so very grateful to be your friend,” You smile slightly, but it falls again when you think of Jae-ha. “It seems that Jae-ha only goes for thin, beautiful women though. I can’t imagine him directing those compliments to me when I’m the complete opposite of all those women…I- I guess I just wish he could see me as a beautiful woman despite my weight. Even if it was only for a second.”

Yona once again assures you that you are indeed beautiful and that nothing is wrong with you. She was a little lost for words on what else she could say to help you feel better, she just wished you could see yourself the way that she saw you–a beautiful woman, inside and out. 

“If I’m so beautiful, then why won’t he look at me the way I want him to?” You shout in frustration, a little too loudly.

Your conversation is cut short though as the sound of shuffling is heard from outside the tent, along with the distant murmuring of the rest of the boys who were still awake, engaged in small talk.

“Will you both shut your mouths? I’m trying to sleep here. Y/N stop being a wimp and just confess to him already. You’ll never know until you at least try!” Yoon groans out with a huff, before light snores escape his mouth once again. 

“He’s right,” Yona whispers now, not wanting to awaken the tempered boy again, “But I guess this can all wait for another day. Let’s sleep, it’s getting pretty late.”

You both yawn at the same time and laugh lightly to yourselves. Perhaps it could wait…

Sleep consumes Yona pretty quickly, but your mind is plagued with a million thoughts that keep you up all night. It would be a tough day tomorrow.

The next day, your journey together continues as you finish packing up the last of your camp and continue forward. 

Yona and Hak had run up ahead of everyone else in the early morning to get in some more arrow shooting practice while the rest of you moved to catch up at a decent pace. You lagged behind a bit, lost in thought of everything you spoke about last night.

“Careful, wouldn’t want to run into a tree and ruin your beautiful face, now would we?” The sudden voice of the man you were thinking of, startles you back to reality along with the gentle touch of his arms around your shoulder, guiding you around a tree that you were seconds from walking straight into.

But all you could think about now was the presence of his warmth on your shoulder along with a word you had always longed to hear addressed to you–beautiful.

“Huh?” You ask a little frazzled, trying to control your breathing from his still present arms around you.

“You almost ran into the tree back there,” He smiles, now removing his arms from around your shoulders and awkwardly scratching the back of his head.

You both were now lagging behind the group who had finally joined back up with Yona and Hak. Yona sends you a quick thumbs up from afar, mouthing a ‘good luck,’ with a wink.

“Thank you,” you mumble to Jae-ha, ignoring Yona’s cheekiness, and continuing to walk to the rest of the group with your eyes glued to the ground. You couldn’t do it, you couldn’t tell him.

You hear the man sigh behind you before firm arms pick you up bridal-style, and jump into the air as you let out a yelp, instinctively wrapping your arms around his neck and hiding your face into his chest from being so high up. You were surprised that he was even able to lift you, but I guess all the dragons were fairly strong.

Your heart was hammering in your chest–both from the sudden action of being in the air, but also from being in close proximity to your crush. You could hear his own heart hammering in his chest, probably from having the fatigue of jumping while carrying something heavy (at least that’s what you think, his heart is definitely pounding for other reasons).

You can hear the distant joyful hollering of Yona and Zeno from afar, praising the green-headed man for his bold actions, to which Jae-ha chuckles at. It isn’t long until you’re safe on the ground again, far enough from the group now to have some privacy together. Jae-ha sets you down as you timidly scoot away from him and sit on the grass, trying to calm yourself down.

“What’d you do that for?” You ask hesitantly.

“A little bird told me that you’ve been talking down on yourself, is that true?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you avoid his eyes. You physically couldn’t look him in the eyes, you were far too embarrassed. Where had he heard that from?

He takes a seat beside you, gently reaching for a strand of your hair and admiring it as he twists it between his fingers. You’re frozen in shock. What was going on? 

His hand abandons your hair and gently grabs your chin to face him as his other hand wraps around your waist.

“And I’d love to know where you heard that I wasn’t completely infatuated by your beauty,” he teases.

Your eyes widen in shock.

“In fact, I love every inch of you, from the plumpness of your thighs to the softness of your stomach, your magnificent chest, and your puffy cheeks. You’re absolutely enchanting– a diamond among stones,” he continues.

“Your eyes, they outshine the beauty of any other woman in this land, you know why? Because they belong to you. I don’t care how big you think you are, but never talk like that about yourself again.” There was a certain sternness behind his voice now, as if he was really serious and hurt that you would think so badly of yourself.

“How did you-”

“I heard everything last night, Y/N. You have no idea how much self-control it took for me to not just burst into that tent and tell you everything right then and there. But I’m here now, and I can’t move forward until you know how much I love you. You’re beautiful and I won’t have you think otherwise.”

You were beyond baffled.

“All this out of nowhere? You’re always off fawning over all the beauties in town, but never at me. You’re just saying this to make me feel better, right? Well, it’s okay. I do like you, Jae-ha, but I don’t need your pity. You don’t need to like me back, I’ll be o-”

You’re cut off by the feeling of Jae-ha’s lips on yours. You can feel the emotion behind them as he was almost desperate to show you how real his feelings for you were. You lean into him, wrapping your own arms around him now, fully into the steamy kiss.

He pulls aways with a pant, “You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that,” he laughs. “I hope you believe me now.”

“And to answer your question, I didn’t want to scare you off. I know how bold I can be, and a part of me loved watching you from afar, loving, admiring you in secret. It was exhilarating trying not to get caught,” he confesses. 

Yona’s words from that night echo in your head of how she had seen him watching you a few times. He really did like you…

“I’m surprised you never caught my wandering eyes. We need to work on you being more aware of your surroundings, darling. What if it was some other man gawking at you, and not me? Not that I’d let that happen…but still.” There he goes again with his teasing.

You playfully hit him on the shoulder, hiding your face in the crook of his neck, “Shut up,” you mumble, very embarrassed by all his words. You still couldn’t believe it, it was like all your dreams became a reality over-night.

Was this a dream? Because if it was, you never wanted to wake up. You cuddle further into him, hiding the heat that was quickly rushing to your face. You were overwhelmed, but in a good way. His own arms slither around you in a tight embrace.

“This is real right? You’re not just saying all this?”

“Of course this is all real, darling. And I’ll keep saying it all until you believe it. You’re under my care now,” He whispers that last part and leaves a peck to the top of your head. 

“I’ll take good care of you,” he confirms again, making sure you know it.

Misunderstanding (Husband!Jae-ha x Wife!Reader)

"Jae-ha, could you please pass me the roasted duck?"

You were surprised when he flat out ignored you, choosing to drift over towards Yona. Raising an eyebrow, you slid over to where Yoon was watching the whole thing. He looked just as confused as you.

The Happy Hungry Bunch was spread out around an empty field, lounging around while the pretty boy genius cooked up some dinner. Jae-ha went off with Yona and you suppressed a sigh. Lately, he had become more and more distant with you, and it was starting to drive you a little crazy.

You both were young, even though he was older than you. A lot of people said your marriage wasn't going to last, but you didn't care and you thought he didn't either. Now, you were having second thoughts, the insecurities getting the best of you as you watched him flirt with Yona.

You knew that was just his nature, and that it was harmless. Mostly. But it still sent a turmoil of conflicting emotions inside of you, and you were unsure if you should even be feeling this way.

You pushed up off your feet, wiping your dirty hands on a damp cloth. Yoon gazed at you worriedly as you turned away from them, trailing after where Jae-ha and Yona had disappeared.

A giggle floated through the air, enabling you to find them easily. You crossed your arms and leaned against a tree, staring at them with narrowed eyes.

"Excuse me, Yona, may I talk to him for a moment?"

Yona nodded, just about to leave when Jae-ha stopped her.

"Why do you want her to go?" He questioned, mistrust swirling in the depths of his eyes.

Both your and Yona's eyes went wide with shock. He never took this tone with you.

"I would just like to talk to you for a moment in private, Jae-ha." You picked your words carefully. You didn't know why, but he looked ready to explode at any second. You had no idea why he was so angry.

"She can stay here."

Yona let out a squeak as Jae-ha tugged her back to his side, unprepared for the sudden jostle. A beat later, she was freed by none other than the Thunder Beast.

"Keep your hands off of her." He glared, making the threat obvious.

"Then don't touch what's mine!!" Jae-ha snarled.

At this point, you were completely confused and starting to get mad. "Jae-ha, you aren't making any sense."

"No?!?!" He thundered, whipping around to face you. You had never seen him this angry and it was terrifying. "You think I'm making this up!!"

You huffed. "That's not what I said."

"Yeah?! Well it sure sounds like it!!" His hands flailed in the air in frustration, and you instinctively whimpered, eyes growing as wide as saucers.

He didn't notice the change in your demeanor, but someone else did.

"Droopy-Eyes, knock it off."

Jae-ha turned on him, kicking him harshly in the abdomen. Hak had been ready for it, but it still knocked the wind out of him. Jae-ha reached for Yona again, but that was a mistake.

He was shoved back harshly and Hak brandished his glaive with a feral gleam in his eyes.

"Touch her again. I dare you."

Jae-ha let out a growl. "You can't have them both!!"

You were shocked. You had never seen him like this before. You had never seen either one of them like this, they looked ready to rip each other apart at a moment's notice.

You couldn't stand it any more. You didn't want to fight.

You let out a quiet, reserved sigh. "Jae-ha... it's okay..."

His head whipped towards you and you took step back at the red aura emitting from him.

"Okay?!?! That's all you have to say?!" He yelled at you, continuing to raise his volume despite the way you flinched back, not registering your fear through the red haze. All he could think about was how he couldn't believe you didn't trust him, after all this time together.

After everything you've been through.

You had both saved each other from a life of despair and hopelessness. You brought out the light in him, and he brought peace to you.

You never thought things would come crashing down around you like this. Least of all, now, when it was so critical that your group stayed together.

Quickly, you walked away, praying that he wouldn't follow you. Today wasn't your lucky day. He stormed after you, completely furious with the way you were talking to him, how you were treating him.

"Stay away from her." Zeno demanded, no longer in the mood for games.

"You can't tell me what to do. She's my wife." Jae-ha declared.

Shin-ah stubbornly shook his head. The snarl painted on his features was nothing to take lightly. "Stay... away."

The low tenor shocked everyone, but Jae-ha wasn't deterred. "You can't keep me from her."

Hak stepped up aggressively. "Yes, we can. She's terrified of you right now. We're going to make sure she's alright before we let you anywhere near her."

At this point, Jae-ha finally took in your trembling appearance and he froze. The tears that stained your cheeks and your knocking knees hit him dead in the heart.

Jae-ha couldn't believe he let it get this far. He ran into the tent you two shared as you were escorted away by the blue and yellow dragon.

Hak pushed back the flap of the tent once morning came. Jae-ha hadn't made an appearance once after yesterday's fiasco, and it was time to figure out just what was going on.

"Droopy-Eyes, what the hell were you thinking?"

As furious as he was for making you cry, he knew there was something else going on.

The green dragon might have been older, but over time, the former general had learned to read him like a book. There was something bothering him.

He was right.

Ryokuryuu was crouched on the ground, his back slumped and shoulders stiff.

Hak wouldn't be surprised if he had stayed like that throughout the night.

Jae-ha breathed out a heavy sigh, finally confessing, "I thought you guys were cheating on each other behind my back. I wanted to protect Yona, and maybe get back at you. Because no matter how much it hurts, I still love her."

Hak narrowed his eyes and then frowned.

"You're an idiot."

Jae-ha sputtered at the insult, but he wasn't finished. "You honestly think that we're sleeping together? Even though you're probably the only one who understands the depth of my feelings for Yona?"

Jea-ha was floundering to come up with a response.

"But you two have been spending a lot of time together, and yesterday at the market, you spent the entire day together. It's the first day she didn't fall asleep in my arms."

Hak crossed his arms over his chest and rolled his eyes exasperatedly, a blush settling across his cheeks.

"Jae-ha, she was helping me pick out a ring for Yona. She was helping me figure out how to propose." Hak explained quietly. "I wanted it to be perfect for her."

Jae-ha's jaw dropped to the floor, speechless.

"B-But— Y-You... I-I-I—"

"Yeah, yeah," Hak brushed off his excuses. "Just go apologize to her, will you? She's been crying all night."

Jae-ha left without a second thought and the ex-general followed soon after.

Your head was laying in Zeno's lap, and he was stroking your hair softly. Shin-ah was positioned near you, keeping watching out for any unwanted guests. His legs were criss-crossed, and Ao's fluffy tail was brushing under his ear once in a while.

When Shin-ah abruptly jumped to his feet, you knew something was wrong. Zeno's carefree expression was wiped off of his face and his eyes narrowed as the blue dragon snarled the second your husband cautiously entered the tent.

He at least had the decency to look apologetic, but you stiffly turned away from him, not ready to forgive him. His shoulders slumped and Shin-ah nearly growled. "Get out."

"Wait, please." Jae-ha begged. "Y/N."

"The miss doesn't want to see you right now." Zeno's voice had a light lilt to it, but there was an underlying warning that came with it.

"Y/N." Jae-ha whispered brokenly.

Your eyes softened, and you slowly turned around. Shin-ah looked about ready to throw Ryokuryuu out of the tent himself, but you shuffled towards him, pulling on his pant leg to get his attention.

"Shin-ah, Zeno, it's alright. Can you two give us a minute?"

The two dragons reluctantly left the tent, Zeno shooting you a worried glance but you offered him a reassuring smile.

Jae-ha settled down across from you, with respectable distance.

Your face was blank, but your eyes were puffy and the skin around it was rubbed red.

You had been crying.

He felt awful. He jumped to conclusions, and wrongfully accused you of things you didn't do.

"I don't deserve you."

Your head snapped up at his defeated tone.

"What?"

Jae-ha shook his head in regret. "I thought you and Hak were..."

You recoiled back in shock. "W-What?! No, you got it all wrong!! He's going to marry Yona, I was—"

He closed the distance between the two of you, cupping your jaw tenderly. Soft breaths fanned out against your face and warmed your skin soothingly.

"I know, I know. Hak told me what you were doing." Your eyes fluttered closed in relief. "I'm so sorry for assuming the worst."

Your hands reached up to cradle his face. "Come to me next time." You pleaded. "Talk to me."

He nodded furiously, finally pulling you in a tight embrace.

Relaxing in his hold, you didn't hear them come in.

"Yay!!" Zeno cheered.

"Is everything okay?"

Yona's worried voice floated through the air, breaking the two of you apart. You smiled at your husband, weaving your fingers together.

"Yeah... we're alright now."

Jae-ha leaned down, capturing your lips in a soft kiss and you melted against him.

Yona cooed at the display and Hak pretended to barf.

"Lunchtime, you rare beasts!!" Yoon shouted from outside.

One by one, the dragons, the princess, her bodyguard all filed out of your tent obediently. As he dished out the portions, you shared a look with Jae-ha as Hak fumbled with Yona's bowl.

It would be awhile before he got down on one knee, since their journey took precedence, but you couldn't wait to see it.

After all, You thought to yourself as Jae-ha pulled you against his chest, curling his arms securely around your waist. Despite its ups and downs, marriage is worth it.
