To be precise, these are not exactly the Three Graces but rather the allegories of Picture, Sculpture and Architecture mourning Antonio Canova's death; the relief was realized by Giuseppe Fabris.

Pinckney Marcius-Simons (1867-1909) "The Child Canova Modeling a Lion out of Butter" (c. 1885) Oil on canvas Academicism Located in the Chrysler Museum of Art, Norfolk, Virginia, United States
The painting depicts preparations underway for a large feast wherein one of the servants, a boy has volunteered to mold the semblance of a lion from butter. The work celebrates the prodigious child for his remarkable talents and that this boy went on to become the sculptor known as Antonio Canova (1757–1822).

Antonio Canova’s Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss
If I had a nickel for everytime I made a post referencing a Thai BL drama to the story (and art) of Cupid & Psyche, I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.
Tumblr media
@forcebook - that ATOTS post was like my top one in 2021 around the time “dramas” became one of my major tags and I started engaging more in all of that here on tumblr. Nice trip down memory lane
