So I finally played the original Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story, and bruh, the bestie @akiiame-blog was not kidding about the timing with getting these attacks down to get Excellents!
Idk why, but when it comes to Luigi, at least for me, it seems like the timing is more precise to get down with him. It honestly might just be because I'm still used to the leniency with Brothership's timing lol
But yee, overall, it's a really fun game so far! It's better when I'm playing and streaming it for my friends to watch🤭 That and it's just as fun watching the bestie play it too😌😌

At this point, with the Night Springs DLC having come out and how i've felt about Jesse's chapter and Coffee World and the overall (under) usage of named NPCs from the AW2 canon, I keep thinking....
I feel the Cult of the Tree lost all its narrative purpose and emotional impact due to FBC involvement. The Cult and the Koskelas might have well been some random unnamed NPC Cult Leaders or heck, they might as well have been replaced by a sentient lamp and their relevance and impact and the outcome would've been the same. It could've been some other random murder case that would've attracted Saga and Casey's attention to BF for how little pay-off we got for the Cult arc. The final 'wrap-up' if you will, is totally missable and optional. At this point, nobody even cares anymore that the Cult were actual the good guys all along.
Even Remedy seems to have forgotten about the whole Cult arc and the Koskelas as characters and I feel the fandom even mirrors that in some waysthere
#not saying people have to write fanfic and fanart non stop for these characters#but ofc as a koskela fan it's obvious with how little content or care there is for them and the whole cult story#there are no discussions no meta little fanfic little fanart some screenshots just no thoughts on them or the cult in general#that to me at least makes it feel the Cult arc left on impression on the general audience#maybe im wrong and there are some closed off communities but here in the public i dont see stuff#jaakko was literally just there to die and give scratch his jacket lmao#even my obvious koskela fan stance aside#what was the Cult besides them being a plot device for making saga come to BF and that's it#the whole mystery about the cult gets resolved by an OPTIONAL CONVO WIHT ILMO FFS#remedy created this interesting cult and their leaders only to throw them away as soon as FBC rolls up#and then erases them from coffee world too lmao#i might make another more in depth post about it but i think the RCU and FBC thing was detrimental to the Cult arc#feels like aw2 is just a stepping stone to control 2 and other RCu titles in the future#my ramblings#my posts#alan wake 2#koskela brothers#cult of the tree#jaakko koskela#ilmo koskela#my meta

#okay I'm gonna get a bit personal here lmao#so i used to have a childhood best friend whom I've known basically since he was born lmao (he's 4 years younger)#he's always been like a little brother to me and we used to be inseparable until like 11 years ago#and then the friendship stopped sooo abruptly basically from one day to another#and i literally have no idea to this day why#i mean idk at that point those 4 years were a BIG gap me being 15 and him 11#but I'm not sure if that was it or if his parents didn't like it or some completely different reason#we're actually neighbors and it's crazy to me that we haven't had any in person interaction since then#we say hello if we see each other and wish each other a happy birthday online but that's it#and today me and my dad went over to the neighbors because..#(well I'm not gonna elaborate here because there was some police action in the neighborhood and i felt like i was in an action movie#and that's what brought the neighbors together whatever it's a long story)#and he was there and i realized i miss him lmao#i mean I've always missed him i never stopped missing our friendship#and i really really wanna reach out and say “hey you wanna grab coffee some time?” and just catch up#but I'm scared lol#like what if he says no#what if he doesn't wanna do anything with me#idk the rejection would feel awful a second time#am i being irrational here am i overthinking#maaaan idk#i never share anything too personal here so this feels weird lol#personal

Writing fanfiction is so fun. I’ve gone from actually writing interesting plot shit to researching the standard widths and heights of stairs sometime in the past hour and a half, and I have absolutely no clue when this shift occurred. Did you know that the minimum required width of stairs in a residential building in the US is 36 inches? I didn’t know that. I do now, along with a bunch of other random metrics I will have no use for besides this one time, and even now I’m questioning if this was worth it. I don’t know where I am anymore.
#I also spent another 30 minutes today researching how driving and parking works in various European cities and countries#because the roads are so different#This story does not take place in Europe#The fantasy town it does take place in is possibly maybe slightly based off of France#maybe-#I’m really unsure tbh it was just the closest place I could look to for architecture and building inspiration ok-#I think this is because I had a cup of coffee when I got home#usually I just have tea

#I DONT THINK I DIDDDDDD like an insane person i left out one of the most bonkers moments of my california vacation#saying it now makes it seem like im making this up and the following story will seem made up but dude just trust me.#im fucking. ok sunday morning the morning of Thee Concert and i (used to waking up at 4-5 am) have been awake on and off since like 6 am#my friend? asleep.#now i enjoy waking up and falling back asleep for a couple of hours however by like 9:30 im starving i need BREAKFAST#like the very nice friend that i am i dont wake my friend up i let him sleep and leave him a message on my open laptop screen#because the fucking hotel room doesnt have a pad of paper?? so i leave my modern post it note of a message#saying that im going out for croissants and coffee#because im an idiot i severely misjudge how hot it's already gotten in los angeles in july#ive chosen to wear jeans (bad idea) and a long sleeve flowy black shirt (worse idea)#i also dont look my Greatest because my friend had been telling me dont wash ur hair before we curl it for the concert!!!#so this is my hair after flying in and everything the day before (It Needs To Be Washed)#im following google maps to the coffee place as i brave the streets of los angeles on a sunday morning#hollywood boulevard around the chinese theatre is insane btw. insane. but being from new york i am unfazed (well. a little fazed)#i am Sweating. its already gotta be 80 degrees. im also reaching critical hunger levels. but i continue on my journey#google maps leads me down a sidestreet and tells me to turn down some alley and im like well thats not right.#so i turn to go back the way i was headed and find another way to get to the coffee place#as i turn and head back up theres a guy going down this same block heading in my direction#i look at him and im like hey that guy kinda looks like oh my god it actually is him. mr john l of tmbg fame#and so i have a split second decision of like do i sayyyyyy something do i just ignore him while geeking out#somehow i decide to be bold and im just like gdjgmm hi excuse me i recognize you uh do you mind if i could get a photo#he was very nice and suggested we move into the shade and i took the photo trying to turn off google maps before i did#and i was like aa im seeing you in concert 2nite love your music thank u! and we went on our way.#i think i kinda like. stopped for a moment before i went on to the cafe and was like. that just happened??????? insane. but it gets better#i do finally get the coffees n croissants btw and get back to the hotel after melting in the heat#and my friend who likes tmbg better was losing his mind once i finally told him#so the following morning after our spars concert insanity we have breakfast at a diner and then head back to our hotel#and he's wearing a tmbg shirt he got and im in a spars shirt and as we're walking back a car horn honks near us#AND ITS BOTH THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS IN A CAR and they say hi and are like we like your shirts!#and my friend and i are like losing it but trying to be cool and like oh thabk you we loved your show hi! so theres my insane story

I may have gotten the idea from 'dost thou even steal hearts?' but I think it would be a pretty good start to a story with the system destabilising - issues with loading the epilogue? Sqq gets a particularly large cloud of pollen to the face and it promptly wigs out because too many entities have been loaded? Randomly one day Just Because??
So the system decides to run a virus sweep or an optimiser or straight up prepares to crash, so to get the souls out of the way it transfers people to different dimensions - there's enough dimensions so it's pretty much one each so as not to destabilise the other stories.
Everyone in svsss gets booted out. EVERYONE. (everyone named and alive at least) And they get reborn. Scattered across worlds, for one lifetime until the system resets and reinforces the whole dimension.
Shen qingqiu thinks he's alone in this world. He's not.
