okay so my OC is Amber! They are gender-fluid, (he/she/they and I will use them interchangeably) and they are 17 (I think I actually haven’t written this all down yet but I have thought about a lot.)

UHH HEAVY TOPICS BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY I HAVE TO TRAUMATIZE THEM BEYOND GOD. (Tw, suicide, alcoholism, child abuse, that kinda stuff)

when Amber was born their dad was an alcoholic, and was gone before Amber was 3, so then it was just her and his mom. Their mom was extremely mentally ill due to the abuse she took from her ex husband(ambers biodad), so she began to neglect her child(Amber),

when Amber was seven her mom lost her job due to her illness’s, and they quickly became homeless, within a year, her mother had sold Amber to a sketchy guy in return for a large sum of money, Amber was then ripped from her mother, and put in an “orphanage” of sorts.

The world was slowly falling apart and due to on going wars between countries, the country Amber lived in started about 200 programs of soldier, assassin, and defense training camps. Amber was put into an assassin training camp.

Ambers training began once he was 8, and it started with tortuous training regimens. She would wake up at 6am and train until 9am. then if they did good, he would get breakfast. From 9:30-10:30 was lunch, there was educational training from 11-4, and then more physical training from 4:30-9:30pm, and then they would be given dinner(if they earned it) at 10pm. by the time Amber was 10, they began “mini missions” and were expected to hunt. Amber was always good at it. They always beat everyone near them. But a part them wished it wasn’t like this. She did get to meet some people though. And it wasn’t all bad. Except at exam days.

exam days, the children would be taken 2 at a time to fight. The winner, would get the other child’s food rations, stuff, and blankets, while the loser child would just- disappear. No child knew what happened to the loser. But they knew it would be nothing good. Amber always won. But, by winning, she often ruined friendships. By getting rid of peoples friends, siblings, and sometimes even partners.

by the time she was 12, she had either gotten rid of, or pushed away everyone. He was alone. Ambers brain began to change after that. They stopped trying to make friends. Or anything. They had never been interested in romance to begin with,(aro/ace icon here) but he gave up on friends.

the programs staff were well aquinted with Amber. As Amber often times got into fights, or pushed themselves far too much, or hurt themselves, to try to cope with the anger and pain.

when Amber was 15, they “graduated” from the program, leaving blood and people behind. She began talking on missions then. And he found that they LOVED, killing the bad people. It was conditioned that anyone they were assigned to kill, was born to die.

they lost their mind a little, everytime they ended a life. He enjoyed it more. Knowing she was getting rid of filth. But, there was a part of him that wanted a human connection, so when they were 16, she decided to take a month off, to try and make some friends in his field.

they met Rey(design in process) and he was so- just impressed? They began taking on partner missions together and even though their job abused them to hell and back, constantly over working them and threatening them with their lives, he knew as long as he had Rey, it would be okay. (QPR THEY HAD A QPR AND I LOVE THEM) Rey and Amember lived together after a while, and had been for almost a year and a half, they’re were both 17 when

When well, Rey wasn’t there. Rey went on a 4 day mission, and didn’t come back. Amber vowed to never come close to anyone ever again. Amber then honed in on her work, climbing the ranks and becoming pretty well known.

she couldn’t feel. Not for a second, it was kill, kill, kill, and that’s where they are now.

i really hate when people dismiss the ending of his dark materials because it leans into the trope "love saves the world". truly, that is what the story is about, but reducing it to a cliché is doing a disservice to the point the story is making. when it says that love says the world, it's rewriting the meaning of sin by saying that giving into desire is not shameful. it's telling us to be brave enough to experience. it's saying that dying for love can have powerful impact, but living for it is much more romantic. it's saying that storytelling saves the world, because telling stories is a language of love. it's saying that the bonds we create with other people will outlast death as long as we share our memories. it's showing how a simple childhood friendship is extraordinary enough to change the course of a war between heaven and earth. is there a better way to end a trilogy that intertwines so many paths of love than with a kiss that shifts the fabric of multiple universes?

what really gets me about the phrase "tell them stories" is that what humanised the harpies were childhood memories, of the days lyra and roger spent together inside an oxford college and on top of its roof. it wasn't anything grand and extraordinary (the word lyra's parents kept insisting on her) but just the happiness of being with an old friend. lyra's journey to the land of the dead was rather extraordinary, but only the simplest of stories brought her home. i think there's an important message there that while you can choose to live a life full of danger and adventure, the most mundane moments such as your friend baking you a birthday cake or a time where you stayed out in the sun until you burnt can create a life worth telling stories about... only emphasised by the serpent sharing the simple memory of falling in love

Genshin event where we temporarily work in Xilonen's workshop as assistants.

The event's main role is to take up and manage comissions from clients, a bit like the bartender event. Clients fill out the required forms, so their requests can either come with detailed blueprints or a general vibe of what they want and we must manage them.

Another feature would be a Xilonen mood bar that gets depleted with each new project she completes and requires time or limited events (such as naps and DJ sessions) to be restored (kinda like March 7th's Primaveral Blade Event in hsr).

There are four types of projects:

- Small projects with a detailed blueprint (-15 mood bar);

- Small projects with just a general idea of what they want (-30 mood bar) ;

- Big projects with detailed blueprints (-45 mood bar);

- Big projects with just a general idea of what they want (-60 mood bar).

And every day we also get a special visit from the other characters, mostly with requests or small stories, though those requests won't drain Xilonen's mood:

- Mavuika appears once a day, right before the workshop's closing time (she has way too much work and only gets time off at the end of the day). She will come with detailed blueprints and schematics of the craziest projects possible (a car, an helicopter, a jenga game, hair accessories for her flaming hair, etc), Xilonen will usually just say "no" and run away, though she did craft the jenga game and the hair accessories;

- Kachina, Mualani and Kinich will come and ask her to fix Turbo-Twirly (some bullies broke it). Xilonen fixes it right away, free of charge, but not before joining Mualani, Kinich and Traveler in a revenge quest (Mavuika was there too, but stayed to guard the workshop and cook some Saurus Crackers for Kachina);

- Citlali asks for a special comission related to a light novel she recently read (either an action figure or a replica of a weapon from the story);

- Ororon comes along requesting a way to protect his crops from harsh weather, which leads to a whole mini quest featuring a cameo of Ifa;

- Lyney shows up with a damaged Pers and a few of its schematics, though Lynette will appear the next day to retrieve the penguin and request a contraption that they can use for their magic shows, with the three siblings coming to thank Xiolonen the day after (Freminet got injured during a mission in Sumeru's desert, but since Sumeru is mostly Dottore's turf, the twins decided to regroup with Capitano's soldiers in Natlan. Lynette was guarding an unconscious Freminet while Lyney searched for a skilled craftsperson to repair Pers, since he's the extroverted one);

- Furina makes an appearance, with some ideas for stage props (Neuvillette can be seen in a nearby lake, chilling with the capybaras);

- Kaveh also makes a visit, curious about the use of phlogiston. He was visiting Natlan in the hopes of helping with rebuilding efforts and ended up meeting Mavuika. They chatted for a while about the nation's architecture, as well as possible future collaborations between Natlan and Sumeru and, when it was time for Mavuika's nightly visit to Xilonen's workshop, Kaveh decided to tag along, even helping the Traveler dissuade Mavuika from submitting one of her crazy blueprints (instead of a flying fortified hospital, Kaveh got a few fennec fox toys as a souvenir, Xilonen appreciates the help);

- Paimon and Little One also make an appearance, visiting the Traveler and requesting "a reminder of our journey through Natlan". We can choose what the Traveler will create, with the options being a small Tepetlisaur figurine, a metal plate with Paimon, Traveler and Little One or an accessory for the Traveler that matches Little One's scarf (a hairband for Aether or an earring for Lumine, maybe);

- In the last day, Nepecha will ask for a comission as well, presenting her own blueprints. It's just a toy, but Xilonen is super proud of her, and the blueprints can later be seen framing one of the workshop's walls, even after the event's end

Event rewards would include primos, a few teapot decorations and maybe a namecard, as well as a new sword (a gift from Xilonen and the best weapon for Traveler, it even allows them to immediately change elements, no Statue of the Seven required).
