I do not--we are FRIENDS is what Colin was about to say. It's interesting what little differences do and don't make it to screen and how it changes the intention of the scene. Colin doesn't need to say they are friends, because he's too flustered & taken off guard this time & there's the underlying truth that...they are more than friends. (I also assume they did not like Pen's "I do not need you to answer that").

I feel like we as a Fandom don't talk about this enough (I'm only on s3)

Major spoilers below. S3 tritter spoilers

But the detective storyline. Wilson goes through absolute hell during that plot line. He finds out House stole his prescription pad to prescribe himself Vicoden. And is rightfully pissed when he finds out because he had to lie to the cops.

His bank account gets a hold on it. He can't use his card, he can't pull out money of the ATM. At this point, Wilson is living in a hotel. Presumably staying by the night, hence why he pulling money out of the atm when we find out. (I wanna know where he stayed. If the hotel let him stay or if he had to find somewhere else because he couldn't pay at the moment).

His car gets posessed and taken away. We find out later in the episode there's nothing nobody can do about it because of the ongoing case against House. His phone was in his car, he can't get that back. AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT he finds out his license to perscribe medication has been taken away.

I also wanna add that this man is an oncologist, he can no longer give his cancer patients the medicine they need to live. Some of the patients are children. And when Cuddy confronts the detective his response is "this is how I get what i want". That makes me so angry I don't see even know how to put it into words.

And oh yeah...WILSON HAS TO SHUT DOWN HIS PRATICE AND STEP DOWN FROM HEAD OF ONCOLOGY BECAUSE OF THIS.

And all of this is because of House. He says so in their fight.

And with all of this said in mind, when Chase hints that hes going to cooperate with the detective, he goes to the detective first. To make a deal. For House. Rehab for all criminal charges dropped and the investigation dropped.

After all this, Wilson is still protecting House. He literally has no reason to.

And if that doesn't solidify that he loves the man, I dont know what will.
