This warrior heroine is “surfing” her way through the jungle on mossy tree limbs! The bandages on her foot are meant to protect her soles from friction and splinters.

The inspiration behind this picture was of course Disney’s Tarzan, my favorite animated film that they’ve ever done. One of these days, I really want to see a “jungle hero” character in the tradition of Tarzan who is a native African person instead of the usual stranded White dude or dudette.

I think it’s pretty obvious ea is going to announce a fairy’s pack soon… first of all, I HOPEE this is just a game pack like all the occults, cause doing a whole ep for that would be insane. Second of all. Honestly for me, I’m not excited at all about that, I never get to play with occults, is not my gameplay style so for me this is just meh… what I would prefer is worlds with new cultural representation… we’re lacking of worlds based on Latin America countries, European countries, more Asian countries, African countries, I know a lot of ppl will enjoy the fairy’s for sure, but I think I speak for the majority of us that we prefer better cultural appreciation for everyone…

Jungle Cat (Felis chaus)

IUCN Conservation Status: Least Concern

Despite what its name suggests the Jungle Cat is not typically found in jungles, instead being a resident of densely vegetated swampy areas of northeastern Africa and western, southern and southeastern Asia. Like most wild cats members of this species are solitary, territorial (marking the outer limits of their territories with strong-smelling urine and saliva) and primarily active at night but not strictly nocturnal, waking up sporadically throughout the day to search for food (feeding primarily on small vertebrates such as rodents, lizards, fishes and frogs, though on occasion they may also consume fruit or target prey as large as Wild Boars and young Chitals (a medium-sized species of deer.)) Jungle Cats come together only to breed (producing high-pitch calls and sniffing the scent markings of other members of their species when receptive to mating,) and while females provide for their litters of 3-6 kittens largely on their own, males have been reported to remain nearby to defend their young for a short period after birth. Newborn Jungle Cats are larger and more developed at birth than many other cat species, being capable of hunting for themselves at around 6 months old and being fully independent by the time they are 9 months old.

Jungle Music - Kelenkye Band (Moving World, 1974)

This started out as a simple illustration of a prehistoric jungle girl climbing up some branches emerging from the jungle canopy. To give her a more specific identity, I modeled her knife after the distinctively elongated stone blades of the Lupemban industry, a Middle Stone Age lithic industry that spread across the Congo Basin in central Africa over 265,000 years ago. The people behind this culture would have been either early Homo sapiens or a related hominin species.

This grand creature, a keystone of the African wilderness, struts through the thicket with an air of wisdom and grace.
