As a black woman who strongly advocates for both women of color and trans people, the last few days have been a horror to experience. The power of white tears was once again put on display during imane's boxing match. I recently confessed to a friend that in the past, whenever I drew my sona with a gap, banjo music would start playing in my head. It doesn't help that I'm actually from the South either.
