“What was that noise?” + polyfire
You should know in true us fashion I had a smutty idea and a whumpy idea for this one. Today smutty wins.
“What was that noise?”
Heat burned into Buck’s cheeks as he stared up at them. The humiliation started slow, spreading down his throat into his chest and up to the top of his head as he clamped his teeth down onto his lip. His body was slick with sweat and spit and blazing from the inside out but Tommy and Eddie were staring down at him like he was a wonder.
Their twinned stunned expressions morphed through a kaleidoscope of emotions and Buck could only hold his breath and wait. Wait for them to decide if they would spare him some dignity and pretend they hadn’t heard it. Or—
Tommy pinned down Buck’s wrists and Buck keened beneath the pressure. His back bowed off the bed as the inferno inside his veins surged and Buck keened. A mewling, pathetic sound that was the definition of desperate and not at all sexy but god he couldn’t help it.
Tommy eased his grip but didn’t let go. He got it first because of course he did. They’d been dating long enough to know each other’s in and outs but they hadn’t had a chance to explore… this. Not before they realized that every night they spent with Eddie just added more fuel for their desire to have him too. Even then, Tommy had always been gentle. A tender, world shattering mind blowing gentleness that made Buck nearly sob with how cared for he felt. No one had ever held him the way Tommy did. Like he was something to be cared for. Like he was something that could shatter and that was the last thing in the world Tommy wanted. Like he was to be treasured and loved.
It was a gentleness that swept into their new dynamic with Eddie. It started as carefulness, a considerate but curious hand that traveled along Buck’s body as Eddie explored. There had been a wonder too. Like Eddie didn’t think he’d ever get the chance to run his fingertips along Buck’s ribcage, taste his lips, feel the way Buck unraveled beneath his attention. Gentleness was at the very heart of Eddie’s nature and Buck didn’t know how he’d been so lucky to somehow be wanted by the two most gentle people in all the world.
Most days he felt unworthy of them. Those same days, however, they spent hours trying to change his mind.
“Oh,” Tommy said, his brow furrowed in concentration and Buck tried hide his face in his bicep before he imploded with embarrassment. Tommy squeezed his wrists again and Buck squeaked as he blinked up at them. “There it is.”
Eddie looked back down at him with an almost frown marring his expression before his eyes drifted to Tommy’s hands and then Tommy.
When he looked back down at Buck again, his eyes were smoldering.
“You like that?” Eddie asked, so very much the opposite of gentle hands grabbing onto his hips and forcing his legs even wider.
Buck stuttered out as gasp as he slid across the mattress, a pressure building in his shoulders as Tommy kept him pinned in place by his hands. The barest hint of Eddie’s nails scraped up the soft parts of his thighs and Buck trembled all over as he tried to close his legs. But Eddie was fitted in between them, holding them open and leaving Buck exposed.
“Is there something you’ve been wanting to ask us for, sweetheart?” Eddie asked, his voice dark and teasing as those nails dragged up his stomach and chest before sliding up to his throat.
He didn’t squeeze. But the weight was there. A promise.
Buck shivered.
“You want us to be a little mean to you?” Tommy asked.
Yes. Yes yes yesyesyesyes!
Buck didn’t know how much he wanted that until that very moment but he wanted. He wanted it so badly he thought he would die without it.
It wasn’t his first time being adventurous in the bed. But it was the first time it was with two partners that could throw him around like he weighed nothing at all. Buck wanted it. Wanted to be like a rag doll between the two people who made him feel nothing but safe for his every breath.
Tommy yanked Buck’s hands further above his head as Eddie dragged his nails over the pebbling nubs of his nipples. White hot pain laced with the burning pleasure churning deep in his belly. It stole his vision away as Buck squirmed. He whined high and thin as he tried to get some more.
“Use your words, baby boy.”
That. That wasn’t something Buck knew would alight the already burning inferno inside him.
“Oh,” Eddie practically purred as he swept his thumb over Buck’s lips. “He liked that one.”
The heat in Buck’s face soared down his throat into his chest as he squeezed his eyes shut. Sparked dashed across his eyelids as he tried to will the racing of his heart down but it was no use. Not when the gentle fingertips from before were slowly but surely turning deliciously bruising.
“P-Please…” He breathed.
“Listen how pretty he begs.” Eddie praised and it washed through Buck like a wave that stole all the air from his lungs.
“I bet we could find some more noises,” Tommy said, his smile wicked and beautiful.
“If we work together,” Eddie said and Buck only barely opened his eyes to see Eddie surge forward to capture Tommy’s lips with his own.

“feeling each other's pulse” pleeaassseeee 🥺👉👈
Anything for you, Molly my dear!
quiet my fears with the touch of your hand
Rating: G Relationship: Evan Buckley/Eddie Diaz Word count: 1.2k Contains vague season 7 spec
Eddie comes to with a burning in his chest and Buck’s name on his lips.
For a second, he has no idea where he is or what’s going on, but then sound filters in around him – water crashing, sirens, people yelling out orders – and it all comes back to him in startling clarity.
The ship shifting suddenly. Debris crashing down and blocking the exit. Water rising with no way out.
Buck looking at him, heartbreak in his eyes, and saying, “I love you.”
“Oh, thank God,” someone says above him. It might be Bobby. “Ravi, help me get him in the ambulance.”
No, no, Eddie can’t go into an ambulance – not until he knows –
“Buck,” he gasps, trying to look around. “Where’s Buck?”
A hand on his shoulder, and the ground beneath him starts to move. “Eddie, just lie still.” Definitely Bobby. “We need to transport you.”
Eddie shakes his head. Bobby didn’t answer his question. That means he either doesn’t know or doesn’t want to tell him. Neither option is acceptable. “No, I don’t – where’s Buck?”
A telling pause. “Hen and Chim are working on him,” Bobby finally says.
Working on him? Eddie’s stomach plummets. No, Buck can’t – not again – not after he said –
“Ravi, on three,” Bobby orders.
“No!” Eddie flails his arms, tries to push himself upright. “No, let me – I can help – I need to see –”
“Eddie,” Bobby says calmly. “Hen and Chim have got him. Let us take care of you.”
Eddie glances around wildly. His gaze lands on a familiar turnout with WILSON written on the back, crouched over a few feet away from him. She’s obscuring his view of Chim, but Eddie can see that he’s on top of someone, performing compressions.
“Eddie –” Bobby tries again.
“Cap, I’m not going anywhere until –”
“He’s going to be okay, Eddie. Just let Hen and Chim –”
“I’m not going –”
“We’ve got a pulse!” calls Hen’s voice.
Relief crashes over Eddie like a tidal wave. His arms give out and he slumps down onto the backboard, finally allowing Bobby and Ravi to load him into the ambulance.
He’s unconscious before the doors slam closed.
---
When Eddie regains consciousness again, he immediately knows he’s in the hospital.
If the fuzzy memories of fighting with Bobby while he was bathed in the red emergency lights didn’t tip Eddie off, the exposed feeling of wearing a hospital gown underneath starchy sheets and the beeping from various machinery confirms it. It takes a monumental effort, but eventually Eddie manages to get his eyes open. The lights are dim, so it must be night. He lolls his head to the side and sees Bobby, asleep and slumped in a chair at his bedside.
Eddie frowns; he figured that if Bobby would be keeping vigil over anyone, it would be –
Buck.
Panic surges through him as he struggles to sit up. If Bobby is here and not with Buck, then that must mean Buck is in the ICU or surgery or –
As Eddie rips the covers back and swings his legs off the side of the bed, his eyes scan the rest of the room and he realizes he isn’t alone. There’s another bed across from him, and in it is a sight so dear that Eddie nearly topples off his bed as the fear drains out of him in an instant.
Buck is unconscious or asleep – Eddie can’t tell, and his eyes immediately flick to the vital signs monitor at Buck’s bedside. Buck’s pulse and blood pressure are normal and his oxygen levels are fine, but just reading Buck’s vitals doesn’t do much to soothe Eddie’s worry. He’s seen Buck hooked up to machines in hospitals too many times before, and only hours ago Buck’s heart was stopped again. Eddie is suddenly overcome with a desperate need to touch him. He needs to feel Buck’s heartbeat, his blood pumping in his veins, and only then will the uncomfortable, anxious skittering under his skin finally settle.
Eddie eases himself off the bed, grabbing his IV stand for support. The last thing he wants to do is go crashing to the ground and wake Bobby up. He gingerly makes his way across the room in his bare feet, and lowers himself into the chair at Buck’s bedside. Reaching out, he gently takes Buck’s hand and flips it over, pressing his fingers into Buck’s wrist.
Thump-thump. Thump-thump. Thump-thump.
Buck’s pulse is strong beneath Eddie’s fingertips. The tightness in his chest loosens, and Eddie relaxes back into the chair, keeping Buck’s wrist in his grip. He’s alive, Buck’s alive; they’re both going to be fine.
Eddie doesn’t know how much time passes, but he finds himself slowly nodding off, soothed by the steady beat of Buck’s heart. He’s completely fine with drifting off to sleep in this chair, but then he feels Buck twitch. Eddie straightens up a little, suddenly awake, as he looks over Buck for any sign of distress. His vitals still look good, but his heart rate is starting to climb.
Buck’s face twists, and he makes a small, pained noise. Eddie’s own heart rate spikes and he starts fumbling with his other hand, searching for the nurse call button –
“Eddie…” Buck whispers.
Eddie shifts his grip, grasping Buck’s hand firmly. “I’m right here.”
Buck shakes his head back and forth. “Eddie…”
Oh god, is Buck hallucinating? Eddie’s just about to press the call button when Buck’s eyes fly open and he sits bolt upright, his gaze skittering around frantically.
“Eddie!” he gasps again. “Where’s –?”
“Buck, Buck, I’m right here!” Eddie squeezes Buck’s hand. “It’s okay, I’m right here.”
Buck’s eyes finally land on him. He blinks a few times, like he’s expecting Eddie to disappear any second. Eddie squeezes his hand again and Buck looks down quickly before looking back up at Eddie.
“You-you’re okay?” Buck rasps.
Eddie smiles. “I’m okay, you’re okay. We’re both okay.”
Buck presses his lips together into a thin line, still clearly uneasy. Eddie can’t blame him; after all, he walked himself across the hospital room in bare feet just so he could get his hands on Buck to reassure himself that Buck was fine, even if he had the evidence right in front of his eyes.
“Here,” Eddie says. He takes Buck’s hand and touches Buck’s index and middle fingers to his pulse point, just like he’d done for Buck earlier. “Feel that? That’s my heart. I’m here with you.”
“Ye-yeah,” Buck croaks. He presses his fingers more insistently against Eddie’s wrist.
They stay like that for a few minutes, just sitting in silence, Buck’s fingers on Eddie’s pulse, Eddie’s eyes on Buck’s monitor. Buck’s heart rate slowly returns to normal and Eddie finally feels like he can breathe easily again.
Eventually, Buck clears his throat. “Do you… do you remember what I said?”
“You think I was gonna forget you telling me you’re in love with me?” Eddie teases gently.
Buck blushes, averting his gaze. “I’m sorry –”
“Don’t apologize,” Eddie interrupts. Then a horrible thought strikes him. “Unless you didn’t mean –”
“No!” Buck’s wide-eyed gaze snaps back to him. “No, I’m just sorry that I told you like that. I wish– I wish it was in a romantic setting, not a life or death one.”
Eddie brings Buck’s hand up to his lips. “Once we get out of here, I’ll take you out for dinner. That new fancy Italian place that just opened.” He kisses Buck’s knuckles. “You can tell me again then.”
Buck gives him a bashful, pleased smile. “Deal.”

kiss me with everyone watching by prettyboybuckley
3.8k | 1/1 | Teen and Up | No Warnings Apply | Evan "Buck" Buckley/Eddie Diaz
For the @911bingo prompt: Dared to Make Out (though I realized too late it said make-out and not kiss so it's, like, barely making out)
Summary:
The moment Chimney opens his mouth and utters those words, Eddie knows that it's going to happen, that he's going to be kissing Buck because Buck isn't going to back down from a dare. (And neither is Eddie if he's being honest.) "I dare you," Chim says, his eyes sparkling with mischief, a smug grin on his face. For a moment, Buck doesn't move, and then he turns around and promptly drops himself into Eddie's lap in the armchair. OR: The team has drinks at the Grant-Nash house and Chim comes up with a dare that might either be the best or the worst thing that has ever happened to Eddie

Good golly 👀
i had to cause yknow, good golly miss molly. it’s destiny
ok. so. despite the snippet im about to show you, this one is pwp GFFJHDGDG
the only established relationship ive ever written and also the second ever pwp i would post if i finished it… im embarrassed to share the core concept in case i never finish it gjfhdjffhdh but, here’s a snippet:
Eddie doesn’t really think about it again until a few days later, home alone and trying to follow the instructions of one of those mailed meals that come with all the ingredients in a paper bag while he waits for Buck to get back from climbing with Albert and Chimney.
Normally they do these together, knocking elbows together in their warmly lit kitchen, but Buck had an extra shift this week, and emergency babysitting duty, on top of weekly plans with the Hans that he insisted on honoring, and it’s already late. Eddie just wanted to have something nice waiting for him when he gets back, so he and the little notecard of instructions that came in the bag are making a valiant attempt together.
He’s got the big slices of sourdough toast out of the oven and slathered with the ricotta mixture and takes extra care piling the charred and seasoned cherry tomatoes on top of it. This is one of the easier recipes, it makes Eddie feel like a master chef, though he would feel mortified to voice that out loud. Buck is the actual master chef in the house. Or, at least compared to Eddie he is. They have fun together in the kitchen, regardless.
He does a subpar job plating the toasts and then does the final step of methodically drizzling a balsamic glaze over the brightly colored mosaic of fresh ingredients, and feels a little giddy with it. He gets why Buck likes this. Eddie probably appreciates the methodical step-by-step nature of it a little more, but he absolutely understands the private thrill of being able to say, I made this for you.
He never really understood the notion of food as a conveyor of love before Buck. Honestly he doesn’t know if he really knew love like this at all before Buck. But now, as he stands barefoot on the cool tile of the kitchen floor and looks at his stupid little charred tomato and ricotta toasts, he knows they mean I love you, and he knows Buck will understand.

“Tummy kisses” 🤲 ‼️
Tummy kisses
Eddie woke up over heated with a numb arm and cotton mouth which he only got when he mouth breathed in his sleep. Something that only happened when he was down and out in a deep sleep where you didn't move even if the earth was shaking and the house was on fire which, admittedly, was not something that happened to Eddie very often. Never say never but Eddie was used to be a light sleeper.
Eddie was always up and moving at the scent of coffee by the time he was sixteen and could drive his sisters wherever they needed to go. The resentment of having to be up before the sun was always tampered a little bit by the fact that his mom would let him have a cup even when his sisters always whined about it. He always drank it black back then even though he'd preferred it with a little bit of creamer because drinking it black was how "adults" drank it and Eddie had prided himself on being an "adult". Sleeping light had transferred into his years in the army and war then to fatherhood and firefighting. Now, knowing what he knew from therapy and all those self reflection exercises Frank made him do through eye rolls and gritted teeth, he could begrudgingly admit that maybe the underlining current of anxiety that skated up his spine might have something to do with the fact that he couldn't remember the last time he slept like a rock but whatever. That wasn't the point.
The point was that he'd been out like a fucking light and he couldn't remember the last time that had happened.
Hell, he couldn't even remember shutting his eyes.
But it all came back to him in fragments by the soft rise and fall of the body beneath him.
A soft snore whistled from above him and Eddie knew it was because Buck had somehow managed to fall asleep on his back again. He always preferred to sleep on his side for that very reason but the couch was too small for both of them stretched out like they were. And yet somehow they made it work.
That felt like a statement that could describe their entire relationship Eddie thought if he was being honest.
Buck had been stretched out on the couch watching some documentary he'd been so patiently saving for when he didn't have to stop and start because they had a shift or a school pick up or errands and work out to run to and from. For the first time in a long time, they had forty-eight hours just to themselves in Buck's loft where Eddie didn't have to pack a bag to stay over anymore because he had a space in the closet and spot on the sink with his normal toiletries.
Eddie had kissed Buck with the insistence that he go watch while he cleaned up dinner and for once Buck hadn't bothered to hide the excitement from his smile when he asked if Eddie was sure. Buck's affinity for documentaries was not something he shared but it had taken a lot of fumbled versions of the conversation for Eddie to vocalize that he didn't mind when Buck indulged in them while he was there. That he liked the quiet and getting to just spend time with Buck without having to carry on a conversation.
When the dishes had been cleaned, Buck's attention had been fully captured by the... whatever it was he'd been watching. It wasn't that he didn't care. It was just Buck had so many interests at one given time that if Eddie tried to keep up with all of them he was pretty sure his head would explode.
Besides, Buck was his boyfriend now which meant apparently, Eddie was allowed to want things without having to pay a price for them. Things like cuddling with his boyfriend on the couch after they'd had a delicious dinner while he watched a documentary about some castle or something.
He had crawled onto the couch and bullied his way into Buck's space without so much as a grunt of displeasure from said boyfriend. Buck had merely gotten comfortable before Eddie had settled his weight on top of him and wrapped his arms around Buck. Buck's fingers had eventually found his hair and it had been lights out for Eddie.
Apparently for Buck too since the TV had turned off but the lights to the kitchen and the soft glow from the loft above were still on.
Eddie wiggled his arm out from being pinned between Buck's hip and the couch and squinted at the time on the oven. They still had a few hours left and Eddie knew that a few hours would be enough to save them both from a backache they wouldn't be able to shake if they stayed there.
Eddie ducked down and pressed a kiss to the sliver of skin where Eddie's hand had shoved up under Buck's t-shirt in his sleep. Buck's stomach was soft beneath his lips and Eddie couldn't help but indulge in a few more kisses before he reached up and rubbed his palm to Buck's chest.
"Baby," Eddie said, his voice croaking from disuse.
Buck sighed in his sleep but refused to wake up and Eddie pressed a trail of kisses up from his stomach to his chest as he climbed up Buck's body. He didn't stop until he was up his throat and to his chin, sitting up so he could straddle Buck's hips and kiss his lips over and over again.
"Wake up, baby," Eddie said between kisses as Buck groaned. Blue eyes appeared from beneath tiny slits as Buck scrunched up his face and Eddie huffed out a laugh as he brushed a thumb over his birthmark. "C'mon. Let's go upstairs."

just had to come tell you again how much i love how you wrote bucks stutter in the platonic sugar baby fic 🥹♥️ I have lots of very strong thoughts and feelings about bucks stutter and also stuttering in general so…yeah. Yeah. Ur great mwah! 🫶🏻
Awww this made me so happy to receive! I've dropped a line or two about Buck's stutter in fics before but when I was watching episodes again for that fic I was just like... wow damn he really does stutter strongly when he's emotional. So I wanted to focus a little more on it in a scene in the fic.
It also felt like a way to drive home to Eddie in that moment just how much he's seeing a new side of Buck and how much he's being let into Buck's life in that moment, and how much Eddie doesn't know about Buck and his life compared to how much Buck knows Eddie's.
You made me so happy saying that I did a good job accurately portraying how a real stutter sounds and how you're taught to speak to overcome it. I always want to be accurate and respectful when portraying a disability, even if it's something people might think is small (like a stutter) or might not see as a disability (like ADHD).
This just really made my day, thank you so very much dear. I'm grateful I could do justice to something that's important to you. ❤️
