Mirandes đã trụ hạng thành công sau trận thắng cách biệt 4-0 trước UD Ibiza ở vòng 40. Hiện tại Mirandes có 49 điểm sau 41 vòng đấu, tạm xếp ở vị trí thứ 15 trên BXH cách nhóm nguy hiểm tới 9 điểm.

Không rớt hạng nhưng không đồng nghĩa đây là một mùa giải thành công của thầy trò Joseba Etxeberria. Mặc dù mới quay lại hạng 2 Tây Ban Nha ba mùa giải nhưng ở hai mùa giải trước Mirandes còn cán đích ở top giữa của BXH. Mùa giải hiện tại, Mirandes lại rơi xuống nửa dưới của BXH, đây là điều mà chẳng một CĐV nào mong muốn.

Mirandes từng có những khoảng thời gian thi đấu thật sự thăng hoa nhưng 6 vòng gần nhất, Mirandes bất ngờ chững lại. 4 trận thua liên tiếp khiến cho đội bóng bị đánh bật ra khỏi top 10. Vòng 40, Mirandes có một chiến thắng tưng bừng 4-0 nhưng ngay lượt trận sau đó họ lại nhận thất bại 0-2 trước Girona. Thời điểm hiện tại, khi đã chắc chắn có vé trụ hạng hy vọng Mirandes sẽ thi đấu cởi mở hơn và cống hiến cho khán giả nhà một trận thắng mãn nhãn.

Đội khách trong trận đấu tới Fuenlabrada đã không còn hy vọng ở mùa giải hiện tại. Mùa giải 2019/2020 khi Fuenlabrada quay lại đấu trường La Liga 2 đã được nhận xét là một con “hắc mã” của giải đấu khi cán đích ở vị trí thứ 8 và chỉ thua đúng 1 điểm so với nhóm tranh vé Play off lên La Liga.

Also I’m saying fuck it to the 3-10 sentence rule and just trying to aim under 1000 words for the rest of these bc that’s NOT ENOUGH SENTENCES. and i never write adrian river... sooooo

Her heart thrums in her veins, time moving agonizingly slow as Adrian keeps watch over River from an chair that she’d pulled up to the side of her bed from across the room. He’s asleep with her sheets pulled up to his collarbones, stabilized, dressings over two gunshot wounds. One on his side, the other on his shoulder.

To just jump in front of her, take a bullet for her… She’s struggling to wrap her head around why he did that. And it had all happened so fast, a red dot she just barely managed to spot crawling up her sternum to her forehead, and then darkness as he stepped in and shielded her from the shots.

Adrian’s heard a lot of wounded sounds in her life, but his keep haunting her, and it’s starting to make her feel nauseous as all hell. He should have let her just take the shots, her implants would have likely protected her. Or given her enough time to drag herself home and take care of her wounds…or she would have just died.

None are particularly terrible options to her, honestly. The way worse scenario would be River giving up the ghost for her, some random suicidal vigilante sniper who has been running around on twice borrowed time anyway. He’s a good man with a family that loves him and vice versa. Last thing she’d want is for them to lose him. Good men are hard to find in this hellish city.

Oh, fuck.

She’s starting to care.

A sudden need to put some space between herself and him propels Adrian out of her chair, her shoulder aching from being pushed into the least padded part of it–

She can’t move without checking his vitals.

Pausing, she casts one more glance at the cell phone-sized monitor displaying them before she quietly pads through the dimness towards the glow of the vending machine in her kitchen, trying to ignore this new revelation that’s making her skin itch.

It’s scary for her to care. Caring deeply for people was something she swore off when her family died— And there’s the guilt now. Making her feel heavy and her insides churn. It’s been years now, but she is ultimately loyal to a fault, and it almost feels like she’s betraying her late husband to have feelings for another man.

Marek would want her to be happy, deep down she knows it, he would hate to see what she’s become, but…

Adrian hits a few buttons on the vending machine beside her mini fridge, rubbing a hand across her brow with a heavy sigh as the eddies deduct from her account in the bottom left corner of her vision, two bottles advertising ‘real’ water dropping down into the basket with a thud that echoes in the silent apartment.

It doesn’t matter how she feels, River is here now and she has to take care of him for what he did. He should be fine though, definitely sore for a few weeks while his body knits itself back together, but she did a pretty fucking great job of getting them all cleaned and debrided. 

It’s been a few years since she was a licensed medical professional, but years of surgeries and the way the military and then trauma team drilled information into their people made it pretty hard to forget…and thank fuck, thinking about anything except River and the growing feelings she’s been trying to successfully ignore until now is helping, until she realizes she’s quietly walking back to her bed– and him.  

She freezes a few steps away when River groans and stirs, his cybernetic eye glowing a brighter white as he wakes up. It’s dim in her apartment, there’s just not a lot of light in it to begin with, but with her upgraded kiroshis she can see him blink as he takes in his surroundings, growing increasingly tense until his warm brown eye lands on her and he relaxes.  

“Hey, Bennett.” His voice is raspy and deep from sleep, and way too fucking warm for her hyper-aware little brain to stand right now. “Surprised you haven’t sold me for parts yet.”

The teasing gives her just enough of a reboot, Adrian forcing herself to walk forward and set the two waters down on the night table. “I was, you just woke up before I could get started.” 

River chuckles as he tries to pull himself up, his expression contorting into a grimace as she reflexively reaches out and puts a hand on top of his shoulder to stop him from moving and screwing up all her hard work.

“Don’t move.” Adrian’s voice wavers a little as she places her cold hand on his shoulder, taking care not to touch the dressing. Through she really should just give him a punch in it for being an overprotective dumbass.

There’s a pause between them when their eyes meet, the air shifting and suddenly feeling..heavier as she stands over him. He really is handsome…and she needs to stop. She pulls away with a sigh. “Um, I can get you anything you need. Just don’t move.” 

“So, uh, what’s the damage?” River asks, sliding back down and mercifully pulling the blanket back up his toned chest. She pulls her hand away. 

“Eh, a shot through your upper pectoralis major, another tore through your exterior oblique but missed a rib.” Adrian recounts, trying to ignore how the tips of her fingers tingle now and he listens to her so intently. 

She loses the battle faster than she’d like to admit, rubbing her thumb over her fingertips to scratch the tingly itch. It helps a little. 

“Some of us didn’t go to medical school.” 

Adrian rolls her eyes at his poor attempt at the humor she's always hated in movies while River reaches for one of the waters, groaning in discomfort when his wounded shoulder stretches. 

“Through your tit and side, dumbass.” Adrian swats his hand away, cracking the cap on the bottle and handing it to him with a pointed look. He never fucking listens when it matters.  

“Thank you. Sorry.” “Don’t mention it.” 

While he drinks, Adrian allows herself to settle back into the chair beside him. Fidgeting with the rough edge of her blanket so she isn’t just…staring at him while he drains the bottle.  

“Y’know, this is a nice apartment.” River compliments thoughtfully, screwing the cap back onto the bottle with one hand. 

The anxiety and tension that’s been making her feel so…edgy flashes to anger, Adrian finally starting to get a little pissed at how cavalier he’s taking all of this. He could have fucking died for her, and now he thinks he can be all cute about it. 

“How dare you.” She snaps before she can stop herself, crossing her arms and frowning at him.

River frowns, offering the bottle of water back to her without stretching his injured shoulder this time. “I…can’t compliment your apartment?” 

“It’s not that and you fucking know it. Why did you take those shots for me? Didn’t take you for a total gonk.”

Confusingly enough, a smile slowly spreads across his face. Maybe she gave him too high a dose of painkiller and that’s why he’s being so chill, she did kinda have to guesstimate his weight. 

“Aww, you don’t think I’m a total gonk?” He says lightly. “Someone was worried about me.”

“I was not.” Adrian retorts, not nearly as sharply as she meant to.

“I think someone might care about me.” River’s smile widens, the warm teasing making her feel like a petulant child in how it makes her just want to pout and turn away from him with her arms crossed.

Adrian scoffs. “I do not.” 

“Whatever you have to tell yourself.” River looks away, shifting around and adjusting his blankets. “Anyway, you would have done the same for me.” 

“You don’t know that.”

She would. Of course she would. 

“No, I don’t…but I like to think you would.” River says thoughtfully, looking back up at her with a look that she can't quite place. He's right...though she'll never let him know that until the time comes— and he fucking lets her. He needs to learn to share the protective life threatening stunts.

“I’ll let you live in the fantasy. Now go back to sleep, I haven’t discharged you yet.”

“Have you slept yet?”

“Don’t worry about that.”

He frowns at her, clearly displeased but he's alive because she stayed up...and she doesn't really sleep much anyway. He knows this. He also knows if he picks a fight with her she'll just get that much more stubborn about whatever they're talking about, so someone just needs to pipe down and get his rest.

“Adrian-“ He starts exasperatedly, about to continue bickering with her she’s sure, so she quickly interrupts him.

“I can put those bullets right back in if you don’t listen to me. Still got them over there.” She nods toward the bloody mess of towels, clothes on the few tiles of her kitchen floor, a plastic bag of metal shards sitting on the counter above them. Only one of the bullets had fragmented, and it only split into four easy pieces at that.

So whoever was after her tonight wasn’t that experienced, because it really should have been way fucking worse. Must be a bounty out there on her head now, she’s gotta remember to check her sites and see how high the price is and where she’s been posted to gauge whatever danger she’s in.

River just sighs, conceding as he relaxes into her grey sheets. She’s pretty certain she’s going to have to get new ones after this.

“Night, Ward.” She says victoriously, keeping her expression neutral, but she can’t resist giving him a firm pat on the arm.

“Goodnight, Bennett.”

THE FLAVORS OF BICOL

One of the greatest pleasures in life is to discover, taste, and eat the best food we can find. When I say I did taste a few and it was good it may sound like an understatement. Bicol region is home of the finest food, the I may not have navigated the entire Bicol as a whole but I got the privilege to taste the flavors of Bicol region from regular ‘Karinderyas,’ restaurants, Tito’s and Titas who cook during events or birthdays, and even my personal skill in cooking. I can’t say I’ve reached the pinnacle of my culinary skills but let’s just say my caterpillar cooking skills are yet to become a butterfly. So, for now, I am going to share the greatest food in Bicol I tasted and tried cooking, improvising, and modifying by myself.

Starting things strong, allow me to introduce our very own Bicol express, by far the most popular dish from Bicol. They say that your trip in Bicol is not complete until you taste their Bicol express. I mean who would not blame them? It’s a dish to die for. It is a stew-based dish, commonly made from coconut milk, pork meat, shrimp paste, and chili. But I have a different version of Bicol Express on my own, the secret is to barbecue the meat and let it simmer with the other ingredients, this will give the dish a brand-new taste.

Next up on the menu is the Laing, locally known as ‘natong.’ Many Bicolanos don’t fancy such a dish because this recipe often has a bad name and reputation that will scratch your tongue along with the throat when you eat it. But the secret is all about the preparation, if you truly want the Laing to taste perfectly you have to be patient cooking it. The most important part of cooking Laing is you do not mix it vigorously, when you first put it in the mixture you do not have to stir it right away, let it soak for a bit then slowly push it downwards then mix it gently, that’s how you make a perfectly prepared Laing. We Bicolanos just could not resist the temptation of putting coconut milk in most of our dishes like the Sinantolan, it has a similar recipe to the Bicol express but this time we throw in the Santol or cotton fruit into the mixture. This gives the dish a creamy, sour, and spicy kick just the way we Bicolanos feel like eating it. Just to alter the taste I personally make a mixture of sugar, citric acid, and pineapple basically making a sweetened pineapple.

Moving on, if you don’t fancy dishes for now how about our Bicolano Miryendas. We have our very own special Pancit Bato. What makes it so special is not about what you add up to the recipe or cooking style you go for, it is in the noodles themselves. In fact, you can just sauté the onions and garlic and put the noodles in and you are already in for a treat. If you are still hungry, you better not forget the Biniribid, Arroyo, Sinapot, and Balisunsong.

Of course, our meal would not be completed without a dessert. If you want to spice things up, how about our chili ice cream? We just couldn’t have enough spicy food, didn't we? Truly a masterpiece dessert delicacy. 

Food embodies the culture of a particular place, city, or region. us to know the place and its people, we have to taste their food. So, if you truly want to understand the people or of Bicol as a whole, why not give it a go? Good food can come from anywhere but the greatest foods come from the Bicol region. Only now do I truly understand what these words meant. Our creativity, improvisations, and ideas in cooking shows, that we can the produce the best recipes.

Concluye en Arroyo Seco gira del DIF Estatal por la Sierra de Querétaro

La Presidenta del Patronato del Sistema Estatal DIF, Sra. Karina Castro de Domínguez, se despidió de los 4 municipios de la sierra donde permaneció 5 días y repartió sillas de ruedas, andaderas, muletas y bastones. En la última jornada de trabajo, la Titular del DIF Estatal estuvo en el auditorio delegacional de la comunidad de Purísima de Arista en el municipio de Arroyo Seco, donde puso en marcha la Entrega de Ayudas Funcionales. “Es a través de sillas de ruedas, andaderas, bastones y muletas que nos acercamos a las y los queretanos que viven en situación de vulnerabilidad para darles acceso a una mejor calidad de vida y puedan realizar sus actividades sin impedimentos”, indicó en su mensaje.

En este sentido, la Sra. Karina Castro de Domínguez aseguró  que la nueva Presidenta del SEDIF hará un excelente trabajo por todos los serranos y todos los queretanos más necesitados. Asimismo dijo que está convencida que la presidenta entrante va a darle continuidad a los proyectos para que el beneficio se siga postergando. “El DIF Estatal ha sido para mí una familia con la que he crecido los últimos años de mi vida y donde tuve la oportunidad de recorrer cada rincón del estado, conociendo personas que como ya lo mencioné cambiaron mi vida y por esta razón deben saber que tienen en Karina Castro una amiga dispuesta a ayudarles sin importar la trinchera en la que me encuentre para tenderles la mano y nunca soltarla”, enfatizó a los beneficiarios.

En el evento estuvo la Presidenta Municipal, Iliana Montes Ríos; la Presidenta del DIF Municipal de Arroyo Seco, Rosa Natalicia Ríos Licea; y el Director General del DIF Municipal, Adrian Josué Juárez Montes. Posteriormente, las autoridades del SEDIF se trasladaron al domicilio de la Sra. María Leticia Solano Padrón, a quien se le apoyó con la mano de obra para pintar la fachada de su nueva casa que fue también amueblada. El domicilio es habitado por la propietaria, su esposo y su hija de 6 años. En total en los 4 municipios serranos, la Sra. Karina Castro de Domínguez repartió 79 ayudas funcionales en 4 eventos, pintó las fachadas y entregó 4 viviendas con menaje, visitó 2 grupos de desarrollo comunitarios, recorrió 3 macrotúneles, llevó una jornada de salud,  inauguró la remodelación de la UBR del Sistema DIF Municipal de Jalpan, se comprometió a gestionar más recursos para los macrotúneles, la adquisición de tinacos, incrementar las capacitaciones  y continuar con la entrega de semillas.

MLB Power Rankings: Dodgers, Padres and then chaos reigns on our Week 3 list

The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres held on to their perch atop our MLB Power Rankings as they prepare to meet again — this time in a four-game series starting Thursday at Dodger Stadium.

Putting the two NL West rivals there was the easy part. But putting any order to the rest of the 28 teams in baseball right now starts to get very tricky very quickly. Did our voters reward first-place surprises like the Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals and Seattle Mariners? How much faith do they still have in preseason favorites who have started slowly (we’re looking at you, New York Yankees, Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves)? And just how high does an 11-game winning streak move the Oakland Athletics on our list?

Here is what our expert panel decided based on what we’ve seen in the first three weeks of the season. We also asked ESPN MLB experts David Schoenfield, Bradford Doolittle, Joon Lee, Jesse Rogers and Alden Gonzalez to weigh in with one Week 2 observation for all 30 teams.

1. Los Angeles Dodgers

Record: 14-4 Previous ranking: 1

Kenley Jansen reached 97 mph, threw his cutter in the mid-90s and featured some wipeout sliders in a save against the Mariners on Tuesday. One of his longtime catchers, Austin Barnes, admitted that it has been “a couple years” since Jansen’s stuff popped like that. If he has suddenly rediscovered his 2017 form, who can possibly beat the Dodgers? — Gonzalez

2. San Diego Padres

The Padres dropped two out of three in a heated weekend series against the Dodgers, but they could have easily won all three games. Their starting pitching depth is really beginning to show itself with Adrian Morejon slated for Tommy John surgery and Dinelson Lamet‘s status in question. Ryan Weathers has stepped up in the No. 5 spot of a rotation that still features Yu Darvish, Blake Snell, Joe Musgrove and Chris Paddack. — Gonzalez

3. Boston Red Sox

Record: 12-7 Previous ranking: 12

This doesn’t look like the Boston team that finished in last place last season. Designated hitter J.D. Martinez has returned to slugger form since the return of in-game video, while both Nathan Eovaldi and Eduardo Rodriguez have started strong on the mound. The Red Sox have the most wins in the American League, with surprises like infielder Christian Arroyo and Rule 5 reliever Garrett Whitlock making substantive impacts. –Lee

Francisco Lindor is off to a slow start, hitting .222 and finally belting his first home run Wednesday night, but that should turn around soon enough. He’s showing the best plate discipline of his career with nine walks and just three strikeouts, but he hasn’t been squaring the ball up enough. No complaints about his defense, which has been terrific. — Schoenfield

Record: 10-9 Previous ranking: 10

The Rays rallied with a three-game sweep of the Yankees after dropping a four-game series against the Texas Rangers. Tyler Glasnow continues to look like a bona fide ace, with an 0.73 ERA and 36 strikeouts that are both fifth best in baseball. Last year’s postseason darling Randy Arozarena, meanwhile, finds himself in the middle of a slump, hitting .219/.306/.250 in his last eight games. –Lee

6. Oakland Athletics

Record: 12-7 Previous ranking: 18

The Athletics shook off a 1-7 start to go on a scalding-hot 11-game winning streak, relying on consistent starting pitching and clutch hitting. Infielder Jed Lowrie, who played a total of nine games in 2019 and 2020, leads the Oakland offense with a .323/.400/.516 line and six doubles and two homers through 17 games. — Lee

Chicago has been stuck in a win-one, lose-one cycle that reflects the up-and-down tendencies of a starting rotation that still looks promising. The last week or so has seen this pattern, with Carlos Rodon throwing the 20th no-hitter in White Sox history and ace Lucas Giolito getting tagged for eight runs in two innings at Fenway Park. When the rotation can piece together a couple of consistent weeks, the White Sox will be poised to go on a tear. — Doolittle

What more can be said of Corbin Burnes, or for that matter, the combo of Burnes and Brandon Woodruff? Beating the Padres in San Diego was a big series win for a MiIwaukee team at the top of the NL Central despite not having Christian Yelich or Lorenzo Cain. — Rogers

Shohei Ohtani was a bit erratic in his return to the mound on Tuesday, issuing six walks and falling behind on 13 of the 19 batters he faced. But it was his first start in 16 days, the product of a pesky blister. And he was nonetheless difficult to square up. If Ohtani can keep having some impact on the rotation, the Angels might have a shot. — Gonzalez

10. Atlanta Braves

Record: 8-10 Previous ranking: 6

Atlanta ranked 25th in rotation ERA (5.31) through Tuesday, and Max Fried and Drew Smyly are on the IL. Unfortunately, Mike Soroka was shut down in early April with shoulder inflammation and has yet to resume throwing. In the meantime, Bryse Wilson and Kyle Wright will get yet another opportunity to show something in the rotation. — Schoenfield

Record: 9-8 Previous ranking: 13

The Reds need Luis Castillo to figure things out to stick around the playoff race. His 6.05 ERA is dragging the staff mark down to No. 17 in baseball. His struggles are offset by strong early production from Wade Miley, Jeff Hoffman and Tyler Mahle. On offense, the Reds aren’t reliant on one or two hitters. Tyler Naquin has cooled off, but others have picked up the slack. — Rogers

Record: 11-7 Previous ranking: 19

The Giants’ rotation carries the sport’s fourth-lowest ERA. Five members of that rotation — Kevin Gausman, Anthony DeSclafani, Aaron Sanchez, Alex Wood and Johnny Cueto — could be free agents at season’s end. So if the Giants fall out of contention around midseason, they might be able to spin them off to acquire some nice controllable pieces for the next phase of their trajectory. — Gonzalez

Record: 6-11 Previous ranking: 5

After the first week of the season, the Twins looked like a team on the verge of putting it all together. My, how fast the wind can change in April. Jose Berrios has had a couple of so-so outings. No one seems to be hitting other than Nelson Cruz, as Byron Buxton has again struggled to stay on the field. A veteran-heavy bullpen that looked on paper like it might be one of baseball’s best has been horrendous. And, of course, everything has been disrupted by COVID-related absences and postponements. It’s been a bad month for the Twins, but lucky for them, no one in the AL Central looks to be sprinting away with the division any time soon. — Doolittle

The burden on the Cleveland rotation to prop up a bad offense can be illustrated by two stats. Its starters rank sixth in the majors during the first month in average game score, even though Zach Plesac has struggled. Nevertheless, Cleveland’s starters have out-game-scored the opposing starter only half the time — a .500 mark by this metric. For all his dominance, even Shane Bieber has fallen prey to this dynamic. His average game score over four starts is 71, ranking fifth in baseball. Yet Bieber’s game score record is only 2-2. — Doolittle

15. Houston Astros

Houston started the season by making the Oakland Athletics look like the Bad News Bears, but what comes around came around with a vengeance. Oakland was five games back of the Astros after six games of the season. Now the Astros have thudded into the basement of the AL West after losing several key players to the injured list because of health and safety protocols. Houston’s patchwork offense has struggled to put up more than two or three runs per game, underscoring the importance of the Astros’ health scenario in the months to come. — Doolittle

16. New York Yankees

Record: 6-11 Previous ranking: 3

The series sweep by the Tampa Bay Rays represented the low point in this young season for the Bronx Bombers, with fans throwing objects on the field. General manager Brian Cashman isn’t ready to hit the panic button yet, preaching patience in both the team’s roster and the coaching staff. But the team’s offense — expected to be the biggest strength — and the rotation have both struggled, exacerbating the other’s weaknesses. — Lee

17. Seattle Mariners

Record: 11-7 Previous ranking: 24

2020 Rookie of the Year Kyle Lewis returned to the lineup on Tuesday, and rumor is that Jarred Kelenic may not be far behind. Two big bright spots early on: Mitch Haniger, after not playing since June of 2019, is hitting and playing a good right field; and Kendall Graveman is throwing in the upper 90s with movement and location out of the bullpen. — Schoenfield

Record: 10-7 Previous ranking: 22

You don’t want to overreact to a small sample of defensive stats, so put this observation in the “things to keep an eye on” basket: The Royals are dead last in defensive runs saved in the early going. The thing is, Kansas City is roughly break-even in DRS as compiled by the actual fielders. Victoria de Durango. – La mañana de este miércoles 13 de junio, en el Aula Alejandro Guillot del Instituto Tecnológico de Durango (ITD), se llevó a cabo la premiación de la etapa local del Evento Nacional Estudiantil de Innovación Tecnológica 2018, del Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM), donde se dieron a conocer los proyectos ganadores y próximos participantes de la próxima etapa regional a celebrarse en el Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Fresnillo, Zac., donde buscarán su pase al próximo Evento Nacional.

En la premiación el Ing. Jesús Astorga Pérez, Director del ITD, recalcó a los participantes el profundo orgullo que toda la comunidad técnica tiene por su participación en este evento, el cual resalta los talentos de todos los jóvenes, así como su capacidad de inventiva, innovación y compromiso social, de la misma forma que el trabajo de los asesores quienes año con año motivan y llevan de la mano a los estudiantes a formar sus ideas; Astorga Pérez  destacó también que el Tecnológico de Durango siempre se ha caracterizado por liderar los eventos Nacionales del ENEIT y aseguró que este año los proyectos presentados llevan consigo un nivel extraordinario el cual no duda se reflejará en excelentes resultados para llegar al nacional.

El Evento Nacional Estudiantil de Innovación Tecnológica (ENEIT), es llevado a cabo en el ITD, gracias a la coordinación del equipo de trabajo del Departamento de Gestión Tecnológica y Vinculación, bajo la titularidad del L.A. Sergio Oswaldo Covarrubias Ramírez, y  es considerado el encuentro más importante de jóvenes inventores en México, el cual, presenta a los mejores estudiantes que se destacan por su talento y creatividad, a través de proyectos innovadores de base tecnológica que surgen de su iniciativa individual, colectiva o que resuelven retos para la solución de problemas que presenta el sector público o privado.
