daily gentle reminder that the words we use to describe ourselves are labels. they're not immutable states of being, they're not all-encompassing, they're not permanent, they're not universal; labels are just words that we use to indicate something about our experience that we find important enough to communicate to others. if your experience with attraction is significantly different enough from a typical allo experience then aspec labels are there for you to use as long as you want them; and conversely, what aspec labels communicate is just that someone's experience is aligned enough with what we describe as aromanticism/asexuality to warrant telling people about it. you never need a label, you never need to keep a label, you never need to justify a label, and you never need to use a label for anything besides what you want it for. it's not a contract. it's an adjective that you can choose to use or not to use. all it needs to do is be useful for you. 💚🖤

Made some of my own One Piece sillies in Tomodachi Life! The QR codes also work with the regular mii maker and I’ve allowed copying so anyone can change anything they want.

And heads up, I put the Sanji’s sex as female so he can get married to Zoro cause gay people don’t exist in the game 😔 (and I didn’t put his real last name cause he doesn’t like it).

For my Cora, I put his name the way it would be in English cause I want to marry him and be Mrs. Donquixote (as soon as I figure out how to divorce Link first, lol)

Stand Showcase #18: Tiney Winey

"Less is more" This is TINEY WINEY, the Close-Range Support Stand, and the 10th of the 18 Stands your main character can play!

"The Warden Stand" has the powerful ability to "simplify reality for the user to understand", subtracting features from what it touches to transmute it into the simplest possible version of itself. This "simplification" exists at three stages: Stage 1 simply makes its targets more streamlined, while Stage 2 starts to become more offensive as the target starts to lose vital features, until we reach Stage 3, which causes the target to start to become abstract.

Tiney Winey, fittlingly, has a very simple gameplay gimmick: Its usage of three unique status effects that reflect the three stages of its ability: Simple 1, Simple 2 and Simple 3. Simple 1 is a support effect that prevents party members from gaining new status effects, Simple 2 is a debuff that drains an enemy's stats and will eventually allow the user to predict their actions, and Simple 3 constricts the target and amplifies the effects of Simple 2.

reminder to everyone that trauma IS a valid reason to use aspec labels. "i don't know if i'm aspec or just traumatized—" protip!!! you can be both!!!! the thing about labels is that they're not immutable states of being that you're born as. they're literally just words that we use to describe our lived experiences, and if asexual or aromantic or any related label feel relevant to the way that you experience attraction, whether it's a result of trauma or not, they're there for you to use. having trauma as a cause does not invalidate the fact that someone is experiencing lesser or no attraction. that's still the aspec experience babey. use the label if you want it's there for you <3

August update! A little late, but... y'know how it is.

Life continues to be busy, but I've been working on patching the upcoming Summer Y1 beta in response to bugs discovered by beta testers. Currently, the Summer beta needs one cutscene and two small quests, plus some Ask About menu work and some additional beta testing but is otherwise pretty much complete.

My big priorities last month were knocking out reported bugs and doing some low priority but time-consuming tasks, like improving the menu contrast. I combed through 3000+ graphics and redid a huge chunk of them. Hopefully it's a little easier on the eyeballs now.

Though I'm not yet sure how much more time beta testing and those last couple event/quest scripts will take, I can say the Summer Y1 beta is in a good state right now. I'm excited to share it with you once it's ready!
