Finally got around to buying the Nikke profile stickers I want since I keep drawing dupes! Bought all the Bow Wow Paradise ones!! It was one of my fave events bc I love dogs and dog girls and Happy Zoo and ESPECIALLY Biscuit so much. As you can see, I got all the 'dog' girls as my showcase team, too, lol:

When you walked into Allison's with multiple boxes and bags for the Hargreeves, they all knew you were at it again with your insane yet accurate gift giving. They started with cake, then moved over to presents.

Gift giving in the family was like secret Santa in a way. Everyone would essentially get gifts for all the others, and they'd pass around gifts one by one, usually by number order. Luther was always first, Viktor always last. Lila usually snuck in around Diego, because duh. Viktor had gotten used to being last, the forgotten one. But around his family now, he knew it wasn't like that anymore. He'd rather go last so everyone else could have their special time on their special day.

So, the group sets the gifts tagged for Luther on the table in front of him. The kids halfway watch from afar, paying attention to the TV and their toys more than their celebrating parents, aunts, and uncles.

You were among the minority in the house that didn't share a birthday with them, thank God. You would've gone insane over big birthdays like this.

Five, meanwhile, was going insane over you basically ignoring him all day.

You'd gotten Luther some workout gear, knowing he'd taken up going to the gym within the past couple of years. Among other gifts were little trinkets and other things he wanted. He was a little hard to shop for, never really wanting anything, enjoying the quality time over any gift giving.

Next was Diego, and inside the gift you got for him, was a knife sharpening kit. He'd lost his old one just in time. Lila came up next, receiving a few nice outfits you found for her and a gift card to Cosmoprof, as she'd been thinking about re-dyeing her hair to white again.

Next up was Allison, grateful for the numerous acting job business cards you'd given her on top of a bunch of books that were on her Amazon wishlist. She was a serious reader who wanted to get back into acting, now.

Klaus was after her, ecstatic about a carry-around cleaning kit. You were going to go with a joint maker to make his life easier before he got sober. Now he wouldn't need a full bag of cleaning supplies, he'd have your perfect gift.

Five decided to go last, wanting to watch his family be happy more than open presents himself.

Ben was next, receiving some letters from modeling agencies. As he should.

Viktor was second to last, very appreciative for the new drink recipes you'd made and found for him atop the pile of clothes you'd gotten him.

You disappeared around dusk, leaving Five to open his presents without presence. He was physically eighteen, mentally sixty-two today.

As he looks up, seeing the lack of you around, he hides a soft frown. He noticed how you weren't standing near him all night, how you barely even spoke around him.

"Did you do something to Y/n?" Klaus asks out of the blue. "They just kinda... dissappeared"

Five shrugs. "I don't think I did. Even if I did do something, they'd talk it out with me"

Allison shrugs. "I think that's them" she comments, looking out the screen door to see you pull up in your car again. "Diego, could you get the door?"

Diego turns around, unlocking the door for you, holding it open as he sees you holding a big box.

"Why is that box bigger than you?"

"Also, why is it moving?"

You set the box on the table in front of Five, a wide smile on your face. "Open it"

He slowly sets aside the large box of coffee pods he received from Diego to the side, slowly reaching for the box flaps. As he pulls them to the side, out jumps a little dog.

"Oh my God?"

Five smiles, pulling the puppy into his lap. He looks up at you, a glimmer in his eyes. "Why did you get me a dog?"

You shrug, moving the box off the table. "You're a lonely old man, you need some company"

He chuckles, petting the pug's head.

"What're you gonna name it?" Ben asks, arms crossed.

"Him" You correct

"Mr. Pennycrumb" Five answers.

"Why?" Luther asks.

The physically younger boy shrugs. "Why not?"

"Interesting choice" Klaus mutters with a shrug.

Five smiles up at you, giddy like a little kid. "Thank you"

Development Sidequest: The Mystery Game Jam

Back in February, I planned out my next several months to help stay on track for Amadeus: A Riddle for Thee ~ Episode 1 ~Waltz to release this Fall. I had a good chunk of work planned for April:

Mechanics - prototype + implement all "Must-Have" new mechanics for the full game

Background Art - finish 1-2 new backgrounds (to avoid screwing up my wrists again drawing all of them at the last minute) (also because I learned that how I draw the backgrounds impacts how I write the scenes)

Sprite Art - finish 1-2 new sprites

Music - fully flesh out a placeholder track for 1-2 BGM pieces

Narrative - write first draft of all scenes through a certain point in the game (naturally these scenes will change when it comes time to implement, that's just how this goes)

Marketing - prepare + announce 100 Wishlists celebration; make + publish press kit

Which is a lot, but doable if I'm working at it consistently. I'm only working part-time, and Amadeus is  my "real" job, so to speak. Right?

Wellllllllll...... there's this little thing called the Mystery Game Jam.

Suffice it to say that I did not accomplish all of the above, but I DID write an entire mystery game. More below. Stay updated here: linktr.ee/amadeusgame

I heard about the jam, and thought back to my previous devlog where I discussed at length how doing other random projects when I was "supposed" to be working on Amadeus has been so valuable for me. I also felt that it would be wise to get more mystery writing experience doing something low-stakes and small-scope, to pull away from this single massive project for a bit and just work on the craft of writing. It would help me learn more about my own process. Also, it would be fun!

So I got a group of people together and gave myself the role of writing our game. I've had a ton of help brainstorming, solving plot issues, and generally improving things thanks to my teammates; the whole process has been collaborative (which is what makes game jams fun). However, I've been responsible for actually writing all of it.

As a result Amadeus had to get put on the backburner, because it turns out that brainstorming + outlining + coordinating + finalizing + writing-with-full-implementation-directions, a complete mystery story- that doesn't have a thousand plotholes- in a month, is a ton of work. Fun work! But a lot of it. As a result, what I actually accomplished from my April to-do list for Amadeus is closer to...

Prototyped "save/load" mechanic

Implemented mechanic that can create pauses mid-text-appearance for dramatic effect

Researched and sketched 1 new point-and-click background

Have sketches for 2 BGM pieces (but both need to be more fleshed out to be usable as placeholders)

Outlined draft of narrative for 1 new scene in the intro (but needs a lot more detail/workshopping)

Planned 100 Wishlists celebration (but didn't get everything ready to announce)

Made draft + format of press kit

Which is, honestly, still a decent chunk! I'll have to do some work readjusting next month's to-do list to account for the fact I'm a little behind, but it's reassuring to see that even in a month where most of my energy was dedicated to a side project, I still got a lot done.

For the remainder of this log, I want to discuss the process of writing our Mystery Jam game. I have learned so much from it and it's been an incredibly rewarding (if, at times, difficult) process. Collaborations are such a completely different beast from solo projects.

Mystery Game Jam Retrospective

It's a bit strange to write a retrospective when the game jam isn't actually over yet, but my role is mostly finished and I've handed it off to our implementation guy who is hard at work. You're doing great, S1x. Keep it up!

I've done a ton of game jams in the past, but they were always weekend-long jams and I was always just doing audio for them. I've never done a month-long jam before, and I've never taken on a primary role that wasn't as a musician. This was a lot of firsts for me.

I truly believe that game jams don't teach you as much about game development as they teach you about project management. To actually finish a game, so many things have to happen that are all interdependent, and you have to figure out what to do first and who to talk to at what stage so it all somehow comes together on a super-strict deadline. This interdependency is even more apparent for mystery games, where it's fully expected that the player will be paying attention to clues all across text, visuals, and interface. You can't give a completely finalized asset list to artists until you know exactly what every aspect of your mystery will be, otherwise you'll end up forcing your icon artist to re-draw the same asset a bunch of times to match the tweaks you made to the story.

So the biggest obstacle in making this game was that we didn't reach the "details of mystery are completely finalized" stage until over halfway through the month, mostly because I kept putting it off (I'd overwhelmed myself by giving myself all this and also Amadeus homework). We also had to coordinate across time zones and work schedules which introduced additional delays. We got to that point eventually though! Notably, once I had figured out some important things...

This is a collaboration. I was trying to do too much big braining on my own at times when what I really needed to do was schedule a voice call with teammates and bounce ideas. Talking things out with our background artist in particular helped a lot with getting past some hurdles that were really not working.

I am not a writer who can design a mystery puzzle in a vacuum and then add characters as set dressing on top. Once I realized I was stuck, I decided to just start writing out the prologue scene to get a feel for the characters and setting; this forced me to create unique characters who had a reason to be there, and those reasons gave me ideas for the mystery. It turns out that designing a puzzle is a lot like solving a puzzle: if one angle isn't working, take a break and try another angle. You'll learn more about the puzzle, how it works, and eventually all that knowledge will come together and you'll figure it out.

This is a game jam game. This is (probably) not going to be anyone's magnum opus. This is going to be a very fun silly knockoff Ace Attorney game with a robot detective. I'm generally good at keeping a chill attitude for weekend-long game jams, but because we had a month I was taking it way too seriously at first.

Most importantly... it's not reasonable to write an entire new mystery from start to end in a month while also doing a ton of work on Amadeus and working part-time. So I eventually told myself it was OK to ignore everything else except work and the game jam for a while, and focus on this.

(...I also spent about 20 hours obsessively working on my Very Spoilery Ghost Trick ROMhack when I was overwhelmed, as a sort of escape. It was obvious that my brain was refusing to work on the game jam so I just let it do what it wanted for a few days. Sometimes the ADHD wins.)

Reaching that key point-- the point where all of the details were finalized and everyone knew exactly what needed to get done-- was a huge milestone. But even after that, I still had to actually write the words for all of it. Writing in the sense of "mapping out the major plot beats and details of the mystery," and writing in the sense of "actually writing, line-by-line, the text of the game along with implementation instructions" are completely different skillsets. I already knew this from my experience working on Amadeus, but I had to re-learn it here.

Fortunately, by the time I was sitting down writing words, our musician had written some total bangers for the game and I was able to listen to those to really set the tone for what I was writing. If a certain dialogue box cues the "totally-not-objection" theme, then the energy for those next few dialogue entries should be VERY high energy. Listening to that theme while writing made sure it matched! And once our player character artist had designed the MC, I was able to find that character's "voice" much more easily to match the energy of that character. The work of other teammates helped inspire me to do my own work, and have more fun doing it.

I really like doing these collaborations because it's fun to make something completely different than what I would make alone. I also like collaborating because there are certain changes I'm forced to make to my workflow in order to make life easier for my teammates. It forces me to be more organized. I have to do more pre-planning so I'm not forcing artists to revise their work 20 times, and so the implementation engineer only has to implement once with a few exceptions, and can easily swap out placeholder assets when those come in. Thinking ahead like this is a really good habit to get into in general! Even as a solo dev if I learn to make my own life easier in this way I will save myself the headache.

Will I learn that lesson? Most definitely not. But hopefully I'll take something away from this. For example, the awesome beautiful spreadsheet I made to format my scripts for implementation:

(I'm still not the easiest person to work with, though. I'm kind of bossy. While I do try to at least not be every artist's worst nightmare, it's definitely in everyone's best interest that my big major long-term project is a solo work.)

I'm excited to see how it all comes together in the very end. I'm excited to see what people think of it. Where, on the spectrum of "too obvious" to "moon logic," am I landing on average? Just how weird is the pacing of reveals? These are questions that a non-game-jam game would be able to answer in a playtesting/beta phase, but this is a game jam game, so you get what you get. Making it has been really fun. Look forward to it when it comes out! It will be posted by S1xplus, our implementation engineer. It should end up on my itch page as well.

I wanted to ask, since you read a lot of erotica and romance, do you have any recs for people interested in plot-heavy erotica? Thanks in advance!

I know how difficult and frustrating it is to see erotica (especially popular erotica!) that's got plotting somewhere between "shoestring" and "incoherent." In fact, there's a couple of semi-popular erotica authors that I gave up trying to read because they basically can ONLY write sex scenes and everything else is an incoherent mess. If feels as though you can really only write a lot of sex OR a lot of plot.

I'm still not getting as much plot as I'd like most of the time, but stuff that has helped me get a FEW tolerable books is:

I, pretty much universally, don't read books under 250 pages. I'm sure there's a lot of pretty good erotica for my ereader that doesn't meet that page count, but I suspect plotting it not its strong point.

Scifi/post apocalyptic/fantasy/paranormal is almost certainly going to have more plot and contemporary is almost certainly going to have less. Fortunately, I like those genres pretty well, so that's not really a hardship for me.

Obviously, mind the trigger warnings and all of that since I am useless for that stuff. Everything links to amazon because that's where I'm buying things, unfortunately. I've picked all of these up either for free or for 99 cents, so if you have time to wait you can get them pretty inexpensively.

Beyond Shame - Kit Rocha

Post-apocalyptic/scifi with a political/gang plot, main pairing is MF but there's plenty of other stuff including MMFF. The religious theocracy part of it was a bit of a tough read this year, all things considered, but I really liked it otherwise. When I get my TBR a little more manageable, I intend to read the rest of the series, which goes on sale fairly often.

2. Initiation: Sex Wizards 1

Fantasy with mostly M/M and M/F but there's a lot of other stuff, too. I don't know that it has quite enough plot to make it onto the list, but I feel like there's enough worldbuilding to make up for it, hopefully.

3. The Rose Contract - Scottie Kaye

Fantasy political thriller with primarily M/F. This one maybe just sneaks onto the list as I'm not quite sure it has enough actual sex scenes to count in my mind, but it's billed as an erotica. These are also shorter than I normally read. I've read the first three books and do intend to read the others at some point.

Dark Deception by Sarah Piper

Paranormal vampire romance with substantially more sex than your average vampire romance and substantially more discussions of art history. Main pairing is MF. I bought the next book in the series.

I also have to recommend Emma Holly again for this, which is a copout as I have already recommended Emma Holly to you, but one of the most universal complaints that she got about Strange Attractions and the Hidden series both (both of which I've read and liked) is that she's got so many B and C plots in them that don't pay off because of the length of the book. Strange Attraction's entire haunting/hallucination subplot is pretty notorious for this.

I have a wishlist on amazon that's mostly 'porn with a decent plot' recs that I am desperately watching for sales, and I mostly got the recommendations from this thread, so I am hoping to have read a lot more porn with plot in the next eight months or so, but who knows. My TBR of dead tree books is about 50 books and on my ereader is about 250, so we'll see how fast I get to much of anything.

I debated sitting on this ask for another few days and thinking a little harder, but I didn't want you to think I'd forgotten about you.

The holidays are coming. Could you bring two disabled ladies some cheer?

I live in supportive housing,* in an ordinary apartment in a normal building in Brooklyn, due to cPTSD*, physical disabilities, illnesses, anxiety disorder. Most of my SSI* income pays for my housing. I have SNAP,* but nothing else.

During COVID lockdown, the second bedroom was vacant for two years. It was miserable lonely! 😢 Last month, a young woman who also has remarkably (sadly) similar disabilities moved it. ❤️ Miraculously, we get along great! However, she had just the clothes on her back (not even winter clothes!) and not much else. Her SSI is still pending, so she has no income to speak of. Neither of us have family. I asked friends for clothes donations and gave her some of my winter gear.

🫶We are grateful for what we have, but the reality is that we are living beneath the poverty line. We have to pay for laundry, transportation, cleaning supplies, toiletries. We do not receive any handouts. 💸 Most charities cut back on that after giving their all for COVID victims. 😔

What I would like, for both of us, is to have a lovely holiday. We can put together good meals; we will handcraft gifts for each other.🧶 But we cannot participate in holiday shopping, concerts, and other 🔔local traditions due to poverty & our disorders. We cannot travel to visit friends. We do not have cable/streaming services or a way to play music.🎵We do not have a tree. 🎄

The popular attitude of “this holiday is for us, but NOT for you” “be grateful you are not on the street” is elitist, smothering, depressing, hurtful. We are already dealing with the huge pain of traumas and neglect; we do not deserve this. No disabled person does. The sadness makes all our issues worse.

My roommate doesn’t know yet: I have put together a registry with lots of small items — we don’t need all, I just wanted there to be lots of choices! —for little treats that would make our season festive. Everything under $20, most around $5. If there are two items, it is to reflect our differing tastes.

I do really like the idea of some kind of Edvin, Omar, Kit and Joe content though, both because I think it would be fun and I'd enjoy it greatly (and I'll never say no to more Edvin content) but also because it would be great promo for YR, getting more of that big HS fanbase into YR

every exclusive character in Speed Battle and vice versa - kind of a no brainer there, just kinda have everyone that’s in Speed Battle only get in Dash. But only the single player. So yo give us Lamorak and Galahad too, round out the collection, would give Jet and Silver more alts, would be cool, you know, the usual stuff.

Emerl and Gemerl - putting 2 for one here because would just be reskins anyway, but fuck it why not, right? More cool robot characters. I could maybe pass on Emerl since canonically dead but tbf for a mobile game without a story that shouldn’t really matter, but either way there’s no excuse for Gemerl give my man a chance.

Classic Tails, Knuckles and Amy - Classic Sonic is in these games but these other characters despite having been featured in recent classic media are not. Add them, like, fuck it right?

Mighty and Ray - and while we’re on the classic train these dudes came back and got in Mania yo! And if they’re stuck to be considered classic characters only then whatever I’ll cope but yo throw them in the funny mobile game.

Fang, Bean and Bark - same as above actually, though with less emphasis because they didn’t get to be playable in Mania and also I do not like them as much.

Marine - tons of people want this dead character to return and I say fuck it why not, a harmless mobile game appearance could be fun.

Sticks - seems to have been adopted into modern canon anyway with the reference in Frontiers plus recent Sonic Channel artwork and stuff so hey put her in Dash, give her more time in the limelight.

every Boom variant of the rest of the cast - I’d be less bothered to get this than Sticks since she’s actually a new character but still would be fun, make Dash and Speed Battle even more kinda comprehensive in their collection of characters from across the franchise.

at least Riders Sonic - see I was playing Jet in Dash for the hell of it because I just pick whoever and I thought “god extreme gear is cool” and it made me think “huh they could put Riders Sonic in this game as a variant and give him his board and stuff” and actually that’s what inspired this entire post lol. It’s “at least” because if you’re gonna do Riders Sonic you may as well do Riders Tails and Knuckles and Shadow and Amy and so on and so on

Zik, Zomom and Zor - yeah I don’t really like the Deadly Six but the other 3 are in Speed Battle and in this hypothetical world get into Dash so you know, may as well actually complete the Six part of the Deadly Six.

Surge and Kit maybe? - I’m less sure about this one because frankly I don’t really like either of these characters that much but yk, Tangle and Whisper already made it so IDW precedent is there, and Surge especially people do seem to like a lot. Could just throw them in and it would be neat like yeah.

Movie Shadow and Movie Super Shadow - like honestly if there’s anyone on this list that I fully expect will make it into the game it’s these, but it’ll have to wait until movie 3 actually comes out so like lol. But hey just mentioning them ahead of time because then I get to claim I predicted it and everyone will call me badass and a gamer.

the Chao lmao - I think it’d be funny if you could play as Chao in Sonic Dash lol. Just do like Cheese and a Hero Chao and a Dark Chao and maybe the three Chaos Chao variants, are we pushing this out of the realm of possibility yet?

some more robotic Sonics - Neo Metal Sonic because fuck it it’s an alternate form he has that why not have in a silly mobile game. Mecha Sonic and Mecha Sonic mk.II (aka Silver Sonic and Mecha Sonic lmao) both appeared in Lego Dimensions and then respectively appeared in some toyline and the IDW comics respectively so like sure SEGA haven’t forgotten they exist. So put them in Sonic Dash for the fun of it!!!!!!!!

okay yeah I think that’s all I’ve got right now. List definitely got a bit sillier and me less passionate about some of the characters as we got further down but idk I think this could be neat. That’s it end post.

4. Christmas Wishlist

Luna picked up a silver glitter pen from the cup of pencils she had on top of her drawer. It had been a wek since they had arrived back to Cancun and she did miss her friends she had made in the past year, and she really missed Roller, but nothing could keep her from being excited for Christmas. Now it was time for one of her favorite holiday traditions. 

IT WAS TIME FOR HER WISH LIST! Luna was terrible at art, but she still had, since she had been a kid, written all that she wanted for Christmas on paper with her special glitter pen and decorated the whole list, before giving it to her parents. She never expected to get everything she wished for, but Luna always loved what her parents got for her. 

As she wrote the last thing to the list, she suddenly remembered that she would need to figure out a way to ship gifts to Simon and Nina, back to Buenos Aires. She had gone to Cancun’s huge merchants' market a couple of days ago and had gotten Simon a new guitar pick and a new beanie. For Nina, she had found this beautiful hand-woven notebook. 

Luna opened her phone and was about a google how you’d ship things from Mexico to Argentina when a text from Matteo popped up. Luna smiled at it as she read it. She quickly added one last thing to her wish list. 

Suddenly her phone rang. 

“Hi!!!” Luna answered Nina’s facetime call enthusiastically.

“Hi Luna! How is it going there?”

“Fine,” Luna answered, “We're back here at the Cancun mansion, but I miss Roller already. Excited about Christmas, I just finished my wish list, but I am sad that we can’t spend it together.”

“Christmas with Ambar…” Nina furrowed her brow, “I can only imagine.”

“We’re not spending it together per say…” Luna rolled her eyes, “Mom cooks them the dinner and stuff, but then we’ll celebrate together just the three of us. How are you spending Christmas?”

“You don’t wanna know,” Nina sighed, “Morning is with Dad, and evening with Mom. They fight about it every year.”

“But now you have a new thing to focus on,” Luna smiled mischievously, “A boyfriend.”

“Yes,” Nina laughed, “but we can’t spend Christmas together, even if we want to. Mom is not letting me, since apparently “family traditions are more important”, but in my family that means arguing, so I’d rather skip it. But actually… I am actually meeting Gastón parents, on Friday.”

“Nina, that is exciting!” Luna jumped up from her bed and almost dropped her phone.

“Yes, it really is,” Nina smiled, “I mean, I am his girlfriend. I still can’t believe it.”

“Sounds like a Christmas wish come true,” Luna continued excitedly.

“Yeah, I am so happy, but also scared.” Nina shook her head, “I don’t know why I never realized his mother was Isla Perida.”

“Who?” Luna asked confused.

“She is the most well-known real estate agent in Buenos Aires,” Nina explained. “She deals in all kinds of expensive houses, just like the one you live in.”

“Wow, well that sounds nice.”

“Well, anyways, enough about that. You said you were writing your wishlist, wanna tell me whats on there?” Nina asked, “I already sent you your present. Hopefully, it will make it there in time.”

“Sure!” Luna said picking up her wish list. “So, I asked for this skate customizing kit, that I saw on this website. It has all kinds of beads and paints on there, so I can make my skates whatever I want.”

“Are you going to change your skates?” Nina asked.

“Nooo, not yet,” Luna laughed, “But I might want to customize them a little bit, and they won’t last forever. Then I can make my new skates myself. Maybe they could be yellow.”

“Okay, what else?”

“Oh right, back to the wish list.” Luna jumped back down on her bed, “Then I asked for a couple of new Mexican necklaces, a new pillow for my room, this shirt I saw… it was so cool you should gave seen it. It read: “I am limited edition”. So cool, right?”

“I don’t think that is grammatically correct.”

“Anyways… then I asked for some colored markers, new socks, and a banjo.”

“Luna why do you want a banjo?” Nina asked with a bit of concern in her voice.

“Because it looks so fun when people play it.”

“But do you know how to play it?”

“Well it can’t be that hard, it looks like a guitar.” Luja shrugged, “And Matteo knows how to play that, so It seriously can’t be that hard.”

“I don’t think you play banjo exactly the same way as a guitar,” Nina was still looking skeptical. “But if that is what you wished for, I hope you get it.”

“Oh, and the last thing on my list was that Matteo comes back from Italy.”

Games I currently "own" digitally Part 3

So this is GoG... mostly "old" games that either I or my Dad have been playing when I was a child. My Dad actually had that one "Leisure sweet Larry Game that I actually finished" and I wanted it again so badly that I bought the bundle set even tho I do not like to play any of his other games ^^' (As you can see on Steam I did buy his newer game but it is just... not my game. Playing it - as most of the games here - is really just for nostalgia...)

Do not ask about "Hunnie Pop" I do not know what I was thinking ^^'

My Dad played "Biing" when I was a child and sometimes I played it too because I didn't understand why the woman were having big brests and always naked at all anyway... and I rebought it because I sucked at the game so much back then and I was sure THIS TIME I will get it - spoiler: I did not! XD

BTW in my eyes, Sim City 3000 was the best Sim City.

Anyway: This is my EA-Account:

It looks like I only own Sims 4 the original game but I own A LOT of Addons and Kits and Game-Play-Packs or however all this stuff is called these days. 59 to be exact XD I also owned ALL of them back in the day for Sims 1, 2 and 3.

What you also need to know: This is not the real "Need for Speed most wanted" the original was unmatched and so I never actually played whatever this game is, even tho I bought it ^^'

I also like to mention that I managed to finish "Dead in Bermuda" in one go without anyone dying by pure utter accident XD

I WILL get "Metaphor" soon one way or another because a lot of people like that game and its getting harder to avoid Spoiler at this point and I kind of want to play it blind. I am waiting for the next big sale at the end of November tho and hope it might maybe a little bit on sale by then ^^'

I also would like to get all 3 Kingdom Hearts Games in that Sale but my Budget is small and Square Enix does not like to give huge sales to their big titles no matter how old they are ^^'

"Coral Island" is supposed to get a "Wohoo" - Update so I probably should get it eventually at some point ^^' But I am not in a rush. There can only be so much Farming Games on my list of games still to play or to finish.

I REALLY should play "NEO TWEWY" at some point but I want to play the original here first and its so hard to do. Because the Final Remix Version is only out on Switch and I do have it there and I should play it there because the controls on the Emulator (that is not there anymore anyway...) just suck but how to make and post screenshots now that it can not even access Twitter anymore? It would be such a shore to get the screenshots to my computer or at least phone... but I feel like do to its mechanics hoping for the game ever to come out on PC is pointless.

I was looking forward to "Reynatis" but I've heard it turned out to be really bad... so I guess it can wait.

Fun Fact: I loved "Black and White" and I was hoping they would bring it out on EA-Store or Steam or even GoG but they never did so I was looking forward to Fata Deum but they are very silent there and just postponed the release to next year so I am not sure if it will ever really come out...

Not high on my list. I am not in a rush to play the Ys Games but I think I will one day.

"Romance SaGa 2"? I never played 1 to begin with, but I thought that SOME DAY I might try this one out at least. But once again, I am not in a rush here.

So... that was the list of the games I am currently owning and/or wishing for. If Steam still exists by then, we do that again in 10 years. ALSO let's see how many more Sims4-Addons I have added by then XD

And then we will also check out how many of the games I still needed to play or finish I REALLY did end up playing and finishing ^^'

When I was a kid I would dig around in the mud next to our pond and collect sticks and weave grass and pick tiny flowers and make little pots for them and then I would build fairy villages with my spoils. Sometimes I'd sneak matches out of the house and put them up for fairies to use as torches.

Sometimes I'd wake up at midnight to bake tiny chocolate cakes in plastic bottle caps in the microwave to put in my fairy villages for the fairies. I'd pick the really big mushrooms and smaller ones and make tables and chairs for the fairies. I figured out how to make stairs and sturdy walls out of mud and sticks and I'd steal my mom's sewing thread and wool to make fences and bridges.

I'd make swimming pools and beds with feathers for mattresses. The cattle we kept in the field trampled my villages when they went to drink from the pond so every Saturday I'd be back out in the field building fairy villages, and every Friday night I'd use my "spy training" to pilfer stuff to make them.

Now the closest I get to making fairy villages is just regular old gardening. I've realized that sometimes all I need is to get my hands in the dirt, cake mud under my nails and put things in the ground.

I still plan to create a fairy garden one day when I have my own yard and can build my own garden. I still save every robotime miniature dollhouse kit I find to my wishlist so I can build them, mostly because I don't yet know where to find raw materials and I don't have time to make original designs.

I haven't bought one yet because I'm saving to have a good deposit to put down for a house, but when I feel more secure and have more time for things I enjoy you best believe I'm buying one every month to put together and customizing them and making YouTube videos that no one will watch simply because it's written into my very bones to document everything I come across.

It's the reason I became a journalist in the first place. Why I enjoy drawing and painting and photography and writing in every form but poetry.

Sensory needs include getting your hands in the dirt to ground yourself, the same way it included building fairy houses as a kid. Take care of yourself because you'll be surprised how much meeting sensory needs actually helps with your every day functioning. Feel like you need to throw something? Go take a knife throwing class. Or just go into your yard and throw moderately heavy rocks at a tree. Don't throw too hard you don't want to chip off the bark.

Need to rip something to shreds? Rip a paper into as many pieces as you can, as small as you can. Use paper from the recycling. Save the flakes to make slurry to make homemade paper.

Need to be upside down or spinning? Get yourself a swing and really high monkey bars and spin or hang away. Listen to your sensory needs, both what needs to go away and what you need more of. I promise you I've avoided meltdowns simply by swinging for a good 30 minutes until I felt a little sick. Sometimes you just need to listen to monkey brain to make autism brain shut up about the invisible bugs on your arms.

i dont know what autistic person needs to hear this but your sensory wellness is so important. and that goes beyond just avoiding things that trigger immediate distress. sensory enrichment is vital too! do things that make you feel safe and comforted and happy and alive. it's not insignificant. it's not silly. it's part of taking care of your lovely autistic self and enjoying life. your life, which thrives when your wants and needs are met.

On Monday I bought 2 new DLC Kits, the First Fits Kit and the Incheon Arrivals Kit;

I put them on my Wishlist for a while, debating if I should...

"Should I?" turned into "I did" really quickly 😅

You'll notice in my Hitsu Household v4 post that I already posted the Hitsu fam wearing some of these outfits. I couldn't wait to update their wardrobe 😄

After buying these DLCs, my friend asked if I could show her some of the outfits that came with it and just basically me playing around in CAS. Of course! I'll show some here, but I won't spam this post like I did Discord 🙃

👆🏻 This outfit here is probably the #1 reason I bought the Incheon Kit and I didn't even put any of my sims in it. It doesn't canonically fit Hitsu's character, and as a family we wear "Snowboard attire" for our Cold Weather outfits (though I actually swapped them to something a little more formal this time). This is still "too light" for snow. I loooooove it though 😭

I also didn't give it to Mari for her "Everyday attire" because I gave her something else more fitting to her character. She's my OC from FFXIV (Red Mage main) and there's quite literally an under-shirt with a Shawl-type Robe-looking outfit that fits her perfectly. Looks to be from Realm of Magic DLC. And there's matching earrings!

It's not (new) from the DLCs I just got, but it's new in the sense that I hadn't noticed it until now.

Now we come back to Hitsu and this...

My first comment was: "Wooly Mammoth" 🤣

I'm sorry, I have this tendency to mock or tease the men I love when I dress them 😂🤣

I didn't really change Mari or Hitsu's shoes into the new ones. They were nice, don't get me wrong, but they didn't match any of their outfits 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am hoping and planning to use a lot of these Incheon outfits for Takashi when he eventually reaches the age to use them.

Next we move onto Takashi and his new clothes!

The nice thing about getting new DLCs is that when you go into CAS the next time, the new apparel appears at the top of the list with stars next to it- showing you "Hey! These are new things!" So, immediately I was able to see the new stuff Takashi had waiting for him. But then just as annoyingly, the moment I clicked away from something they all dropped to their respective spot in the list and I was like "Hey?!!? Where'd you go?!!?" 😶

He has so many cute things. I was super spamming Discord at this point. I also found a gripe that I was kind of complaining about too.

It's right here, allow me to repeat my complaint:

OOC: /rant Someone explain to me WHY would I put my CHILD in a towel for everyday clothes??? Only a towel. Whoever deemed this acceptable is a sick person. 😠💢 /endrant

There's one (or more?) bomber jackets that are super cute, that come with the base game as well. Was heavily considering giving Takashi one of those but the Camo jacket won out in the end. He's been targeted by bullies way too many times 😓. He needs all the extra strategic defenses he can get.

A Heavenly Kyuubi Christmas

Dairy of Kim Kashikoi 25/12/20XX Christmas Day has been going great as the whole family is here. Well aside from Uzume who were out to help the hospital to help patients who couldn't make it home to their families (if she was here, she would certainly tell me to not feast on the Christmas food, even though some others eats more than me), Tsukoyomi who's still missing with a crew on a space mission and presumed dead. Thunder-01 is celebrating with us but he's too big to fit inside. I was surprised that Amaterasu wanted to come and visit despite not liking Inari. I know that it's not easy losing a family member but I wish that she would stop blaming Inari like that. Yokozuma agreed to be Santa this year and while we expected Drimo to be excited to see Santa we didn't think that Craw would try to get Santa's bag before everyone else, but he has to wait his turn for the presents. I guess this was what my parents felt every time I tried to open my presents early as a child. Battler is setting the mood with some Christmas music with a synthesizer, though considering him and Kiroo we might expect some boopy reggae jams. (I do quite enjoy that as well even if it doesn't fit Christmas) Radoise is a good child as always and gets the honour to put the star on the tree every year, but even though there has been no accidents I still think they should be careful with their rocket legs, Dawol who chills with hot cocoa would not like it if the tree burned. I'm thankful that Kit is able to visit and have fun with the family, which Shokom appreciates since she has worried about him being unable to talk to the girl he likes. Jedol is well, he's Jedol and always seek to be the center of attention and is the only one who noticed that I was taking pictures of everyone.
