This is super interesting considering how Taylor uses yellow and lavender and where yellow and lavender are relative to each other on the color wheel. Yellow (daylight/summer/freedom/not hiding 💛☀️🌼) and lavender (night/winter/magic/lavender haze/smoke and mirrors/smokescreen/bearding/red herrings) are opposite colors on the color wheel, and we are currently getting a lot of hints that we are in the “cracking up/split in the narrative” part of the story rn. It seems she’s gonna keep boiling the frog and widening the crack until it becomes a giant chasm

The amount of leftists who can't tell the difference between

"You should recycle, but it's not going to stop impeding climate doom"

and

"You shouldn't recycle because it's not your fault the planet is imploding"

is baffling. Like, you're allowed to be mad about greenwashing while still trying to live as sustainably as possible. Buying glassware instead of plasticware isn't gonna stop the planet from falling apart, but it's certainly better than saying "ah fuck it" and supporting the production and landfilling of plastic waste. Even if it's just by a tiny, individual's amount, it's still better than doing nothing. This "all or nothing" mentality that these people claim is tearing apart American politics is quite literally at the heart of their entire belief system.

Andrew watched in annoyance as people perked up regardless, “the following teams have qualified to represent the southeastern district in the spring championship games. I will list them in order of ranking, first to fourth: Edgar Allan, Palmetto State, Breckenridge, Belmonte.” 

It’s all so pretentious and Andrew can’t help but note that Tetsuji had given the exact same speech the year before with the only difference being the three teams after Edgar Allan. “Can’t even think up a new speech every year.” he rolls his eyes.

“Yeah, it did sound familiar,” one of the hornets agreed from across the table.
