Hot take ig but kids in high school shouldn't have to work either. They should be spending their evenings doing homework and extra-curriculars and fucking around.

There definitely shouldn't be entire industries reliant on their low-wage labor. Why are there many kids being scheduled for a 6 hour shift after a 7 hour school day when they've got learning and their future and their childhood to worry about?

Any industry built on poverty wage child labor should perish, and that's most fast food and grocery and retail so I guess the economy's tanked 🤷. Should've thought about that before deciding to make the essential work into jobs for children and the underclass.

Like talking about how a holofilm they remember going out to see was made before he was born, or he thinks they’re talking about a remake they didn’t even know existed. Or talking about video games and the High Guard not realizing how far the technology advanced, and so what they considered cutting edge mechanics is archaic to him. Or how their lingo or whatever you call it is painfully outdated and they have no clue what he’s even saying when he uses his. He’s defeating everyone here with the power of being from the youngest generation

Okay so after a very long consultation with my accountant, it turns out that I'm not stupid or hyperbolic. The system in greece is actually extremely hostile to people trying to work. Want to be a freelancer or run a business? There's such crazy tax, so many conflicting and confusing regulations, so many restrictions that it's almost impossible. Oh you're an artist? You're hugely fucked. You know how in other countries you can do both freelance commissions, and also sell like, keychains and prints and have a patreon and make money off YouTube and also maybe do a gallery show if you're lucky? You literally cannot do this here legally, unless for every different thing you want to do, you go apply for it, charge the correct tax, change your type of work etc. of course nobody really checks those things so most people do them anyway, but if you're trying to be safe and fully legal it's basically impossible.

if you want to sell anything physical, you need to have a "base", a physical location that is NOT your house to do so. It's ??,. You cannot be a craftsman from your house and make a living this way. You can only offer services from your house. The tax for selling physical goods is also a whole other can of worms.

Also just the tax percentage and what you have to pay regardless of income is basically designed to make sure you cannot live off of working for yourself unless you have some insane profit.

I mean, it's possible, sure, but it's so confusing and convoluted and difficult to make ends meet if you're trying to be as legal as possible.

Here’s some photos from today’s protest in Salem, Oregon! I was so honored to be able to be a part of this with my kids! We had an awesome time and are def gonna be doing more of these as the next 4 years go by…

Cars honked in support for hours! The protest went from noon to 4pm. No matter what the weather! We blasted music in our car as we drove our way around the blocks during the last half hour, honking along with everyone, cheering on the crowds. It was absolutely amazing to meet so many incredible people from ALL walks of life, all coming together in unity shouting, “Dump Trump”, “Stop the Coup”, and “Arrest the Felon”!

There were even groups of Christians and Catholics holding up passages from the Bible that said things like, “God loves all His children” and “God does NOT discriminate”! It was fuckin’ beautiful and so uplifting!

I’m so grateful to everyone for showing up and speaking out against the racism, fascism, discrimination, bigotry, sexism, deportation, and all out HATE that Chump and his bullshit agenda have been attempting to flood throughout our nation. Thank you to everyone who supported us and joined in the fight today! There will be many more protests to come, but we will be there as often as possible! Stand up, speak out, and stay safe! 💙🩵💙🩵💙
