There's this really cool thing that a handful of diaspora Palestinians have committed a lot of time and effort to called vetting (maybe you've heard of it?) in which they speak directly with a fundraiser holder face-to-face or over phone/video call to verify all portions of a fundraiser. There are so many posts [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] that talk about the details of this process to verify that a fundraiser organizer, recipient, and the details are correct by verifying legal documents like proof of residence, photo ID, fluency in Palestinian-Dialect Arabic, family tree constructions, etc.

These vetters have been posting about Palestinian/Gaza/Arab culture/Islam/etc. for a really long time, [1] [2] [3] (these are Wayback machine links to the tumblr accounts of 90-ghost, el-shab-hussein, & nabulsi before you start crying "but, you can post backdate on tumblr!") [4] (moayesh's Instagram because his tumblr is fairly new) meaning that they didn't just pop up after Oct 2023 to start posing as a qualified individual. They are real diaspora Palestinians with stories to tell and culture to share.

GFM also has strict requirements for withdrawing money, needing evidence of a bank account from a country they service and a solid way to transfer funds from that bank account to the recipient's bank account. If the funds are withheld from the intended recipient, that can be reported to and resolved by GFM.

If you're too overwhelmed by trying to distinguish between scams and real fundraisers, then whatever. That's your problem, not everyone else's. You don't need to publicly announce to everyone that you're too busy/tired/incompetent/ignorant to properly investigate fundraisers, so everyone else should stop supporting them as well. There are plenty of vetters and scam-busting blogs dedicated to helping people distinguish between real and fake.

Donating to established nonprofit aid organizations is absolutely a good deed and is much more straightforward, but it's not the only way to help. Especially with the repeated aid blockages, sometimes Ghazan families need a more direct flow of money to pay for the ridiculously inflated cost necessities (I recently received a video from Farah wherein she states that a bottle of dish soap cost $50. $50!!!!) as well as save up for evacuation costs once the Egyptian border crossing opens. (Thousands of dollars!)

Rent alone is 1/10 of their campaign goal and the family is struggling to afford it.

On Aug 30, we helped pay off yet another month of rent so they wouldn't get evicted!

Donations are sparse and amount to around $100 USD daily. At this rate, the Haboub family will not be able to evacuate.

Their campaign goal is reasonable: roughly $29k USD to evacuate 4 adults.

okay okay some people really really need to hear that when you're describing an image you're trying to get to the point of the image, not add as much detail as possible.

Case A (a real description), I want you to guess at what this is:

Making another commissions post since things have been getting worse as the month goes on. For those who are just coming across this, my name is Link and I'm a 22 y/o homeless artist. My family and I (father and younger sibling) have been in this situation for about three years now since November 2021 and I've been doing commissions to support us until something changes. We don't have anywhere to go or anyone to really turn to financially or housing wise, so we've been on our own since then. My father has managed to get his ID but with no transportation and jobs being too far out, it's made job hunting more difficult and we've yet to find anything.

This month has been one of the toughest with us owing 100$+ due to not being able to pay the daily rent. We do get extensions here but they're hard to keep up with when they double so quickly and work is becoming more hard to come by, and bumping posts on my other socials hasn't done much for us. Sadly, tonight isn't any different. We owe 190$ for tonight and for the last three days, we've been unable to get anything for it. If we can't pay tonight then we will be forced to leave, and I'm not sure what we'll do if we can't cover it.

B's Bowlarama Renovation

Here is a renovation of the B's Bowlarama in University. I'm currently thinking about renovating the whole world because i absolutely ADORE AND LOVE the sims 3 university expansion pack. i know one thing that helps is having concise key msgs to debunk wild BS. there are already detailed sources made by fans—KUDOS TO THESE SOLDIERS—but we also can hv a concise go-to ‘kit’ with maybe like 3 key points that’s easy to digest because not everyone reads a whole text (like u probably skipped this, lol).

So..what hapened ?(In regards to the ''drama'')

Hey Pine here. So im sure the SFW vore community has been made aware of ''drama'' that was caused by me and another user nammed Static.I want to ask for the community to at least spread this post around and not label it drama.PLEASE DONT SWEEP THIS UNDER THE RUG AND READ THE CONTENTS OF THIS POST! THIS POST WILL INCLUDE /MENTION THE FOLLOWING: Mentions of the genocide in palestine, antisemitism, national socialism (aka nazism), false alligations, harrasment, threats of doxing, potential ACTUAL doxing, manipulation , mentions of self harm (including suicide),a bit of misgendering among a few others. So who are the players? This whole thing sorrounds 3 main people ; me (pine) , Static (Aka staticmoonshock) and Zet (OpikArts).

Edit as of august: Static was 15 but mid july tutned 16.As far as ive grasped things. I need to clarify as of Febuary 18th im 16 years old. Static is someone who was frequent in the SFW vore community and were best known for sending people asks usually accompanied with their OC's and wanting people to engage with them.They would usually find someone and then proceed to almost spam that person with asks (in an rp fashion sometimes) Zet or OpikArts is someone id say is a very well known figure in the SFW vore community that I dont believe needs much introduction. And them me aka 1#dumbass. Static here told me to tell them if they were overwhelming. And it was a mistake on my end for not saying it sooner.

So Static has known me for more then 2 months. I need people to be aware of that. We had friendly convos on and off and they ;after a period of time- gave me some not so pleasent thoughts. What I mean is Static had behaviours comparable to my abuser. My abuser would vent with no warning, would not put triggers, would talk about his personal life and tell me triggering things and would also mention harming himself. (in 1 instance he sent elf harm scars he inflected on himself so i could send them to his ex partner in an attempt of guilt tripping them). I am all for mental health awearness, and venting but NEVR vent to someone without any warning because you have no idea wtf they are going threw. I was a child therapist at 11 years old to a 15 year old dude and was till he was halfway threw being 20. I know this is HEAVILY personal from my end but I need people to be aware of this notion to better understand WHY i didint like talking to this person and WHY I should have cut them off when I initally started talking to them, After them yet again telling me personal details i asked them this (i have censored their messege as it had personal details regarding their life and i do not want people weaponising this against them or revealing private stuff regarding their life.)

And I still stand by the fact if you CAN and are PRIVALEGED enough to boycott you should . Thats not the point of this however it was just context. Static (from what i believe) saw this and on their side blog said how they wished so much pressure wasnt put on my minors to boycott. As well as the main problem regarding everything that being how much antisemitism they were seeing. THIS is where my BIGGEST issue lied with Static. I am ALL for critisizing people who associate jews with israelis and then use that as an excuse to be antisemetic. THAT IS NOT ''OKAY'' THAT IS BLATANT ANTISEMITISM AND YOU ARE DOING HARM TO INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO PROBABLY DONT EVEN AGREE WITH THE THINGS HAPPENING.But Static THEMSELVES for this whole time had the notion that Israel= jews/judism and that if you hated Israel you hated its citizens therefor you hated Jews. The reason MOBIZEN is visible is because later down the line Zet suggested I recorded mine and Statics whole Tumblr chat (may 29th) and I cant remove the audio to the recordings so I cannot link the videos due to my voice being on those recordgins, my fathers voice and my own cries and sobs as I was suffering a full on meltdown.WE WILL GET INTO THAT.HOWEVER AS PROOF OF THE VIDEOS EXISTENCE :

For the majority of may 29th i was going threw hell. And I was on a school trip for the 30th and 31st.

Now here is who Zet/opikarts is in all this. Zet is a polish dude who has a deep rooted hatred for nazis (as most normal people do but him especially) Zet came into play because him and Static were in contact for a simmilar time me and Static were in contact. They first started talking on the 7th of March.During this period the 2 became friends. I was aware of this as Static mentioned it to me beforehand while we were on good terms. Upon me wanting to cut ties and them blocking me- Static told Zet I was an aspiring neo nazi, that i was manipulative , that I hated jews, that I was aantisemetic ect ect ect. They had simmilar behaviours towards Opic as they did to me and they talked about wanting to harm themselves and vented to him about me and all this. They never showed proof for any of this mind you and had Zet blindly believe them and encorouged them to not talk to me about it- effectively making it so he would not only believe them but never question anything. Static also said it would make them feel better if he blocked me, he only unfollowed me and made me unfollow him. Zet liked every single one of Statics posts that they made in response to this situationa as HE believed he was helping a friend fight of a neo-nazi/nazi , this included the post that wished death upon me (he didint read it threw all the way or properly the first time and he didint agree with what Static said after the fact. I blocked Zet in a fit of panic and anger and then a moot and a friend od mine – Koko aka Koko puffs love informed me that Zet wanted to talk with me to clear stuff up. They were either lying and PURPOSEFULLY misgendering me to further dehumanise me ,mock me ect or they literally never read my bio or my BYI EVER .Neither is really cool. I did this along with providing numerous screenshots and after the  fact. And then Zet saw Static lied to him ,overexagarated shit ect ect. And now we are on very good terms. The reason I make this post is because people either swept this under the rug ,encorouged it to be done and spread the info this was an argument. It was in fact someone who clearly isnt in the best headspace actively harrasing someone who wanted to cut ties with them, lying about said person (me) to their friend (Zet) and then after all this. Static deleted most of the posts regarding this situation. (i mention this in the post that started the whole ''this is only drama'' mess.)

I sincerely hope this is spread around the community and that this being a drama is no longer the thought behind this situation. People got hurt for no reason because someone couldnt take people not wanting to be their friend. Upon my post ''Regarding recent events'' Static made a now deleted post saying that they forgave me when they probably shouldnt and they would let me talk with them about the genocide (fyi they rebloged posts and shit saying how this wasnt agenocide) and I did not get 1 apology. I have made multiple to Static, multiple. I have not recieved  1 single ''sorry'' about the death wish, the dox threats, the insults, the nazi labeling I hav recieved NOTHING. I put all this fourth so people can understand WHY I acted the way I DID, WHY this thing happened AND WHY it was handled so poorly on my end. Yeah May 29th was WORSE then the WORST EXPIRENCES I HAVE  E V E R  had with my ABUSER. Zet and I are thankfully on good terms now and I dont blame him for being manipulated it wasnt his fault. Not really an update however just to say a few things. I have no idea how Static is now or if they have gotten better and im no longer engaging with them period. So below is only what i know.

-Static threatened to take legal action against me via contacting a friend and their friend , later deleting a post alluding to contacting a lawyer

-allegedly tried to take their life twice.Once by taking almost 30 zoloft pills with a 100mg dose which should have killed them but they only said they were like idk loopy?May have taken less then in the picture they provided

-they DID give me an apology , a bad one and one i wont accept, but an apology nonetheless

-said i showed private stuff but later said they couldnt see any of my post as i have them blocked maybe that was just poor wording so ill take it with some salt.

ah damn it, he's too gorgeous. there's no way id ever get his atten- "hey!" you lifted your pen up from your notebook that you were just writing in to a familiar voice. you shifted your gaze to the person infront of you to see gale galleon. "o-oh! uuh.. sorry i was uh.. writing ssssomething.. can i help you..?" you stuttered out, making a fool out of yourself. "sorry.. can i uhh borrow a pen?" he nervously laughed. ahh he looked so cute blushing and avoiding your gaze, you didn't notice it unfortunately since you were also avoiding his gaze. you nodded and gave him the pen you were holding. he turns his back to his table to write something, while he was doing that, you could practically feel the hot blush on your face. it felt like your face was about to erupt like a volcano because of how flushed you were! so cute. you had all these thoughts in your head but before you could realize, he turns back to you and slides a piece of folded piece of paper along with your pen on your desk. he gulpd silently and turns back around.

you tilt your head in confusion and open the folded paper and what you saw was something you never could have expected. there on the lined paper, with messy but charming handwriting said "you're really cool, wanna hang out? -gale :)" and two drawn in boxes that said yes or no. you blinked a second time to really process if this is happening. without a thought you drew in a checklist in the yes box and folded it back together. you tap gale's shoulder and handed him the paper. he turns back to open the table and you swore you heard him do a little victory "yes...!" celebration after opening it. he once again turns back to you and says "soooo...movies? weekend?" "aye aye, captain".

"you always had that stupid eyepatch on everyday at school, people called you a pirate and some of the juniors even called you captain galleon!" months later, you were in your shared house with gale, you sat on the couch with his head on your shoulder. firepit crackling accompanied with the cold night air breeze and that post rain smell, what was it called.. ah yes, petrichor.

how i write alt text/image descriptions

these are written descriptions of media attached to posts, for those who may be unable to view them (primarily screen reader users, but this is also helpful for when images arent loading, explaining what is happening in an image, and so on), while fairly dauntin startin out its honestly a fairly simple process! :)

alt text can be added by clicking the meatball menu on attached medias (3 horizontally oriented dots, lower right corner of media in post editor), typically these would be a brief summary of the most important aspects of an image. alt text is embedded in the image.

image descriptions (sometimes shortened to id) are written in plain text like a caption. these may be longer/more detailed than alt text. typically, these are formatted with brackets to indicate when descriptions begin and end (i personally preface with "[Image description:" and close with "End description.]")

typically i focus on these 4 elements:

media type photograph, tweet, art, scoreboard, news headline, etc important for me as someone who posts photos alongside art to specify this difference because i dont want to be responsible for implying my drawings are reality LOL other details about the type of media are helpful if relevant, like quality (poorly drawn, run through with jpg artifacting) or stylization (realistic, monochromatic, minimalist, significant color choices)

text a piece of advice i saw was that you wanna just transcribe all text in an image, this works for stuff like tweets and dialogue but this is a sports oriented blog, sometimes you will come up on text that is just completely incomprehensible to transcribe. a game clock, any score readings? i approach it like reading it out loud and instead structuring the information in sentences (the score is this, in favor of this team. probably the one that isnt the sharks LMAO)

subject usually this means naming players and sharing relevant information about them (are they on opposing teams, is the position they play significant)

action the whats goin on? again, as a sports oriented blog, this tends to look like a brief play by play. goalie makes this save, player dodges around another player. these guys are kissing nasty again. this can also include emotion and tone. this person is angry, this action is particularly noteworthy, this situation is funny.

its kinda like takin notes, i only focus on the important stuff! you dont really gotta the avatar of a user, what ad is on the boards, what color is the background for every single image.

when writing your alt text/image, it helps to keep in mind that these are intended to be read out loud. use punctuation, avoid excessive emojis. if something in the original text does something that affects readability, it helps to just type it in plain text and note what stylization is missing.

because its meant to read out loud, you also gotta order your stuff in what makes the most sense. group things in chronological order, what order the viewers supposed to be seein things in. i tend to write things in order of media -> subject -> action -> text myself!

and when in doubt just copy someone else LMAO of course theres always someone smarter than you out there, check out what other peoplere sayin on how to do it if this isnt doin it for you

Noah and Mila met at Uni; they became best friends and, before they knew it, they were already in love. Right after graduating they decided to move in together; the problem’s that Noah is rethinking their gender. Not long ago, Noah changed their pronouns to they/she, but now they no longer feels like a female. They wanna transition and use he/him pronouns. But Noah doesn’t wanna talk about it with Mila because they're afraid she'll break up with them. How long can Noah keep the “secret”?

Alternate Season 3 ML Ending

I have been musing on an alt Season 3 finale that could catch the same general vibes while also perhaps serving as a culmination of Chloe's redemption arc efforts, Lila's whole 'thing' and while still shaking up the status quo as canons kind of did, here's what I have:

Post Ikari Gozen, there's a minor subplot in Party Crasher of Chloe trying to get in contact with Kagami who assumes its to shout at her about hero stuff. She's half right as at the end of the episode Chloe uses Adrien's mobile to lure Kagami in & says they need to talk, hero to hero.

Post Party Crasher, through The Puppeteer 2, a spin on Cat Blanc (Maybe) and Félix there's little scenes of them meeting to discuss their findings. These relate to feeling like Akuma are around them at night, finding Lila suspicious as fuck cos either Ladybug's bestie is too loose with details or Lila knows way too much and is trying to make Akuma happen.

They agree to keep watch over Marinette. Barring Chloe & Kagami, she seems to be her main target.

The next three episodes all fit together, with Heart Hunter first.

Heart Hunter changes:

Lila cuts the Bee Signal before the Akuma arrives, negs Chloe & then stalks Marinette, Adrien & Kagami.

When Kagami speaks to Ladybug she figures out its Marinette & while hurt at the sabotage date she still shares what she & Chloe think & they both realize today is an ambush.

Not having seen Ryuko, Chloe's not totally given into despair & upon claiming Pollen tries to fight Hawk Moth. She but gets injured reclaiming the Miracle Box & has to be saved by Kagami.

Hawk Moth & Mayura retreat with the tablet and Fu gives up being Guardian due to the strain of the battle nearly killing him.

Chloe's hospitalized as she tried to use Venom more than once. Ryuko is still upset with Marinette, Chat's upset about Chloe, Marinette is upset about Fu & feels incredibly alone.

A terrified Lila assures Hawk Moth she knows 'another' Miraculous Wielder and this one will break, Marinette.

Ladybug

Marinette tries to adjust to having all the Kwami with her & with translating the book.

Chat & other heroes are cycling in and out of Chloe's hospital room where she remains unconscious.

Despite going through a day from hell, Marinette still has to go to school the next day cos she can't even tell her parents what's wrong.

At school only Alya is present (She did her shift) Adrien's visiting Chloe as a civilian and Nino is (Sick) guarding Chloe.

Then everything goes to hell when Lila presents a video of Marinette stealing from her locker. They are sent to the principle.

Alya realizes something is sus.

Marinette 'can' get super jealous and see the worst in people but she isn't a thief. So Alya follows them.

She arrives in time to see Lila reveal an Akumatized appendage that jabs a needle into Marinette & sends her into a nightmare (Basically the rest of the canon episode) then tries to steal her ear rings.

Lila only gets one before Alya tackles the fuck out of her and then Lila starts vomiting up an Akuma that infests Marinette's remain ear ring much to her despair.

"I needed that!"

Cue half transformed, fully Akumatized Ladybug, partialy trapped in a nightmare despair mode going on a rampage.

The Battle of the Miraculous:

Lila flees, carrying Alya & a fading Tikki who explains Lila's being turned into an Akuma, & that they need to call in 'everyone', revealing IDs.

Hawk Moth sends Mayura and a fake Sentimonster Ladybug to get the Miraculous (Having realized Lila was covering for having figured out Ladybug's identity to steal the miraculous for herself) While he takes Marinette towards the hospital to kill Chloe & lure out Chat Noir.

Ryuko, Alya & a partially feral Lila defend the Miraculous Box, with the other heroes showing up to help after Mayura is driven off.

Lila also reveals Hawk Moth's identity, so Chat knows via phone call.

Chloe awakens in time to finish her redemption arc by basically goading Marinette & HK into focusing on her over Chat.

Nino catches Hawk Moth in a bubble shield and Chat has to destroy the ear ring to free Marinette & everyone gangs up on Hawk Moth.

He is un-masked publicly but manages to escape, despite Chloe's murder effort, thanks to unleashing a swarm of Akuma from Lila.

The Akuma are captured and purified before they can do much harm, but the Miraculous Cure is not working properly. The ear rings are only half usable at best. Worse, if they want to avoid Lila becoming a permanent Akuma she needs the remaining one to stay herself.

The heroes get Marinette out of the public eye before her ID can be revealed & she's allowed to have a good fucking cry. Adrien reveals his ID & he probably has a small breakdown too. But everyone resolves to go to the Agreste Manor & end things.

Sadly, Hawk Moth has fled, blowing up the manor and sending an Akumatized Gorrila to collect Adrien. Leaving behind only a weird basement ruin with no sign of his plans.

Epilogue:

Because of this, the Miraculous are divided up with their various users, though some are likely swapped or have other security precautions.

Until Marinette decodes the book & fixes Tikki's Miraculous she is left as Multi-Mouse and with a half functional Miracle Cure courtesy of Lila who 100% cannot fight but is hiding out with their crew anyway.

Hawk Moth is shown repairing the Peacock Miraculous and unveiling his Unification/Rebrand. Though where he is or who is harboring him is still a mystery. His identity may be publicly unknown to protect Adrien who has moved in with his aunt and cousin.

This leaves us with a massively shaken status quo, a full hero team, an empowered but no longer anonymous and much more personal villain, no more school rivals and no more mentors or secret identities among friend or foes.
