There's just something about the way daniel calls armand louis' boyfriend that fills me with joy. No hesitation on the word. No stuttering. No sarcasm. No fiddling around for the right word - parter? Lover? Boytoy? Just... boyfriend. When does your boyfriend come back from lunch? Its a term that could have been demeaning what for all the time louis and armand have spent together if not for the sincerity in the way daniel says it.

I love it on the meta level, i love that this is unapologetically queer media that adequately refers to its queer relationships, but i also think it adds to daniel and louis' openness this episode. Daniel started out the season sarcastically sneering about how armand couldn't be the true love of louis' life; that louis was clearly obsessed with lestat and always would be. But here, they're being open and honest, and even though they're unraveling uncomfortable truths about armand, daniel can acknowledge armand and louis' relationship for what it is. They're boyfriends.

something that peeves me in fiction – in a setting where society that hasn't mostly eliminated scarcity, anyway – is when someone really kindhearted takes in a near stranger in need (e.g. orphan, ex slave) and that person is their only project to whom they can give a lot of care. irl I feel like everyone who's exceptionally nice, or at least bad at drawing a line for their own health, has a full case load and is close to burnout

I don't mind this at all when there's a good plot reason for why X should be helping Y in particular and isn't already overbooked; I feel some ugh when X is depicted as someone who'd always help people in Y's shoes but has mysteriously evaded all other supplicants.

I'm pro-fantasy but this kind of moral fantasy strikes me as a bit uglier than the others: you can be a nurturing figure who gives unconditional help without running something so unphotogenic as a vetting interview or cost/benefit analysis, but you'll never be overwhelmed, either

I made an embroidery with Claudia!!!!

I got really into embroidery last year! Since I realised I can just put anything on my clothes, I can’t be stopped. I have too many ideas now. Definitely need to post some more of my works cause I think I came a long way since my little patches with Fence boys. So, when I got into iwtv I obviously wanted to make smth too - and I decided to make a shirt with Claudia cause she needs so much more appreciation than she’s getting. Fuck all these men, Claudia, I’ll put you first 😭

This is definitely my best (and the hardest😮‍💨) work for now. I spent a month on this shirt. I was inspired by that photo of Bailey as Claudia from the finale of season 1. I didn’t wanna make like a cute Claudia embroidery, I wanted to make an angry Claudia - cause she has all the rights to be angry.

You can think of blood drip from the neck like a reference to the book and her execution but you don’t have to! I think that just looks cool, there’s no sad story behind it!!!!

And of course I also added “evil of my evil”. Maybe I’ll calm down when I hear this in the show but for now I’m ready to go to Lestat’s concert in that shirt! Let’s haunt him together, Claudia 👺

Maybe not the best idea to take pictures in this shirt in the sunlight but I’m ready to burn with Claudia, so😗✌️
