So here’s the question: what will Kell’s reaction be if he finds out Alucard kissed and tried to seduce Lila on the ship?
I imagine it would end in the same way most Alucard and Kell interactions go
Alucard would goad Kell about him (more or less successfully) seducing Lila on the ship and Kell would go at Alucard’s throat while (presumably) Rhy is holding one of them back
Big jealousy from Kell and just a smug ass smile from Alucard like that one cat image

It is interesting, in retrospect, how during and immediately after their encounter with Delilah in episode 77, you can see it actively dawn on Imogen that Delilah is a 24/7 voyeur to everything that happens to/around Laudna, including her relationship with Laudna. Delilah taunts them by saying, "I'm always here" and Imogen whispers to herself, "Always," like this is the first time she's realized it and then immediately starts trying to plan a way, any way, to separate them, including saving the gods from Predathos specifically to call in a favor from one of them. It's such a numb, sudden, harrowing realization. It build perfectly to her admission of disgust when they were in the Fey Realm a couple episodes later

I feel kind of bad about doing something so petty, but each time I block a shipbrained weirdo, I feel a little lighter. And I think this will make my experience a lot better overall. I wasn’t caught up on the show until Chikhai Bardo, which is when I finally got online about it. And I’ve loved speculating about what might happen and discussing interpretations of various details and things like that, but honestly the shippers are also ruining it a little bit for me, to the point that I’m starting to feel hints of bitterness toward characters I love and relationships I’m invested in. Solely because of the dismissive, reductive, and bizarrely competitive attitudes I see shippers take toward the characters outside of their ship, and also tbh the objectification of the characters within their ship, and the horniness for the most toxic, psychologically damaging possible versions of the ship & characters. So this is the policy now. If your weird aggressive post makes me feel a streak of resentment toward a beautifully written character, well then so long, friend
#I recognize this post is also weird and aggressive. sorry. I’m just so tired of it and I hate that it affects my enjoyment of the show#inb4 someone thinks this is vagueposting a particular ship: no I’ve felt pissed if at plenty of both markhelly and markgemma fans#*pissed off#although when I talk about the frothing at the mouth for psychologically damaging toxicity I am thinking more of markhellys.#I think probably bc the fetishization of huge age gaps; weird crazy power dynamics; hypersexuality born of serious mental health issues etc-#-all tie in way too closely with my severe traumas of my teens/early twenties#and it’s fucked up bc I don’t think any of those things are actually significant factors in the markhelly relationship on the show!#like for one thing once you’re in your 30s a 13 year age gap is pretty meaningless#another side of this is ppl insistingggg that Gemma was really dead and only existed as a shell of herself. or was doomed in some other way#or that the relationship with mark was a failure. I’ll grant that the infertility issues put a lot of strain on the relationship. but also -#-every long term relationship goes through times of strain like that#but then on the other hand there are people who refuse to acknowledge that mark and helly’s relationship can possibly be meaningful-#important and real#reducing it to two children who like each other when the truth is it’s a deep connection and bond between adults#that’s love! they are in love#saying that imark should blindly follow omark and just walk into oblivion leaving his love behind#painting helly as catty and cruel#like have you even watched the show?#and either faction insisting that their ship is INEVITABLE and the only conclusion that makes sense for the show’s narrative arc-#when actually it’s perfectly transparent that the reason for saying so is not good faith analysis but rather ship motivated#BOTH relationships are beautiful and meaningful and important. that’s the point! that’s the tragedy!! is it so impossible to lean into and -#-explore that? I get that the tension that creates is challenging and maybe it feels psychologically easier to just pick a side and die on-#-that hill#idk I just think these guys might prefer something more like… The Twilight Saga maybe?#or just sports. pick a team and root for the team and that’s pretty much all there is to it!#r&r (ranting and raving)

So how did you start to ship them? Tbh it was because they were fighting. I usually don't ship hate/love relationship but for these two they're so balanced in fighting that it's just funny
I always see NK as being the one who can actually lead their relationship because Killer T is a Tsundere
GOSH I HAVENT OPENED MY INBOX IN FOREVER IM SO SORRY😭😭😭
i’ve always been a sucker for whatever trope they have, i like when two characters don’t get along at first but slowly warm up to eachother as the series progresses while at the same time still being able to pick on eachother LMAO its also cute how they’re both pretty competitive individuals so its only natural for them to make fun of eachother’s weaknesses but i like how instead of making fun of her he decides to help her get her back up on her feet in this scene🄹
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(fellas is it normal for me to catch feelings for my rival after we get forced to team up during battle)
also yeah i totally get where you’re coming from FJKSWJNDNX i’ve always liked the idea of nk leading their relationship cause that’s how i’ve been seeing them my whole life too😭 kt probably refuses to show too much emotion at first and tries to be all tough but it just leads to him becoming a huge cringefail loser psshhh but again i still think kt doesnt have to always be the loser in the relationship, they still equally blackmail and compete with eachother in the end lolz

Some notes on Frank Underwood I don’t think people notice.
He grew up in a background littered with domestic abuse. He was born when his parents were presumably quite young (his father was 24 when he was born), he lived in an unstable background where food wasn't even a guarantee, his mother hated his father, hell his father even asked Frank to pull the trigger on his gun and kill him. And Frank regrets not doing it because the next seven years were full of abuse.
His faith in God was already shattered by the time he was at the Sentinel. He is not an atheist. He just believes God is cruel and hypocritical. He doesn’t even believe in heaven because of it. It comes from the place of someone who has most likely been shown the hypocrisy of something he has grown up with since childhood in his teenage years, and of course Frank never changes this view.
He didn't escape poverty even at the Sentinel. He spent his scholarship money on his father's gravestone because the Underwoods were that poor. And even then he had to work with a weed farmer to have enough money simply toĀ buy school books.
He views himself as seemingly largely unlovable by default, especially given the breakdowns of his friendships such as with Freddy in the late seasons. He says as much to Claire when he says no one will ever love him like she does.
He is raped, but this is never acknowledged by the show as potentially having consequences for his mental health because he is a male victim (I will rant about how the 3x02 sex scene was rape for ages).
His anger causes him to throw things, and he easily gets violent. Yet at the end of it all he has a very machine-like atmosphere, he has to be stoic, at least in public, or he will just see everything crash down. Showing vulnerability is a weakness.
"But do you wanna know what takes real courage? Keeping your mouth shut, no matter what you might be feeling."
The voice he speaks with is just as much a persona as the rest of him. The persona is that he is affable, a Southern gentleman, he speaks eloquently if he can. He only speaks with his natural accent and dialect in one aside when talking about his childhood and an event that is parallel to his abuse. He is proud of coming from impoverished roots and making something of himself - but his natural voice reflects the trauma. He suppresses it.
Everything he does is based on one root cause - survival, not just legacy. He has fought to kept himself alive throughout his life. He has fought through being born into poverty. He has fought through both military college and Harvard. He has fought to be a congressman - in particular a Democrat in the Deep South - and later VP and president. His need for power comes completely from his will to survive.
"You don't deserve it. You have no idea what it means to have nothing. You don't value what we have achieved. I have had to fight for everything my entire life."
"We're murderers, Francis." "No we're not. We're survivors."
In conclusion your honour this man has C-PTSD but would never admit it

"are you a top or bottom" well first im gonna ask what definition that you're using for that cause there's the actual meaning of positioning and then there's the really intrusive implication that there's an inherent power dynamic in all gay sex related to who is giving and who is receiving. and then i'm not gonna answer either way cause thats not anyones business. what the fuck man

#interview with the vampire#i just found and watched a video on youtube that is a lestat hate and rant about his fans and it was so SO cathartic#i dont even agree with everything said and was naturally at first skeptic of a youtuber's opinion#but finally FINALLY there is a louder voice of someone who can see things about this show from another point of view#even if it's a pov that's more strict than the one i use to analyze media myself#i thought i was going crazy when seeing the fan opinions surrounding this show. mostly out there but sometimes here too#like yeah with how popular loustat is i knew there would be plenty of bias for the angle that flatters it#but the things ive seen lestat & loustat fans say.... the longing for eye bleach was real#but finally someone is there to underline that hey. that very present very intentional racial and power dynamics are in fact very real.#do in fact influence the characters accordingly. and does not come out of thin air or just 'the circumstances'#it's valid to explore the other side of the coin in louis' character of course. but it doesnt mean that it's not there#mind you. all of that shit louis described? is while insisting he was not 'an abused person'#and its so satisfying to see how someone can pass all the bullshit and have the serenity of heart to recognize that#regardless of everything else. there is a reason why louis felt like lestat was a predator and he was being preyed on#that is because he largely was. lestat *was* a vampire on the hunt. an emotional vampire to boost along with the more literal sense#he might disagree to be doing that on a conscious level and he might have clear reasons to have the instincts he does. he still did that#thank you for also calling bullshit on the reunion scene dialogue and parts of the trial in how it was trying to frame certain things#its the main reason why s2 didnt fully work for me. like jesus christ.#that man literally was part of a ploy to murder their daughter. BE SERIOUS. and im supposed to be mad about armand's involvement??#i also felt so seen when he talked about how dickmatized penis delirious to the point of frustration louis is#there is so much to be grateful for. in highlighting the weight of lestat's involvement vs armand's#in talking about louis' family's side of things. expressing how people for some reason love to call armand a mastermind lying manipulator#when the first culprit of that is the blonde bitch??#honestly the irritation i feel towards many of the fans of this show and the major opinions was such#that i was feeling bad just be seeing iwtv content around and i dont wanna feel like that. i like the show so much.#this was soul clearing in a way. even if. again. i dont fully agree with everything#love how its so clear how so many people try to invoke the books when trying to dissuade him from thinking ill of lestat#because thats exactly my experience too LMAO. talk about a weak limpdick argument#and people who try to invoke unreliable narrator are not much better#and the whole story is made up from the writer's head and nothing matters! see i can do this too

For the writer asks !
How many wips do you have
When did you first start writing
Do you have a guilty pleasure to read or write
How many wips? Way to many ngl (惎_<态) But lookin' at the numbers, I've got Works in Progress according to ao3, which I seriously thought there'd be like 30, (it feels like thirty istg) but turns out I have grossly underestimated the amount of oneshots I have. Still, 20 is around half of all my total works, so 45% are WIP's. A little under half!
I've been writing since I was really young, I think? I don't have an exact year, but I've been writing little scribbles of stuff for a while. But if we're talking, like, fanfic specifically, I joined ao3 around summer of 2021, so about 3 years of fanfic writing! I never checked before, I could have a little fanfic anniversary, haha!
Like I said in another ask, I am super indulgent on whatever I write honestly, but basically: villainous/evil women, characters turning evil, characters rejecting destiny/responsibilities, truth serum/spell, time travel/time loop, freak for freak (rare ship moment), but some bonus ones I forgot to mention: āœ§Ė–Ā° any trope that has to do with the mindscape like a somehow going into a character's mind, or like the physical manifestation of parts of characters' personality/emotions. Plus angst. Non-romantic angst, but gimme a mf whose just having a terrible time and I should be sold. And when characters snap, when the mask drops, when they gotta admit the lie, etc etc, especially masks being revealed. I'll eat it up, scrumptiousssss. And any dynamic where they're just trying to make the other worse, especially if they think that's "better" somehow.

In terms of Inquisitor stories I'm hoping that we potentially get someday, I'm looking forward to seeing how the Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother's dynamic got established. While we don't know much about them as a duo before rebels, it's been established that if they're in the same room, they're near each other (be it fighting or just in each other's presence), and they also hate the other's guts. We also know, based on their sparring together in Vader (2017) and their appearance in Rise of the Red Blade (also sparring together and/or Seventh heckling Fifth while around Iskat) that they've been at it since 19BBY and kept it up until 3BBY, which, especially considering the backstabby nature of the inquisitorius, is a long time!
I do ship them, so clearly my questions about/view of them has a bit of a romantic and/or sexual tinge to it, but even completely in the context of a platonic relationship, the question of why those two gravitate to each other fascinates me, given everything else we know about them as characters and how they interact with the other inquisitors.
There's quite a bit of evidence for this on Fifth's end—he doesn't take shit from Reva or Iskat, and the only inquisitor he shows true fealty/respect to is the Grand Inquisitor. Seventh, whether or not you take stock in the numerical rank system, doesn't outrank him, and she'll also openly confront him, so there are similarities among her, Reva, and Iskat in that none of the three of them are doormats. Notably, one could also assume Fifth's attitude skews a bit misogynistic, as he doesn't seem to have the same issues with Eighth or Tualon based on what little we get of those dynamics, but that's a different post.
We've gotten less of Seventh's dynamic with a variety of inquisitors given her comparative lack of content compared to him (not that I'm bitter), but she's clearly headstrong, smart, cruel, and isn't afraid to push others under the bus in order to gain the upper hand in a situation for revenge. Given all this, it's notable that despite their arguing, she consistently works with Fifth and spars with him (which, even Iskat notes that sparring with Seventh is sort of terrifying). Clearly, Seventh's willing to put up with him as much as he's willing to put up with her. Since she isn't that different from Reva and Iskat, all things considered, what was The Thing that did makes Seventh and Fifth tolerate, and even gravitate toward, each other?
Obviously, I have my own ideas for why (up to and including "they want to jump each other's bones about it"), but in terms of guessing what canon may do? I'd estimate that when the two first meet (and they're probably among the earliest to do so/the earlier initiates), Seventh takes Fifth's surliness less personally than the other inquisitors and makes it more into banter, keeps pushing him back. This pisses him off, but the fact that she doesn't back down draws him in, both as a rival and otherwise. Given the fact that he's dyed-in-the-wool committed to the inquisitor cause and less fazed about evildoing, her propensity for cruel and unusual violence may not bother him as much as it would the others. The two of them coming as a set may be process of elimination as much as it is being drawn to the other, honestly.
This bit also didn't really fit anywhere else, but what cements their dynamic as different to me is something I noticed while watching Rebels, where despite the fact that Seventh almost always takes point on missions (and in notable contrast to owk, he usually lets her), the two have what seems to be an unspoken agreement that Fifth is the one interacting with imperial leadership and Vader. By the end, they clearly know each other, even through pointed barbs.
