zb1 as the "best friend's brother" trope
genre: fluff/comedy
pairing: reader (gn) x all members of zerobaseone
about/tags: zerobaseone as "best friend's brother" but not all are romantic
thank you anon for req, some are not accurate in terms of siblings, mentions of violence but not actually violent, kinda pg for jiwoong, secret relationships for some, yujin is platonic!
Tumblr media
⠀⠀ kim jiwoong ⠀⠀
"she's gonna kill me when she finds out, you know"
jiwoong is occupied with tracing small kisses along your neck, too busy showering you with affection to care about what his sister thinks about dating you
"so?" he says. you try to push him away, giggling while you try to explain that older brothers are usually off limits.
he's a full on tease, and he knows exactly the power he holds over you when he says "you'd bend the rules for me though, yeah?"
you kiss him again as confirmation "yeah, yeah i would"
your best friend, does in fact think about ~killing~ you when she finds out
but she sees how much her brother has changed, he's happier now, and decides maybe it is better that you stay together.
⠀⠀ zhang hao ⠀⠀
(i know he's an only child so let's just pretend okay)
one thing about you and hao is that you can both take a secret to your graves
so no one ever finds about you sneaking out of his sister's room during your weekend sleepovers, only to cuddle up to him on his bed. no one finds out about the secret dates you go on in the next town over, so that you don't get caught. and no one finds out about the secret phones you both use to contact each other.
if you have to be in the same room together, he's not even making any eye contact with you. it's better to ignore each other in public, like you always have.
when you guys are 7 months into the relationship, spooning on his bed, he asks "how long do you want to keep us a secret?
to which you reply "not any longer than you want to."
so yeah, you can both keep a secret – until you decide you want to share it to the world
your friend is disgusted, but happy for you. emphasis on disgusted tho.
⠀⠀ sung hanbin ⠀⠀
you like going to ludia cafe because one, food is always free as long as you're with hanareum (hanbin's younger sister) and two, hanbin makes the said food
you have a massive schoolgirl crush on hanbin, and he is aware to some degree that you like him. i mean you ask all sorts of questions like "oppa what do you like doing for fun?" or "oppa are you seeing anyone?" "oppa what are you going to study for university? "
and him being the nice person that he is, he answers all your questions genuinely with a large customer service smile
after he debuted you kept supporting him as a fan, only to show up to girls planet season two a year later to make your debut too.
when he sees you again, hanbin tells you that you grew up really well, and that you can rely on him as a sunbae. your relationship stays like that for a while, platonic hoobae and sunbae. on holidays, you even travel to your hometown together. and you see each other outside work often because you both show up to support hanareum's sporting events.
it takes a while, like YEARS, for hanbin to view you as a potential romantic interest. but seeing you laugh alongside his sister during chuseok, he can't help but think about how you're technically already part of the family.
⠀⠀ seok matthew ⠀⠀
don't get it twisted HE has a crush on YOU
being neighbors and the same age as his older sister yaeby, meant that you practically grew up in the seok household too. but you always viewed matthew as your best friend's dorky little brother.
you and yaeby used to dress him up in girl clothes and make him perform, and as he got older, this evolved to him becoming an errand boy for whenever you guys had parties or friends over. matthew of course he did everything you asked because he finds you so so so pretty, how can he say no?
you're an avid supporter of their entire family, so you also fly to korea to support matthew during the finals, along with his mom and sister. he's a little surprised when he sees you, then a little embarrassed when he realized you also saw him cry like a baby.
you ruffled his hair and said "congrats matthew!!"
now, he actively flirts with you for fun because you'll always be his first crush. you never considered taking his advances seriously up until recently because when the hell did he grow up
woohyun oppa agenda is working....and yae makes fun of you for it
⠀⠀ kim taerae ⠀⠀
he's practicing a song he wrote in the living room when his older sister innocently asks who it's about
"um...yeah it's...it's umm about...umm.." literally cannot give a straight answer because how do you tell your older sister that it's a song for her best friend
her best friend that he secretly makes out with behind the school parking lot, her best friend that drives with him to go get takeout at 2am, and her best friend that he's so painfully in love with but doesn't have the actual guts to ask them out
"is it about y/n?" he's shocked when his sister asks. he finds out that you've already told her, and he's relieved he doesn't have to walk around eggshells anymore.
actually his sister has known all along, you were very open and honest about it when you started catching feelings about your bff's younger brother. taerae had just assumed you were ashamed to be dating someone a year younger, so he thought he ought to keep it a secret unless told otherwise
when he confesses that to you, you can't help but giggle. you proceed to squish his cheeks as you say "why would I ever want to keep you a secret, silly"
⠀⠀ ricky ⠀⠀
ricky thinks it's so cute, how you're constantly paranoid that someone will catch you two doing something remotely couple-y
you guys weren't a secret or anything, but you wanted to remain ~respectful~ and would very much want to avoid being teased by your friend group. therefore keeping pda at a minimum.
when he hugs you in the middle of his kitchen, you attempt to release his grip from you when you say "what if someone sees, ricky?"
"look around, no one's here" and he's right, no one is there. so you let him bury his face into your neck as he hugs you, and he's whispering something about how you smell like warm vanilla cookies.
when his sister, your best friend, enters the room she says something along the lines of "ugh you two are so gross. get a room."
and you're all like -_- "see. i told you this was gonna happen."
⠀⠀ kim gyuvin ⠀⠀
you have the biggest crush on him and you don't even try to hide it
your best friend tells you that you have no chance, after all his brother is a "hot commodity" in the school. but you wanna make yourself known as an option, you're only a year younger after all!
you literally bum around their house every weekend, and flat out flirt in front of everyone. "when's our date, gyuvin oppa ;)" or "how long are you going to keep me waiting for you?"
you remain unbothered at his clumsy and awkward responses, and strongly believe that in the end, he'll fall for you anyways. your best friend calls you extremely delusional and overconfident – but, gyuvin lowkey finds it adorable that you have a little crush on him
you're right tho about him falling for you in the end
once you stopped visiting the house every weekend, gyuvin asks his brother why you haven't been coming over anymore
"oh hyung, they have a boyfriend now"
and he's all like "boyfriend? since when? what? i thought they liked me?"
is slightly offended and highly intrigued that you got a boyfriend w/o him knowing
⠀⠀ park gunwook ⠀⠀
gunwook often wonders why his older brother isn't dating you.
"hyung, are you sure you're just best friends. like sure sure?"
because he thinks you're the perfect person: beautiful, smart, tall, funny, even plays genshin impact. his brother teases him, "if you think she's so great, why don't YOU date her gunwook-ah"
as if on cue, you walk back into the room and ask what everyone's talking about. and gunwook's brother just full on exposes him like "gunwook has a crush on you"
his cheeks turn so red, and he's so defensive when he says "hyung, i do not!"
you think it's adorable, so you pinch gunwook's bready cheeks :D saying something along the lines of "you're too young for me wookie"
⠀⠀ han yujin ⠀⠀
you're really close friends with yujin's older brother
and yujin often goes to you for "girl advice" since you're the only girl he knows that isn't his classmate sjhdbjh
he'd ask questions about what gifts to give when you confess to someone, what to say in a love letter, and he'd even ask for date place recommendations
you're bamboozled as to why yujin is such a sweet kid, meanwhile his brother is a pain in your friend group's ass
one time yujin got rejected, and you found him sulking alone at the dinner table eating the box of cookies he was gonna give his crush. he offers you one, and you both eat in silence before consoling him.
"yujinie, you're still young. you'll meet plenty of other people that are a far better match for you. don't worry." he mumbles something about being single forever and you giggle, telling him he's being a little dramatic lol
Tumblr media
A/N: i tried researching on their siblings to find out if y/n would be older or younger lol but again, not all are accurate!!
personally, the jiwoong one got me.

so, normally, i would post way more, about specific episodes, as i tried to do, but like damn. my watch of season 2 absolutely flew by.
i have so many thoughts about everything. i think this is for me the same thing as star trek. thats the highest compliment i can give it.
i love the "crew". with every new episode, sam grows more beautiful.
"Holiday" hit me pretty hard, which i didnt expect.
apophis is dead? damn bro. like finally. but he died the most horrible death. i feel awful for his host. because, even though Daniel Jackson did the whole capture the soul in the statuette thingie, it doesn't matter, because heru-ur probably keeps torturing him eternally. not sure.
my god. "One False Step". also incredibly good. i knew, that Jack cared deeply for Daniel, but their friendship wasn't really there. something was missing for me, i guess. this episode completed it for me. that scene, when they are sitting on the hospital bed apologizing to each other? perfection. and the whole idea behind the concept, with the singing mushroom guys, i love this episode so fucking much. when daniel exploded with the whole "we are genociding a people" i was genuinely very worried that they are just gonna all die.
"Show and Tell". the Retoor. so fucking cool damn. but creepy asfuck aswell. that whole mother business creeped me the hell out. when the boy told Jack that he wanted to be called "Charlie" i was devastated, because i thought for the third time, Jack was gonna lose his son. atleast that didnt happen, ig. i do think though that the Retoor are possibly even a bigger threat then the Goa'Ulds.
"1969" was my kind of episode. absolute perfection. we got. time travel shenanigans check. we got hippies in a cool fucking bus? check. we got young lieutenant hammond? check. loved the whole road trip feel that the episode has. i think the actress for "old" Clarissa was not well chosen though. small nitpick.
and now, "Out of My Mind". now i immedietally you know that only Jack being in 2077 was impossible. the show couldnt continue if they got off-screened. but in my mind i assumed that maybe Jack is gonna time travel back to 1997 or something. but then when the Tok'ra doctor gave him the "high-tech hypnosis" device, i suspected that something shady is going on. the Teal'c insert, with the whole speech, and Bratak being beaten, was suprising to me. i genuinely thought more people would rally. but again, stargate is perfection, cuz yeah. these people completely lost their identity. like, jaffa, to me, is a title, right? Teal'c is not a jaffa, he is Tauri, i guess, be grew up on Chulak. so are they Chulakians? were there ever a time when they weren't occupied by the Goa'ulds? idk. cool to thing about. more to come i hope.
and then of course came the peak moment. now i dont really ship Jack and Carter yet. atleast i didnt use to. i thought they worked completely well as just great friends who have huge respect for each other. but when Jack killed Hathor, in that manner, and then the hug... yeah man, i knew. i knew haha. but yeah, not possible. fuck regulations. so i guess this will be another Beverly situation.
gonna start watching season 3 now. im so happy that i found this series haha. i thought it would take longer to find something on the same level as startrek. you people got it good in the 00s. haha.

Check Point (John Price x Reader)
John makes dinner and you discuss decorating for the holiday.
1.1k words
CW: none - this is pure fluff. (Or is it?)
Feedback welcome!
This work is part of the S.N.A.F.U. series, the Masterlist is also pinned to my blog.

Tumblr media
John is like the cat that got the cream the entire next day. He’s never out of reach, not exactly hovering, but staying within arms-length. He eventually talks you into watching football with him, which you do, curled around each other for a few hours. He’s only vaguely sorry about the bruises on your thighs, but mindful of them when jostling with you for position on the couch so you can’t get too annoyed with him.
He offers to cook dinner, so you occupy yourself by dragging your box of Christmas decorations out. It’s not big, and half of the box are vintage glass ornaments you are too scared to actually hang on a tree, the glass thin and fragile and the ancient wire hangers rusty. You look up at John after carefully setting the vintage ornaments aside, trying to gauge how receptive he would be to going shopping this close to the holidays. His eyes raise off his task to meet yours, like he can feel the weight of your gaze.
“I don’t have any of the hardware needed to get a tree darling, I think that may have to be a task for next year.”
John speaks before you can say anything. You press your lips together to keep from smiling at his allusion to next year, something warming in your chest at his easy projection into the future.
“That’s alright, I was actually wondering if you would consider coming shopping with me tomorrow? I shouldn’t be spending more money right now but all my decorations are old and you have approximately…?”
You hold up your hand to John, indicating he should fill in the blank you have left at the end of your sentence. He understands without having to be prompted.
“None.”
“Right. Thank you.”
John sighs, going back to his task before replying.
“On a scale of one to ten, how necessary is this shopping? Worth dealing with the crowds?”
You hum, thinking for a moment while you watch him work. You forget, sometimes, that John is a veteran with trauma. He’s so self-assured and confident that things like busy crowds and loud venues half the time don’t occur to you as potential triggers, just a normal course of life. A part of you knows that the landscape is different for John, last night being a prime example.
“No, you know what, don’t worry about it. I can go on my own.”
You cut him some slack, not wanting to put him through unnecessary hardship. That has him looking up at you again though, unexpectedly. He looks like he’s going to say something and then presses his lips together, redirecting himself to rolling a chicken breast around ham and cheese.
You don’t realize he’s still stewing on it until you’re setting up little reindeer figurines made of ceramics along the edge of the island where he’s working.
“Do I get a say in any of this decorating?”
You look up at him, surprised. His face is serious, tracking your placement of the ceramic deer.
“How do the deer offend, my lord?”
You joke, unsure if John’s annoyed with the decorating itself or your choices. He shoots you a look that would probably have anyone else quailing. You raise an eyebrow, unimpressed with his grump and set the deer down in place firmly instead.
“Don’t give me that look, what’s wrong with Vixen and Blitzen?”
“Nothing.” He backpedals, but you aren’t having it.
“You wanted a say, let’s hear it then.”
You gesture with your hand, encouraging him to come out with it. He straightens and looks at you steadily before surprising you again.
“Why did you uninvite me?”
“Uninvite you? From what? Shopping?”
You’re grasping at straws, trying to piece together what’s annoyed him about being let off from that particular task.
“Yeah. You asked if I wanted to go and then told me to forget it immediately. Is this because I don’t condone all that glitter?”
You can’t help the swell of affection that squeezes your heart, looking at him frowning down at you. His hands are held aloft, covered in chicken juices but you step into his side and wrap your arms around his waist tightly anyways. The snowman figurine with generous glitter had been a hard no from the former Captain when you had unpacked it.
“No, it’s because I didn’t think it was fair to ask you to deal with the crowds. Your lack of festive spirit is a separate issue.”
“I can be festive.” He huffs, deflating slightly in your arms.
“Say it louder so my snowman can hear you.”
He shoots you a look and you smile, patting his ribs before letting him loose again.
“You can come if you really need to have a say, John. I just didn’t think it was worth putting you through all the hustle and bustle for just a wreath and some knick-knacks.”
“I know you; you say just a wreath and knick-knacks but you’ll be back here with more bags than you can carry if you’re unsupervised.”
That’s a fair point but you’ll be damned before you let John know that you agree.
“Oh, well if I need saving from myself, I suppose you’re the man for the job.”
You raise an eyebrow at him, casually placing another deer in the line-up. He shakes his head, wisely, focusing back on his work, placing the chicken on a baking tray.
“Trying to save the flat’s limited storage space, love.”
“Hmm…I suppose I can believe that.”
You agree easily, looking at him out of the corner of your eye. He smiles to himself, carrying on to wash his hands at the sink. You watch him, the strong lines of his back flexing under his old t-shirt as he moves. You can’t help picturing the way his back would look as he moves inside you and feel your belly swoop and face heat at the image it conjures in your mind. He turns to dry his hands and catches you staring, face flushed. He raises his eyebrows at you and tucks his chin, a look you know well as an unspoken question. The slow smile that curls across your face is anything but innocent.
“How long is the timer set for?”
You can’t help asking, the thrill of teasing John perennial in your life, now with richer rewards for your trouble. He’s able to read your thoughts just as easily as you read him apparently because his answering grin is savage.
“Long enough.”
Your feet are moving before he’s finished speaking.

never too busy for you - k. mbappé
Tumblr media
↳ I do not own this gif. this gif belongs to its rightful owner.
masterlist
v-day collection
requested: y
pairings: kylian mbappé x reader
warnings: established relationship + some google translate French + semi short + wee bit of fluff
a/n: remember if you want a Valentine’s Day imagine or blurb you need to submit it before February 28th, 2023! ps I don’t like the way this ends 😅
he was a busy man. football was his top priority and his love—even if he swore you ranked above the sport. so when February rolled around and you both sat down to look at your schedules, you already had planned that celebrating Valentine’s Day wasn’t going to be in the books.
it wasn’t anything you were super sad about. having been in a relationship with kylian for two years now, there were certain holidays and birthdays that he had to miss, but he always made it up to you. and it wasn’t like you weren’t spoiled or treated like a princess everyday, so you were fine missing out on one day.
so when Valentine’s Day rolled around you both were too occupied to even have noted the date. work was so consuming, you didn’t notice the few coworkers with flowers and candies from loved ones. and kylian was so consumed in football, he didn’t have time to listen in on the semi-romantic conversations his teammates were having.
when he finally got home from practice one evening, you were dead asleep on the couch when he looked at the calendar noticing Valentine’s Day had passed. it was two days ago.
“oh baise moi.” he looked over at you on the couch and then back at the calendar. his life was so busy and he hated that. he could only think of one thing that could make up for lost time together and for Valentine’s Day. (oh fuck me)
the next morning you woke up to the smell of sweet pancakes. it brought a smile to your face at the gesture, but it also confused you as to why kylian was still home. he was supposed to be training.
getting up you threw the covers off your body, rushing down the stairs to see your boyfriend shoving chocolate chips in his mouth while flipping pancakes. “aren’t you supposed to be working out?” you asked, noting the time on the clock he was supposed to have been long gone hours ago.
he looked over at you with a smile on his face, “not anymore, mon amour. taking a couple of days off to be with you.” he grabbed your waist pulling you closer to him to plant a kiss on your temple.
you pulled away, looking up with furrowed eyebrows, “why? what happened?”
he laughed, shaking his head “why does something always have to be bad? I just want to be with you.” it was a sweet gesture. but you couldn’t imagine him actually being able to spend a couple of days off from football to be with you. you knew by the end of today he would be itching to get back out there.
uneasy, you nodded along going to make yourself a cup of coffee to see he had already done so. it was done just the way you liked it. a little bit of cream and a little bit of sugar. he remembered.
you turned to face him, coffee in hand, “there has to be a reason why you’re taking a couple of days off, kylian. I don’t believe it’s just because.”
he sighed, you weren’t going to drop it until he actually told you the truth. because you both knew those words were only somewhat true. there was always more to it with him. “we didn’t get to spend Valentine’s Day together. so I want to make up for it.”
a smile formed on your lips. you could care less about missing Valentine’s Day, it hadn’t even occurred to you that the date had passed, but you were excited to spend some well rested time together. you felt like you hadn’t see much of kylian last month. “so what do you want to do today?” you asked and for the first time ever he was completely fine having nothing on his schedule or doing anything.
“whatever you want to do, I’m down.”
with nothing but a clear schedule, you went from movie marathons, to baking sweets, make out sessions, and taking naps. everyday off he had consisted of the same thing, a whole lot of nothing. you figured he’d have broke at some point and went for run or use the treadmill, but he stuck to his promise. he did anything you wanted to do and took some well needed time off. needless to say, he needed that time with you more than he thought.
“I think these past couple of days have been the best days with you.”
“same for me, mon amour. happy very late Valentine’s Day.”

Zinnias | Lloyd Garmadon x fem!reader | Part 5
Why are big statues coming to life?
Previous part, Masterlist, Next part
Tumblr media
It was oddly domestic how we worked. Lloyd would often have to leave at odd times for work and would come back very late or early in the evening. I felt like a housewife. I had no lessons due to it being the holiday but I had way too much work to do as it was. I hated being in this shit hole but it was better than back ‘home’, here I had friends and Lloyd. The tapping on my window made me frown. Lloyd was at work. I peeked out to see green and I grinned, pulling back the blinds and opening the window.
“Hey, homeboy, where have you been?” I asked and his eyes turned from wide, happy to see me to a dull, unamused, stern gaze.
“I regret coming here already.” He said and I smiled, climbing out the window.
“C’mon, don’t be like that. Where have you been?!” I asked and he shrugged.
“I’ve been busy- you’ve been busy.” Green added and I flushed.
“You know about that?” I asked and he nodded, he looked almost smug? From what I could tell from his eyes.
“Personal stalker, remember?” He asked and I nodded.
“Right, forgot about your obsession.” I said and he rolled his eyes. “What are you doing here then?” It’s mid-day? Just because my dorm building only has 3 rooms occupied at the moment doesn’t mean no one can see you. There’s probably some 13 year old losing her mind right now.” I said and he rolled his eyes.
“I’m on my way to the museum- I’ve just took care of our dragon and I was on strict orders to not come until all its shit was picked up so I’m sorry if I still smell. I feel like I can’t wash it off.” Green explained and I frowned.
“You have a dragon?” I asked and he nodded.
“Yeah- the one with four heads- they’re actually right above us if you want to see.” He casually added and I looked up to see the beast staring down at me. I jumped in shock as it bent down and the two centre heads gently nudged me and one blew really cold air on me. I even shivered and that caused the other one to breathe really hot air on me and now I felt over heated.
“That is really cool but I also feel like I’m in shellshock right now.” I said and he laughed.
“Okay, back off, she’ll pet you guys another time.” The dragon- moped? And got down to allow Lloyd on- Green- why do I think of Lloyd every time I see him?! I watched as the green, oddly familiar, green eyes winked at me and I smiled in response. “I’ll see you soon, bro.” He said and I laughed.
“You admit it- I’m a homeboy!” I yelled but he flew off. What a surreal experience.
“Was that a ninja?!” Fuck.
🪺. *. ⋆
The ninjas were smashing so many of these little figures that had come to life, Lloyd’s arrival almost made no difference.
“How many of these things are there?!” Lloyd asked only to be met with another one jumping at him. He thought with his father’s sudden disappearance he would get a moment of peace.
“Look who decided to turn up! We’ve been at this for an hour!” Jay screeched.
“Yeah, I hear you, I got caught up.” Lloyd excused and Cole scoffed.
“Ever since this guy got laid, he’s been a flake!” Cole said and Kai stopped one from hitting Cole in the back of the head.
“Yet he’s doing better than us in training!” Kai added and Cole shook his head.
“Who’s giving you that good of a fuck, it’s excelling your training?!” Cole asked and Lloyd smashed the figure in front of him, sending a mini earthquake through the room, the vibrations causing the figures on the floor to shatter.
“Okay, we get it, you still have your powers.” Kai said and Nya sent a burst of water into a figure about to attack Kai. “You too.” Some stone warrior figures poured marbles below him and Cole’s feet and that seemed to push Kai over the edge. “Alright, play times over!” He yelled before doing spinjitsu. The other 3 following as Lloyd, Nya and Sensei Wu watched, un-approving of their actions as the whole room was now destroyed. However, all the figures with the exception of one were destroyed. Only Wu seemed to notice this, sprinting out the chase the figure when the other ninjas clocked on a followed.
He managed to chase the little figure down and smash it with his foot. Wu didn’t have time to be proud of himself when he heard a familiar heartbeat. His super-hearing had made him memorise heartbeats in the same way his nephew and brother did. But this one he had spent hours upon hours listening to. When the door behind him creaked open, and the heart he knew so well almost rang in his ears, he turned. The first and only woman, Wu had ever loved stood before him.
“Misako?” The name slipping so effortlessly from his mouth.
“Wu.” She said, her voice still as smooth and charming as it had been some time ago.
“I- uh…” He fumbled over his words.
“It’s been a long time..” She added and he nodded.
Her braid still hadn’t changed although it was now covered in grey rather than the rich brown he was accustomed to. Thought of so passionately in his mind. The last time he had even seen her, she was only just starting to grey and had a newborn in her arms. A newborn with red eyes like his father. A newborn who was now an adult and his nephew. Because she had chosen his brother. Married him. And had a child with him. A child she abandoned. Wu was now over aware of who had a hand placed on his shoulder.
“So are you going to introduce us?” Jay asked, trying carefully not to break the moment. Lloyd showed no emotion to the woman and actually chose to eye her with suspicion but she hadn’t focussed on him yet. How would she know it’s him? Lloyd didn’t know her. And Lloyd certainly didn’t look how he was meant to after their 12 year separation. Wu cleared his throat and held the boy’s arm, Lloyd frowned at his Uncle but said no more. His Uncle had a content, almost excited smile on him. It was unusual for any of them to see.
“This is Misako, Lloyd’s mother.” And just like that, Lloyd’s world came tumbling down.
“My mother?!” Lloyd spoke, frozen in his shock.
“Lloyd?” She said, stepping forward. Her smile and tone felt so ironic for a woman who abandoned her 2 year old at a boarding school. “My little boy. You’re so much bigger than I thought you’d be-“ Lloyd smacked his Uncle’s hand away and took a step back. The anger seeped into his veins and did so quickly.
“Yeah, well, it’s been a long time.” He said, moving his arm away from his mother’s attempt at holding his hand.
“I didn’t want us to meet like this. I have a reason why I’ve been away-“ Misako tried to get to her son but he shook his head.
“And I don’t want to hear it.” Lloyd said before storming out. The others were shocked at such a reaction from Lloyd. Most his expected the boy to welcome his mother with open arms with how highly Wu always spoke of her. Garmadon had not spoke so highly, not after learning Lloyd had spent his life in a boarding school. Turns out the over-lord wasn’t pleased to learn his son that he was oblivious to his existence had spent a good 8 years in a boarding school being relentlessly bullied and then homeless at 10. It just wasn’t fair. Lloyd’s whole life wasn’t fair. And now his mother turns up in his life again after 12 years?
He couldn’t take it. He found his way into some room, with a giant pit. And a part of him felt like stepping into it. His mother wouldn’t care but Y/n would. His mind was spiralling. All these memories of mothers days that he had spent alone. How could his evil, tyrannical father care more about him than his mother? Garmadon didn’t know where he was or about him and within the first day of learning about his existence, he had sought his way out the underworld and had moved in with his enemies to kill snakes and reclaim his taken son. The first time they had met after he’d been rescued, his father had broken down. Holding him and spewing so many apologies for being absent when he hadn’t even known he existed. Lloyd held him back because for the first time, he had felt actual love. Like someone cared about him. Now he had grown up, he understood love. What it does to you. How deeply it can affect you when the person you love does something. Which is why Lloyd had always listened closely when Garmadon spoke of Misako. And it wasn’t nicely. It’s funny how a man corrupted by pure evil couldnt understand abandoning his son and only kept Lloyd with Wu because he was destined to be the Green ninja and because he believed that Lloyd would stay at the monastery until he grew up. Garmadon believed Lloyd would be safe. He was not.
“Hey, baby, you alright?” He basked in her voice.
“Is there any way you can make it to the museum right now?” Lloyd asked and he could hear the girl’s confusion on the other line.
“Museum- Lloyd the ninjas are there-! What are you-?!” He loves how concerned she is over him.
“I just met my mother.” He cut her off and she paused.
“I’ll be right there, it’s like a 10 minute walk. Are you okay?” He smiled. Not that she could see it.
“Just, come as quick as you can…” He said and heard her agree before she hung up and he sighed.
🪺. *. ⋆
This museum was a fucking maze. I didn’t even know what room he was in and there was barely anyone here. Lloyd wasn’t responding and I was considering giving up, until I turned around and saw a massive live statue of a stone warrior. It would’ve been cool if it hadn’t started raising its sword at me. I screamed. I’m not afraid to admit it. Before I sprinted. The thing didn’t hit me with the sword but it did make the ground shake which almost made me fall.
“What the fuck?!” I yelled as it was now chasing me?! What the hell?! What did I do?! “No,no,no-“ I screamed again as it almost got me.
“Peach!” Someone called but I didn’t see who. That was before 5 ninjas had jumped down before me. I saw no green in this rainbow and continued running. I heard someone talking, aggressively talking. The doors were closed though but I recognised that voice. I recognised it anywhere. I banged on the door, hearing and feeling as the footsteps got closer again.
“Open up! This massive asshole of a statue is chasing me!” I yelled and the doors swung open and I practically fell into Green’s arms- could’ve sworn that was Lloyd.
“Peach! Are you okay- I never should’ve of told you to come here--!” He looked up at someone cleaning their throat. I saw an older woman with grey hair and a braid, she didn’t look too old though.
“Lloyd-“ I said and his eyes widened.
“What?” Green asked. His hands cupping my cheeks.
“Where’s Lloyd-?!” I asked- almost begged, frightened tears threatened to spill from my eyes.
“He’s okay. You aren’t though.” Green told me and I shook my head.
“No-! I need to find him! It’s serious.” I said, my breathing becoming erratic.
“Lloyd will understand, you’ll see him soon but for now I gotta get you to safety and others because that thing is massive-!” He suddenly yelled at the appearance of the statue and I nodded.
“That was chasing me-!” I yelled and he took my hand, making me sprint with him to another room. The woman followed but I didn’t pay her much attention, I was holding onto Green like a lifeline as we ran away from this thing. We ended up in a large room and I noticed that everyone was here but I couldn’t breathe- I was suffocating. This felt like a panic attack. Green frantically turned to me and held me as I crumbled to the floor. I tried to breathe but I couldn’t.
“It’s okay, it’s okay.” He repeated, smoothing my hair as I gripped onto him like a lifeline. I suddenly pushed him off and looked around.
“Lloyd-“ I said again but he turned me back around.
“He’s fine, he’s okay, he’s safe. You’re not. We’ve got to focus on you, Peach.” Green told me and he sounded so much like him, felt like him. His hand moved my cheek and I held the side of his neck to support myself.
“Lloyd.” I said, more stern as I looked into his eyes. Those were Lloyd’s eyes, I swore those were his. His eyes widened more and I swore I saw some red in his iris. “Lloyd.” I whispered more harshly, my eyes widening. He shook his head. The red ninja placed a hand on his shoulder but he shrug it off. All the ninja were here? How embarrassing.
“No…” he said, weakly. He seemed so vulnerable right now. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I flinched.
“Maybe now is not the time for this-“ Wu said. Fucking Wu. I grabbed the man before I could think.
“Peach-!” I heard Green say but I stared into the old man’s eyes.
“Where is he?! I know you know.” I watched as his stern eyes drift up to Green who reached out for me again. I looked back to him. “Don’t say-“ I turned around to look at Green again, he looked guilty. “-what the fuck?!” i looked back at Wu who nodded. I let go of the old man away and stalked away from them all.
“It’s best to let her cool off-“ I heard a woman’s voice as I walked away.
“Don’t touch me.” That was Lloyd’s voice. He was Lloyd. Green was Lloyd. Lloyd was the Green ninja. With that thought in mind I felt like collapsing. The world around me slowed and I knew what came next.
But it didn’t matter because soon arms were around me, shielding me as a green force field encased us, the green turned mixed of peaches and purples before I watched as the statues sword glitched and burst after the colours turned back to green. It now had no weapon. Green held onto me- Lloyd held onto me -tighter as the big statue tried to attack the green bubble with his hand. It didn’t break but I could feel as it exhausted Lloyd. His eyes were closed tightly, in focus. I held him back and his eyes seemed to close even tighter before suddenly the statue was running away, chasing something else. Lloyd let the bubble burst and took a moment to catch his breath again. I just sunk to the floor. Staring blankly at where it had left. Lloyd quickly looked from me to the doorway before holding my head in his hands, making me look at him.
“I know you’re confused and that’s okay, I’ll be back soon, stay here, okay?” Was all he said before running off. I didn’t move, I don’t think I could.
Fuck that I could.
I moved to the doorway and watched as they tried to lead him to the big gaping hole in the middle of the floor of one room but it suddenly turned around a charged at some civilian who came running this way. I heard the ninjas protests and sounds of disappointment at their little trap not working. I watched as it now charged at me again. The blast of green energy on its back didn’t even make it falter as it stared me down and stopped, raising its hand. Ready to pummel me into the earth. I only glared up as I heard the yells, watching as the first came back down.
When the world slowed, everything felt so dramatic. I felt so untroubled. Like nothing really mattered. I felt like I could see the ins and outs of the earth and more, something no one else could. But now I just felt hurt, lied to. Somehow, I had really thought I’d bet on a winner only to realise I’m still by the loser’s side. Losing every time with them. At least I feel like I win when I lose. So I let myself feel the loser’s guilt as the fist came down on me. If only I could escape my problems so easy. It would’ve been easy to let that thing kill me. I started, tears in my eyes as the thing was now lodged into the floor. It glitched and got stuck. It would stay like that unless dug out. Only side of its face and some parts of the body could be seen. I climbed over the piece of forearm sticking out and saw the rest of the ninja. I didn’t let my tears fall but I suddenly had a feeling I knew who these ninjas were and specifically who the red one was. I shook my head at him.
“Peach! Peaches!” I heard his voice but I ignored him as I walked away. I was too tired and I had been deceived. I really believe they were separate people even with their uncanny similarities. “Y/n! Please!” I paused at that. The vase on display next to me, glitched. I let him run in front of me. “Thank you… I can tell you everything-“ I shook my head.
“I don’t want to know.”
“Just- come back to the monastery please. I can explain everything- show you!” Lloyd said and I shook my head.
“No.” I said and he sighed.
“Then I’ll come to yours just please don’t walk away.” He said and I let the tears flow, I quickly tired to wipe them. His hand reached up and grabbed my face again, I let him. Trying not to cry more as his thumbs gently wiped away a few tear tracks.
“Green, we need to go-!” Someone yelled but he growled- actually growled.
“No!” He said immediately. “Please, Y/n.” He whispered and I nodded.
“I’ll go with you.” I said and he rested his forehead on mine.
“Thank you, thank you!” He said quickly, desperately, and I let him lead me out the museum. I stayed silent, letting him decide everything for me. I felt numb. Like I had been overwhelmed to the point of exhaustion. And in a way, I had. He quickly pulled a cloth from the gift shop and wrapped it around the lower half of my face, covering my mouth and nose, before pulling my hood up. “To keep your identity secret.” He explained but I just looked up, blankly.
The dragon bowed and lowered its body to me. It gestured with one of its heads towards its back and I realised it wanted me to get on. I looked to Lloyd who lifted me effortlessly onto the shoulder of the dragon’s front leg and I had to grab onto onto the straps of the saddle to climb onto the saddle itself. If it wasn’t for my static state I might of been freaking out about the fact I was on a dragon, actually I was starting to feel a little freaked, that was until I felt Lloyd behind me. After adjusting himself accordingly, he held me closer to his body and grabbed onto the reigns. This thing was about to take off. I grabbed onto Lloyd’s arm around me, tightly. My eyes widened as it spread its wings and took off, it was a large and terrifying beast and it took its time ascending into the air. I pressed myself back into Lloyd who didn’t say anything, just rested his head against my shoulder. I hadn’t looked up from the saddle.
“It’s really pretty up here.” I heard Lloyd said but I ignored him. “I’ve always liked flying more than driving… feels more peaceful. Especially when it’s not really windy.” He said and I relaxed a little, looking up. I couldn’t tell if that was a bad or good thing. It was pretty but we were so high up. I was more interested in the dragon than the scenery. I placed a hand on the exposed white scale and felt as a rumble went through its body. I quickly retracted my hand. “They’re purring, they like you.” Lloyd added and I just nodded. The dragon head with brown outlines let out a long croon and I froze. “They want you to continue.”
“I’ve always loved dragons…” I said and scratched the scales area. The dragon shook almost shifting us too far off, I did not scream. Lloyd didn’t laugh at the fact I screamed. Because I didn’t scream.
“I’ve got you… if I knew you liked dragons, I would’ve got you to meet them sooner.” He said and it came back, the deceit. I could almost get it but it still hurt. I thought I had two new people and it almost feels like I lost a friend. I slumped again, removing my hand.
“You lied…” I said and he fumbled to try and get his words together.
“I didn’t want to… but I had to! I can’t go around saying I’m the green ninja.” He said and I nodded.
“I get that, I do but- but why would you get so close to me?! I thought I had a friend, Lloyd.” I said, hurt evident in my voice and I felt as he held on a little tighter.
“I wasn’t meant to! But I can’t leave you alone, you’re all I think about- I wasn’t meant to get too involved but then the thought of seeing you and not talking to you got to me- and then I found out about your powers-!” He reminded me and I shook my head.
“You were going to try and teach me as another person?!” I yelled and he cringed.
“Yes…” he admitted and I scoffed.
“And I felt guilty about the fact I didn’t tell you about my powers.” I said and he sighed, digging his face into my shoulder.
“I would’ve told you. I wouldn’t have let you find out like this if things were different.” Lloyd said and I paused.
“You called me…” I started and he pressed his head further into the corner of my neck. “You sounded so… so broken. I’d never been so scared, Lloyd.” I said and he nodded.
“I saw my mother and everyone acted like it was this happy thing. Like the woman hadn’t abandoned me and never came back to visit.” He said and I held onto his hand around my waist. We were started to descend now. Lloyd looked up to be able to our surroundings as we went down. “Wu looked at her like she was amazing. Some sort of spectacle. In reality, even my father used to say she was even more of a monster than him for abandoning a baby and not telling the father anything about him.” Lloyd revealed and my eyes widened. The landing was rougher than I thought and he was jumping off as soon as and encouraged me to slide down before he caught me and placed me firmly on the floor. I held onto for a moment as the sensation in my legs came back. We began walking after a moment, taking his hand in mine as he ripped off his mask and I pulled my hood off and makeshift mask too. “She tried talking to me. To explain everything- I didn’t want to know. I don’t want to know.” He added and I just followed him as he led me to a room that was covered in poster and green ornaments and nerdy things. Like Star Wars Lego sets and funko pops. He closed his door after I stepped in and opened his wardrobe. This was his room, I realised. I looked to his bedside to see a picture of a younger version of Lloyd in a smaller green Gi sat next to his uncle with the others in their Gi surrounding the two. They were all unmasked and poor Lloyd has a bowl cut.
“Your barber did you dirty.” I said and he looked at the frame I was looking at and let out a surprised laugh.
“The boys in my old dorm put a bowl over my hair, it was like a mullet- really long, anyway, one day they put a bow around my head when I was asleep and cut my hair. The teachers tidied it up the best they could but because it was boarding school for bad boys, they were rewarded and I just began hating my hair. Luckily, after the tea, my hair had changed drastically and Kai cleaned it up after.” Lloyd told me and I looked back at him, he was now just in his boxers. Pair of trousers in his hands ready to put on.
“I love your hair.” I said and he looked up before smiling, putting on his trousers as he spoke to me.
“With how much you tug it, I was thinking you were trying to rip it out-“
“Okay, Okay! I get it.” I said and pushed him away as he got seriously close. I laughed as he grabbed me and started kissing all over my face and neck. “Okay! I’m sorry, but I do love you hair. It’s softer than mine.”
“It’s not!” He immediately argued but backed off to go put his shirt on. He kicked the Gi towards a pile of dirty laundry, before turning and picking me up, easily. My legs wrapped around him and I let out a surprised laugh. “Being the green ninja means I get a few extra perks, like Cole’s super strength, meaning you don’t weigh anything to me.” He said and my eyes widened.
“That’s how you left my thighs bruised black.” Lloyd cringed at the reminder.
“I’ve not done that since, have I?” He asked and shook my head, kissing him.
“No, I don’t mind, however you do bite.” I said and tilted my neck to expose the bite a little.
“I don’t know where that came from. I think I tried to give you a hickey?” He questioned himself and I laughed.
“With teeth?!” I questioned and he threw me on his bed. He had a double bed. I starfished immediately. “Oh we’re staying round yours from now on.” I said and heard him laugh.
“We’d get zero privacy.” He said and I sighed in relief.
“I don’t care. This bed has made me forget how upset I am right now… that and I want to hear about your mommy issues.” I said and felt the bed dip, he grabbed my ankle and dragged me down the bed. I laughed as I settled in the new position. Putting my legs in his lap. He rested on arm on them, massaging my leg with his thumb.
“Peach… I don’t want to make this about me.” Lloyd said and I frowned.
“Maybe not, but I want to. So speak green boy. Tell me about your life before I leave.” I said and he grinned, amused.
“I realise how much you’re taking in right now, so I’ll give you the summary and we’ll delve into the specifics later.” He said and I nodded. “When I was 10, I left my boarding school and started some trouble here and there, the others had just started their training and were overly cocky and fed up of being called out to deal with ‘Garmadon’ and it being me.” He started and I frowned.
“You started trouble?” I asked, perplexed and he nodded.
“I was a wild kid, wanted to be just like my Dad. Except I was homeless and had no actual power to my name.” Lloyd said and my eyes widened.
“You were homeless?!” I asked and he nodded.
“For like a year before I was forcefully taken in by my Uncle.” He explained and my eyes saddened. “And that was only because my deviance had excelled to releasing the serpentine.” Lloyd told me and my jaw dropped.
“That was you?!” I questioned and he nodded.
“I thought it would somehow make my father proud enough to take me in. But he didn’t even know I was alive. And I was kicked out by each tribe until I met Pythor who I thought was my friend but he just wanted my serpentine tombs map and he deceived me and then tried to push me off the top of my boarding school but he had to run away before he could actually get me far enough to the edge. That’s when my uncle took me in and taught me to never trust a snake.” Lloyd told me and I smiled.
“Hey, I learnt that lesson too! Except it was on my own and with a bitch called Alabama.” I said and he chuckled. “I still don’t forgive that snake.” I said and he rubbed my leg.
“I don’t forgive Pythor either. I was just a kid. A bad one but nonetheless.” He said and I absentmindedly started playing with the hem of his t-shirt. “Then I got kidnapped by him, and my uncle had to go to the underworld to find my Dad to get his help in getting me back. My Dad tried to rip my Uncle’s throat out for knowing about my existence, and the fact I was alone and how he left me there. My Dad still says that my uncle either should’ve brought me to the underworld when my mother left me or took him in himself. Anyway, he saved me and I met him for the first time. It was weirdly emotional, for him at least, I felt nothing which still surprises me. It just wasn’t what I expected.” He told me and I nodded.
“It sounds like your father loves you a lot. Dare I say unconditionally?” I added and he smiled.
“He loves power more.” Lloyd added and my smile fell. “It’s okay, I know what to expect from my father. He came for me, that’s all that matters. A little while later, we go to find a fangblade and it’s in a volcano. Short story short, it starts erupting and Kai achieves his true potential saving me because somehow he realised that it was to protect me and therefore the green ninja. And I know you don’t know the prophecy of the green ninja, but it is the one destined to defeat darkness and bring back light. That darkness being my father. I have to fight and defeat my father in what’s called ‘the final battle’.” My eyes widened, and I sat up.
“You have to fight him?!” I almost yelled and he nodded, soothing me by patting my leg.
“That didn’t really settle well with my father and he left, the whole thing has sent him into a spiral really. Pythor managed to resurrect the great devourer, the one thing my Dad hates more than himself, and Wu. The ninjas gave up their golden weapons to my Dad so he could kill the devourer. He then took off with them after, creating that mega weapon which the ninjas somehow destroyed, that day is a blur really. Before that however, he used it resurrect the grundle. Which led to aging me to adulthood. The tea is supposed to somehow bring someone to the age that fate needs them to be. The grundle wasn’t needed and me, I’m supposed to be fate’s soldier. And children aren’t very successful in fights.” Lloyd said and I just looked up at him for a moment before jumping up and hugging him. He returned the hug, shifting me to actually be sat in his lap.
“I’m sorry.” I apologised and he shook his head.
“Don’t be. You have nothing to be sorry for.” Lloyd told me and I shook my head.
“Maybe not, but everyone else does. You’ve had the shittiest life I’ve ever heard of, and you haven’t even heard what Pearl’s been through.” I joked and he chuckled, kissing my cheek before holding me again. I held the back of his head and played with his hair and he rested the side of his head on mine.
“It’s not so bad. I have you now.” He said and that made me break, sobbing into his arms.
“That’s so sad.” I said and he laughed.
“Not to me.” Lloyd argued and I shook my head. “Hey, don’t cry over me, that’s a waste. Cry over your own shitty backstory not mine.” He told me and I giggled through my sobs.
“It’s not that shitty though! I was just neglected with a heavy handed sprinkle of bullying, you were actually homeless!” I argued and he shook his head.
“No, yours is so much worse. My mother actually tried speaking to me.” Lloyd said and I smiled.
“You sure that’s better than mine not?” I asked and he contemplated it for a moment.
“Yeah, I win. My life is worse than yours.” He said and chucked me onto the bed, off his lap. I laughed as he stood up.
“Okay, I can accept that loss.” I said and heard him laugh before suddenly he was next to me, laying down and star fishing, half over my body. I groaned at the sudden weight. “You’re so big, you need a whole bigass bed just to fit-.” I said and I saw the smirk come across his face and before I could take it back-
“That’s what you said-“
“Shut up- shut up-“ I covered his mouth and he laughed against my hand before licking it. I brought my hand back.
“Ew, Lloyd!” I said and his eyes snapped open.
“Wait licking your hand is gross but now-“
“Shut up! Someone could hear you-“ I said and he shrugged.
“My family has super hearing, my uncle definitely heard us fucking before he knocked on the door. He probably waited until we were out the shower to knock-“
“Oh my god! Are you serious?!” I asked and he nodded but shrugged a moment later.
“My uncle and Dad are really old. They were around during the times people used to fuck publicly like it was nothing.” Lloyd said and my jaw dropped. He started laughing and I shoved him.
“Not funny!” I scolded but he didn’t care.
“Okay! Okay! I’m sorry. But they are really old. I think my Dad is around 1300 years old.” Lloyd said and I froze.
“How old?!” I asked again and he nodded.
“Well my grandfather is the first spinjitsu master so it makes sense.” I stared at him momentarily.
“I think I’m going to be sick.” I said and he laughed.

Peach fell asleep as soon as they spent 5 minutes in silence. Lloyd had listened as her heartbeat slowed and her breathing evened out. They had thrown his covers over them both and spent some time just resting in each other’s arms. It was getting late and he hadn’t spoke to his team since the museum. And he was hungry. He had the appetite of a dragon and he can’t remember the last time he ever felt full. So carefully, he got out the bed. Freezing as Y/n turned whined and then turned over, displeased. He breathed a sigh of relief when she settled back and quietly left his room. His footsteps didn’t make any sound anyway.
The halls of the monastery were simple, but elegant. The monks had spent the past millennia carving prophecies and teachings into the walls, making a beautiful architecture as the heads went on. When Lloyd made it to the kitchen, everyone was there. They all paused to look at him and he stopped for a moment before walking over to a cabinet. He hadn’t noticed his mother sat at the table, initially.
“Are you going to explain to us who that girl is or?” Cole asked, breaking the silence and Lloyd looked up, debating whether to say anything.
“That’s my girlfriend, her name is Peach.” He said and the table shot up in uproar.
“Girlfriend?! When?!” Kai immediately whined.
“How long have you even been seeing her?!” Nya asked, outraged she wasn’t the first to know.
“Before me??” Cole’s grating voice.
“It wasn’t just a hook up?!” Jay asked, perplexed.
“That’s where you’ve been?!” Cole’s voice again.
“I have no records of someone named Peach in the residents of ninjago records.” Zane was the last straw.
“Yes! I have a girlfriend! And her actual name isn’t Peach but she’s got powers too, they’re not elemental and really unpredictable. We call it glitching. As you’ve seen. We think they’re triggered by certain emotional triggers. Her name is apparently one of them.” Lloyd told them and it did not satisfy them at all.
“She lodged that thing in the ground! It’s still there!” Jay yelled and Lloyd nodded.
“We haven’t spoke about that yet so don’t bring it up please.” Lloyd said and they all froze. He was different.
“Congratulations, nephew.” Wu said and Lloyd looked up at him. “I’m sure you 5 have probably connected that this girl is the reason for Lloyd’s sudden excelling in training and skills. Love sharpens the mind, and makes the body more defensive.” Wu said and Lloyd’s eyes widened.
“Woah- not there yet!” He said and moved to take his snacks away from his eager Uncle.
“We may live for long, but we fall in love quick. Your mother would be able to attend to this.” Wu said and Lloyd’s eyes sharpened.
“So would Dad, y’know, until he found out he had a son he didn’t know about.” Lloyd said Misako’s face fell.
“Your father spoke of me?” She asked and Lloyd smiled.
“Oh yeah lots!” He said and she smiled back at him. “Lots of unforgiving, hateful things.” Her face fell again. “I haven’t heard him mention you with a positive tone since he asked me where my mother was!” Lloyd said and the atmosphere soured, dangerously.
“Lloyd.” Wu warned.
“Don’t pretend to care about me.” Lloyd said instead of acknowledging his Uncle. “I don’t need you.” He added and walked out the kitchen.
“He’s really upset.” He heard Nya say.
“Can you blame him? Kid was abandoned multiple times.” Cole.
“Lloyd! Wait up!” He didn’t, but Kai caught up anyway. “Talk to me, dude.” He said but Lloyd only looked at him. “C’mon, we used to talk about everything! I even used to read you to sleep when you first moved in.” Kai reminded and Lloyd smiled a little. “I mean- you got a girlfriend?!” Kai said, with a smile. It made Lloyd willingly open his door wider to reveal the lump under his covers. Hair just visible.
“I did.” He said, Kai smiled looking in as Lloyd rested on the door frame.
“I can’t believe you scored Peach.” He said and Lloyd laughed before nodding.
“I was there when you came over the over day.” Lloyd revealed and Kai paled a little. “She said you are a massive dick.” Lloyd added and Kai laughed.
“Are or have one- because she has walked in on me and Pearl-“ Lloyd shoved him and he laughed.
“Are. And she’s right.” Lloyd added and Kai smiled. “Come in, I don’t want those weirdos listening in on us.” Lloyd said and a faint ‘hey’ from Jay was heard. Kai nodded, at Lloyd’s point being proved. It was soon followed by ‘blabber mouth’ from Cole.
With the door closed, Lloyd sat on the end of his bed as Kai took residence on the floor.
“She won’t mind?” Kai asked and Lloyd shook his head.
“The only thing she’ll mind at the moment is an alarm.” Lloyd said and Kai chuckled. “You awake, Peaches?” Lloyd asked and shook the lump who groaned and aggressively pulled the covers around herself more. “See?” Lloyd said and Kai’s eyes widened. “Do you mind if Kai stays in here?!” Lloyd practically yelled and the lump only whined, shoved him away from her and turned on her side to avoid him. “Not a care in the world.” Lloyd concluded and Kai nodded.
“Oh my god.” Kai said, perplexed and Lloyd smirked. They talked for a solid hour before the lump suddenly shot up and collapsed into Lloyd.
“I can’t sleep without cuddling something.” I said and I heard two voices chuckle. How did it take me this long to realise someone else was in the room? I looked up to see Kai and I turned to Lloyd.
“I told you, no privacy.” He said and I shrugged, settling down.
“Shame, I was going to give you the head of your life.” I shut my eyes, as my head rested comfortably on his thigh, facing away from Kai and towards his stomach.
“Get out.” I heard Lloyd say, most serious I’ve ever heard him. I laughed and so did Kai.
“What time is it?” I asked.
“Late. You slept most the afternoon away, Peaches.” Lloyd told me and I nodded slightly.
“Is Kai still here?” I asked and Lloyd nodded.
“I asked him to leave.” Lloyd said and I sighed.
“You didn’t ask, you ordered.” Kai argued.
“I told him to leave.” Lloyd said, instead and I laughed. Brothers, definitely.
“No head then.” I said and watched as Lloyd glared at Kai.
“Can you even move, Peach?” Kai asked and I didn’t move.
“I’m gonna pass out again.” I said instead and soon surrendered to sleep again.
“You just cock-blocked me so hard!” Lloyd said and Kai shrugged.
“You’ve cock-blocked me so many time, I don’t care.” It was true. The other ninjas used to send him to knock on Kai’s door whenever they knew Kai was having phone sex or make him tell Kai he was meant to babysit him when he was about to go hook up with someone and then his hookup would start talking about how cute his younger brother was.
“Not my fault.” Lloyd defended.
“You did it for a price.” Kai counter-argued and Lloyd shrugged.

I woke up to no Lloyd. I was in his bed but no him. I sighed and sat up. How did I feel so tired? And hungry. What do I do until Lloyd comes back? Stay here? I stood up and looked around the room. He had his own bathroom. Good. I stretched in the middle of his room. The t-shirt he had put on me before I fell asleep rose slightly above my ass, exposing the skin and the fact I had nothing on my lower half. I shoved my trousers from yesterday on, keeping his shirt though. I pulled my bra on, clipping the back before listening with my ear against the door to try and hear if anyone was outside. I noticed my phone was on charge and his was next to it. Good, that meant he hadn’t left. I checked it. No messages. The usual. 8:07am. What the hell? I thought it was like 1pm with how I felt and how everything looked. Where the hell did Lloyd have to go at 8pm?
I slowly opened Lloyd’s door and peeked out it, taking one look down the long hallway. I took a deep breath. It’s a long hallway. How big is this place? I didn’t really get a good look at it. It was already bigger than any home I’d been in before. That’s when I made myself pause. This wasn’t a house. It was a monastery. That meant other people lived here, specifically monks. It was also owned and used by Lloyd’s uncle whose father is the first spinjitsu master. That meant that this wasn’t a normal monastery and in fact it was dedicated to ninjitsu and the first spinjitsu master’s techniques and teachings. It was also evident in the engravings and painting in the walls and supporting poles of the building. I didn’t even realise how far I’d walked when looking at the decor until I was staring into a kitchen. Empty. Thank god. I was really hungry. I can’t just take their food though. That would be extremely rude. Unless I just took Lloyd’s food. I bet they all share though. I’ll wait. I’m starving though. My throat is dry. Having some water isn’t rude, is it? Where the hell are the cups? It’s rude to snoop. Why is etiquette so hard? I’ll suffer. I’d rather suffer than be asked the condensing question of ‘what are you doing?’ Before I could leave, a voice made me jump.
“Not hungry?” An older woman’s voice. I frowned as I turned to see her. Her hair was in a singular grey braid. This is the woman I saw with Lloyd before. In the room with the hole. This is his mother. The woman who abandoned him.
“No.” I lied. My stomach stayed quiet. “Just trying to make my way around.” I said and she smiled.
“In Misako, Lloyd’s mother.” She introduced herself and I nodded.
“Peach, Lloyd’s girlfriend.” I said and Misako’s smile didn’t falter.
“Do you mind giving me your real name?” She asked and I nodded.
“I do mind.” I said, finally smiling back. “If I wanted you to know it, I would’ve said it.” I turned on my heel and went to walk out.
“I understand you’ve only heard about me through Lloyd and he is very upset.” Misako started and I rolled my eyes, turning around again.
“Rightfully so.” I said and she just nodded.
“But it was to try and find a way around the final battle- see, I knew from his birth that he would be the green ninja. So I left him at that school to do everything I could to try and stop it.” She said and I narrowed my eyes.
“I’m not following.” I said and Misako sighed.
“I had to try to put a stop to all this.” Misako said and I nodded.
“No, I got that- I just don’t get why you’re telling me and not Lloyd why you left him.” I said and she came a little closer.
“I tried, he didn’t want to hear it.” Misako said and I ‘oh’d’.
“And you want me to try and talk to him?” I asked and she smiled.
“You are in his prophecies, helping him in any way.” That freaked me out. “You have to start playing your part.” She told me and now I was annoyed. Lloyd did not inherit a thing from this woman.
“Where is he, by the way?” I asked and Misako seemed to ease up, thank god. Except she was still sort of close to me.
“You think about him a lot, don’t you?” This felt creepy now. She reached out a hand to put on my shoulder and my arm glitched causing her hand to go through my body. When she retracted her hand and nodded to herself, I remained neutral. “He’s with the others and Wu in the dojo, training.” Misako said and I nodded.
“Okay. Thank you.” I said and sped out. I had no clue what was up with that woman but I was starting to think it was best Lloyd wasn’t raised by her. This whole place was weird and all the authoritative figures were eery and thoroughly made my skin crawl. Back down the long hallway I went, trying to ignore the fact Lloyd’s mother was apparently following me. She split into another room not long after and I thanked any spiritual being listening. I heard voices at one point and stopped at the open door. Actually none of these dojo rooms had doors. There I saw the 5 ninjas surrounding Lloyd who blindfolded.
“Don’t rely on your eyes, use your ears.” Earth said and they all suddenly drew their weapons and charged at Lloyd. I watched in silence as they fought. Lloyd expertly dodging and even disarming them at some points. It wasn’t until the blue one flew past me, into the hallway and onto the floor was I noticed.
“Oh, hey… I’m Jay by the way.” He said and raised his hand from where he was laying on the floor, I shook it and smiled. He was ginger and had a mass of freckles populating his skin that wasn’t as pale as expected from a ginger.
“Peach.” I said and he smiled.
“Nice to meet you!” Jay stood and nodded before jumping back in the fight. I watched as Lloyd wore them down and worked on not exhausting himself before lighting up his green elemental fire which apparently signalled that he had won or the fight was over? I don’t know. However, I tried not to jump when he suddenly turned to me. Sythe in hand and smirked.
“Hey Peaches.” Lloyd said and I tried not to give too physical a reaction. And he have to sound so smug.
“Good morning.” I said and he chuckled.
“Feels like mid afternoon with how early we got up.” Kai said, from where he was sitting on the floor.
“I hate to tell you, Peach, but I don’t think training is over yet so I can’t see you until Cole tells me I can take this off.” Lloyd said and I laughed.
“Shame, I woke up hotter than I was yesterday.” I told him and he whipped around to the others.
“Bro I could not care less-! Just use your stamina on something other than us at the moment! Got I hate not having my powers!” ‘Cole’ vented and I nodded. Lloyd bent his head down and I untied the blind fold. He let his eyes adjust before looking me over.
“Wow, you did.” He said and I shoved him.
“Lloyd has game. Who would’ve thought? Not me.” Kai said and before anyone could retaliate. The ground shook violently and Kai shot up. “I’m sorry, I won’t diss your grandson again!” Kai pleaded and I looked to Lloyd confused.
“That’s not my Grandad, he likes thunder. That’s an actual earthquake.” Lloyd said and I frowned.
“What the-?” I went to question but was shut up by another shake, more violent. Lloyd held on to me, instinctively and I held grabbed onto his arm.
“Okay, that’s not good.” Jay said and Cole smacked him.
“Thanks for stating the obvious!” He said, annoyed. How did Jay annoy him so easily? Lloyd rolled his eyes and turned on a TV I hadn’t even noticed was in here. That seemed dangerous. He sat on the floor and I joined him, following his lead as most the ninja were already on the floor due to exhaustion. The two elders came in not long after and started watching the news too.
“So it’s just earthquakes?” I asked after Gale went on about how the aftershocks were getting stronger.
“It’s never just earthquakes, there’s always something wanting to destroy ninjago behind it. Last time there were earthquakes, it was because the great devourer had become ninjago city’s new train service except the only way on was through the mouth and into its stomach.” Jay said and I nodded, quickly looking up at Lloyd who shook his head.
“What could it be then?” I asked and Lloyd shrugged.
“Anything from my father to a big evil dog a this rate.” He said and I smiled.
“Would’ve be surprised if it was Garmadon, we haven’t seen him for a while.” Kai said.
“He would never.” Misako said and I couldn’t hold back the frown. “Lloyd‘s father is evil, but he would never do anything to put his son in harm’s way.” She added and I looked up to Lloyd who took a deep breath, restraining himself.
“Misako’s right. He only tried to thwart his training. This is something else.” Wu said and Lloyd stood up, offering me a hand which I took as he lifted me up.
“But what is it?” Jay asked and it went quiet before Ice whistled and a bird came out of nowhere. I jumped at the sudden animal appearing.
“My friend. Be my eyes and ears in the streets from above.” He let the bird fly out the window and I stared up at Lloyd, confusion evident.
“Zane is a nindroid. That falcon is a robot.” He explained and I nodded.
“That’s really bad, we’ve gotta get out there and start helping people.” Cole said and I looked to Lloyd.
“Right.” Lloyd said and turned to me, I nodded.
“I think I need a time out anyway.” I said and Lloyd kissed me before pulling up the mask on his gi. “Do you want to go home?” He asked and I nodded. “Come on.”

My dorm building was gone. I just watched it crumble to the ground. There was dust everywhere. My eyes burned from the haze of it. The whole building just collapsed after a particular harsh quake. I was on the other side of the road. It came down like it was made out of sticks. What if someone was still in there? I felt sick. I was glad it was the holidays. My ears were ringing too. I only just recognised the crying and screaming from someone next to me. A girl, not even 13.
“My friend-! She was- I don’t know if she got out!” She said when I turned to her and I held her. “When did you speak to her?” I asked and she shook her head.
“Not even 10 minutes ago-!”
“What floor?” I asked and she took a deep breath.
“5th.” Shit.
“Maybe… come on. We’ll go look for her.” I told her and soldiered in to the haze of dust and fresh debris. “What’s her name?” I asked and the girl was still shaking.
“Kaliyah.” She said and I nodded, before yelling the name. I waited for a moment before nothing. I yelled again and the little girl followed.
“Wait- what’s your name?” I asked and she looked up at me.
“Fiona.” She said and I smiled.
“Peach, we’re gonna find your friend.” I said and Fiona smiled gratefully.
🪺. *. ⋆
The ninja had just successfully pulled a woman out essentially a growing sinkhole. All Cole could say was how annoying her dog was as he panted on the floor. In the haste. Everyone had forgotten he no longer had his super strength and was using his raw natural strength and muscle to haul the 5 of them and a woman to safety. Safe to say, his arms felt like they were just ripped off him. The woman had run off and now they were just stood, looking around at the damage as the quakes continued.
“These things keep coming with no warning!” Kai said, trying to remain on two stable feet.
“That’s it! A warning!” Misako said, pulling out a scroll from her satchel. “The scrolls said the earthquakes would be a warning. A warning for something far worse to come.” She finished and Jay immediately spoke up.
“Far worse? What could be far worse?” He asked.
“Misako? The indestructible stone warrior we fought yesterday, where did you find him?” Cole asked and Lloyd’s eyes widened.
“The one Peach put in the ground?!” He asked and Misako responded.
“He was buried under the city.” She told him.
“You don’t think there’s more do you?” Jay asked, worriedly.
“Be on guard ninja. We must be ready for whatever comes our way.” Wu said.
“Uh- Lloyd…” Kai said, and Lloyd turned to see what he was staring at. He followed Kai’s gaze to the TV screen in a shop broadcasting the news, and on it was a crumbled building. It was expected with the quakes. What wasn’t, was the sign of a particular school and the disturbing title under it.
‘Emmer’s boarding school dormitories first building to fall in unexpected earthquakes, deaths and injuries unknown.’
“Shit- I gotta go-!” Lloyd said and started running.
“Go where?!” Jay yelled after him but Kai stopped him.
“Peach’s home has just been destroyed.” Kai filled in and Jay’s eyes widened from behind the mask.
🪺. *. ⋆
I had nothing. Literally nothing. It was all gone now. What the fuck? What do I do? The only thing I could do right now was look for this little girl.
“Kaliyah! Kali-“ I paused at the sound of a sob. It sounded breathless and strained. “Kaliyah?!” I asked again and I heard it, more urgent. I looked around in the direction I heard it and saw a little leg peeling out under some rumble. I gasped and immediately started lifting the bit of rubble on top of her. “Fiona-! I found her-!” I said and heard the girl yell and head my way. I used all my strength to get the first piece of rubble off and the desperate, immediate breath that the girl took broke my heart. She was bloodied and it took all my strength to not cry at the sight. Instead I worked and dislodging the debris that had trapped her arm.
“Kaliyah! Kal-!” Fiona yelled and held the other girl’s hand.
“Help me lift her up.” I said and Fiona helped me position her better in my arms as I was forced to carry her bridal style. “Call an ambulance, now!” I said and Fiona immediately pulled her phone out. “She’s barely breathing- it must’ve crushed her lungs..” I murmured to myself and set the girl down on the flat ground near the road. Another quake came rattling through the ground and I watched as the school itself came crashing down this time. “Cover your eyes!” I yelled and Fiona, even with being on the phone dropped to ground and covered herself. I used my own body to shield Kaliyah’s and thanks to Ninjago city’s top tier healthcare, we had no idea when this ambulance would turn up. Especially with the emergency currently happening. I felt as the cloud of dust and debris came rushing over us, fiercely. I fully covered the little girl and prayed she lived to not remember this and have a happy life. I opened my eyes to check on Fiona when an ember flew in my eyes and I cried out. It stung and I couldn’t open my eye as it burned through the socket. It probably didn’t but it felt like it. I heard sirens and silently thanked the gods above.
I felt numb as they took the girl away, I told Fiona to go with them. She was unsure but I nodded. It didn’t matter about me being alone and having nowhere to go because Lloyd appeared and rushed over to me. Immediately checking me over. I was probably covered in dust and debris and the odd cut.
“What the hell happened?!” He asked and I shrugged.
“My school and dorm collapsed and I just dug out a 12yr old from some rubble and had to dislodge part of a radiator from her arm so her lungs wouldn’t be considerably crushed. Oh by the way! I have nothing and am currently homeless.” I said and he shook his head.
“No you’re not… come live with me.” He said and I nodded.
“Can’t believe we’re already moving in together… can’t believe I almost died.” I said and he held me tighter.
“You’re safe now, okay?” He said and I just leant on him. “Peach? Y/n?” He asked when I didn’t respond and I just smiled.
“I think I’m gonna pass out…” I said and he shook his head and bent his head down to look at me.
“No, you’re not… not atleast until we’re out of here. Buildings keep falling around here.” Lloyd said and I smiled.
“Tell me about it.” I joked and he shook his head.
“C’mon… the stone warriors are going to be attacking soon- well they already are but more.” He told me and I frowned.
“The who?” I asked and Lloyd grabbed my hand, leading me back to ninjago city.
“Y’know that big live statue from yesterday?” He told me and my face dropped.
“And you’re taking me to it?!” I almost screeched.
“No! Everyone is being evacuated to the top of the news tower and then we’re going to use the bounty to evacuate as many as we can.” He added and I frowned.
“The bounty?! Lloyd- what’s going on?!” I asked and he didn’t stop running but briefly looked at me.
“We think the final battle is starting. The earthquakes are meant to be a warning according to my mother.” Lloyd said and I looked up at him.
“What the fuck…?” I questioned.
“My thoughts exactly.”

★ --;; It starts while he's at work.
Vash doesn't mind busy hands; keeping himself endlessly occupied is something he doesn't think he'll ever become unaccustomed to, a crutch that he'll ever stop leaning on. It keeps him from latching onto thoughts he probably shouldn't and helps him keep a barrier between him and thoughts he probably should sit with, but nonetheless scampers away from. So the steadily increasing demand for flowers and bouquets and their subsequent deliveries hardly phases him; he takes it in stride, the ring on his finger slipped onto a chain to hang beneath his shirt in the interim.
Regardless of how long or how many times Vash has found himself in this city, he'd not once had anyone to spend the upcoming holiday with-- never mind the air of generality it held. Keeping others at arm's length is a talent of his, yet another old friend to fall back on, friendly to a point but no more. The decorations slowly going up around the city had been, for once, something to be quietly excited for.
The bustle makes it even more likely for Vash to skip out on his breaks, swearing up and down he doesn't need them. Eventually someone manages to corral him into taking one-- though his tactics clearly aren't that well known by others, if there are still so many openings for his slippery tendencies to take advantage of.
But there are sweets left out and up for grabs, so when another piece goes missing at the same time as he does from the back room no one bats an eye. It melts on his tongue as he dips out with another delivery cradled in his arms and a frustrated sigh from the current manager as they catch sight of him disappearing around the corner.
That same buzzing energy that's been carrying him through the day suddenly doesn't feel so good five minutes later, though. Worse at ten, and by the time he's finished making the delivery with a plastered on smile and on the way back it's dug its way into his bones, into his gut, needles instead of pleasant sparks.
His hands are empty, feet on autopilot, and he very desperately wishes he was back in the too-crowded storefront. The metal around his neck suddenly feels more like a white hot brand.
Even though he doesn't have to, Vash stays till closing, insisting on flitting about until he's all but kicked out.
He can't go home right now. Not when he's as see through as wet rice paper. Lying feels like a rock lodged in his stomach, especially like this-- but Vash also knows his voice would give him away in an instant.
[ text ] hey, im gonna be late! [ text ] got invited for a few drinks
Instead, heavy soles start carrying him as they have done for decades now when he hasn't known what to do-- away from the problem.

life update
Tumblr media
It's been a busy couple of months, so I thought I'd give a bit of an update. Things are hopefully going to slow down for a little while before they speed back up for the holidays. Cats: Okay for the most part. Vincent appears to have lost more teeth, so we're keeping an eye on him. He doesn't seem to be slowing down, though. Health: I have a root canal scheduled for later this month. I also need to find a regular dentist again. Otherwise, I've been getting out for walks more with the better weather, so that's been good. I'm starting my DBT life skills group this Wednesday per my therapist's recommendation. I'll be changing providers in January, so fingers crossed I can get a referral for a neuropsych eval for autism and ADHD along with a better med manager and/or psychologist. Job: Mine still sucks, but I'm doing something about it. I got my loans out of default, and I was able to file the FAFSA. Now, I just need to apply to schools for a Masters program in library science, and I have four in mind. Husband is actively looking for another job as well. Other: My sister got married last week, which is what was keeping me majorly occupied for a while in regards to planning and mental energy. So, that was exciting! We also got to do other things surrounding that wedding, never mind going to a concert the week before due to winning a raffle. Writing: I have no interest in RPing for the foreseeable future. It's like someone flicked a switch in my brain, and now I don't want to write for any of my characters. Maybe that will change. Maybe that won't. I'm taking things a day at a time. I still don't feel like posting my poetry on tumblr either. Not logging onto this website has been great, honestly. That's been it. If you want to keep in touch, you can find me on disco: 209843601356750852. Apparently, that's how the IDs work now. You can also search for FateDefied. See you around! Hope you all are well!

BIOGRAPHY
(tw: childhood cancer, hospitalization)
No one knows or loves a good time like the Cortes family. Even when it was just the Cortes parents, Mateo and Linda-Mae, before they were parents, every dwelling they occupied was the life of the neighborhood. Aurelia was born in ‘93, followed by her sister Marisol in ‘95, and the party just kept going. Things were hard outside their four cozy walls – heck, they owned a barbecue stand and catering company, two of the most risky business ventures an entrepreneur can undergo. But they never let it impact their life at home.
Then Marisol got sick. The sweetest kid in the entire world, and there wasn’t anything Aurelia could do but watch from the sidelines. One day, something just clicked inside her. She brought all two dozen of her Barbies and GI Joes to Marisol’s hospital bed, and put on the musical theatre production of a lifetime. No longer would she sit idly by and let her sister go through it alone. Aurelia was a clown, a comedian, an entertainer, a storyteller, and anything else she could think of to get a laugh out of her.
Even after Marisol went into remission in ‘07 and Aurelia’s life became more about herself than her sister, she hung onto that deeply extra personality. After spending the majority of the last four years cooped up, she overcorrected and went full speed ahead into a wild phase she never grew out of. At first it was just sneaking out of the house, sneaking into concerts, sneaking a cheeky klepto treasure every now and then, but as she grew older, the petty rebellions just weren’t enough. It had never been about rebelling against her parents and had always been about making the most out of every moment she was lucky enough to have.
College opened all new kinds of doors for our adrenaline junkie, and when she got into UCLA, it seemed she was destined for a truly legendary four years. The prophecy was fulfilled and she left college with a degree (somehow, she’s still not sure), four years worth of insane memories, and all the skills and experience necessary to start planning genuinely extravagant parties in the city. After planning one of her friends’ wedding with the help of her college best friend, a Mellott Beach native who introduced her to the town, she was sure there wasn’t any party they couldn’t handle.
Now, seven years later, business is booming and Aurelia is still in love with the thrill of the hustle. Don’t get her wrong, Aurelia still finds time to spend holidays with family, take vacations with friends, and devote a lavish amount of time to self-care. But after going going going for so long, the hustle was starting to take its toll. Moving to Mellott Beach was a much needed change of pace. The drive to the city was still doable (an hour commute is nothing in Los Angeles), but relaxing her shoulders and just being able to breathe made the burnout that had once been inevitable drift further and further away.
Turn’s out, there’s more than enough adventure in Mellott Beach to keep Aurelia on her toes. And that’s what she calls the best of both worlds.
CONNECTION IDEAS

heat wave
this past week was pretty socially busy. on tuesday, S came over to work out. i felt better about the whole moving thing after chatting with her, like i got her blessing to move and confirmation that we'll keep in touch/visit each other. i hope we will still remain close but she seems to be getting busier and busier as she takes on more private practice clients. shortly after this, R and her friend randomly asked if they could come up to use our restroom since they were in the area. i said sure and we got to chat for a bit LOL.
that same night, i met up with A, S, and LW for a comedy show. it was a bit awkward because A was the most excited about coming out (an excuse to get away from mommy duties during the weeknight) and everyone else was kinda meh. we initially planned to meet at 7, but ended up meeting around 7:45pm, right before the start of the show. it was actually nice to all meet up again, despite my nerves. felt like a full circle, since this group was my initial friend group in NYC.
on juneteenth wednesday, i invited new friend LG over to my place for lunch. i made miso mushroom spaghetti and we hung out for about two hours just chatting. we then walked over to the ceramics studio where i practiced for a bit before heading back home. i was pretty tired from the socializing and walking in the extreme heat. the studio was also more full than usual, i'm guessing due to the holiday and people wanting free AC.
i've been intentionally missing my sunday classes, and basically going into the studio on my own time. i prefer practicing when the room is emptier (not full like it usually is when class is in session). i'm socially awkward and i feel like my teacher doesn't like me or gravitate towards me. she's pretty hands off in general, but being there and kinda ignored in comparison to the other students makes me feel like it's not worth going. i officially signed up for another (and last) ceramics semester in brooklyn. it'll keep me occupied for july and aug before heading off to switzerland and moving back.
there has been a heat wave this past week or so. i've been lazy to move about, and been avoiding going out in the day time in general. it's kinda the reverse of the dead cold winters.
work: i don't know how i feel about the new girl A who is taking over my old position. it's been about a month now and she hasn't been much help and has still been working on trainings/gaining access. she also doesn't seem very eager to help out (in comparison to other new employees i've seen). we had a brief chat a few weeks ago on the phone, and i saved her number. this week, i texted her about something work related and included my name. her response was "i'm sorry, who is this?" *facepalm*
friends: this is pretty sad, but i was unfriended by B last week. it's the first time in my life that a "close friend" has ever done something like this. there has been drama surrounding her and her two sisters since her bachelorette and wedding last fall. because one of her sisters moved to NYC and the other one has visited, i would sometimes bring them up in conversation with B (i.e. i saw R/T recently for X, Y, Z). i wasn't sure if their fight was something temporary and they would eventually make up, but B emphasized that she wants to keep her sisters at a distance and asked that i stop mentioning them in conversation.
most importantly, i ended up breaking B's trust. she confided in me about her pregnancy and asked me not to tell anyone. i had kept it a secret until weeks after she told her parents. i had assumed that once the parents knew, it wouldn't be a secret within the family. and i assumed wrong, because me bringing it up to her sister R stirred up a lot of drama 😢. now, she probably sees me as siding with her sisters and it's easier to cut me off. just earlier this year, she also cut off her maid of honor/best friend for other reasons. i'm sorry for breaking her trust and wish her well.
leisure: matt went to jury duty 4x this week and they have been more or less ~6 hour days! it's so much better for quality time than the 12 hour days in a very stressful environment. we were finally able to chat more about the move, play overcooked 2 most nights (it's so fun!), watched some presumed innocent, and have ample sleep. last night, we attended our first concert together: odesza at MSG. it was a bit too loud and flashy for my taste but i enjoyed the experience more so as a one and done type of thing. it was the closest experience we've had to clubbing/partying out here.
logistics: tesla seems to have really bad customer service for such a huge company. it felt impossible for me to get in touch with anyone via phone, and they're not very responsive via the app or text. ugh. still trying to figure out the pick up thing. apartment searching has been tough, lol. we were considering just doing the easy thing and transferring to a different apartment within our current network, but the prices in pasadena are pretty outrageous. TBD.

Heartbeats; Paradise Chapter 8
Title: Heartbeats; Paradise
Author: Jay Grayson
Word Count: 112K
Genres: Psychological thriller, drama, sci-fi, LGBT+
Available on: Kobo and my website
Synopsis: Melvin Hardy and Kade Axel appear to be a match made in heaven. After a meet-cute in the rain, the two quickly find themselves in a burgeoning, wholesome relationship.
Yet, things feel…off. It isn’t the ghosts of their pasts that resurface to test the strength of their partnership—no—it’s something nebulous. Something indescribable. Melvin can’t put his finger on it but, the more time he spends with Kade, the more he starts to wonder what’s real and what’s pure fiction.
Full chapter 8 under the cut:
Chapter Eight:
That night sticks with me but not in the way most nights with Kade do. While I might usually think back on our sex while I work my boring office job, I’m now struggling to piece together what happened. In the moment, I went along with what felt right and what felt good but the longer I sit on it, the more frustrated I become.
I wanted to try something else and, for a brief moment, I could have sworn that I’d seen the same curiosity in my boyfriend’s eyes.
But he’d changed so suddenly.
Almost like…
“Hey buddy,” Hugo greets me in his customary manner. He’s also late, like usual, and stops by my cubicle before settling into his.
“Hey,” I respond without looking up.
“Something the matter?” he asks and pulls his chair over, sitting within view of me so we can keep talking.
“No. Just tired.” I don’t want to get into it with Hugo and part of me doubts he’ll understand my complaints anyway. Knowing him, he’ll just tell me to be grateful that I have such an attractive partner that wants to be with me. And he’d be right.
“Okay, cool. I’m getting to work.” Hugo scoots into his cubicle and I hear his fingers hitting the keyboard immediately.
I frown. That’s unlike him.
I, for once, am the one to push my chair out to stare into his space. He’s sitting straight up, staring at his screen, and diligently working.
My brow furrows and my frown deepens. “Are you feeling okay?”
He doesn’t even glance over his shoulder to look at me. He answers curtly, “Yeah. I’m working.”
I continue to watch him, waiting for some joke or comment about his winter break holiday. Something. Anything. But it never comes and I just sit there and watch the back of his head in dead silence.
I try to initiate conversation again. “Anything crazy happen this past week while we were out?”
“Nah,” Hugo says, typing away, “Shouldn’t you be catching up on e-mails, Mel? There’s a lot.”
It’s at least more than a short reply so I roll back to my desk with some level of satisfaction though it’s no less weird to me. I do take his advice and get to work—it’s all I can do to keep my mind off of everything.
Usually, Kade is occupying my every thought but, today, I’m a bit distracted. It’s got a lot to do with the fact Gladis is in town and we’ve agreed to meet up for lunch. I do wish she had picked a better time to come since my mind is already scattered as it is.
But, maybe, she’ll actually set my perspective back to where it needs to be.
I don’t see Gladis often since she lives out of town but her business brings her by every few years for about a month at a time—sometimes longer. In that time, we’ll meet, catch up, and chat for a little while.
Every meeting before now involved her making snide comments about the state of my love life (or lack thereof) but she won’t have much to criticize this time, I’m sure. She’s had plenty of lovers since me and she would frequently flaunt that fact but now I can boast that I have not simply found a run of the mill lover but the love of my life.
Something she knows nothing about.
The idea even makes me smile and look forward to my lunch break.
I say bye to Hugo who is still diligently working at his desk and I head straight to the Caramel café. My meet up isn’t there but across the street at a little restaurant I don’t think I’ve been to since it opened years ago. But Gladis has special dietary needs and its, apparently, the most accommodating place in town.
The menu is small and consists of, mainly, vegetables. Everything looks like it’ll taste bland but I settle on a dish before my date arrives. I order water for the both of us and have to assure the waiter that I am, in fact, expecting company.
At last, after twenty minutes of my precious break time, Gladis finally walks through the door. I stand to greet her and she pulls me into a hug.
It’s only after we part that I notice the toll age has taken on her. I spot a few more prominent wrinkles and her eye bags have darkened since last I saw her. She has her dark hair tied back behind her head in a bun like usual and a few streaks of gray can be seen throughout.
She’s wearing a fairly plain but no doubt pricey black dress but the large, shining necklace that rests on her collar bone steals the spotlight from her entire outfit. She always did like a statement piece and it goes a long way to show how well off she is—a bonus, she swears, and not at all the point.
I pull her seat out for her and wait until she is settled before sitting across from her. Our waiter comes back over and, after taking our order, leaves us so that we can talk about how the last year has treated us.
Gladis is animated about her two new boyfriends, each younger than the last but at least they are college students now. She helps them pay for tuition and even brings them along to her fancy dinners for work. Her stories evoke far away memories of those balls and long, dark nights.
I keep a smile on my face and wait until it’s my turn to tell her about the great change in my life. Yet, when I speak about Kade, Gladis looks uninterested and then downright irate.
She won’t speak her mind on it either when I ask what her problem is. Her face twists into one of the fakest smiles I have ever seen as she says, “It’s nothing, dear. I’m happy for you.”
I’m guarded for the rest of the lunch and I don’t tell her any unnecessary details though she pries for sex stories when she realizes that we’re sleeping together. All I tell her is that it’s not dirty like her sex. We have no need for all that.
We’re better.
And I truly believe that and I keep that close to my heart as I walk home for the day. My date with Gladis didn’t straighten me up in the way I expected it to but it did help. I’m no longer put out by the other night and I can’t wait to have Kade in my arms again.
What we have is perfect the way it is and Gladis, while it was unintentional, taught me that.
Kade greets me as I walk into the entryway of my apartment but he does not say hello nor does he leap into my arms nor kiss me. He stares at me like he has terrible news and I’m not sure I can take it if that’s the case. My day has been unusually stressful enough as it is.
I kick off my shoes and approach him, reaching out to grab his hands so that I can get my evening kiss. But he steps away.
My face twists and I feel a clamp around my heart, squeezing already. “What’s the matter?”
“You know what’s the matter,” Kade snaps, taking a tone I’ve never heard before. It’s sharp and it hurts.
I don’t know what to say. “Kade…I don’t…”
“Starla saw you.”
My confusion doubles. What does Starla have to do with anything?
Kade shakes his head and then bursts out the answer, his words coated in venom, “She saw you with some woman! Across from the café! You kissed her!”
“What?!” The pieces come together at last as I realize that Starla must have seen us from the window. But she mistook what she saw. “That was my ex. We hugged but we certainly didn’t kiss.”
“Your EX?!” Kade explodes. I should have expected that might set him off—he’s almost as jealous as I am.
“We’re just friends now,” I attempt to explain, “I see her every time she comes to town. We just meet up and talk—that’s it.”
Kade seethes and slaps his hand against his chest as he yells, “You didn’t think to tell me before you went?! What am I supposed to think?!”
Honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t tell him. It seems like common sense and I wasn’t trying to hide it but that one small, important step just slipped past me.
I take a deep breath and prepare to apologize. “Don’t be so immature,” I say instead. That’s not right. I try to apologize again, “I can’t have friends?!”
“You are such a jerk,” Kade mutters and stomps toward the door.
I don’t stop him—I’m afraid to open my mouth again. I don’t know what will come out.
The door slams after him and I stare at the empty space where Kade once stood. I’m legitimately confused and I can’t get a handle on my thoughts.
Why did I say those things? I don’t mean them and I didn’t in the moment either. I remove my glasses and pinch the bridge of my nose, fighting an oncoming headache.
I’m sure Kade is just running to his sister’s condo for comfort or maybe to Bree or Nate’s place. I’ll get a text after a time from one of them, reprimanding me for my harsh words but, ultimately, asking for me to come and get Kade. We haven’t had a fight like this but I can see the pattern clearly already.
I pour myself a drink and sit on my couch, sipping occasionally and allowing my mind to go blank. It’s easier than I expect and I zone out, staring at the wall and barely enjoying the warm buzz that swims through my body.
But I can only do nothing for so long. Especially when no one is getting in touch with me.
It hasn’t really been that long but the concern is beginning to eat at me. So I call Starla, figuring she’s the most likely candidate for Kade to run off to.
“Melvin? What are you calling me for?” she answers with a certain degree of irritation.
“Look, I know you thought you saw something between me and Gladis but we’re just friends. I tried to tell Kade but he left as I’m sure you know.”
“…What do you mean?”
I pause and then ask, “Is Kade not there with you?”
“No,” she says promptly, “He’s not with you?”
My heart starts to beat faster. “I’ll call you back,” I say and hang up.
I text both Bree and Nate and I watch the screen with a piercing impatience. It’s only a minute but it feels like forever before Bree texts me back. “Meet me at Nate’s job.”
A relieved sigh passes my lips and I rush out, grabbing my car keys to make sure I get there as quickly as possible. The drink I sipped at earlier is all but out of my system and I feel a cold soberness in place of that brief, warm buzz. The only fear I have in driving is that I will speed and drive too recklessly in my need to find Kade.
The ice cream shop seems to be the only store open on the strip but it is still void of customers. It is quite cold and late—not exactly ice cream weather.
Nate is behind the register, collecting the money in preparation to close up the shop, while Bree leans against the surface of the counter with an expectant gaze pointed in my direction.
“Is he here?” I ask before she or Nate can say anything.
Both of them stare at me, neither very happy looking and I start to give up hope prematurely.
Nate goes first, “I haven’t heard from him.”
Bree shakes her head, her bob bouncing with her. “Neither have I.”
My frustration rises to the forefront before anything else and my hands ball into fists at my sides. “Then why did you ask me to come here?!”
There is a silence that follows and Nate looks down while Bree rakes her teeth over her lower lip. “We were hoping to talk through it with you…to figure out where he might have gone,” she says after a moment.
That feels incredibly useless to me but I have no better suggestions. I sigh and let my shoulders drop. “Fine. You two have known him longer than I have anyway. Any ideas?”
“You called Starla, right?” Nate asks as he walks around to the front of the counter. He takes off his little paper hat and looks at me with something akin to a pout.
“Of course,” I snap, unintentionally. “She was the first person I called.”
The two exchange a glance and I can sense they’re worried too. That isn’t good news.
“Since he hasn’t texted either of us…” Bree trails off and then meets my eye, “I’m not sure.”
“Well that’s great,” I mutter, not bothering to hide my irritation.
Nate stares at his shoes and shrinks into himself but Bree frowns and steps closer to me. She places her hand on my hip, for a second, and I feel her slip something into my pocket. I don’t have time to ask about it before she’s talking again.
“We’ll let you know if we hear anything, alright? And let us know when you find him.”
I leave the shop and walk to my car which sits under a streetlamp, alone in the parking lot. My heart hammers and I retrieve the folded piece of paper that Bree passed to me.
I can’t imagine why she felt the need to do so—why she didn’t just say what she wanted in front of Nate. If it truly does have something to do with where Kade is, is it something she doesn’t feel comfortable letting him know? And, if so, why?
There are many more questions that come with her action but I focus on the contents of the paper instead of lingering on them. I unfold it and see, written in an unsteady scrawl, an address.

"I know you wouldn't drag me to see anything scary," she reasoned, already comfortable instilling a certain amount of trust in the fighter. "Oh, A Christmas Carol would be real festive—sounds like the perfect thing to get into the holiday spirit." The decision was an easy one, a bright smile overtaking her features at the prospect of spending more time together away from their comfortable bubble at the carnival. Blinking back at him in surprise at the frank statement about grades being unimportant, the blonde felt her animated expression soften to something more awestruck. She'd always wrestled with her lack of academic prowess, the way she'd struggled to learn even in a one-on-one setting with tutors (she could only imagine how doomed she might have been in a traditional classroom setting), so Seojun's impassioned defense on their behalf stirred something in the pit of her stomach. "People don't always value things like empathy or creativity, so that's awful sweet of you to say. And if 'quick with words' is another way to say I talk a lot, you've got me there." Looking down at her costume, thrown together with things that she already had in the depths of her closet, the former starlet felt her demeanor turn uncharacteristically bashful at his more sincere admission: that he wished more people were like her. "Thank you... truly. It's somethin' I work at, but that's very important to me. It's easy to retreat into yourself when things feel hopeless, you know? I don't want to do that ever again." Managing a shaky exhale following the unexpectedly tender admission, she gave his pinky a squeeze with her own before letting it go. "Deal. You'll have to show me those dance moves whenever you're ready," she agreed, grateful for the playful levity to lighten the mood.
"Not really. The good thing about daycare kids is they're way too young to be all that busy just yet. If anything, we have to try real hard to keep their attention," she replied, a light laugh falling from her lips. "Oh, my siblings and I were practically attached at the hip growin' up. My brother Dustin kept a close eye on us, so we were always together, but it was a really fun way to grow up, runnin' around different carnival grounds." Looking over at him curiously while Seojun collected his thoughts, she nodded with understanding at his reasoning. "Well, now I know why you're not a big fan of church. It's funny how some people use things like religion to hide their own ugliness, huh?" Valerie didn't like thinking that anyone had truly nefarious intentions in their hearts, wanting to see the best in others regardless of their circumstance, but experience had taught her that some people were beyond redemption. The only thing she could do with those individuals was to try and forget them. "Oh, don't worry. I'm not religious. My older brothers are both atheists, so I didn't grow up goin' to church. Me, I think I'm more spiritual than anything. But don't ever feel like you have to hold your tongue or police what you say around me. I like knowin' what goin' on in that head of yours," she teased gently, lightly jabbing an elbow into his side. "Hocus Pocus is a good one. Halloweentown is also a favorite of mine. I tend to like the 'family friendly' Halloween movies, more whimsical in nature and less... bloody," Valerie chuckled. At the sight of his bashful reaction to her words, a warm smile bloomed across her lips, endeared by the way her honesty seemed to take him by surprise. "You're welcome. I don't know if it means much comin' from me, but I really admire you for makin' such a big life change." And just as easily as the moment had morphed into something earnest, Val felt a flip in her stomach at the shift in Seojun's tone, occupying a casual, low cadence that she had never heard him speak in. "Uh-oh... do I need to keep an eye on you, Junie?" She meant for it to sound aloof, but there was a slight breathiness coming out of her mouth that she barely recognized. "This is technically a date, huh? Well, thank goodness you're on your best behavior, then," she attempted to recover, an easy laugh slipping past her lips.
"You think I'll stick out like a sore thumb at the club?" she wondered. A few years ago, the thought of standing out too much was enough to make her irrationally anxious, worried about the way she was being perceived by an imaginary audience. But that didn't bother her at all these days, more at home in her eccentricity than she ever had been in California. "Sounds like a plan! I'll have to drop by one of these days, see if you're really such a big deal behind the bar," she jested, unable to help the way her smile grew at the obvious pride he had in his skills, and his casual referral to her as "sunshine" certainly didn't help her jovial expression. "I could never find you annoying. You're sweet... even sweeter than a whole pitcher of this here lemonade, and don't you dare try to fight me on that," she warned, but there was no bite to her words, her delighted expression betraying the unfettered warmth she felt in his presence. "You have a point there. Just another reason you'll make a fine investigator some day. But I could say the same to you. I'm glad I've been able to get to know ya... I hope we can keep it up for a good long while," she replied. A laugh of her own bursting forth when he nearly choked on his lemonade, her eyes bugged out in concern. "Whoa—you okay there, sweetie?" she asked, letting out a breath of relief when he recovered quickly. "I'm just sayin', Southerners tend to get real defensive about their sweet tea. I'm not all that picky, though. I'll try most anything... but I do have a weakness for sweets."
Tumblr media
Seojun smiled brightly as she agreed to an eventual hang out at some kind of performance. "I'll search for something and let you know, a'right? Due the season there must be a bunch of thrillers and such," he hummed thoughtfully, "but I think I saw an ad for A Christmas Carol somewhere mid-November. Would you like that one?" Horror and gritty things were not her favorite, that was a given and while he loved a good jump scare, he could always drag Lou to watch things like that some other time. Seojun tilted his head curiously as she explained her own experience back at school while complimenting him at the same time. "Grades are fuckin' stupid," that was his immediate reaction with a little frown. "The fact that you are so empathetic and creative are such amazing and rare traits to have! I mean, have you looked at your outfits and how witty you are? You gotta be mad intelligent to dress so nicely and be so quick with the words just like you. Best employee at the daycare, I just know it." Seojun stated with a confident nod. "I wish people were more like you." A quieter, but still very sincere addition. Kindness did not come in large quantities and having someone like Valerie around reminded him that there was still some good in the world that was worth protecting. He extended his pinky and hooked it around hers. Smile everpresent. "I'll show ya what I got as soon as I become a little more than decent."
"You sound familiarized with it as well, got some busy kids at the daycare as well?" the fighter asked. "Did you spend a bunch of time with your siblings when you were younger?" At the mention of church, he stiffed for a second. No, he wasn't a fan, but always tried to play it cool, to be a good Christian, to be the same person his parents liked to flaunt about on Sundays. "Well... I've met people that use religion just to be an asshole, so..." he shrugged. "I believe one should just be a good person. Hurting others is just hurting yourself in the end and we should be nice not because a book tells us to, but because we actually care about others." Seojun opinionated before he realized he had potentially offended her if she was religious. "Uh... I didn't say something mean, did I? Should've asked first if you're religious. 'm sorry." He listened to her list of preferred genres and good thing he had saved the morbid jokes for the boys, otherwise he might've cracked up a joke or two that wouldn't have landed nicely. "When you say light-hearted Halloween movies... are we talking about Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus or...?" Oh, the serious look got him straightening up as she spoke truthful words that got him feeling a little bashful and he had to look away for a moment as a shy chuckle dropped from his lips. She was the first person to celebrate his career decision and some of the heaviness he had been feeling every since picking it, disappeared. Maybe it hadn't been the worst idea in the world as his parents and uncle had stated it. If at least one people thought he was doing the right thing, then maybe it was worth keep trying. "The positive reinforcement is nice. Thanks, Val," he spoke softly but earnestly. "Trouble?" there was a spark in his eyes, "oh, sweetheart, I can be trouble for sure — " there was a slight edge in his voice, a slower cadence typically used only for work and the occasional hookup " — but don't worry, I'll be nice. We're on a date after all." He added with a similar playful tone.
"It'd be great if you went to get a drink or two, actually. It can get too punk sometimes. Some glitter and pink would come in handy," Seojun grinned. "Yup! I'll even get you some non-alcoholic ones if you prefer those. We got some pretty sick drinks and these hands can do more than punching." He said proudly. He grabbed a glass of lemonade himself and took a sip, brown eyes going big at the flavor. "Hey, this thing is actually really good. Gotta get me the recipe for sure," he commented before taking a larger sip, tongue dancing against the top of his mouth to try and guess the ingredients. "You bet," Seojun replied obliviously to her words, "no good week without some sunshine even if it's through the screen. Hope you don't mind, but if I get too annoying feel free to ignore me". He agreed at her statement of kids not being that judgmental or easily scared. Seojun tried to be nice at all times with people; even with sass ready to shoot out from his lips, he would never scare a kid purposefully, still the intense eye contact he could hold while training or properly fighting on the arena had caused some awkward eye contact with people at the bleachers. "Well, wouldn't I be the worst investigator if I couldn't read people?" he joked, "on the contrary, thanks for lettin' me get to know ya. It's been really nice". He had to turn to the side for a moment, wrist up to his lips as he tried to keep the drink from spilling out due laughter about her unexpected gasp. "I am southern. But nobody is as southern as you!" Seojun defended himself after swallowing the pink liquid. "So what's something you don't drink or eat?"

Cuddly baby
Cuddling like this with Harry has been a dream of mine since i was like 13 years old 😔 he'd be sooo soft
Tumblr media
Word count: 1.3K
What is it: Harry comes back from work and wants needs a cuddle; almost no plot just fluff
YN shut the door behind her, taking a step to enter her and Harry’s home and turning the light’s switch on the side, the previously dark house lighting up in an instant, turning the dark and cold atmosphere into a cozy one.
She loved their home.
Growing up YN never really took part in decorating her childhood home, because it was her mum that bought furniture so she went with whatever her mum liked, and when she moved to London, she was a broke college student, so buying fancy furniture wasn’t exactly her priority.
When Harry had asked her to move in, his house was already decorated, and honestly, YN liked it as it was, but almost immediately, Harry made it clear that was also her house now, and he wanted her to be comfortable in his space, so he gave her his card and told her to buy everything she wanted.
YN didn’t really know where someone with Harry’s amount of money would go to shop for furniture, so she asked him if he was fine with IKEA and he had agreed, because he didn’t really care as long as she was happy.
When it came to Christmas decorating, though, it was a whole other deal.
Harry loved Christmas, and when YN asked him if he wanted her to take care of decorating alone — since he’d come back home on the 15th —, he got a little upset and whined like a baby for the entirety of their call, turning in his usual chatty self only after she’d told him she would wait for him and they’d go Christmas shopping together when he’d be back from Los Angeles.
So, when she walked in their shared living room, YN smiled happily at the sight in front of her, walking towards the Christmas tree to switch on its lights.
She then made her way upstairs, hurrying up the stairs, eager to remove her uncomfortable work clothes to wear something more comfortable.
She walked in her closet and took out one of Harry’s merch hoodie, which ran oversized on her and was honestly so comfy, pairing it with some sweats. YN never really understood people that don’t change immediately after coming home. She cringes at the mere thought of relaxing in jeans. She could never!
After a quick shower to warm her limbs, she changed in the clothes she’d picked out earlier and sighed happily when her skin met with the soft fabric of the hoodie, the scent of the fabric softener Harry always used when doing laundry, filled her nostrils and she felt truly relaxed for the first time ever, the sudden realization that it was the 20th and she finally had some time off of work taking place, soothing her running head. It always took her a while to get accustomed to he holidays, always so busy with work, and she never truly felt free until Harry was free from work too.
He’d just came back less than a week ago, and he still had a couple of interviews and some charity events he was supposed to attend before closing everything on the 24th.
To her, it was truly crazy how someone could work until Christmas Eve, and she told him many times, but he always shrugged it off telling her he was used to it. To YN, it didn’t make it any better.
After picking a book from their office’s bookshelf, she made her way back downstairs, plopping down on the couch.
She rested her head on the arm rest and scooted down so she could be comfortable enough to stretch her legs and lay down.
She opened her book and started reading to occupy the time it would take Harry to come back home.
-
A couple of hours had passed when YN heard the front door shut softly and the sound of keys tilting in the dish placed by the door. She smiled to herself, not raising her eyes from the book. Harry was finally home.
When he made his way in the living room, he was still wearing his work clothes — just jeans and a sweater, but they were still work clothes to him — but he had removed his shoes. Yn eyed him briefly before tapping the screen of her phone that rested on the coffee table and she frowned at the time, it was past eight o’clock. She knew he must have been exhausted.
“Hey, my love” she whispered, resting her book open on her chest and stretching her arms towards him.
Harry smiled lazily at her and at first sat down on the couch near her feet, resting one hand on her ankle and thumbing at her exposed skin absentmindedly.
YN knew not to question him. It wasn’t the first time he’d come back from work and didn’t feel like talking, so she usually would let him do his thing until he felt like being social again. She understood how hard it must be to always be expected to be happy and laid back, so she didn’t want him to feel like he had to pretend at home too.
Two beats passed and YN picked up her book again, resuming her reading.
She felt Harry shuffle in his place at her feet, and after a while she felt him sneaking up her body, resting his smushed cheek against her chest and she opened her legs a bit so he could rest comfortably between them. She intertwined one of her legs with his and Harry sighed heavily against her chest, moving his head so he could splatter light kisses against her covered skin.
YN switched the book from one hand to the other, holding it open with just one hand and burying the other in Harry’s hair, removing the hair clip from his curls and placing it on the hem of her hoodie. Once his hair was free, she started to tug gently at the roots, alternating the tugs with a gentle massage on his scalps with her fingertips.
His body was starting to get warmer, and she loved feeling his body weighting on her. Harry always used to joke that if he could get inside her skin he would, because he never seemed to feel close enough to her.
After some time, YN closed the book, marking the page folding the ear of the page, and placed it on the ground. Harry had fallen asleep, and she didn’t want to wake him stretching to the coffee table, so the ground would do just fine.
She kept playing with his hair with one hand, smoothing the hair from his forehead so she could see his face better. He looked so peaceful with his cheek smashed against her chest, his plushy lips red and slightly opened, small breaths puffing out of his round cheeks.
She loved him like this, soft and tender. She brought her other hand down and started caressing his back in circles, hoping to soothe the tension off of him.
“My baby” she whispered, tilting her head a bit so she could plant a kiss on his hair line.
Harry mumbled something incomprehensible at that and she tugged gently at his hair, “what?”
“I’ll get up in a bit” he repeated, muttering, his eyes still closed and his words coming out strangled from his squished cheek.
“No need, you’re like my personal teddy bear” she giggled softly, pressing another kiss to his hair line.
“Love you so much” he mumbled, never opening his eyes. He squeezed her a little harder with his arm and she smiled against his hair.
“Sleep now, I’ll wake you when it’s time for bed”
Harry nodded against her chest and his hair tickled her chin.
“Love you too, cuddly baby” She whispered, resuming her massages with her hands. Harry was already asleep again, and she knew he probably didn’t hear her, but she knew she’d tell him how much she loved him as soon as he’d wake up. She truly did love him, cuddles and all.

The (almost) Perfect Date
Tumblr media
Pairing: Hwang Hyunjin x F!reader
Genre: fluff
Summary: Due to his busy schedule, you and Hyunjin weren't having enough time to spend together. To change that, Hyunjin planned out the perfect date for you, too bad you were extremely sick and refused to tell him.
Warning: some swearing and mentions of vomiting.
Words: 3.5k
Author's Note: Hey guys, Happy New Year!! I've been a little busy with my new job, but here's something I wrote over this holiday. I hope you like it!
Tumblr media
Hyunjin missed you.
With countless rehearsals and recordings stretching on for hours, Hyunjin was so busy that he barely had time to see you in person. The fact that you were also occupied with your part-time job and college didn't make things any easier.
Nonetheless, even with all those obstacles in the way, both of you tried your best to exchange at least a few messages through the day, even if it was only a simple 'good morning' or 'how are you?' text. On a good day, you were able to talk by video call, but, most of the time, Hyunjin was so tired that he could barely keep his eyes open for five minutes.
Hyunjin hated this.
His heart sank in his chest every time he was forced to cancel a date with you at the last minute. Guilt chewed him inside, but there was nothing he could do about it. He felt like he wasn't having enough time for you, and that was totally unacceptable to him.
He wasn't dumb. He saw how much his career affected you, even though you denied it, saying you understood the trials that came with dating him and that you were okay with it. But it wasn't okay. At least not for him. The blunt truth is that Hyunjin feared the moment you would realize he wasn't worth all the work. That he wasn't good enough for you.
You were an angel in his life. Always so kind and understanding, willing to listen and support him without thinking twice. You were there in his most difficult times, helping him see the light amid so much darkness.
And that's why he planned out the best and most perfect date ever as soon as he managed to find time in his hectic schedule.
He already had everything planned out down to the smallest detail. He would take you to see the new movie you were dying to see with your favorite actor, but first, you would have dinner at the restaurant you used to frequent.
After that, you'd walk around the city, exploring places you never visited before. He'd take the opportunity to give you little presents, buying everything and anything that caught your attention at the stores on your way. Lastly, he'd take you to stargaze, where you would spend the rest of the night just enjoying each other's presence.
And that's why you did what you did. Knowing how excited Hyunjin was with your date, you didn't find the courage to tell him how extremely sick you were.
A couple of days ago, you lost track of time while studying at the library, not realizing it had started to rain outside and how late it was. To increase your bad luck, your phone had run out of battery. Without being able to call an Uber, you got home after half an hour, soaked and shaking like an angry pinscher.
And now, you felt as if you had been run over by a fucking train.
You got rid of the two thick blankets that covered your body and got out of bed to fix the mess that was your hair. Your body vehemently protested with every move you made, sending a burning pain through all your limbs. Even breathing hurt at that point.
You took longer than usual to get ready because hiding the paleness of your face and the deep dark circles under your eyes wasn't an easy task. If there was a prize for whoever looked more like Samara, the girl from The Ring movie, you would surely win without a doubt.
The big problem was, Hyunjin knew you better than anyone. If he suspected you weren't okay, he'd call off the date immediately and force you to spend the rest of the night trapped in your bed.
You refused with all your might to let that happen. This was important to Hyunjin, this was important to you, and you wouldn't ruin it even if pigs started flying.
The ringing of the doorbell echoed through your apartment, making you grunt. Your stomach churned, but you took a deep breath, holding back the urge to puke your organs out of your body.
"Hi!" You said a little breathlessly when you opened the door and saw Hyunjin standing there with all his surreal beauty. You still had a hard time believing he was yours.
"Hi, gorgeous. This is for you!" Hyunjin softly said, handing you a bouquet of red roses.
Your lips stretched into a smile, but the strong scent of the roses invaded your nose, making you sneeze.
"Are you okay?" He asked, confused.
"Couldn't be better!" You smiled. "They're beautiful, Hyun.”
"Said the girl who looks like a work of art." He said sweetly, wrapping his long arms around your waist.
You felt your cheeks heat up.
"Stop it! You're making me shy."
"So my plan is working." He winked before leaning in, bringing your lips together in a gentle kiss.
You missed his kisses so much. There was something about Hyunjin that always made you feel intoxicated, yearning for more of his soft caresses and sweet touch. But your brain quickly cleared as you remembered how sick you were. Shit!
You put your hands on his chest and abruptly pushed him away, making Hyunjin look at you in confusion. A little pout still on his pink lips.
"Hum, I think we should go." You nervously said. He gave you a suspicious look, making you start to say the first thing that popped into your head. “You made a reservation at the restaurant, didn't you? You know how strict they are with punctuality. We can't be late.”
"They know me. I'm sure they won't mind if we're a little late." Hyunjin smiled, leaning in your direction again.
You needed to think fast.
You bent down and dodged his arms, walking fast towards the kitchen. "I better put the flowers in the water before they wither."
You filled a glass with water and placed the flowers, trying to ignore the piercing look Hyunjin was giving you.
"Shall we go?"
He shook his head, "No. I still haven't got my kiss!"
“Don't be a baby. We’re already late." You took his hand, leading him towards the building's elevator.
"Y/n!" He groaned in protest.
"We'll have plenty of time for this later."
"You promise?" He asked hopefully, lips forming a small pout.
"Yes, I promise."
"Okay. But how about a quick peck?”
“No, Hyunjin.”
The ride to the restaurant was pleasant at first. You talked about your week, catching up with what was happening in your daily life. Hyunjin told you about how Jisung ran into a glass door after laughing at Felix for doing the same thing. That made you laugh out loud, something you hadn't done in a while.
Everything was perfect. You already felt better just by being in the comforting presence of your boyfriend. Yet, fate liked to play tricks when you least expected it.
Everything went downhill when Hyunjin made a sharp turn that made your nausea come back ten times worse. At every turn, your stomach twisted unpleasantly, but you struggled to cover it up and continue the conversation.
Hyunjin was beaming, his eyes shone brighter than the stars themselves, and a smile seemed to be glued at the corner of his lips. There's no way in hell you would spoil that.
"I asked them to prepare your favorite dish!" Hyunjin excitedly stated as you sat at the restaurant table.
You grimace. Well, let's just say your favorite dish wasn't really that recommended by nutritionists since the amount of fried food in it could be seen as a crime against health.
You tried to recover from your little slip, but it was already too late. Hyunjin widened his eyes and rushed to say, “But if you want to order something else, it's okay, seriously. I'm sorry, I thought you might want it. You always order the same thing, and I wanted to surprise you."
"Hyunjin, it's fine."
"Really?" He questioned, staring at you with his innocent eyes, looking like a child afraid to be scolded by his mother.
“Of course, baby. It was very kind of you.” You caressed his hand that rested on the table, trying to soothe him.
He smiled with a twinkle in his eyes, "Anything for you, my love."
You forced a smile to your lips, hoping he wouldn't notice the cold sweat on your forehead. A shiver shook your body.
"Are you cold?" Hyunjin asked, concerned. "Sorry, I should have chosen a table further away from the air-conditioning."
You tried to protest, but in a matter of seconds Hyunjin was at your side, wrapping his coat around your body. He leaned his head and placed a kiss on your forehead, but he quickly pulled away, frowning.
"Gorgeous, you're hot." He pointed, making your body petrify.
Holy crap!
The effect of the medicine you took in the afternoon should be wearing off. In your zombie state, you had completely forgotten to take another pill before leaving your house.
"I'm always hot, baby." You forced a laugh, hoping your lame excuse would work by some miracle.
“Yeah, I agree with that. But I'm not talking about this."
Thank God, Hyunjin was interrupted by the arrival of the food. He grudgingly pulled away from you, sitting back in his seat, yet not even for a second diverting his watchful gaze from you.
"Thanks." You said when the waiter finished serving the last dish.
“Y/n-” Hyunjin started, but you cut him off.
“Ow, this looks so good! I'm starving, aren't you? Let's eat before the food gets cold.”
Out of desperation, you cut off a large piece of meat and brought it to your mouth, despite the fierce protests of your belly. The food instantly made your empty stomach lurch, causing your vision to blur slightly. Points of light seemed to be dancing in front of your eyes.
"Sorry. I think I need to go to the restroom.” You babbled.
Distraught, you covered your mouth and nearly ran towards the toilet. You heard Hyunjin calling your name and felt people's eyes on you, but, for the moment, you decided to worry only about not throwing up in the middle of the restaurant.
Without thinking twice, Hyunjin placed his napkin on the table and followed you. He was so worried that he almost walked straight into the ladies' restroom, but the death glare he received from an old lady was enough to make him back off.
So he rested his head on the cool tile and took a deep breath, waiting impatiently for you.
What the hell had happened? You looked good seconds ago. What had he missed? He ran the last hour over and over in his head, trying to find some clue, some sign that would explain what was happening.
The sneeze at the smell of the flowers, the discomfort on your face while he was driving, your reaction to the food… Oh crap!
He rushed to you as soon as you left the restroom.
"Love, are you okay? What happened?"
Seeing the distress in Hyunjin's eyes hit you like a sack of bricks. There went the perfect date.
“I'm alright, Hyun. Let’s go back to the table." You said, trying to sound as convincing as possible.
"Please, don't lie to me. You're so pale… and your hands are shaking! You threw up, didn't you?"
Lying to him was totally useless at that point. So you just nodded slightly.
To your surprise, Hyunjin let out a gasp, quickly covering his mouth with his hands. His eyes were wide open, and, if that was even possible, he looked paler than you.
"Oh my God. You're pregnant!" He blurted out.
"What?" You exclaimed.
Hyunjin gripped your shoulders, staring deeply into your eyes before enveloping your body in a tight hug.
“It's going to be okay, my love. I swear. We'll figure it out. I'll be by your side every step of the way, I give you my word. I'm here with you. I got you."
"Hyunjin!" You exclaimed, struggling to pull away from his bear hug. "I'm not pregnant."
"Are you sure?" He stared at you, suspicious.
“What do you mean with that? Of course, I'm sure! Why the hell do you think I'm pregnant?”
"Well..." He scratched his neck, suddenly shy. “In movies, whenever a woman starts vomiting, it always means she is pregnant. And you were so sensitive to smells. So... I don't know… I thought you were pregnant.”
You tried to control yourself so you wouldn't hurt his feelings, but you couldn't help but laugh at it.
However, your fit of laughter was soon replaced by a fit of coughing. You coughed so hard that you felt the air rush out of your lungs, making your knees weaken. Terrified, Hyunjin wrapped an arm around your shoulders, supporting you.
"Baby, I can assure you hundred percent that I'm not pregnant." You teased him, trying to ignore the taste of bile in your mouth.
"You’re sick!" He said in awe as if he had just discovered a new country.
“Yep. I got caught in the rain a few days ago.” You explained.
"Why didn't you call me?" He scolded you.
"My phone died."
"That's no excuse! You could have borrowed the library phone or made a smoke signal-"
"Baby, I don't think a smoke signal would be very useful on a rainy day." You said, trying hard not to laugh again. He was just so cute.
"Stop being so smart, you know what I mean."
"Yes, I know. Sorry."
"Fuck! I should have realized this sooner. Why didn't you tell me anything? We wouldn't have left your house if you had told me! God, I'm so sorry, I-”
"Hey, it's okay." You interrupt him, cupping his cheeks. He was looking at you seriously, eyes clouded with worry. "It was my fault. I didn't want to ruin this night.”
Hyunjin closed his eyes, letting out a deep sigh. He would have a serious talk with you about this, but his priority right now was to take you home. "Let's go."
"Where?"
"Home."
"But-"
"No buts." He argued. "We're going home, young lady."
“No, Hyunjin.” You said desperately, trying to break free from his arms. Your worst nightmare was coming true right in front of your eyes. “We barely ate anything. And the movie? I know you already bought the tickets! We can't go home now.”
"My love, listen to me." He said firmly yet gently, cupping your cheeks with his big hands, making you have no choice but to look at his eyes. “None of that matters, okay? What I'm worried about right now is with you and your health.”
Without giving you time to protest, Hyunjin pulled you by the hand towards the exit, only stopping on the way to explain the situation to a waiter. Within minutes you were in his car again, leaning your head against the window, hoping the cold glass would help with your headache.
The drive home was silent. Hyunjin drove as carefully as possible to not make your nausea worse. You notice he was biting the corner of his lip, something he only did when his head was far away, lost in thought. But he kept a firm hand on your knee, absently stroking random patterns on your skin.
"Can you walk?" He suddenly asked as he stopped in front of your apartment.
Before you could answer, he got out of the car and opened the passenger door, scooping you gently into his arms in bridal style.
“Hey! Put me down, I can walk. If you haven't forgotten, I'm not nine months pregnant! I’m just sick."
“I prefer not to risk it. You almost fainted at the restaurant.” His face was serious as he carried you to the elevator.
"You're exaggerating. I was just a little dizzy! Really, you don't have to do this.”
"Shii, stop being so stubborn." He replied, shaking his head. "Let me be your boyfriend and take care of you."
Seeing that you had no chance of winning against him, you just closed your eyes and rested your head on his shoulder. It didn't take long for you to be back in your bed, properly changed in a pair of sweats and with your teeth brushed.
"I'll make you something to eat." He informed after making sure you were comfortable.
You protested, grabbing his arm and pulling him back to bed. "No, just stay here with me."
“I promise I'll cuddle you for as long as you want, my love. But you need to eat something first. You look so weak… I-I wonder how I didn't notice this before.” He said sadly, almost whispering the last part.
Your heart squeezed in your chest.
"It's not your fault. I didn't want you to know I was sick... I know how hard you planned everything, and I didn't want to screw it up.” You said bitterly. “But in the end, I only managed to make things worse.”
He held your hands gently, as if you were a fragile piece of crystal, adorably staring at you. “You didn't screw anything. I understand your side, but you should have told me the truth.”
"It's just… We barely get to spend time together, and you were so excited… I miss you so much, Hyun.”
Hyunjin felt like crying seeing you so vulnerable and fragile like that. But he swallowed his tears and tried his best to reassure you.
"I miss you too, my love. But please, never do that again. You're more important than any restaurant or theater. Your health and your comfort will always come first to me.” He brought your hands to his lips, placing little kisses on your fingers. “Sorry for being a bad boyfriend and not realizing you were sick."
"Hey, you're not a bad boyfriend!"
He shook his head in denial. "I was too focused on making sure everything came out perfect. I think I wanted to prove to myself that I was worthy of being with someone like you."
'Hyunjin..." You muttered, feeling a little lost. You had no idea he felt that way.
"Sorry, I know this is silly."
"What? No, no. This is far from silly, baby. I want you to know that your feelings are totally valid and that you can share them with me anytime. I'll always be here to listen to you and make sure these negative thoughts don't play tricks on that beautiful brain of yours.”
You approached him, wrapping him in a tight hug.
“I love you, Hwang Hyunjin.” You whispered in his ear. “You have no idea how special you are. Personally, I think I'm so lucky to have been given the chance to meet you and see up close this beautiful person that you are. It probably going to sound a little cheesy, but you're my soulmate. You filled a space in my life that I didn't even know was missing. You're worth it, and I hope with all my heart that I never lose you.”
"You're going to make me cry like that." He pulled away, dramatically fanning his face with his hands.
"Here I am declaring my love for you, and you being a drama queen." You said, rolling your eyes.
“You know I love you too, gorgeous. More than all the stars in the sky.”
He gently caressed your cheek, looking at you with so much love that made your heart flutter in your chest. He slowly leaned for a kiss, but you turned your head quickly, making him kiss your cheek.
He whined. "Y/n!"
“I'm sick, forgot? So no kissing for you, sir.”
"This is so unfair!"
"Chan would kill me if I let you get sick with the performances just around the corner."
“Forget that, I'll deal with it later. Now give me at least a little kiss.”
You pushed him away, warning him, "Hyunjin!"
"All right! You won. Happy?" He raised his arms in a sigh of surrender. “Can I at least check your temperature?"
You nodded, allowing him to come closer. He calmly brought his hand up to your forehead, but before you could realize what was happening, you felt Hyunjin's plump lips touch yours in a quick kiss.
“Hwang Hyunjin!” You yelled as he quickly walked away.
“Stay right here. Don't move a muscle. I'll prepare something tasty for you to eat and get some medicine. I won't allow my soulmate to be sick like that.” He blew you a kiss, smiling teasingly. “Oh and Y/n, just so you know. You'll never lose me. I’m totally yours, my love.”
You rolled your eyes, trying to hide the blush creeping up on your cheeks. "Don't set the house on fire!"
"I'll try my best."
When he left, you leaned back on the bed, lightly touching your lips with your fingertips, not even trying to hide the silly smile present on your face.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N grimaced, tugging the rumpled sheets further up towards her head, shielding their eyes from the blinding interruption that proved to be sunlight, smugly streaming in through the sheer curtains that hung loosely from the ceiling.
"What's got you so grumpy this morning ?", Stephen wondered out loud, voice still raspy as he rubbed his eyes gingerly trying to get rid of the sleep. The sensation of a woman burying her head deeper into his chest shaking him from his steady slumber, her thick locks brushing against his bare skin, causing him to reflexively tighten his grip on her waist, pulling her in to look up at him.
She frowned, before attempting to burry her head in the crook of his neck, "The sun's getting in the way of my sleep", exasperatedly groaning, the sound of her voice muffled in the thick, fluffy sheets that covered their bodies, "Why do I always procrastinate on replacing the curtains ?".
Stephen pressed his lips together, silently contemplating the situation, "Well I would say it was less procrastination, and more that we're pretty occupied most of the time", tilting his head down to peck the crown of her head gently.
She couldn't help but roll her eyes a little, "I swear it didn't feel like the Avengers did this much work before we were supposedly a part of it", huffing into warm skin, unable to stop the smile that spread across her face at the low chuckle that came from him. Despite her aversion for the sun, she lifted her face from her hiding spot, admiring the way the sunshine managed to catch him in such an exquisite way. It was almost as though his eyes were taken from the colour of the waves crashing against the fine sand on the beach, so clear and concise as they watched her carefully.
"Yes but unfortunately it is", he replied, detangling an arm from their close to conjoint frames, to brush out a strand of stray hair from her face, not being able to tear his gaze away from her, although she would say her hair closely resembled a lions mane. Even though he always loved the way she looked, always radiating an etherealness, it was her personality that made him fall for her first. The confidence that poured out of her, able to wake an entire room and command his every move, which she was well aware of, not that he minded. He would probably walk through fire for her, in fact that was a milder option, in terms of the things he would do for her. The true fact was, he would do anything for her, no matter how gruesome or painful, with just the flick of her finger or a wave of her hand, but he supposed that's why he married her, the magazine cover like photos still unclouded in his mind.
"Don't remind me", she frowned playfully, turning around to face the other side, pressing her lips tightly together to stifle her giggles.
He protested, curling his arm out to tug her back to look at him, "Alright, how's this instead ?", connecting their lips. The kiss was sweet and loving, lips moving in sync, his hand moving up to cup her cheek, thumbing at the skin softly, quickly transforming into something more passionate. She pulled away for a few seconds, practically breathless, before moving back to kiss him again, more desperate, as he pulled himself to sit up against headboard, her leg swinging over so that she sat on his lap. Running her fingers through his fluffy locks of hair still messy from sleep, he hummed in delight, enjoying the sensation, as he moved down to brushing his lips against her neck, tightening his hold around her waist to close any resemblance of space between them, causing her to pant breathlessly.
A sudden beeping signalled a hologram which promptly popped out, frightening the pair. Y/N jumped out of his arms, unfortunately choosing to land on the darkly stained hardwood floors of the sanctum, groaning in pain as she dragged herself from the ground to look at it, leaning an elbow on the bed, while she rubbed her hip gingerly. Furrowing her eyebrows, she glared at the person illuminated in the air, Tony, who sent them a deadpanned look, "I know you two just got married, but this is becoming too frequent even for me", voice dripping with sarcasm. The call switched off with a soft beep, as she slumped down onto the bed, groaning in frustration into the silky sheets, raising an accusatory finger at the man chuckling above her, "Don't even-"
"It was pretty funny", he laughed, watching as she climbed back onto the bed, laying down with her limbs spread in exasperation, a silent protest.
She sulked, giving him a hard stare, promptly grabbing the first thing that she brushed her fingers against, flinging it at the sorcerer that sat up next to, causing him to raise his arms in protection. A fluffy, clean pillow to thump softly down onto the mattress. As his laughter died down, he lay himself down next to her stretching his fingers out to curl a strand of her hair, loose from the unkept pile that feathered around her head like a crown. Watching her intently, he found the edges of his lips curve upwards into a smile when he saw her defeat as the same grin spread across her face, turning to face him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frantically pushing himself to stand, Stephen ran towards the pile of rubble, ears still ringing from the explosion that sent the building raining in small pieces of concrete hail on the ground, the cloud of dust it stirred up barely even settled, still somewhat visible. He couldn't stop his hands from shaking as he performed the spell, causing thin, blazing auburn bands lifted the grey slabs, tossing them elsewhere, leaving a small frame weakly lying on the discoloured, bumpy floor.
"No, no, no" he whispered, rushing over to cradle her fragile body in his arms, the dark, angry bruises that littered her ethereal face making his heart race anxiously, which only worsened when his eyes spotted the deep stain in her tunic, that was growing at a frightening pace. He pressed a palm tightly against it, using the other hand to support her, unable to stop the warm, salty tears that ran down his face, dripping onto her pale skin when his fingers began to turn dark crimson. Tilting his head to the dreary sky, he blinked a few times, willing himself to stop the tears, yet such force only made his emotions run wilder, the streams only becoming more vigorous and tormented.
As her eyes flickered shut, his voice began to break, far from his usual collected and confident manner, "Darling, just hold on" "I- If I just - I can fix this". His words more of a reassurance to himself than anything else, as he watched the woman he loved, who was filled with love and life, so much of which was devoted to him, that she sacrificed herself for him, without a second thought. In fact, she didn't even need to think about it, the action came to her like second nature, when she saw the wreckage come crumbling to the ground towards him, she roughly shoved him out of the way, taking his place under the shadow that was meant to be his doom, giving her whole self and life for him, so that he would live.
He delicately slipped his hand into hers, lacing his fingers with hers, never wanting to let go, wondering why he ever did. The ruby colour only stained her delicate skin, but the only thing Stephen could focus on was the cold that had enveloped her fingers, covering her warmth, like a deathly blanket. He was smart enough to deduce what had happened, but no matter how intelligent, he was still just a man who was able to hold his entire world and reason for being in his hands, a man who had that world destroyed.
"Love- Just- Just look at me- Please", he tried, a part of him being lost to the insanity, thinking that maybe just maybe, the universe wasn't cruel enough to snatch the one thing that he ever really wanted away from him, leaving him to be alone, a prison sentence without justification. It was like time stood still when she lay limp on him, his breath catching in throat, not able to come out. He thought maybe it was instinctive reflex, because what was the point of his life without her, she was like the sun, if she wasn't there everything would be a bleak, darkness, cold and unmeaningful, where he wouldn't be able to exist or even function. However, he could only sneer at the universe, knowing that it was not that kind, to let him go and be with her, wherever she was now.
The tears now fell more vigorously, like waves of an unrelenting storm, created from his own despair and loss, growing like a black hole within his chest. In that moment as he slumped down, pulling her lifeless form closer to his, he wished over and over again that his heart would stop, that something would come and take his life, because anything would be better than living in a world without her, without her good morning kisses, her terrible jokes. She didn't deserve this. This wasn't what her life was meant to succumb to, sacrifice for her husband. The more he thought about it, the more he felt his heart crack, little by little, until it shattered and clattered to the pit of his chest like tiny glass pieces, cutting deep and hardly, with no remorse, but he figured he deserved that, it was still just the slimmest fraction of the horror she had endured.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I'm going to make tea, and I suggest you join me before you do something reckless", Wong's voice rang out in the darkness of the empty sanctum.
Stephen couldn't sleep, not anymore. The whole room wasn't right without her, too hollow, like it had been carved out despite all the furniture that littered the hardwood floor, the cold wrapping him in tight knots, the blanket doing little to nothing to help, it never really did, it was always her. The softness of her skin, against his, the way her steady breathing would lull him, the heat that spread to him as their limbs remained tangled up, legs and hands together, faces tucked close to each other, because being apart would be so detrimental and torturous. Unfortunately that was his reality as of that day. Its not that people hadn't tried to help him, they did, but they weren't her. Even as he had watched them lower her body into the hole in the soil he wondered what the meaning of all this was. Why have a funeral ? She was gone and that was the only fact that mattered, the only thing the accusatory voice in his head could say, every day, every minute and every second, over and over again, like a mantra, that she was dead because of him. How do people survive without their significant other he wondered. Every waking day felt like he was drowning. She had been his air, his lifeline, and he was destined to be alone, suffocating in this agonising hell on earth.
"What ? I didn't even say anything ?", he replied nonchanlantly, not bothering to look up from where he sat, watching the raindrops fall against the window pains, the floor blotched with shadows as they slipped and ran carelessly down. The eye-shaped artefact felt cold against his skin, his fingers running up and down across the intricate lines and designs that protected the true treasure on the inside, an infinity stone, the time stone to be more speicific. A relic that could change the very story written so cautiously, erase anything with the wave of a hand.
"You didn't have to", his friend shook his head, moving closer to place a sympathetic hand on his shoulder, somewhat unsure of what more could be done to console him, "I know you miss her but there's nothing we can do".
"Yes but it isn't fair is it", he exclaimed, feeling his blood boil as he replayed the moment, his mind snapping the details overtime, filling ind details that he couldn't notice, his imagination more brutish than it should've been. He could practically hear her bones cracking under the weight of the concrete, blood gushing out like an untamed river, staining everything an angry scarlet, her soul leaving her body like an empty shell. His voice softened, turning to meet his friends eyes, "She took that fall for me", yet still lost in the maze that he had unconsciously created for himself, a punishment for not protecting her, what good are vows if he didn't keep them, "She is dead because of me, it- it should've been me".
Wong sighed,"I'm sorry Stephen, I truly am, now come on". The memory of her was still a sore to him too, another one of his closest friends lost, yet he thought would never understand what Stephen lost that day, a part him had died along with her that day, if not almost all of him, like a dead man walking, but he did his best to help his friend.
"I- Alright, I'll join you in a minute", the sorcerer hesitated, forcing a weak smile at his friend, relaxing when he began to walk down the stairs, footsteps growing quieter, until they were enveloped in the silence. He ran a hand across his face, trying to wake himself, before bringing his eyes to the relic that was clasped in his fingers, the Eye of Agamotto. The object could turn time back, but at what risk he thought, the entire multiverse may be in danger if there was one wrong move. He tried to push the idea out of his mind, but the only thing that he could think about was the hope of being able to see her again, wake up to her again, laugh with her again. Sliding the worn string over his neck, he twisted his hands into the convoluted spell, revealing the stone, allowing it to paint the walls a light green. He thought to himself, wasn't she worth risking the multiverse for.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He blinked a few times readjusting to the light that shone into his eyes, trying to focus on the room around him as he frantically pushed himself to sit up, the feeling of the soft cotton familiar to his fingertips, a soft creaking filling the space. He felt confused, until he caught sight of the form that stirred under the sheets next to him, causing his breath to hitch in his throat. He found himself unable to speak as, she pulled the covers down, rubbing at her eyes a little to remove the sleep, before her lips curled upwards into a smile as her gaze turned to him. Just like that he felt his heart racing again, like it had been restarted, matching her grin, he tilted his eyes to the ceiling, not wanting her to see the tears that had begun to form, threatening to roll down his cheeks, yet he brought his gaze back down to her. He didn't want to tear his eyes away from her, like she would disappear if he did. Reaching a hand out cautiously, he went to cup her cheek, a part of him scared that this was just a dream and he would wake up alone again, letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding when his fingers touched her skin, the warmth of it spreading through him like a jolt of electricity.
"Darling, are you alright ?", she questioned, her expression falling at the sight of the tears that lined his eyes, lifting her hand to thumb the drop that had rolled down his face, pulling herself closer to him, their legs tangled up together.
"I- I- Yeah, you just-", he stammered, feeling like a lovesick school boy again, "I love you so much". He could feel his chest about to burst with so much joy, at being able to see her again, touch her skin, inhale her soft citrusy scent of lime and basil, tugging her closer to connect their lips for a sweet kiss. She was confused for a moment, before melting into him, matching the desperation of his kiss with just as much fervour, leaving her sighing as he pushed her down, letting her sink in the fluffy pillows, before settling in between her legs, all without disconnecting their lips.
Feeling breathless, she broke the kiss, nestling her head in his neck, she whispered out, "I love you too", grinning as she pressed her lips against his again, lacing her fingers through his messy hair. He groaned at her touch, tugging her closer, an attempt at closing the non-existing space between them. He didn't want the moment to end, hoping he could drag it out forever, but the sound of a beeping he knew all too well snapped him back into reality, his hands still clutching her waist protectively, as the glowing hologram illuminated the air. "Oh my- I know you two just got married but get a room", Tony's voice rang out, clearly annoyed and partly disgusted, the woman sending him a sheepish smile while shrugging her shoulders. He merely rolled his eyes, "Anyways, we're having somewhat of a situation and need you guys to come in", voice filled with sarcasm as he sent them a pointed look, gesturing to the couple, "And this, has got to stop happening", before ending the call, the bright image being reduced to a small rectangular box.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Stop torturing yourself Stephen, there is no hope here", she insisted, folding her arms together, her demeanour calm and relaxed despite the wreckage that surrounded them, "(Y/N) is gone. You cannot save her"
"No", he murmured, glancing back at her lifeless body that lay weakly on the floor, surrounded by pieces of demolished buildings and concrete, growing more frustrated and furious at the Ancient One's words, her peaceful, composed manner only provoking him further. How was it that she was so unaffected, she was her student too, and yet she just watched her, no let her die, without doing anything to stop it, like she was meaningless, but Stephen knew she was anything but that, he needed her.
"Stephen, this path only leads to darkness and the end of this reality", she warned, watching him vigilantly, silently hoping that he would be collected enough to make the right choice for the greater good of their reality. He could only clutch his hands tightly into fists, tilting his head down to look at the worn relic that hung from his neck, knowing what he had to do. He knew she was worth it, reality was worth destroying, if she would live instead.
Her expression softened, raising her arms in a protective stance, as she watched him, his back facing her, a sadness enveloping her when she realised what was to come, his judgement clouded by loss and despair, "Please do not do this, or I will be forced to stop you".
He felt a determination wash over him, turning himself around to give her a sharp look, he twisted his arms up to open the Eye of Agamotto, revealing the time stone, "You'd have to find me first", before disappearing into the bright green light.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Strange you have got to stop this", Tony's familiar voice rang out clearly in the night, the light from his suit illuminating the ground, causing Stephen to squint as it shone into his eyes. Taking a step back, he was quick to notice the shadows that stepped out from the darkness, revealing themselves to be Natasha and Steve, hands hovering above their weapons hesitantly, unsure of just how unstable he really was. He didn't think he was unstable, in fact he'd never seen clearer in his life before. He knew exactly what he wanted, he knew what he needed to do to get it and he knew he wasn't going to let anyone stop him, even his friends.
"You don't understand, she didn't deserve that, that's not what her life should be", he warned the group, raising his head to meet the emotionless, glowing eyes of the Iron Man suit. Tony wouldn't understand, he told himself, he had his wife with him. How could he possibly understand having a hole ripped in the middle of his chest, to the point where it hurt to breathe or move, knowing that she wouldn't be able to anymore. No, he didn't understand.
"Yes, but at what cost Stephen", Natasha's voice was soft and gentle, yet still cautious, testing the waters with her words, just barely brushing against the surface to wet her toes, her eyes watching for the slightest hint of aggression from him, "I don't think she'd want you to destroy the world to save her".
Rolling his eyes at her, he sighed, running a hand across his forehead in frustration, "You would do the exact same thing if you were in my position". He knew the tactic she was using to try and calm him down, persuade him to see her side, do what they wanted him to do having witnessed it many times, yet this was the first time he had been on the opposite side, finding that it did nothing to sway his mind, nothing would stop him from reuniting himself with her. He needed them to leave, them being here meant there was a problem to deal with, which meant that he was wasting precious time that he could be using to save (Y/N).
Seeing the pain behind his un-phased demeanour, she took a step closer, reaching her hands out to him, like he was some lost skittish lost child that would run at the slightest hint of danger. "I know it hurts, we all miss her, but this isn't right"
She spoke like she understood the pain, but she didn't, she may have experienced excruciating pain and though it made him sympathise for her, that did not mean she understood his. "Stop- Stop acting like you all understand, because you don't", he exclaimed, his rage only fuelled by the empathising words, tired of all the 'I'm sorry's' and 'It gets better's'. People are never really sorry and it never really gets better, they just learn to live with the pain, the difference was that he could do something about it, he could change the past, if they would just leave him alone.
"I suggest you all leave before someone gets hurt", he scowled, turning his back to them, only to be stopped with Steve in his way, the extreme emotion he felt causing the magic to instinctively flow from his fingers, lighting up the space around them in furious, auburn sparkles, his eyes shaded a dangerous colour.
The man spoke in a collected tone, trying not to provoke him further, his shield ready by his side, ready to strike at any moment, "I don't want to do this Stephen, don't make me do this". He thought they were his friends, they should care enough to help him, or at least let him do what he had to, to bring you back, but if they wanted to get in his way, so be it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I- What- What happened ?", she stammered, using a hand to rub her head, feeling it spin as her eyes fluttered open. Her heart began to race, taking in the monstrous figure that held her gently, with dark slimy tentacles waving around and three glowing eyes that watched her intently. She felt too frightened to move, or notice that the full panging in her stomach had gone quiet, wishing she didn’t open her eyes, her mind running at full speed, trying to think of how to free herself, and then it spoke.
"(Y/N)- You- You're back", he hesitated, voice quiet and surprised at his own ability, forcing the remnants of the other masters to sink into himself, "I- I did it". Leaning in closer, he pulled her in for a kiss, her expression softening at the realisation of who it was.
She remorsefully pushed him off her, tilting her head to look around before turning back to him, questioning softly, "Oh Stephen, what did you do ?". She took in his appearance, the dark circles under his eyes had turned a deeper colour and his beautiful, cool, blue eyes seemed cloudy and hazed, like he was not fully there. The familiar rich, ruby coloured cape that she had grown accustomed to had been switched out for something more menacing, with sharp triangle edged and gold rimming. She could feel her heart sink further and further into a pit in her chest, threatening to crack at the state of the man she loved. He was lost, it was displayed plain for her to see, but he didn't seem to realise it, and she figured it was too late for either of them to reverse it.
"You died and I brought you back", he laughed, raising his arms in self-congratulation, attempting to curl his arms around her waist, bending down for another kiss, only to be stopped by her palm in his face. He raised an eyebrow, she looked unhappy, not even that but pitiful, for him. That didn't make sense, she should be happy, they could finally be together. He had burned down so many people for them, for her. He just couldn't understand it.
"You- You know I love you, but at what cost darling ?", she sighed, using a finger to slant his head up, forcing him to take in the reality that he had torn apart, "Look at the world". Her words were like a slap to the face. The sky had become a shade of green, so sickly and revolting, with holes of black that seemed to envelope all life, turning it into nothingness. He frantically began to turn his head around, hoping and wishing that there was someone who was fine, despite the part of him that knew this would have happened.
"No, no, but I- I can fix this", he tried to reassure himself. He had the power of hundreds of mystic art masters, he could fix this, otherwise what was the point of all the dark things he had done. It all seemed justified if it meant he could be with her again, anything paled in comparison to being with her, but this was not his intention, he didn't mean to doom everyone, but he could fix it. He could, he told himself, bringing himself to stand, the magic pouring from his fingertips, an act of desperation, his eyes flickering from the world to her.
She winced, pushing herself off the ground to face him, "Stephen, no one can reverse this,", a hand reached out to cup his cheek, tilting his head down to face her. There was now a new feeling in her chest, like low, dullness, not pain, but like she was losing feeling in her body, her head growing heavier. Bringing her fingers up to her eyes, she gasped, turning her hand around, shocked to see her skin turning a charcoal colour, bubbling out into the air around them. She bit her lip, a futile attempt to stop the tears that began to roll down her cheeks, tasting salty and wet as they dampened her lips. Despite how furious she was at her husband, it still felt bittersweet as she realised that this was the last time she'd get to see him, and in spite of herself she closed the gap between their two bodies, wrapping her arms around his neck, the streams that ravaged down her face staining his tunic, whispering, "Goodbye Stephen".
The world crystallised at his palms, the edges the sky no longer vast with possibility, but harsh and sharp lines formed, that resembled hard glass, but he wouldn't turn his eyes away from the woman that clutched him tightly, slowly fading further and further into emptiness. "No- But I-", he stammered, unable to control the tears that fell as he lowered down to the ground of his prison, grabbing helplessly at the unoccupied space, feeling his heart "(Y/N) no, don't go- Please-". He had sacrificed everything for her, the whole universe burnt to the ground so that she would live, and somehow it had all ended with him alone again, except this time the aching loss that seared in his chest was worse, because there was no more do-overs. This was his final chance and he ruined it.
Running a hand across his eyes, he tried to wipe at the tears that were falling at a dangerous pace, eventually giving up and hiding his face in them, so filled with shame, to have disappointed her, that this had been her last memory of him. He began to murmur out into the empty space, "I- I'm sorry. I'm so sorry", but it was pointless, there was no one to hear him, no one to forgive him, he had destroyed everything. He started all this pain, all this suffering, so that she wouldn't, but in the end she was still gone and he was still alone. The shattered pieces of his heart that littered his chest, crushed further without remorse, and it was his punishment to live with that pain for the rest of his existence, but as he thought about all the things he had done, he figured he deserved this.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had been 3 agonizingly slow weeks since your fiancé had been home.
Being engaged to an FBI profiler wasn’t always easy. The days, even weeks being apart, Spencer coming home at all hours of the night too exhausted to stay awake and spend time with you, missing birthdays, holidays, anniversaries being states away on those occasions.
But in all honesty, you still wouldn’t have it any other way.
Nobody else could make you laugh the way Spencer did. Nobody else could make you think the way Spencer did. Nobody could lovingly annoy the crap out of you the way Spencer did. And most importantly, nobody could fuck you the way Spencer did.
He has been gone for 3 weeks, but the week before he left, there wasn’t a lot of sexy time going on since you were busy with your own job. It was the occasional quickie before having to rush getting ready for work in the morning, a quick mutual masturbation session on a lazy weekend, but no real “wake the neighbors” fuck that you were so desperately craving. Keeping a healthy sex life was important to both of you.
So when you got the call from Spencer that the case was finally over and he would be coming home that same night, you knew it was go time.
You didn’t have much self control when it came to online shopping when Spencer was gone, what else were you supposed to do? The goldfish you two had as a pet wasn’t much company.
So you had treated yourself to a few new pairs of lingerie. Spencer was going to love all of them, but there was one in particular that you knew he was going to lose his mind over. It was baby blue see through with a floral pattern throughout the slip. It left very little to the imagination but that was your favorite part about it. Technically you were supposed to wear some sort of underwear but the slip looked better without it.
You took a hot deep shower and pampered yourself a few hours before you knew he was going to be home, that way you were nice and relaxed and ready for his arrival. You kept your hair simple since Spencer would be pulling at it all night. But you did put some makeup on just to enhance Spencer’s favorite part of your face, your eyes.
The mood of the room was set; the bed was perfectly made, the candle you had given Spencer for a “just because present” called “Bookstore” smelling like mahogany, leather, and coffee; lit on the bedside table. It was meant for him but you enjoyed it much more than him. All that was missing was Spencer.
You looked at the time on your phone, only 10 more minutes before Spencer was due home. You lay on your side of the bed, flipping through tv channels to find something to watch to occupy your time.
***
Spencer turns the key to turn the car off, he drops his hands from the steering wheel into his lap, letting out a deep sigh. He could have been home over 3 hours ago but the jet back home was having engine issues, so the team had to fly through a regular airport… which meant waiting for a flight.
The case wasn’t particularly a rough one emotionally, it was just long. Spencer missed you like crazy within the first few days of being away. Late night phone calls weren’t the same as physically being with you.
Spencer grabbed his satchel, leaving the rest of his baggage to lug up to the house until tomorrow when he had enough rest. As he’s walking up the driveway he can see the light on from the kitchen, signaling you were awake and waiting on him. He knew how much you hated waiting, so by now he knew you were seething with rage. There was about to be a lot of apologizing he was going to have to do. Spencer unlocks the front door, dropping his bag next to the front door and kicking his shoes off right next to it.
“Babe?” Spencer calls out, removing his jacket and hanging it up on the back of the couch. He listens for an answer, but all he hears is the slight murmur of the tv from your bedroom.
Spencer begins to unbutton his shirt as he walks down the hallway to the blue hue of the tv shadowing onto the floor. He steps into the room, spotting you curled up on top of the comforter fast asleep. Before he could appreciate how adorable you looked, softly snoring, he noticed the little outfit you were wearing. You laid there on your belly, one leg straight while the other bent up on the pillow next to you.
He scans your body through the see through fabric, spotting the lack of underwear on your lower half while your butt was fully exposed to him. You were practically a step away from being naked. He quietly walks over to the bed and touches the hem of the slip and carefully hikes it up your butt, not earning a reaction from you.
Spencer quickly sheds his shirt off and throwing it off to the corner of the room along with his dark slacks, kicking them off quickly. Spencer carefully climbs into the bed behind you, laying on his side and palming himself through his boxers to get himself hard, which really didn’t take much as his eyes rake over your body and his imagination runs wild about all the things he was about to do to you. He hisses as he strokes himself harshly, his cock growing harder every second.
Your body shifts next to him, a low grumble coming from your mouth as you shift in bed onto your side, your ass now completely facing him.
Spencer’s eyes widen seeing you move, he didn’t want to get caught stroking himself less than a few inches from where he wanted to be. He finally scoots closer to your body, resting his hands on your bare hip, your skin a little cold from the lack of bed sheet or clothing on you. He lines himself up with your entrance, slowly slipping in between your folds, not yet sliding in. He rubs the tip of his cock up and down you, finding you were already a bit wet.
Your whole body jumps a loud gasp filling the room which makes Spencer pull himself back. Your head turns quickly behind you to look at Spencer, a little glimmer of fear in your eyes. “What the fuck?” You whisper yell at him.
“I’m home. And I see you left a present for me.” He says, whispering in your ear. “Is this okay?” He asks, his hand moving down your thigh and lifting it slightly for easier access.
“I don’t know. I’m pretty annoyed you were so late. I’m kind of not in the mood anymore.” Your voice was laced with sarcasm as you cocked your eyebrow at Spencer.
He licks his lips, a smirk on his face appearing as he picks up on the little game you’re playing with him. “No? Well I think I have some apologizing to do.” Spencer says, moving the strap of your outfit out of his way, kissing up your shoulder and over to your neck.
Your eyes flutter closed at the feeling of his soft lips pecking at your skin, a low hum coming from deep within your chest.
“You know I missed my girl so much while I was gone.” He says, his hand traveling up the underside of your outfit all the way up your stomach and up to your breasts, kneading one in his large hands as he spoke in your ear. “I missed waking up to you.” Kiss. “Seeing your beautiful face.” Kiss. “Hearing those sexy moans about how good daddy makes you feel when I’m touching you.” Kiss. “And how wet you get without me even trying.” Kiss.
You were putty in his hands, the game of trying to be tough was no longer working, and Spencer was fully aware of it.
His hand leaves your breast and goes back down to between your legs, his fingers running over your inner thighs, intentionally skipping over your core.
You whine as his fingers tickle you, scooting your body back against him. “Spence.” You pathetically whine, taking his hand and leading it to your throbbing middle. You keep your hand on top of his as you feel him play with your slit, feeling all the wetness that was seeping out of you.
“You want me to touch you?” He asks, kissing the spot below your ear.
“Please, baby?” You beg, turning your torso enough to look at him, pouting your bottom lip out ever so slightly.
His fingers part your lips, finding your bud immediately and slowly drawing lazy circles around it. Your body reacts immediately, relaxing against his body as he massages you. Your hand moves back to tangle in his hair, pushing his head closer to yours, your lips meeting for the first time in 3 weeks. His fingers continue to work their magic, as you two heavily make out with one another; his tongue slipping into your mouth and yours into his.
Your body quivers as Spencer drops his fingers down to the pool of wetness between your legs, two of his fingers slipping inside.
You pull back from the kiss, gasping loudly. “Fuck.” Your eyes flicker to his face, your mouth agape.
“It amazes me how tight you are. I’ve been with you for almost 6 years and it’s always so amazing.”
You moan in response, not being able to form words at the moment.
The room is filled with the sounds of the wetness Spencer is drawing out of you and your breathy moans. Your high was coming quicker than anticipated, Spencer could feel it in your body and could see it in your face.
You cling onto his forearm, keeping him in place. Spencer liked to play games like denying you of your orgasms, but you weren’t going to let him this time. Your eyes rolled back in your head as you fought to keep them open but you were far too overstimulated at this point. The knot came undone as you clenched around his fingers, a string of curse words and desperate moans fall from your mouth as you ride your high out.
“That’s it. Good girl.” Spencer coos, still slowly drawing what you have left out as you try to regain your breath. He kisses your cheek and moves his fingers out of you carefully. “Do you want to taste?” He questions.
You roll over onto your back, nodding your head and grabbing his hand, bringing it up to your lips, and letting him slip his middle and ring finger in your mouth. You swirl your tongue around his fingers, sucking on them harshly.
Spencer looks at you in admiration as you look up at him with innocence in your eyes. “I love that I’m the only person that knows how much of a dirty girl you are.”
You open your mouth to let his fingers free, smiling at him. “And I like that I can be your dirty girl.” You say, wrapping your fingers in his curls and bringing his head down to kiss him. “Come here, I want to give you your welcome home celebration.” You say, moving him off of you.
“Normally I’m all for that, but I need to be in you. I’m not going to last long if you use your mouth.”
You sit up on the bed and get up onto your knees, pulling Spencer up to sit up too. You straddle his lap, cupping his face in your hands, rubbing both of your thumbs on his cheek, feeling a bit of stubble in his face. “You look tired, my love.”
Spencer smiles, wrapping his arms around your back, pulling you into his chest. “Not too tired to finish.”
You laugh, kissing him softly. “No? You can go all night? Multiple times?” You teasingly question.
“We can test that theory tomorrow. But right now, we have 3 weeks worth of tension we need to work out.”
“Can I ride you?” You ask.
“Be my guest. I like the view.” He smirks, laying back down against the mattress, his hands gripping both of your thighs.
You get into position, holding his cock steady while you lower yourself down slowly.
Spencer rolls his head back on the pillow, grunting loudly as he feels your tightness around himself. His hands move up your thighs and under your outfit to your hips, gripping them tightly.
You rest your hands on his chest to keep balance, slowly starting to rock your hips against him. Your eyes stay glued to him, watching how his lips were parted and light moans were falling from him. “Do you like that?”
Spencer nods his head, his eyes focusing on your chest bouncing up and down in rhythm of your movements on him. He was trying to focus on anything else in the world to prevent himself from cumming too early.
“Tsk, tsk… words baby.” You tease, scratching his chest with your nails. “You never don’t know what to say.”
“It’s cute when you try to be the one in control.”
“I know I’m cute. You tell me quite often.” You retort with a wide grin.
Your comment earns a laugh from him, playfully rolling his eyes at you. Spencer begins to buck his hips up quickly, taking you by surprise. His fingers move the straps down your shoulders, helping you move your arms out of the straps as you continue to move on top of him. He moves the top half of your outfit down under your chest, his hands like magnets and begins massaging your breasts.
“Fuck, daddy,” You whimper, holding his forearms as he fucks into you. “That’s so good, you’re so good.”
Spencer sits up, letting you take control again. His thumb finds your clit, starting to rub it slowly, his soft brown eyes watching you melt into his touch.
Your eyes roll into the back of your skull, small whimpers leaving your mouth. You lean your body forward and nuzzle your head into Spencer’s neck. You start to kiss his pale skin, raking your teeth against it.
“Mmm, fuck.” Spencer moans out, applying more pressure to your clit as he feels a small pinch on his neck. “You going to cum for me again, pretty girl?”
“Not yet.” You whine in his ear.
“I’m going to move you. I want to fuck you.” Spencer says, moving your body off of his, earning a whine from you as his cock leaves you. “Bend over for daddy.” He says, helping you lay flat on the mattress while your butt is in the air, facing him. “Mmm, you’re so pretty, my girl.” He says in a low voice, both of his hands kneading your ass.
You whine pathetically, pressing yourself against him. “Daddy, please.”
Spencer smiles, grabbing his cock and slowly sliding back inside you. “It’s cute when you try to take control, but even cuter when you’re a whiny mess.” His hand grips the back of your outfit to hold onto as he fucks you from behind. This was his absolute favorite way to have you because of how hard he could slam into you, but the reaction you gave was even better.
Your hand finds his wrist and holds onto it as he  thrusts into your dripping pussy. He could feel how you were coating his cock every time he drew himself back out of you. “I love your cock.” You mutter out.
“This is your cock, baby. You take it so fucking well.” He grunts out, now struggling to keep from exploding. Anytime you fully submitted to him, he was done for.
You had such a strong personality outside of the bedroom that most people wouldn’t believe you were submissive 9 times out of 10.
“Am I your good girl for taking you so well?” You question, looking behind you to look at Spencer with innocent eyes.
His heart and cock fluttered at both your question and your eyes, you always played the innocent card so well. He grabs all of your hair in his hand and gently pulls it back toward him, making you whimper again. “You’re always a good girl for me, my love.” He responds. “Such. A. Good. Girl.” He thrusts into you harshly with each word.
You start to rub your own clit, bringing your second orgasm to the surface for the second time tonight. “You’re going to make me-fuck-me cum. Don’t stop, please don’t stop, daddy.” You were gasping as you spoke, desperate for your release.
“Cum for me, let go my girl.” Spencer says, taking over for your fingers to help bring you to your height. He rubs you quickly, trying not to lose it before you.
Finally you feel your walls clench around his cock, both of you moaning loudly. You moan Spencer’s name along with multiple curse words as he continues to rutt into your sensitive hole.
Spencer pulls out quickly, rubbing himself as he feels his own climax coming to a head.
“No, come back. Put it back in me, please.” You whine, reaching behind you to find Spencer’s cock and lead it back into you.
“You want me to cum in you? You want it inside you?” Spencer groans, seconds away from losing it.
“Please. Cum in me, Spence.” You beg, meeting his thrusts.
Spencer thrusts one last time before he spills himself inside of you, his grip on your hips squeezing as you slowly stop throwing your hips back against him. “Fuck, you’re so good.” He whispers, his eyes shutting as he feels the tip of his cock tingle.
Both of you stay in place as you try to regain your composure. You can already feel your eyes flutter closed, heavy from being tired. Spencer finally pulls out of you, making you hiss and lay flat on the bed.
“Baby, come on, we gotta go clean you up.”
“No.” You whine, closing your eyes again.
“You need to use the bathroom and clean yourself up. We have this conversation every time you’re too tired to get up. Come here, I’ll help you.”
You poke your bottom lip out into a pout as you reluctantly get out of bed, holding Spencer’s hand as you walk into your bathroom together. He helps clean the mess inside you up with a wet towel before leaving you alone to use the toilet.
Once you’re all settled, you walk back into the bedroom, finding Spencer getting the bed ready for both of you to lay down. You wrap your arms around his waist and hug him from behind tightly. Spencer happily hums, reaching behind himself to touch your arm.
“I love you.” You say, giving him a squeeze.
“And I love you.” He says, pulling you around to give you a kiss on the lips. “Do you want to sleep?”
You nod your head, climbing into bed first and getting comfortable right away as you watch Spencer slide in next to you, laying on his side to face you.
You grin ear to ear, kissing his chin. “Hi baby.”
“Hi pretty girl. You good?” He questions, lightly touching your cheek. You lean into his touch and nod. “I’m perfect.”
Spencer brings you into his chest, his fingers rubbing small circles into your shoulder. “Yeah, you are perfect.”
